Meet Spurs target Milik’s model Wag Jessica, who he chatted up in a shopping centre when she was 16 and out with her mum

IT was love at first sight for Spurs target Arkadiusz Milik when he first clapped eyes on future fiancee Jessica Ziolek.
The Napoli hitman, who was an aspiring teenage footballer in Poland at the time, spied the 25-year-old beauty in a shopping centre and knew he had to make his move.

Undeterred by the presence of then-16-year-old Jessica’s mum on the scene, Milik casually asked the stunner for her number.
But Ziolek, playing hard to get, initially joked he should find her on Facebook.
    SHOPPING AROUND
When 17-year-old Milik went to a Polish shopping centre, he never would’ve imagined he’d be shopping for a future wife.
However, he spotted Ziolek when she was searching for a gift for her sister’s husband in the men’s department, and couldn’t keep his eyes off her.

“At one point, my mum noticed that a certain boy was watching me all the time,” Ziolek told Viva!
“‘Mum, leave me alone!’ I said at first. Then the mysterious man came up and asked for my phone number.
“As a rule, I do not give my number to strangers, I said teasingly that he could find me on Facebook.”

HE HAD TO WAIT FOR HER
In 2013, Milik and Ziolek were forced to live apart when he signed for German side Bayer Leverkusen.

Her family believed it was important she stayed in Poland to finish her studies.
“I wanted to do it (move) earlier, because I knew that my place was with him,” she told Gala in 2018.
“But my mother told me to stay in Poland and pass my secondary school-leaving examination.”
Six months later the two were reunited.
    SHE’S IN FASHION
Ziolek has modelled for fashion campaigns in Poland and Italy.
But now she’s a designer in her own right, having launched the Wild Mascot clothing brand in 2019.
And it can be found in prestigious boutiques in Italy too.

Ziolek’s designs are sold in the Michele Franzese boutiques, alongside fashion giants like Yves Saint Laurent.
If she moves to North London, there’s plenty of trendy boutiques here that could stock her clothes.
Maybe she’ll get fellow Spurs Wags to model it too.

Man Utd wonderkid Joe Hugill, aged 16, is 6ft 2in striker who plays like Kane and scored winning pen in EFL Trophy win

MESSI, Salah, Maradona… Joe Hugill is in good company.
Like those star forwards, the Manchester United wonderkid is blessed with a magical left foot capable of hurting the opposition.

It’s why the Red Devils paid Sunderland £300,000 for the 16-year-old back in the summer.
Hugill impressed with United’s U21 team in Tuesday’s EFL Trophy win over Rochdale, coming close when he hit the woodwork and scoring the winning penalty (with his right foot) in a shootout after the sides drew 0-0 after 90 minutes.
The 6ft 2in frame showed he is a capable target man – as comfortable receiving the ball on the deck as he is leaping for a long ball in the air.
Here’s why the Old Trafford hierarchy moved quick to secure Hugill’s services in the summer, beating off competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

    A TRUE MACKEM
Born and bred in Sunderland, Hugill spent his entire youth career at his boyhood club.
In recent years, the Black Cats have produced an incredible array of talent.
England goalie Jordan Pickford and Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson have risen to the top after coming through the ranks in the North East.
Josh Maja made waves in the Sunderland first team before he was signed by Bordeaux, where he is thriving in France.

And Sam Greenwood earned rave reviews for Arsenal’s youth sides, after joining the Gunners in 2018 from the EFL League One side, and recently earned a £3million move to Leeds United.
Like those mentioned, Hugill shone at the ‘Academy of Light’, playing for both the U18s and U23s.
    TECHNICALLY SOUND
First thing you’ll notice about Hugill’s game is his touch.
When the ball is played to feet it sticks, and he’s able to bring others into the game with his link-up play.
But there’s also goals to his game too.
On his Premier League 2 debut, with Sunderland rock bottom of the table, he scored twice against West Ham in a 4-2 defeat.
Hugill also scored a hat-trick against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Youth Cup – alerting scouts to his abilities.

    6

Although more slight in build, he has been compared to England hotshot Harry Kane in terms of his style of play.
He’s not blessed with pace, but he certainly knows where the goal is.
    UNITED’S YOUTH PUSH
Hugill is seen as one for the future by Nicky Butt, now head of first team development, but was formerly overseeing their youth set-up.

The graduate of the ‘Class of ’92’ oversaw the arrivals of Tahith Chong, Charlie McCann, France youth stars Aliou Traore and Hannibal Mejbri, Arnau Puigmal, and Largie Ramazani in that role, until Nick Cox took over the reigns last year.
And with his recommendation, Hugill was added to that list of promising youngsters.
Perhaps the class of 2020 can be just as impressive as Beckham, the Nevilles, Scholes and Co in years to come.

Leeds boss Bielsa is a one-off, not least because he accepts his mistakes and doesn’t just blame the ref

IF coaches were not always using referees as scapegoats, then maybeVAR would never have been introduced and football would not be going through its current crisis with the hand ball law.
But the Premier League can now count on one coach who is unlikelyto spend much time moaning about the officials. Marcelo Bielsa, the Argentine in charge of Leeds United, is far happier blaming himself.

    4

Self-critical Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is happy to accept the blame for his perceived bad decisionsCredit: EPA

He did it again after the weekend’s 1-0 win over Sheffield United.“The game was in its closing stages,” he explained after the match, “and I had to take off either Rodrigo or Partick Bamford. And Bamford is a player who is very useful helping us defend against opposing set pieces.”
And so Rodrigo left the field. “But this change was not the right decision,” Bielsa continued, “because Bamford was tired and I should have kept Rodrigo on the field.”
    THE BLAME GAME
Where many in football are insecure and reluctant to own up to anyerror, Bielsa appears to relish blaming himself.
Still well remembered in Argentina is one of his first games in chargeof the national team, a 1-1 draw with Holland back in 1999.

He made a change at half time, taking off Ariel Ortega and introducing Milan midfielder Andres Guglielminpietro for his international debut. It was not a happy occasion.
Thirty five minutes later, Guly was himself hauled off and replaced by Hernan Crespo. Bielsa blamed himself, accepting that his tactical thinking had not been sound.
And Guglielminpietro is also happy to blame Bielsa, as he made clear when he spoke to an Argentine radio station last year.
“I suffered at the time and it still hurts me now,” he said.

“I wouldn’t do it as a coach. I think [in a polite translation] that I should have told Bielsa where to go. If our paths cross now I believe I would tell him. But I should have done it twenty years ago.”

    CASE OF GUGLIELMINPIETRO
A few months later, Bielsa brought Guglielminpietro off the benchonce more in a Copa America match against Colombia. It was a fiery occasion.
Bielsa had to watch his centre forward Martin Palermo miss three penalties. Right back Javier Zanetti was sent off – and Bielsa, too, was given the red card.
I was at the game, and vividly recall the post match press conference. It was the first time I had seen Bielsa, with his strange manner of not making eye contact, of staring at a point in space while he expressed himself in his own ornate brand of Spanish.
One of the opening questions probed for his thoughts on the referee.
“One doesn’t have the custom of discussing the match day officials,” he began, “but in respect to today’s referee…”

    4

One thing Bielsa will never do is criticise match day officialsCredit: EPA

At this point the whole room was imagining that Bielsa would condemnthe Paraguayan Ubaldo Aquino as a clown who should not be let anywhere near a field again.
Instead he went on with “…. in respect to my expulsion the refereewas absolutely correct, because I protested in an ill mannered form.”
It was instantly obvious that this man was a one-off, and that hiscareer would be well worth following – all the way to the Premier League.
