ARSENAL legend Paul Merson was left in stitches after being mercilessly mocked about his ‘unmanly’ snack choice live on telly!Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling held up Merson’s bag of lentil crisps to the camera for viewers at home to see, and then asked him, ‘What kind of man are you these days?’

Stelling held up the bag of crisps for everyone to see
Merson took the joke in good spirits
The hilarious exchange was typical of the banter which has made the weekly football scorers round-up service so popular since its launch in 1992.
Stelling help up the packet of Proper Chips to the camera, and joked: “You may have briefly heard some interference as we were going to the commercial break and I was finishing with the scores… and this is the reason.
“They were in Paul Merson’s hands at the time – he was eating his crisps.
“And do you know what the worst thing about it is? Look, they are BBQ lentil!
“What happened to salt and vinegar for goodness sake!

The 66-year-old revealed last month that he is calling time on his Sky Sports career after 30 years with the broadcaster.
He announced during a show: “Iโ€™m not intending to retire, thatโ€™s up to people out there.

Lopez beat Lomchenko on points in October 2020 to win the WBA, WBO, IBF and Ring Magazine titles, but now the Ukrainian is on a warpath as he sets out to get his belts back.
And his next stop is Commey, who was knocked out by Lopez in the second round of their clash back in December 2019.
When is Vasyl Lomachenko vs Richard Commey?

Vasyl Lomachenko’s return to action against Richard Commey will take place on Saturday, December 11.
The bout will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
There will be a sold-out capacity crowd of 17,000 inside the arena for the match-up.

What channel is it and can it be live streamed?
Lomachenko vs Commey will be shown live on Sky Sports Arena in the UK.
You can live stream the action from the NOW TV or Sky Go app, both of which are available for download onto your mobile or tablet device.

Nico Ali Walsh vs. TBA (4 rounds – middleweight)

    What have they said?
Lomachenko said: “It is always special when I fight at Madison Square Garden, where so many great moments in my career have taken place.
“Richard Commey is a former world champion, an opponent I will not underestimate. I expect the best version of Commey, and I will be prepared for whatever he brings on December 11.”
“It is only fitting that the great Lomachenko headlines boxing’s highly anticipated return to Madison Square Garden,” said Top Rank chairman Bob Arum.
“However, Richard Commey can never be counted out, as he’s a tough fighter who carries huge power in both hands.” More

Micah Richards mocks Sky Sports colleagues as he jokes about Carragher protecting Gerrard like Neville does Solskjaer

MICAH RICHARDS has joked that Jamie Carragher may choose to defend new Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard in the same way Gary Neville has with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.Gerrard, 41, was confirmed as Dean Smith’s successor at Villa Park on Thursday morning.

And Richards was quick to question what Gerrard’s ex-teammate Carragher’s approach will be when critiquing him on Sky Sports.
Speaking on Twitter, Richards said: “I wonder if Carragher is gonna protect Gerrard like Neville protects Solskjaer. But thatโ€™s not my business.”
Jabbing back at Richards, one social media user said: “We can wait for the Man City legend to become manager for you to criticise. Oh wait there arenโ€™t any.”
Another added: “Iโ€™m not sure Gerrard will need the same amount of protection that Ole does.”
Neville has been consistent as a pundit in saying he will never call for a manager to be sacked.

Speaking last month about his position on Solskjaer, the ex-Man Utd full-back said: “I’ve got Manchester United fans on my social media all of the time saying, ‘Gary, he’s your mate. You won’t call him out.
“No, I won’t. I won’t call Steve Kean out, or Arsene Wenger at Arsenal. I’m not going to come on this show 11 years later and ask for a manager to be sacked. It’s never going to happen.
    “He’s a club legend. He’s my team-mate. I actually like him a lot.
“Manchester United have failed with two previous managers who have been world class.
“I think they persist until the end of the season.”
Neville’s position has left many Man Utd fans angry, particularly those who want Solskjaer to be sacked.

Steven Gerrardโ€™s emotional Liverpool return will NOT be shown on TV with Aston Villa match not picked by Sky or BT Sport

And his arrival at Villa Park means he will now have to coach his side against the club he made more than 700 appearances for between 1998 and 2015.
Aston Villa travel to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side on December 11.
However, BT Sport and Sky Sports have already selected their Premier League games for December – and Liverpool vs Aston Villa is not one of them.
Instead, the game will take place at 3pm on the Saturday when the UK television blackout is in force.
The matches aired on Sky that weekend will be Brentford vs Watford, Norwich vs Manchester United, Leicester vs Newcastle and Crystal Palace vs Everton.
Meanwhile, BT Sport are showing the early kick off on Saturday between Manchester City and Wolves.

Gerrard has not been back to Anfield as a player or manager since leaving for LA Galaxy six years ago.
The midfielder scored 186 goals for the Merseyside outfit and is widely regarded as one of the club’s greatest ever players.
His crowning moment came in 2005 when he fired the Reds to Champions League glory in Istanbul.
And in December of last year Gerrard confirmed he hopes to be manager of Liverpool in the future.
He said: “Would I love to be the coach of Liverpool one day? Is it a dream? Of course.
“Itโ€™s a club that means everything to me but weโ€™ve one of, if not the best, managers in the world who has been absolutely incredible since he came through the door.
“And the success heโ€™s delivered in the last couple of years means that Liverpool are in a fantastic place. Long may that continue.

“Just because I was a good player for Liverpool and had the career I had there, doesnโ€™t necessarily mean youโ€™re next in line to be manager.
“If one day that job ever becomes available, there will be a queue a mile long, full of top-class managers. It doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™re the best person for the job.” More

Souness and Richards clash in Sky Sports studio over who is at fault for Man Utdโ€™s second goal against City

PUNDITS Graeme Souness and Micah Richards engaged in a heated debate in the Sky Sports studio on who was at fault for Bernardo Silva’s goal in Saturday’s Manchester Derby. A lacklustre Manchester United were beaten 2-0 – with Souness and Richards providing plenty of full-time entertainment.

The Sky panel were discussing the second goal after the game which saw Bernardo ghost behind Luke Shaw at the back post to turn home a Joao Cancelo cross.
But Liverpool legend Souness believed the cross should have stopped at source – with Aaron Wan-Bissaka at fault.
He fumed: “He [Wan-Bissaka] should be sprinting out and stopping the cross.”
But Richards hit out by saying Bruno Fernandes should have helped track back to stop the cross.
The ex-City man fired back at Souness: “He’s scared, he knows he hasn’t got help from Fernandes.”
That didn’t go down well with Scotsman Souness, who scoffed: “Try to forget everything you’ve just said.”

Meanwhile the usually vocal Roy Keane sat silence in the middle as the pair engaged in the back-and-forth row.
United hero Keane however did find plenty of time for a hilarious rant on the Red Devils performance.
The 50-year-old went berserk at Fred in particular, raging: “If Ole walked in here now I’d grab him and say why are you playing Fred?”
And the Irishman’s meltdown continued as the ex-midfielder seethed: “It was so poor. Men v Boys. Foden mentioned it is a tough place to come, it is not.
“Ask Everton, ask Villa, ask Liverpool. I know the away record has been fantasticย but ultimatelyย it is what you do at home.ย
“McTominay, Fred. These players are not good enough for Manchester United.
“I was not shocked about Bailly. He has that in him, he is erratic. After a derby game you should be drained and exhausted.
“Foden is chatting as if he has had a practice game.”ย

Jesse Lingardโ€™s brother slams Man Utd legends Roy Keane and Neville over โ€˜double standardsโ€™ after Sky Sports rants

JESSE LINGARD’S brother has leapt to the defence of the Manchester United players after several pundits laid into them following their 2-0 defeat to Manchester City. The Red Devils were swatted aside by the Premier League champions, succumbing to an own goal by Eric Bailly and a second from Bernardo Silva.

Keane was incredibly angry at what he saw at Old Trafford on Saturday
Sky Sports commentator Gary Neville proceeded to slam his former club after the game along with the studio panel of Graeme Souness, Roy Keane and Micah Richards.
But Louie Scott, the brother of Man Utd man Lingard, ripped into the pundits’ assessment of the match.
Speaking on Instagram, he said: “Didn’t know Sky show live training sessions now.
“Keane just said go smash someone. Pogba did it last week and got killed for it by Scholes. Double standards.
“Stop reading into these pundits!!! Still waiting for G.Nev to talk about body language…Oh I forgot he will only say that about the players.”
England international Lingard was an unused substitute in the match as pressure grew even more on manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Keane’s rage boiled over on the Sky coverage as he was left apoplectic at what he had seen from his former club.
The Irishman believes it was an even more harrowing display than the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool 13 days earlier.
He said: “It felt worse [than Liverpool]. City are a different type of team to Liverpool. They were happy to keep the ball and they just toyed with United.
“It was so poor. Men v Boys. Foden mentioned it is a tough place to come, it is not. Ask Everton, ask Villa, ask Liverpool. I know the away record has been fantasticย but ultimatelyย it is what you do at home.
“McTominay, Fred. These players are not good enough for Manchester United.
“I was not shocked about Bailey. He has that in him, he is erratic. After a derby game you should be drained and exhausted. Foden is chatting as if he has had a practice game.ย
“Ole…The first day he got the job people did not think he was up to it because of his track record. Pressure is going to build on Ole.
“For the second goal, I look at Shaw and De Gea who areย establishedย international football players. How they cannot smell the danger. These boys are too casual.ย
“Ole has to take responsibility. I have defended him for the last two years. They have to look at it and see they have to get more out of these players. They are so short in midfield in termsย of physicality and quality.

“Today I am feeling sorry for them. Some of them just aren’t up for playing for Manchester United.”
The loss leaves Man Utd well adrift in the Premier League title race as they appear to already be in a fight for the top four.
Solskjaer’s side have won just five of their opening 11 Prem games and remain dreadfully out of sorts. More
