It undercut the likes of Sky Sports by bypassing a Uefa-imposed “blackout” that stops the broadcast of most 3pm kick-offs on Saturdays, which encourages fans to go to games.
Feeds were intercepted from broadcasters in Australia, the UK, US, Canada and Qatar and delivered a few seconds later to subscribers.
The crooked service – which also offered film and tv – ran between 2016 and 2021 and even had its own streaming app.
Flawless went to great lengths to avoid detection, even developing software to blur a unique code Sky adds to stop illegal streamers.

When Premier League investigators raided the homes Flawless’s masterminds, they seized computer equipment and documents detailing the operation.
The group’s “prime mover” Mark Gould netted a staggering £1.7 million from the operation.
He was found in pyjamas surrounded by piles of Doritos packets and Domino’s pizza dips when he was cuffed at his riverside flat in Greenwich, South London.
Doug Love, a Trading-standards investigator who led the raid, said up to 30 set-top boxes running streams were found at the address.

At Derby Crown Court, Gould, 36, was sentenced to 11 years in prison following a rare private prosecution by the Premier League.
Co-defendants Steven Gordon, Peter Jolley, William Brown and Christopher Felvus were all convicted of conspiracy to defraud, money laundering and contempt of court.
Felvus, 36, was also found guilty of voyeurism and possessing indecent images of children.
The four men were sentenced to between three and more than five years.
A sixth gang member, Zak Smith, failed to appear at court for sentencing and a warrant has been issued for his arrest, the Premier League said.
The Intellectual Property Office estimates nearly four million people in the UK used an illegal source to watch live sport last year. More

Neville, Keane & Carragher’s embarrassing Premier League predictions re-emerge from flop title pick to Ronaldo advice

GARY NEVILLE, ROY KEANE and Jamie Carragher’s Premier League predictions have re-emerged following the climax of the campaign.A dramatic final day of the season saw Leicester City and Leeds United relegated on Sunday with Everton surviving with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth.

Roy Keane was also left red-faced with some of his predictionsCredit: Sportsfile
Manchester City had already been crowned champions after Arsenal’s title collapse over the last month.
The Gunners did qualify for next season’s Champions League, with both Manchester United, in third, and fourth-place Newcastle joining them.
Liverpool endured a miserable season but their late upturn in form led them to ending it in fifth.
And that ensures that they and Brighton, who finished sixth, will be in the Europa League.
    READ MORE FOOTBALL
Meanwhile, Man Utd’s Carabao Cup success in February could be followed by FA Cup joy this weekend when they face neighbours Man City in the final at Wembley.
The above has freed up an extra place in Europe, and it was Aston Villa who capped a remarkable turnaround under Unai Emery by finishing seventh in the top-flight to make it to next season’s Europa Conference League.

At the start of the season, Sky Sports asked their pundits to make their predictions for the campaign.
Both United legends Keane and Neville were in agreement that Man City, who are also aiming to complete an historic treble with Champions League success against Inter Milan next month, and Liverpool would be battling it out for the title.

And they both correctly guessed that it would be the Cityzens celebrating – although Neville was way off when saying: “Tottenham are the only team I can see that can get close to them [City and Liverpool].”
Although Keane also backed them to challenge the top two, only for their season to end in disaster after Antonio Conte’s exit.
Liverpool legend Carragher was also left red-faced after he incorrectly backed his old club to win the title “because of Virgil van Dijk”.
He also tipped Spurs to finish third and Chelsea, who finished in the bottom half, to make fourth.
United’s success has all come despite Cristiano Ronaldo’s explosive transfer exit before Christmas following his criticism of Erik ten Hag and the club’s hierarchy.
But that was not what both Keane and Neville were feeling at the start of the season despite him reporting back for pre-season late
Keane said: “You have to try and keep Ronaldo because he’s a brilliant player.
“I don’t think it’s as big of a deal as everyone’s making out.
“When you’re a manager, trouble comes your way, he has to deal with it.
“I think it can work out well for United.”
Meanwhile, Neville said: “Ronaldo has the power, the strength, the status to influence.”
Although Carragher did say: “I’d move Ronaldo on, it’d be the first thing I’d do if I was Ten Hag coming in.
    Read More on The Sun
“He’s almost bigger than the club and we are talking about one of the biggest clubs in the world, and Ronaldo is one of the few players who could be classed like that alongside Lionel Messi.
“You can put up with that if he’s one of the best players in the world – I don’t think he is right now.” More

Jeff Stelling hides emotions behind mask as he’s given standing ovation during touching tribute on last Soccer Saturday

JEFF STELLING bid an emotional farewell to Soccer Saturday after more than 25 years of service – but managed to hold off the tears. The presenter revealed in April he was retiring from his role on the popular football show.
Jeff Stelling bid farewell in his final appearance on Soccer Saturday
Sky Sports paid tribute with some of Stelling’s best moments
Stelling built a reputation for his passionate support of Hartlepool
The presenter had a silly side which viewers adored
Several former colleagues including Chris Kamara paid tribute
Current pundit Paul Merson also shared his love for his pal
And as the Premier League came to a close on the final day, so did Stelling’s time at the helm on Soccer Saturday.
He revealed how proud he was to work on Soccer Saturday over the years and thanked his former colleagues, as well as the fans for watching over the years.
The legendary presenter also paid tribute to his current colleagues Paul Merson, Clinton Morrison, Kris Boyd and Michael Dawson after they gave him a standing ovation.
Stelling joked “Thanks for the applause. But this is tricky because I’ve changed my mind.”

He went on: “It’s fantastic to see the people we’ve all worked with over the years. The likes of Alan Mullery and Clive Allen as well as all of the old gang.
“I’ve had some fantastic messages – Gordon Strachan texted me this morning, Neil Warnock, Kammy [Chris Kamara] of course.
“Elton John rang me this week. I was starstruck when Elton John rang me at home to say thank you so much for all you’ve done.
“And he said: ‘Every week you tell me Watford are losing, and every week you tell me Hartlepool are losing so I feel like we’re kindred spirits’.

“It’s a team game, right from the people in the call centres who take your calls to the runners, the production team, the people behind the cameras.
“Everyone I’ve worked with over the past 30 years I’d like to thank you for that.
“It’s not just on this show, I just want to mention the people on the winning post, the horse racing paper I worked on for many years.
“Times of Our Lives which I adored doing. The live snooker, darts, greyhound racing, pool. It’s been absolutely wonderful. It’s been the best job anyone could wish for.
“The principal success is you lot at home. Soccer Saturday will be back and I’ll be watching – when Hartlepool are not playing.”
Stelling managed to avoid the tears after breaking down during his penultimate appearance on the show last week while discussing the dangers of eating disorders.
The 68-year-old has been a fan favourite thanks to his incredible knowledge, witty banter and passionate support of Hartlepool United.
But he has also not been afraid to tackle difficult subject matter and has raised a lot of awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.
Sky Sports played a compilation of Stelling’s best moments over the years, from celebrating in a Hartlepool shirt to his iconic rant about the brilliance of Middlesbrough, and of course his famous exchange with Kamara after the reporter missed a red card in a match between Portsmouth and Blackburn.
