    Savannah Marshall WINS
Savannah Marshall defeated Franchon Crews-Dezurn to become a two-weight world champion!
Marshall won 95-95, 99-92 and 97-93 on the scorecards to become undisputed super-middleweight champion.
And rival Claressa Shields watched on from ringside.

    Whittaker wins TKO R8
The referee leaps in to stop the first serious engagement in about 4 hours.
Belujsky’s corner are fuming with it. But there was only 60 seconds left.
It’s over now. We can never ever talk of this again.
    Whittaker vs Belujsky R8
Thankfully – by the good grace of God, Alah, Buddha – this is the final round.
Even the Sky comms team have made a mockery of the ‘glorified sparring’ session.
Hopefully when the MC reads out the offical scorecard, at the end, he just says “who actually cares?”.
    Whittaker vs Belujsky R7
Whittaker drops his hands, pokes his head forward and allows Belujsky to tap him on it three times.
I don’t know what this is any more.
    Whittaker vs Belujsky R6
Day 1,874 in the Manchester ring and Ben Whittaker is still whacking Vladimir Belujsky with ever potshot in the book.
People are too bored to boo, too disenfranchised to protest.
We are just watching the clock and praying for a leap in time.
    Whittaker vs Belujsky R5
Whittaker’s fancy shots are accurate and powerful but they are bouncing off the tattooed bruiser.
Sky commentator Matt Macklin confirms Belujsky would barely be a suitable sparring partner and this fight is nowhere near competitive enough.
I wonder what might be going off in the fridge and suitable omelette ingredient for tomorrow’s breakfast.
    Whittaker vs Belujsky R4
Belujsky lands a weak right hand that Whittaker shakes off unhurt.
The underdog tucks up and absorbs a flurry of blows on his arms and ribs, like a little lump of dough getting kneaded.
Belujsky survives another stanza, a few fans in Manchester head to the bar.
Nitto exciting expected here. Whittaker coasting.
    Whittaker vs Belujsky R3
Standard battering from Whittaker up in Manchester.
The 13-6-1 journeyman is eating up the punishment and not yet quitting.
Credit to Whittaker for not celebrating and showboating too much.
Little more than a sparring session here.
    McCormack wins TKO R5
Tony Dixon’s excellent corner pulls their man out after he starts taking too much punishment.
There was no way the Welshman was going to find a wonder punch to win.
McCormack scored a brutal knockdown at the end of the fourth and Dixon was correctly stopped from starting the fifth.
    Well done all round.
    Whittaker vs Belujsky – R2
Light-heavyweight ace Ben Whittaker is now showing off his skills against limited journeyman Vladimir Belujsky.
The former Team GB starlet dances and prances while slashing in hooks and uppercuts and bollo punches.
Belujsky is cannon fodder tonight. A pin cushion. A human tent peg.
    McCormack vs Dixon – R3
A violent one-two spanks Dixon’s face and then an uppercut turns his legs to jelly.
McCormack has such a pro style, he already looks a punishing counter puncher with a range of ways to win.
A little right hook stumbles Dixon again and he bravely hangs on to last another round.
    McCormack vs Dixon – R2
McCormack trainer Ben Davison tells his man: “He was gone but you turned your back and let him off, I don’t want to see that again.”
Dixon is no journeyman, he is trying to win the fight but he seems a level or two below.
McCormack’s punches are so rapid, if Dixon dares to engages he always gets punished.
Every shot the Geordie thows has bad intentions, nothing is wasted or tentative.
    McCormack vs Dixon – R1
Pat McCormack enjoys his first 10-rounder now against Tony Dixon at super-welter.
The Geordie wonderkid is tipped for professional greatness and Dixon is a sensible test for fight five.
Both men swap body jabs and then McCormack slashes a right hand into Dixon’s head.
Dixon gets stunned by a vicious right and is in deep trouble, he froze and wobbled.
It’s a miracle he heard the bell and will start the second.
    Jonas wins TKO R8
Referee Marcus McDonnell wisely steps in and stops the slaughter.
Kandi Wyatt had been punched all over Manchester by Liverpool’s talented two-weight world champion.
Jonas doesn’t need learning fights at this stage of her career.
And female fighting does not need painful batterings to push its cause.
    Jonas vs Wyatt – R7
Pointless fight up in Manchester where Natasha Jonas has made a punch bag out of Kandi Wyatt.
The Liverpool ace has won every round and really beaten up the overmatched visitor.
Jonas is able to showboat but the bout is impressing nobody as it’s far too one sided.
Wyatt’s corner are too stupid to pull her out so hopefully referee Marcus McDonnell steps in soon.
    Price wins TKO
Beech Jr’s corner pull him out over the cuts he has suffered.
Beech was still standing and throwing.
But the damage was growing around his eyes and the blood was flowing.
Price celebrates but theres still lots to imrove on and he won’t strike fear in future opponents.
Price vs Beech Jr – R6
Beech keeps trying to make it a close-range and scrappy fight.
Price prefers to use his long legs and levers from range.
Beech Jr has a cut opening around his left eye and dripping down into his vision.
It was an accidental clash of heads but Price had scored plenty of legitimate points before then.
Price vs Beech Jr – R5
Beech misses a wild lead left hook in an effort to stop Price’s flow.
Beautiful long jab from Price, like a praying mantis landing a dig.
Beech throws a couple of hooks at Price’s body during a clinch but he gets his own torso tagged back as punishment.
Price vs Beech Jr – R4
Beech down again as soon as the round starts but it’s ruled a push and Price gets a verbal warning.
Beech’s team are fuming their lad has not thrown more punches and accuse their charge of showing too much respect to his opponent.
Price is disciplined and precise but there is no magic on show so far.
Price vs Beech Jr – R3
Beech has got over any early fears he might have had and ventured forward more.
Beech touches the canvas but it’s a clear slip and is not counted.
    These rounds are tight.
This is Price’s first fight up at 9st feather and he needs to impress.
Price vs Beech Jr – R2
Southpaw Price starts brighly with a little right hook around the Beech guard.
But Beech Jr lands a lopped lead left hook of his own that makes a loud slapping noise on Price’s cheek.
Price bullies Beech back into the ropes but smothers his work.
Price vs Beech Jr – R1
Back to Sheffield now where red-hot Leeds prospect Hopey Price faces respected James Beech Jr.
Price starts the featherweight clash with lots of crisp southpaw jabs.
Beech Jr tries to barrel forward but Price’s footwork glides him smoothly out of danger.
    Jeffers caked
The winner beams: “I am so happy, that was an awful performance from me, so s***. But I am a dog.
“I am so much better than tonight but it was just about winner, I let him have the tenth round.”
    Jeffers wins UD
The three ringside judges called the hard-to-score clash: 97-94, 97-93 and 97-94.
Jeffers only took the fight on two-weeks notice and earns a career-changing win.
    Chelli vs Jeffers – R10
Final round of the close super-middle clash between London’s Chelli and Manchester’s Jeffers.
Chelli bobs and weaves but it’s far too close to showboat defensively.
Chelli’s looped right hand continues to fail but Jeffers looks like he’s taking a round off.
Chelli is pouring on the pressure and it could be crucial if the cards are close.
The bell goes and Jeffers roars with celebration while Chelli looks deflated.

Premier League to announce HUGE change from next season – and fans fear the ‘country won’t be able to cope’

THE PREMIER LEAGUE are set to announce a huge change from next season but fans fear the “country won’t be able to cope”.With just six weeks to go until the start of the new season, changes are already being made for the 2024/25 campaign next year.
The Premier League are planning to show every Sunday match live on televisionCredit: Getty
The Daily Mail report that the Premier League plan to have every Sunday match shown live on television from the start of that season.
The revamp is part of planned alterations to the league’s broadcast rights strategy, with the number of televised matches increasing from 200 to 270.
However, the changes mean that fans will face midday and 7pm kick-off times to accommodate the additional televised games.
Friday and Monday evening matches will also increase as part of the proposals.
    READ MORE ON FOOTBALL
The Premier League are keen to attract higher offers from broadcasters, with their current domestic rights deal worth £5billion.
Clubs playing in the Europa League stand to profit from the changes as they will receive £1million per televised Sunday match.
Supporters are not convinced, though, with one tweeting: “Fans don’t want 7pm. This country can’t accommodate (the) travel.”
Another wrote: “They could achieve this by changing the ‘normal’ game time to 2pm Sunday, rather than messing up away fans’ chances of getting home.”

A third also commented: “3pm blackout must stay cause of fans in stadiums but Sunday 7pm will keep fans there.”
Meanwhile, one more argued: “We don’t want changes to the times, just put them all on the TV. Simple.”
The proposed changes come ahead of the next tender document for broadcasters being released in October.
According to the report, the number of television packages available is set to decrease.
Instead, each package will contain more games, with the 20-match package currently held by Amazon Prime set to disappear.
The Premier League hope that this will increase the value of the deal they can agree for the period from 2024 to 2027.
Sky Sports and TNT Sport, formerly BT Sport, are expected to table major bids amid interest from Amazon, Apple TV and Disney.

Dressed in a Hugo Boss cream linen suit, Richard, 66, boarded the Dartmouth Ferry to the wedding ceremony in Brixham, Devon, after staying at the four-star Dart Marina Hotel on Friday night.
Speaking to The Sun ahead of the nuptials, he said: “I’m a very lucky man, although feeling a bit nervous.
“We’re heading off to Canada for our honeymoon which is a bit different.
“Then it’s back to work for both of us in August and the start of the football season for me.

“People think I might be a bit long in the tooth now but I don’t care.”
A source told The Sun: “Richard and Lucie tried to keep the wedding as low-key as possible so decided to have it on a private estate.”

In the days leading up to the wedding, Richard and Lucie, 35, were spotted on social media wining and dining at the five-star Mandrake Hotel in West London.
The couple sent out “save the dates”  in April to their guests on £45 bottles of personalised Veuve Clicquot champagne with “formal invitation to follow”.

They first met when Richard moved to the Middle East to work for broadcaster beIN Sports with his long-time pal Andy Gray.
Lucie, who was best pals with his daughter Jemma, became embroiled in a secret fling with the presenter.
Cheated wife Julia told The Sun that the affair in 2016 which brought their 36-year marriage crashing down had left their family “devastated”.
Now the Daily Mail says that a source close to Julia has revealed that she was unaware of the wedding until she received a text from Richard just two hours before Lucie walked the aisle.
Julia told them: “What can I say – I’m in a new relationship now and I’ve put Richard and our marriage behind me now.
“I wish him and Lucie all the best. If that’s what makes him happy then I’m happy for him but as for me it’s all in the past now. I’m in a new relationship and I’m really happy and that’s all I want to focus on.
“It looks as if he is happy as well from the photographs so all the best to them. As I say anything to do with Richard and our marriage is in the past so I wish them well.”
She had previously said: “He met Jemma’s friend Lucie, who was working in Doha, and the lies began. He claimed she and her friends thought of him as their ‘Doha Dad’.
Keys told The Sun that he was a ‘very lucky man’ ahead of the ceremonyCredit: Wayne Perry
Julia explained how it began after they moved to Qatar.
She said: “I remember at Richard’s birthday party — and I haven’t told anyone this before — just as I was leaving, Lucie grabbed my arm and said: “Are you leaving now, Julia?” She was so insistent, and I thought it was odd — then Richard was ages coming home.
“When I questioned him, he’d said Lucie needed to talk to him as she had a problem.
“I don’t feel bitter towards Lucie, but deeply disappointed that she could devastate our family like this.”
At the time Richard denied he had left her for Lucie.
He also later denied claims that he walked away from his wife while she was battling thyroid cancer.
Wedding guests attended the bash at last weekend at the Marina HotelCredit: Wayne Perry
He told The Athletic: “I’ll mention the unmentionable for you. Did I leave my wife fighting cancer? No. I don’t know what happened.
“I don’t know why our marriage ended the way it did, but my wife was fighting cancer for seven years before I left her and she had been in remission for seven years.
“I know how hard it was for her when things went wrong. I wasn’t going to start engaging in a tit-for-tat, he-said, she-said, respond to everything that was said about me.
“If people believe that I walked away with my wife fighting cancer with a friend of my daughter’s, I can’t change that now. Tell a lie twice and it becomes the truth. Tell it on social media and it haunts you forever.”
Sun Sport understands that his daughter Jemma was not in attendance for the bash, which lasted two days with a pool party on the Sunday.
The party guests were Lucie’s close friends and family, while there were none of his friends or celebrity pals in attendance.
They couple hired a local band and Australian pianist Greg Agar to play at the wedding.
His daughter, former Hollyoaks actress Jemma Keys, opened up over the abusive text messages she sent to her best friend after discovering she had slept with her dad.
Back in 2018 she revealed the betrayal she felt when the affair was discovered and her battle with alcoholism.
Jemma said she was in a state of “alcoholic blackout” when she sent the messages to Lucie Rose, including one that said: “You’re the filthiest sl** I can ever think of.”
Jemma revealed: “All I can say is that it was 18 months down the line from finding out about the affair – which was the most awful betrayal – and I’d hit the lowest, darkest point of my addiction.

“Of course, I can’t justify what I did. But I felt like my father had been stolen from me, and the affair genuinely has destroyed my family and my relationship with Dad.
“He had been my idol all of my life and, although I still love him, I don’t know who he is any more. I have nothing to say to him.”
Jemma said she and her mum found out about the affair while the family was on holiday. That then, she said, led to a two-year nightmare including being arrested for the abusive texts.
At the time of sending the late-night messages she said she was drinking three bottles of wine a day from 8am.
The charges for harassment were later dropped and Jemma said that she was trying to deal with her alcohol addiction and had been in rehab as she outlined her determination to remain sober.

Graeme Souness leaves ITV pundits laughing on live TV with cheeky joke about his wife at Royal Ascot

GRAEME SOUNESS left ITV pundits laughing as he joked that his wife showed “concern” when he was swimming the English channel. The former Sky Sports pundit and Liverpool legend took up the challenge to raise money for the charity DEBRA to help people who suffer from the rare skin disease Epidermolysis bullosa.

Souness, 70, decided to try and raise £1.1million to aid the fight against disease after meeting 14-year-old Isla Grist, who suffers from the condition.
While being interviewed about the swim by ITV’s Ed Chamberlain, Souness was told that his wife had said that she was relieved he completed the challenge and was safe.
To which he hilariously responded: “For the first time in our 30 years together, my wife was showing concern!”
Chamberlain could help but have a laugh at the Scot’s quick joke.

While speaking about the cause, Souness’ passion was evident as he remained determined to raise awareness about the disease and its impact on those affected.
He said: “Isla is such a special little lady, you have to meet her to appreciate that, and the cause is fantastic.
“We’ve managed to raise lots of money, we would never be able to raise enough money for this terrible disease because, never mind a cure, we can’t even offer relief at this time.

“We can never raise enough money but what we’ve done this time round is raise awareness.

“So many people, and I bet you’re one [He said to Chamberlain] of them, that had never heard of Epidermolysis bullosa.
“All I can say is it’s the worst thing I’ve ever witnessed.
“It’s truly horrendous, the poor sufferers never get a minutes relief from it, every waking day is an unbelievably difficult day for them and there’s no light at the end of the tunnel.
“And that’s why we have to find, firstly, giving these poor children relief from the constant edge and the constant pain.
“And also, please God, please God, very soon we find a cure for it.”
Souness’ efforts saw many people donate to the cause, including former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson.
The donation from the Old Trafford icon caused Souness to break down in tears.
He told talkSPORT: “I hope I don’t embarrass him by saying this, but Alex Ferguson donated £20,000 after he quizzed me on it for half an hour.
“He’s got a heart of gold, that man. You have to search for it, but it’s there!”
What is Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB)?Epidermolysis bullosa (EB), also known as ‘butterfly skin’ is the name for a group of rare inherited skin disorders that cause the skin to become very fragile.
Any trauma or friction to the skin can cause painful blisters.
The main symptoms of all types of EB include:

    skin that blisters easily
    blisters inside the mouth
blisters on the hands and soles of the feet
scarred skin, sometimes with small white spots called milia
    thickened skin and nails

The 3 main types of EB are:

epidermolysis bullosa simplex (EBS) – the most common type, which tends to be milder with a low risk of serious complications
dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB) – which can range from mild to severe
junctional epidermolysis bullosa (JEB) – the rarest and most severe type

The type reflects where on the body the blistering takes place and which layer of skin is affected.
There are also many variants of these 3 main types of EB, each with slightly different symptoms.
