Will Roy Keane still be on Sky Sports?
SunSport understands reps of the Sky Sports pundit Keane have made contact with Easter Road chiefs to confirm his interest.
And he is ready to LEAVE behind his TV duties behind to replace ex-Celtic team-mate Maloney.
Keane, 50, is one of the stars of both Sky Sports and ITV punditry and had spoken about how much he enjoys the role.
The former midfield ace said: “I’m not fearful if someone said you’ve got to do TV for the new few years, I am fine with that because I do count my blessings. As you know, there are a lot of ex-players looking to get back into it and I am alright with that.
Keane has said how much he enjoys working with Carragher ans Richards
“Micah [Richards], Gary [Neville], and you [Carragher] love the game don’t we, we give our opinions and I’m not sure everyone agrees with them. We love the game and hopefully that comes across.
“I enjoy working with different people and it is just their opinion. Micah is a good personality and a decent guy. You just want to work with good people don’t you?”

Sky Sports colleague Jeff Stelling led the tributes as the news broke on Saturday.
He said: “The man is simply a genius, he’s an absolute genius.
“I can say from my point of view it’s been a privelege to work with Kammy for so long, he’s a key part of the Soccer Saturday success story.
“His warmth, his energy, his humour, his ability to misread cards. No one worked harder. He’s a good man, one of the very best, great friend, I will miss him enormously. Good luck Kammy!”
Fellow pundit Paul Merson added: “His knowledge of football is second to none. What a bloke and he loves his football.
“People will say he’s funny but his knowledge of football was scary. He will be sorely missed.”
Fans have shown concern for Kammy since he announced last month that he was battling a condition called Apraxia of Speech.

WSL gets TV audience boost with Sky Sports football director revealing higher than anticipated viewing figures

WOMEN’S Super League match coverage is pulling in more than 120,000 watchers per game on Sky Sports this season. Its audience reach peaked during Manchester City vs Tottenham last September with around 550,000 viewers tuning in.
Manchester City’s WSL duel with Tottenham is thought to have attracted more than half a million viewers on Sky SportsCredit: Getty
Last June, the channel committed to exclusively air at least 35 games live as part of a landmark broadcast deal which commenced at the start of this season.
Sky Sports’ director of football Gary Hughes revealed viewing figures for coverage of top tier clashes had been “dramatically up” on what was expected in its first term as a WSL broadcast partner.
Speaking at this year’s Sports Pro Live event, Hughes said: “Our audience is up dramatically from what we anticipated and what it was on pay TV last year.
“I think our average is around 125,000 a game — I think that’s up around 175% per cent.
“I believe our reach is around six million which I think is around a 200% increase.

Kick-off times have occasionally been a bugbear for some WSL match-going fans.
This term a few have taking to social media to comment on clashes between games involving top tier men’s and women’s sides.
On kick-off times and TV coverage, Hughes said: “(In terms of) kick-off slots, that is something we will continue to talk about.

“It was about finding the right time for the matches, and we’ve not stumbled but we’ve come across an evening kick-off time (on a Sunday evening) that inherits the audience of Super Sunday which is huge.
“You’re taking a big Sky Sports football audience into the women’s game.”
Sky’s and BBC Sport’s broadcast coverage of WSL matches are a part of a three-year TV deal worth £24million.
It is thought to be the biggest commercial agreement in women’s football history.

Roy Keane ready to LEAVE Sky Sports and take Hibs job as representatives make contact with Scottish Premiership club

Roy Keane is ready to give up his gig at Sky Sports for the Hibs jobCredit: Sky Sports
The former United skipper hasn’t worked in top-level management in more than a decade – when he was sacked as Ipswich Town boss in January 2011.
But he is ready to leave his TV duties behind to replace ex-Celtic team-mate Shaun Maloney.
Hibs owner Ron Gordon has said he’s likely to go with a more experienced gaffer after rookie Maloney lasted only 120 days.
Keane, who bossed Sunderland to the Premiership in 2007, has been assistant to Martin O’Neill with the Republic of Ireland and Nottingham Forest, and was Paul Lambert’s No2 at Aston Villa.

He was also interviewed for the vacant Sunderland job this year before talks broke down and Alex Neil was given the gig.
David Gray and Eddie May will remain in charge of the team until the end of the season.
Gordon admitted in the wake of Maloney’s sacking that he knew appointing the former Belgium no2 would be a risk.
He now says he will avoid making a similar mistake when selecting the next man to fill the hot seat at Easter Road.
US-based Gordon says he takes his share of the blame for the mess, having also axed Jack Ross in December, as he detailed the direction of the club’s search for a new boss.
He said: “I don’t know if we can take that risk again (of appointing an inexperienced manager).

“We need to take risks from time to time but that one was a little too ambitious on our part.
“It could have gone the other way. Shaun could have done a fantastic job and we could be celebrating a terrific season.
“It didn’t pan out, that’s the beauty and challenge of football. How much risk do we want to take? I don’t know.
“We’ll cast our net wider in terms of recruitment of coaches and players and the kind of football we want to play.
“We don’t want to limit ourselves. We have a list of potentials which has a little bit of everything, but many are from the UK.” More

Neville, 47, couldn’t resist taking a playful dig at usual sparring partner Carragher.
This week, he targeted the former Liverpool defender’s hair colour.
Posting a picture of Carra on tonight’s show, Neville wrote: “What’s happened to his hair? He’s had a yellow rinse!”
He then likened Carragher’s do to that off the late former Bullseye presenter Jim Bowen – posting pictures of them side by side.

The 44-year-old was also roundly mocked for his trousers – and how short they were.
Sky Sports Premier League’s Twitter account posted an image of him, writing: “Have your trousers shrunk or have you grown? @Carra23 🤣👖”
And plenty of fans also noticed, pointing them out to Neville.
One wrote: “Talk about those trousers too … they had an argument with his shoes?”
