      But he’s decided to move on to pastures new after three decades with the British broadcasting powerhouse.
      He said in his farewell statement read: “I’m leaving Sky Sports after nigh on 30 years.
      “It’s been an absolute privilege chatting to players and managers – and reporting on games every week on such a successful show.”
      Davis was best known for his reporting on Soccer Saturday, which has undergone major changes following Jeff Stelling’s departure in May.

      And he was quick to issue a lengthy thank you to his now former colleagues and fans.
      His statement continued: “To all those I’ve worked with; the camera ops, the clubs, the players, the managers and all the producers who’ve backed me, the Soccer Saturday team behind the scenes, Jeff and Jules, the Sky family – a huge thank you.
      “And to the fans up and down the country, I’ve bumped into on trains or at games, thanks for watching and your kind words have always been appreciated.
      “It’s been an absolute honour. Here’s to whatever comes next.”

      Davis’ departure came a little over TWO HOURS before the relaunch of Soccer Saturday.
      The iconic show – which features several big-name pundits – was anchored by Sky icon Stelling.

      But long-time Sky presenter Simon Thomas has taken the reigns and will make his debut in the hot seat this afternoon.
      After being named as Stelling’s successor, former Blue Peter presenter Thomas said: “This is a huge moment for me and my family and a massive honour to be trusted with such a well-loved and respected program.
      “It also feels incredibly special to be fully coming back to the Sky Sports family, who all those years ago believed in me after leaving Blue Peter.

      Sky Sports has undergone major changes over the last few months, with several of their big-name pundits and reporters leaving.
      Iconic commentator Martin Tyler – who spearheaded the broadcaster’s commentary team for 33 years – left in June.

      However since then the two have gone down very different paths as Gary was an iconic footballer with England and featured for Leicester City, Tottenham, Everton and Barcelona during his playing days before going on to present Match of the Day.
      Wayne on the other hand is known for owning Ibiza’s famous O Beach Ibiza, which often hosts footballers and beautiful women.
      But it was the caption that caught most of his follower’s attention with his unique way of words.

      The two social media stars were due to fight but tempers flared when Wett slapped her rival, which provoked Grace to rugby tackle her through a table, which happened to be nearby.
      Wett was left splayed out on the floor as medics then rushed to the scene to help her.
      She was then pictured in the back of an ambulance – wearing a neck brace and oxygen mask.
      It remains unclear whether the attack was staged.

      Astrid’s team have confirmed she is “going to be fine.”

      It’s claimed that members of the so-called ‘Rangers Riot Crew’ met up with their counterparts from the French side as they gathered for their side’s clash with Manchester United in Edinburgh.
      The Old Trafford side ran out victors on the day courtesy of a goal from reported Celtic target Donny van de Beek.
      Social media site Hooligans.cz shared the image, along with the words: “XX.07.2023, U25 fight, Rangers (RRC) vs Lyon, 12×12, 1,30 min.
      “Fair fight, win Lyon. Info Lyon: Big respect Rangers. On photo Rangers (RRC) and Lyon together”.

      And one Twitter user wrote in the comments. “Nothing better than the fair fight. Refreshing. Monday morning we put the mask on and we go to work 🙂 Till next time.”
      It isn’t the first time that images of this apparent Ibrox grouping have made the headlines.
      Back in March, a picture shared by several social media accounts, showed 12 people clad in blue tops and hoods posing for a picture in a woodland area.
      Their fists were raised as they stand behind a banner carrying the words ‘Rangers Riot Crew. – amid claims that it was an ‘arranged fight’ between fans of Rangers and fans of Brentford.
