    Mauricio Pochettino sneaks up on Sky Sports News reporter while live on air during Chelsea training

    MAURICIO POCHETTINO was keen to keep track of what reporters were saying about him today.Sky Sports presenter Paul Gilmour posted a picture on X (formerly known as Twitter) of Pochettino standing close to him and listening in to what the reporter was saying to camera.

    He captioned the post: “When you’re live on @SkySportsNews from Chelsea training and the gaffer sneaks up to listen in.
    “Thankfully I was saying nice things.”
    The likelihood of reporters saying nice things about Chelsea has increased after a more positive run of results for the club.
    Chelsea returned from their winter break with a 1-0 victory over local rivals Fulham.

    They followed that up with a 6-1 thrashing of Middlesbrough in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final.
    They then drew 0-0 with Aston Villa on the weekend to earn an FA Cup replay.
    Sky Sports presenter Dharmesh Sheth responded to the post with: “hahaha brilliant!!”
    A Chelsea fan also responded with a laughing emoji.

    Chelsea have the chance to continue a recent upturn in form when they travel to Liverpool on Wednesday.

    Chelsea’s form in the league generally this season has been less than stellar.
    The club currently sit in ninth place – although they are just one point off a Europa Conference League spot. More

    Klopp transformed Liverpool back into one of Europe’s most feared outfits since he took charge in October 2015 and has won everything.
    The Kop icon will forever be lovingly remembered as the man who ended their 30-year title drought.
    And he also led the Reds to three Champions League finals,- tasting success in 2019.
    Klopp says he informed Liverpool chiefs of his decision to step down last NOVEMBER but players and staff only learned of his exit yesterday.

    And he revealed that there were “tears” when he told his squad as the countdown officially starts to the end of his reign.
    While Liverpool fans were struggling to contain their emotions – with one even stating that he would rather his wife left him than Klopp quit Anfield – Manchester United fans declared it was the best news ever.
    And legendary Red Devils defender Neville could not resist making a slight jibe towards the Reds and his Liverpool legend Sky Sports co-pundit Carragher with a three-word message.
    Neville posted a photo of himself and Carragher smiling, seemingly on a previous night out somewhere.

    And he decided to caption it with the words: “Klopp’s leaving do”.
    Fans instantly hit back at his wind-up, but not everybody was aggressive.

    A third said: “He’s done you here Jamie ahaha.”
    While a fourth declared: “Nevs crack is brilliant.”
    Meanwhile, Carragher reacted to the bombshell yesterday by saying: “This news was always going to be a body blow to the club whenever it came.
    “I just thought it would be another few years away.
    “What a manager, what a man, let’s go out with a bang Jurgen!”

    Kammy — famed for his catchphrase of “Unbelievable Jeff” when giving match updates to Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling — told how he was on a busy Heathrow to King’s Cross service when he offered a “mature lady” the chance to sit down in his place.
    Chris, 66, said she replied: “Why would I need to?”
    He added on X/Twitter: “I gave her a look of disdain.
    “On reflection, I didn’t offer my seat to any blokes of a mature age.

    “So my apologies. Chivalry is dead.”
    The broadcaster added: “I have chewed on this since Tuesday night and realise I am still a dinosaur.
    “I’m sorry and accept that I was in the wrong and hopefully won’t do it again.”
    Some on the social media platform backed the star, saying: “As a mature woman, I commend your good manners.”

    But others insisted he was being old-fashioned, and sexist, and one said: “I don’t want men to offer me a seat, thanks.”
    Unsurprisingly, popular Chris was backed by male fans, with one saying writing: “Manners maketh the man.”

    Last year, Chris received an MBE for services to charity and anti-racism.
    He has previously told how he was diagnosed with speech disorder, apraxia.
    The condition affects pathways from the brain, making it difficult for someone to say what they want correctly or consistently.

    Man City vs Man Utd derby clash MOVED for TV as new Premier League fixtures are revealed

    THE Manchester derby is set for an unusual kick off time thanks to TV selections.Man City will host their neighbours Man Utd on Sunday March 3 with the game getting underway at 3:30pm.

    The Daily Mail have reported that the decision to change the kick off time came as a result of talks between broadcasters and police.
    The match will be shown on Sky Sports and will mean that Burnley’s clash with Bournemouth will also kick off earlier to accommodate the unusual timing.
    The Turf Moor game will now start at 1pm with most Sunday fixtures normally scheduled for 2pm and 4:30pm.
    The remaining televised fixtures have been announced with a number of heavyweights seeing games moved for TV.

    Luton Town’s battle with Aston Villa will be shown by Sky Sports on Saturday March 2.
    While Arsenal’s trip to face Sheffield United will be the Monday night fixture shown on Sky.
    The reverse Manchester derby fixture back in October was the only other 3:30pm kick off this season.
    And the break in routine didn’t shake Pep Guardola’s men who breezed past their local rivals.

    One said: “‘Carlos Mac Allister’, this commentator just called Alexis by his dad’s name.”
    Another added: “Did the @SkySports commentator just say Carlos Mac Allister or am I hearing things?”
    One joked: “Who’s Carlos Mac Allister?”
