    What has been said?
But Smith warned: “I’m no stranger to fighting on away soil, having boxed in Saudi Arabia twice, across America, and now heading to Canada on August 19.
“There was no hesitation from me going to Canada to fight Artur Beterbiev, and I will be returning to Liverpool as a world champion once more.
“I’m excited to finally get my opportunity to become a two-weight world champion.”
Beterbiev added: “When you are world champion, everyone wants the opportunity to take your belt, and that’s especially true in my case, with three titles at stake.
“I’ve already started my training camp, and I’ll be ready to not only defend my belts, but to also put on an impressive show August 19 [local time].” More

The Hartlepool-mad footy fan has fronted the show since 1998 but last month revealed he would be departing the Sky Sports programme in an emotional on-air speech.
He said: “I’ve been at Sky for more than 30 years and loved every moment of my time as part of the Soccer Saturday team.
“It is now the right time to move on and give Sky Sports viewers a break from my relentless rants, bad gags and over-the-top celebrations of Hartlepool United goals.
“It’s been a lot of fun – for me at least!”

His final broadcast will be on Sunday in a special to cover the last day of the Premier League season.
A host of tributes will undoubtedly flood in over the weekend for Stelling – but the much-loved Kammy has moved to “get his in early”.
Kamara, who was a long-term colleague on the show of Stelling, tweeted: “This Sunday sees the last day at Sky for the best broadcaster I have ever met @JeffStelling.

Jamie Carragher issues grovelling apology to Man Utd star after writing him off before season had barely started

JAMIE CARRAGHER has apologised for his misjudgement of Manchester United star Lisandro Martinez at the start of the season. The Sky Sports pundit took aim at Martinez back in August, claiming he was too short for the Premier League and would struggle to perform.

Jamie Carragher backtracked on his earlier assessment of Lisandro Martinez
Lisandro Martinez has been brilliant for Manchester United this season keeping eight clean sheets in his 27 league appearances
This came following his side’s horrendous start to the campaign as they lost 4-0 to Brentford.
Carragher sat down with Red Devils legend Gary Neville on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football to discuss their end of season awards and the former Liverpool man swallowed his pride to apologise to Martinez for his early criticism.
Awarding Martinez his ‘Surprise of the Season’ award, Carragher said: “Every player has weaknesses, whatever that may be. Whether it’s physically, technically, and the best players hide their weaknesses.
“We’ve all got them, no one’s the perfect player and I just looked at that and thought ‘how can you overcome that [his height] in the Premier League’

“I mean I wasn’t the tallest centre back and I used to go into games worried I was going to get found out and bullied in the air. Sometimes you lose big challenges for big goals. I thought he’s two or three inches shorter than me.
“But I think, when you’re talking about the role of Casemiro, I think it’s a massive drop off in the Manchester United team when Martinez isn’t in. Defensively but also his ability on the ball when playing out from the back.
“He’s a warrior, he’s a leader, and when you think of that spine of the team, him and Casemiro have made a huge difference.
“So, apologies Lisandro and all Man Utd fans, if you can stop tweeting me about Lisandro Martinez that would be great.”

Martinez has had a terrific campaign for United and Argentina.
The feisty centre-back won the World Cup with his country earlier in the season and has already picked up domestic silverware with the Carabao Cup in February.
He will have the chance to put the cherry on top of his season at Wembley in June when the Red Devils take on their noisy neighbours Manchester City in the FA Cup final.
United have also all but guaranteed Champions League football at Old Trafford next season with only a point needed from their remaining two games to return to Europe’s elite. More

And Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp felt sorry for the £107million midfielder.
The former England ace believes Fernandez appears “lost” as Chelsea’s bulging squad of under-achievers flounder in 12th place.
Interim chief Frank Lampard again found no answers on the pitch as Blues’ fans wait for Mauricio Pochettino to take the permanent job.
Fernandez and Co were largely outplayed by a City side who rested top names like Erling Haaland.

City will clinch a Treble if they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final and Inter Milan in the Champions League showpiece.
But supporters online were dumbfounded by Chelsea’s latest loss.
One posted: “Enzo was angry because he looked around and couldn’t find anyone to pass the ball to.”

A fourth fan agreed: “Really feel for him. I’d be fuming if I were him too.”
But some observers believe the whole Chelsea team seems de-motivated, despite £323million being spent on new players in January.
One posted: “Everybody just looks like they don’t care… there’s nothing to play for so to say, but that’s where pride should come into play.
“These players act like they don’t mind losing. That’s something we can’t have a loser’s mentality will kill the locker room like cancer.”
And this tweet spoke for many views: “This is the final nail on the coffin for Lampard’s managerial career.” More

He spoke passionately about the cause, highlighting issues such as calorie counts being added to many menus across the country
While reading a message from the Dump The Scales activist, the Sky Sports presenter revealed more people die from eating disorders than any other mental disorder each year.
Horrifying statistics showed up to 20 per cent of all cases result in death.
As he broke down, fighting tears, Stelling said: “It’s 2023, eating disorders are being swept under the carpet.
“No one should be dying of an eating disorder in 2023.

“Those with eating disorders need action and help.
    “And they need it now.”
He spoke passionately about the cause, highlighting issues such as calorie counts being added to many menus across the country.
Jeff also revealed that many are told by medical professionals that they’re “not thin enough” to be treated for an eating disorder.

“For those who ‘are not sure what the problem is’ educate yourselves over eating disorders”, he added.
“It is one of the least understood conditions in society today.”

And, SunSport reported earlier this month that Adam Smith – also known as ‘Smithy’ – is frontrunner for the role.
    How to help
If someone you know is being treated for an eating disorder, their treatment team will play a big part in their recovery.
But do not underestimate the importance of your love and support.
    It may help to:

learn as much as possible about eating disorders, so you understand what you’re dealing with
keep telling them that you love them and will always be there for them
make them aware of the professional help available
suggest activities they could do that do not involve food, such as hobbies and spending time with friends
ask them what you can do to help
try to be honest about your own feelings, as this will encourage them to do the same
try to build their confidence, for example, praise them for being thoughtful or congratulate them on something they’ve done

Richards, 34, was caught last August 3 on the B6165 near Knaresborough in North Yorkshire – a short 20-minute drive from his home in the village of Nidd.
And he has now pleaded guilty before Harrogate magistrates to one count of speeding – receiving a £666 fine, but also told to pay a £266 victim surcharge and £90 court costs, making a total £1,022.
Rolls-Royce driver Richards also had three penalty points added to his licence.

He has also spoken out about the racism his family suffered when he was growing up in West Yorkshire.
Since leaving life as top-flight footballer and retiring in 2019, Richards has been dubbed “Mr Monopoly” by friends after amassing a multi-million-pound property empire.
He regularly appears on BBC1’s weekly Match Of The Day football highlights programme as well as podcast shows alongside presenter Gary Lineker and fellow pundits such as Alan Shearer.
And when featuring on Sky and BT Sport he provides post-match analysis with the likes of former Manchester United and Republic of Ireland captain Roy Keane, Liverpool and Scotland’s Graeme Souness and Tottenham Hotspur and England legend Glenn Hoddle.

He scored one goal in 13 appearances for England and also played for the Team GB football side at the London 2012 Olympics.
