That is according to the Daily Mail, who state that “clubs are braced for a rearranged festive fixture list that could see Christmas Day left as the only one without a televised game”.
Premier League execs are currently making their amendments to the match schedule for the back end of December and January.
They have already announced their TV picks and alterations for the first round of games for December.
And now they hope to confirm the Festive fixtures and their new timings early this week.

This fresh update states that “scheduling a first Premier League game on Christmas Eve since 1995 has been on the agenda” for bosses.
Wolves’ home clash with Chelsea is the favourite for the controversial TV spot but that has received fierce backlash since speculation emerged last week.
Top-flight teams are aware that further changes have been discussed and that they would enable supporters to watch at least one match per day – except for December 25.
However, there are a number of factors to be considered before any official announcement such as travel issues, policing and broadcasters.

Due to the Qatar World Cup last winter, last season’s festive fixtures did not get underway until Boxing Day.
During the 11 day period that followed there was only a December 29 that did not feature a Premier League match on TV.
This report also states that “at least one match is in line to be pushed back as far as January 2” with the FA Cup third round taking place over the opening weekend of the New Year. More

Throughout his time as the voice of football for Sky, he commentated on the biggest matches, domestically and in the Champions League, and he also reported on World Cup finals.

Shreeves spent 31 years with Sky Sports, but is now offering his broadcasting services to the USA with CBS Sports on their CBS Sports Golazo show.
And he wasted no time in making his opinions on UK coverage heard when he made his debut on the show on Saturday.
The television legend vented his frustrations and envy that fans in the United States are able to watch more Premier League games than those in the UK.
Shreeves said: “First and foremost my reaction to what you’re doing there right now is one of envy. We don’t have that here in the UK.

“We don’t have a show, two hours long, dedicated simply only to football [CBS Sports Golazo].
“You can see more Premier League football if you’re living in America than you can if you live in the UK.
“Every game is televised for the American audience and it’s absolutely fantastic, the coverage.”
Shreeves was highlighting an opinion held by many football fans on this side of the pond who have grown frustrated over recent years at the 3pm blackout.

The blackout prevents live football from being shown on TV in the UK between the hours of 2.45pm and 5.15pm on a Saturday.
And the rule dates all the way back to the 1960s when Burnley chairman Bob Lord proposed the idea.
After speaking with other Football League chiefs he successfully convinced them that televised games on Saturday would have a negative impact on lower league match attendance.
As a result foreign countries are able to watch EVERY single Premier League match while fans at home can only watch those in designated TV slots. More

Sky Sports were meant to cut to pundit Sue Smith, who was covering Bournemouth’s clash with Wolves, but a major blunder meant viewers saw live football instead.
Kyle Walker was seen playing a long ball up to Erling Haaland as Lewis Dunk won the header.
The action was on screens for just seconds before the it was swiftly taken down.

Pep Guardiola’s side went on to win the game 2-1.
The blackout is set to continue for at least another five years with the Premier League not ready to change the TV rules.
It was introduced in the 1960s in an attempt to protect attendances.
From 2025 all games outside the 3pm slot will be broadcast live to English viewers. More

The game marked Emery’s one-year anniversary at the club since taking over from Steven Gerrard.
And he is certainly making his mark both in the Premier League and in Europe.
Former Villa boss Smith, 52, was covering the game as a pundit for Sky Sports and before the match he came face-to-face with Emery live on-air for a chat.
Smith greeted the ex-Arsenal manager with a warm handshake as it was smiles all-around.

He then asked him about the impressive home record since his arrival, with today their 11th-successive Premier League victory at Villa Park.
Emery replied by discussing how he wanted to reconnect the fans and get back the special atmosphere.
Smith then told Emery that he had succeeded in getting that connection and said he knew what it was like when the crowd was behind the team.
Sky Sports shared the clip on social media – and it soon sent Villa fans into meltdown as they loved the meeting between past and present.

“Brings a tear to my eye. UP THE VILLA.”
“I’m crying,” said another fan while a fellow Villan said: “I’m not crying you are.”
As another comment read: “Can’t decide which one I love more.”
Smith grew up as an Aston Villa supporter and he landed his dream job back in 2018 after catching the eye at Brentford.
He guided his boyhood club straight to promotion via the Championship play-offs and then led them to survival during his first two seasons at the helm.
But he was axed by the club in November 2021 after a run of five straight defeats.
Smith returned to the dugout at Norwich just days later but he was unable to stop the Canaries from suffering relegation from the top-flight.

After a run of just three wins in 13 Championship matches saw them fall from first in October to fifth, he was sacked in December 2022.
He then took charge of Leicester City with just eight games to go of last season, but once again he could not produce the magic to keep them up and he has been out of work since leaving them in June. More

TNT Sports could LOSE prime Premier League TV slot with new streaming service tipped to challenge for rights

THE PREMIER LEAGUE’S broadcasting rights could be in for a major shake-up as the company prepares to sell its domestic TV rights for the first time in six years. And one player keen to enter the market is British streaming company DAZN, who have so far made their name in this country largely for their boxing coverage.
TNT Sports could lose their Saturday 12:30pm slot to DAZNCredit: Rex
The Times report the company are keen to make a splash in the British football market and the latest auction put forward by The Premier League is the perfect opportunity to do so.
The Premier League have planned to make their offering more attractive to UK broadcasters by upping the number of games available for broadcast from 200 to 270.
There will be five packages worth of games sold, which in theory could go to five separate broadcasters.
But The Times claim that Sky Sports and TNT Sports are set to remain the major players in the market, although DAZN could provide a serious challenge to TNT.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
DAZN are particularly keen on the Saturday 12:30pm slot and could enter a bidding war with TNT to take the slot from their rival.
The report also outlines that there is a small chance that YouTube may enter the race for one of the slots, although Apple have ruled themselves out of the race.
The value of the domestic rights package is not expected to rise from the current estimated £1.71billion which was paid in 2018.
That number had flatlined from the record amount of money paid for domestic rights in 2015 – which is now seen as the peak of The Premier League’s TV value.

The report also details that it is unlikely that Amazon will get into a bidding war to keep its current set of fixtures which focus around the league’s festive fixtures.
It’s reported that Amazon paid “peanuts” for their current rights to show two game weeks worth of fixtures.
While the price for domestic TV rights is expected to remain static – Premier League chiefs are not expected to sweat on the issue given the vast majority of profit is driven by the league’s overseas packages. More

And he gave his view on Luton’s goal against Nottingham Forest as the Hatters pulled one back after trailing 2-0.
