      F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix: UK start time, TV channel, live stream and full schedule for practice and qualifying

      THERE simply is no bigger finish what is coming – Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen are going to engage in an unmissable F1 season finish.The pair have been locked in a stunning tussle all 2021 season for the crown of world champion and have dragged back fans to the sport in the process.

      There was no love lost last weekend at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix, where the pair were involved in ANOTHER collision, as the Dutchman was forced to let the Brit overtake him.
      But they finished in first and second spot in Jeddah, meaning they are incredibly on exactly the same points total of 369.5 points.
      There is even an unlikely scenario where Hamilton and Verstappen could finish the season on the same points total – and that would result in the Dutchman clinching world championship victory.
      Hamilton is within touching distance of immortality, a victory for him this weekend would take him one world title ahead of Michael Schumacher’s magic mark of seven drivers’ championships.
      Abu Dhabi’s Yas Marina Circuit has undergone a series of changes in a bid to make the Formula One season finale even more exciting for drivers and fans.
      A chicane has been removed, with a wider hairpin now forming turn seven, while four tight corners, 11 to 14, have also gone – replaced by one long, cambered turn.
      Further alterations at the hotel section, turns 17 to 20, have been made to allow the cars to run closer together in an attempt to boost the number of overtaking opportunities on the circuit.
      The changes mean it is harder to determine which car will be better-suited to the Yas Marina Circuit, with Verstappen winning here last year to end a run of six consecutive Mercedes victories in the United Arab Emirates.

      F1 heads to Abu Dhabi for the final weekend of the season, starting on December 10 and ending on Sunday, December 12.

      Hamilton is level on points with Verstappen as he bids for a record eighth world title after an explosive race last weekend in Saudi Arabia.
      The winner-takes-all clash is a thrilling finale to an excellent season where the Brit has battled back from being 32 points behind the Dutchman.
      Over 2.6million watched on Sky F1 as Hamilton won the last race in Jeddah.
      But those numbers are set to rocket this weekend with it being made more widely available.
      Sky have the rights to broadcast all of F1’s GPs live while C4 only show the British GP live with the rest of their coverage in the form of a highlights show.
      They did come to a ‘sharing’ agreement with Channel 4 for England’s dramatic Cricket World Cup final win in 2019 – so there is precedent.

      THE ABU DHABI GP could be shown for FREE on TV as Channel 4 and Sky are in talks to share the live rights, according to reports. Sunday’s ‘winner-takes-all’ showdown between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen is set to be a thriller and British TV audiences may be able to watch it for nothing.

      Sky are the live rights holders but sources close to Channel 4 told the Times initial discussions have taken place about a deal which would see the race shown on free-to-air terrestrial TV too.
      Hamilton, 36, and Verstappen, 24, are level on points in the drivers’ standings which has set up a mouthwatering final race of the season.
      The Brit would bag a record eighth championship were he to win.
      Channel 4 currently have the highlights rights to the F1 coverage which has encouraged fans.
      But an outcome to the talks is not expected until later this week.
      And there is also said to be a chance the decision may not be made until the weekend.

      Sky reportedly declined to comment to the Times.
      Sky do not need to strike a deal with Channel 4 to make the eagerly anticipated finale free to the public.
      The broadcasting giant also has the option to show it one of its free channels.
      But they did come to a ‘sharing’ agreement with Channel 4 for England’s dramatic Cricket World Cup final win in 2019 – so there is precedent.
      A similar deal was also struck in September when Prime Video let Channel 4 show Emma Raducanu’s historic win in the US Open tennis final.

      Sky have to balance the potential good publicity and the chance of attracting new subscribers for next season against kickback from fans who have already paid to watch the race.
      But former sports minister Tracy Crouch wholeheartedly urged the broadcast giant to make it available for free.

      Sky Sports News has ‘absolute shocker’ with three minutes of technical difficulties that leaves reporters puzzled

      SKY SPORTS NEWS has left viewers in stitches after technical issues led to the sound cutting out for three minutes.When presenter Jo Wilson returned from the advert break it quickly became apparent her audio was not being transmitted.
      Wilson was helpless as the audio failed her in the studio
      Reporter Paul Gilmour was left puzzled as to what was going on
      Unaware of the technical problems, she continued to speak for over a minute despite those watching on having no idea what she was saying.
      She then went over to reporter Paul Gilmour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for a half-time update of the Premier League game between Spurs and Norwich.
      But it had clearly not been fed back to Gilmour that he was going to be on screen as background noise from the stadium was all that was on offer when they threw over to him.
      Speaking to someone in his ear, he then said: “Yeah, yeah, I’m here,” before looking utterly confused as to what was going on.
      Sky then cut back to presenter Wilson who was still without audio, before she checked in with Simon Grayson – who was working the punditry for Leeds vs Brentford.
      But Grayson – like the rest of the audience at home – could not hear a word Wilson was saying.

      And he confirmed the audio difficulties by saying: “I can’t hear anything from the studio.”
      Wilson, at this point laughing a little given the ludicrousness of the situation, took it upon herself to talk through some highlights of Celtic’s win over Dundee United.
      And while the showing of the match was being aired her audio suddenly came back on after three minutes of radio silence.
      The sound dropped in and out for a couple of minutes before being fixed completely.
      Sports fans across the country were left dumbfounded and entertained in equal measure.
      One said: “Sky Sports News is a car crash right now. This is just funny.”

      While another added: “Hahahahah this is an absolute shocker on Sky Sports News.”
      A third person said: “Well done, Sky Sports News. No audio. Should’ve just gotten the rights to show at least one of the 2pm kick offs.”
      And a fourth added: “Sky Sports News having a bit of a nightmare here.” More

      Former West Ham, Leicester and Everton striker Tony Cottee has been axed by Sky after 20 years with the broadcasting giant.
      The well-liked 56-year-old has been let go with Karen Carney and Michael Dawson joining the team.
      Carney will be the lead WSL pundit with Sky set to show live coverage of the women’s league this season.
      Former Tottenham man Dawson will join Jeff Stelling’s Soccer Saturday team while Michelle Owen will present EFL shows.
      Caroline Barker, Lynsey Hooper and Seb Hutchinson will join the WSL team from September.

      BT SPORT
      Gary Lineker is the main departure having quit their Champions League coverage to follow Leicester around Europe.
      But fans can expect to see their favourites on BT Sport’s star-studded lineup for the Premier League.
      Former Manchester United stars Rio Ferdinand, Robin van Persie and Owen Hargreaves will all provide up to date analysis.
      Jermaine Jenas, Michael Owen and Peter Crouch also remain on the team, as do Robbie Savage and Chris Sutton.

      AMAZON PRIME
      The online broadcaster will show 20 Premier League matches across two gameweeks in the 2021-22 season.
      Amazon’s first fixture round runs from November 30 to December 1 with the second on December 28.
      But to cover so many games in such a short space of time, Amazon Prime employed more than 40 stars of TV and radio to help them deliver their coverage last season.

      Gabby Logan, Eilidh Barbour, Steve Bower and Jim Rosenthal make up the presenting team.
      Alan Shearer, Owen and Harry Redknapp are among the biggest names in the punditry seats.
      And commentating big-wigs including Clive Tyldesley and Guy Mowbray provide the play-by-play for the matches.
