      He was thought to have been under investigation for alleged controlling behaviour after a female employee lodged an official complaint last year.
      But Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claimed to have seen messages at the heart of the probe that were “sexually orientated”.
      Horner, 50, vehemently denies the allegations and has vowed to fight the claims.
      He is said to be hoping for the investigation to be resolved within the next week — when the team will fly to Bahrain for pre-season testing.

      He has already faced an eight-hour grilling but is said to be happy to cooperate with the investigation for as long as necessary, including answering more questions from an independent lawyer.
      In the meantime, the Spice Girls, who had a hit with Say You’ll Be There, have been rallying around Geri, 51.
      A source said: “They are quietly supporting her behind the scenes and checking in to make sure she is OK.
      “Geri has been left ­broken by the ordeal, but is grateful for the kindness being shown to her by friends.”

      He went on to play for Leicester, Millwall, Southampton and Coventry before moving into management, his longest spell behind the wheel being two years at Swindon.

      State prosecutors have said they wanted him jailed for nine years if convicted of raping a woman in a Barcelona nightclub on December 30, 2022.
      The dad-of-two has previously confirmed he had sex with a woman in the nightclub’s toilet but insisted it was consensual.
      A lawyer acting for Alves’ female accuser, has called for him to face the maximum 12-year prison sentence if he is found guilty.
      Both prosecutors are also seeking a compensation payment of £128,000.

      Failing an eleventh-hour plea bargain deal, the trial will start at 10am local time at Barcelona’s Audiencia Provincial Court and is scheduled to last for three days.
      The three judges, who are sitting without a jury as is normal in Spain for sex crime cases, have around a fortnight to return their verdict once the trial ends and will announce their decision in a written ruling.
      Alves, who can opt to take the stand on the last day, has insisted he had consensual sex with the woman who has accused him of forcing himself on her.
      At first he had claimed to have never met the woman in question, before backtracking at a later date and saying the pair had consensual sex.

      It was also initially reported he had put his hands down a woman’s underwear in the club’s VIP area’s toilets, but it later emerged the 23-year-old was alleging she had been the victim of rape.
      She has been given permission to testify behind-closed-doors.

      Her cousin and a female friend who were with her the night of the alleged sex attack are among the witnesses called to give evidence along with waiters in the VIP area of Sutton’s where Alves met the woman whose accusations ended with his arrest and incarceration ahead of today’s trial.
      Alves’ wife Joana Sanz will testify on behalf of the footballer following his pre-trial public apology to the model for “cheating on her” with the woman who claims he raped her.
      The footballer was ordered to stand trial last November.
      Initially, it was reported Alves had been accused of putting his hands down a woman’s underwear inside a toilet in the VIP area of Sutton nightclub before it emerged his alleged victim was saying she had been raped.
      He was sacked by Mexican side UNAM Pumas following his arrest in Barcelona at the start of last year after he flew back to the Catalan capital to attend his mother-in-law’s funeral.
      He has made repeated bail requests but they have all been turned down, with judges saying his alleged victim’s version of events was coherent and pointing out Alves had changed his story several times as the evidence authorities have against him has emerged.
      Alves claimed before his arrest he had never met his female accuser but ended up backtracking after being held.
      In an exclusive interview from his cell in Brians 2 Prison near Barcelona last June with Spanish TV and newspaper reporter Mayka Navarro, he claimed: “The only person I have to ask for forgiveness is my wife, Joana Sanz.”
      As well as two spells at Barcelona, Alves has played for Seville, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Sao Paulo.
      He is widely considered one of the greatest full-backs of all time.

      Barton said women commentating on men’s football was the same as him “talking about knitting or netball” – and called those who disagreed with him “eunuchs” and “fart parcels”.
      He then defended his comments on Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV last night- and said England and Arsenal footballer Alex Scott is not qualified enough to speak on men’s football.
      Last night Scott spoke out on Twitter while sharing an article which sees her speak about her charity work.
      She wrote: “Only thing I want to give oxygen to today on this platform & raise my voice to right now is this article below and how I’m so honoured to have spent the day yesterday with Refuge Charity who continue to do such incredible vital work for women & children.”

      It comes after she laughed off Barton’s comments in an Instagram story.
      During her footy career Scott won eight league titles, three WSL Cups and seven FA Cups.
      Scott also won the Champions League once, and two Community Shields.
      But last night when quizzed about her commentating Barton said: “She hasn’t played in it”.

      The controversial star’s comments have received a huge backlash after the former Bristol Rovers boss said he does not think women pundits should be allowed to comment on the men’s game.
      Barton tweeted: “Women shouldn’t be talking with any kind of authority in the men’s game. Come on. Let’s be serious.
      “It’s a completely different game. If you don’t accept that. We will always see things differently.
      “The women’s game is thriving. Fantastic to see.
      “I cannot take a thing they say serious in the men’s arena.”
      TNT Sports presenter Laura Woods slammed Barton’s comments in a Twitter post.
      She said: “Usually avoid these conversations as I don’t like adding more oxygen.
      “But throwing young vloggers to the wolves is wrong.
      “I started my career vlogging and I’ve always got on with Joey. He also sent me a lovely good luck message for TNT in June.

      Barton, 41, tonight defended his comments on Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV.
      However, he was then slammed by Bianca Westwood.
      She said: “Who is qualified to speak on football then? I’ve been watching football for 40 years, my first game at West Ham was before Joey was even born.

      “I’ve been watching hours and hours of football. I worked behind the scenes at Sky for 10 years before I was even given a shot on camera, watching my male colleagues who maybe weren’t as good as I was, getting chances I was never given.
      “I don’t really understand what we need to know, how long we need to work behind the scenes before we are allowed on camera. To be a pundit, the laws are the same. Emma Hayes and Sarina Wiegman can both read the game, are you saying they can’t offer an insight?
      “Sounds like to me that Joey has a problem with particular pundits who haven’t done enough in the game, but how does he know? And how do we quantify that? There’s EFL players who are commentating, co-commentating on Champions League games. So what level – as far as Joey Barton is concerned – do you have to get before you can be an expert on the ‘men’s game’?”
      Barton replied: “I take everything on board. I’ve known Bianca, being around the game for as long as she has and she works very hard and does a fantastic job.

      The commotion started just as David Silva was picking out Switzerland as the final team in Group A.
      And the former Manchester City star did not know where to look as the erotic-style noises could clearly be heard echoing around the Hamburg arena.
      Presenters, including stunning Esther Sedlaczek, did their best to carry on through the disruption, with Uefa bigwig Giorgio Marchetti acknowledging: “We have some noises.”
      However, Rangers and Denmark icon Brian Laudrup struggled to keep a straight face on stage as the draw continued.
      While Germany team boss Julian Nagelsmann seemed to be trying to suppress a giggle when the camera panned to him.
      It soon emerged that the stunt was pulled off by infamous British prankster ‘Jarvo’.
      He previously hit the headlines in January last year when he played an identical prank on Gary Lineker on BBC1’s live coverage of Wolves vs Liverpool in the FA Cup.

      A second said: “Jarvo is such a menace lmao.”
      A third said: “Wtf was that noise during Euro 2024 draw.”
      Another said: “Naah this man is unstoppable.”
      However, some fans were not happy with the antics and slammed “Jarvo” for the act.
      One fan said: “Grow up you imbecile.”
      Another said: “Ruining big occasions aint funny.”
      One simply wrote: “What a loser.”
      The draw itself saw England land a group against Denmark, Slovenia and Serbia.

      But another alleged affair came to light when blogger Fernanda Campos claimed she’d slept with the footballer in June. 
      According to Grazia, she told the newspaper Metrópoles that she started talking to Neymar in November 2022 and they were together on the night before Brazilian Valentine’s Day, celebrated on June 12.

      In September, video footage showed Neymar partying with two different women in a Spanish nightclub and he was accused of cheating again.

      It’s not the only alleged ‘sex contract’ linked to Neymar.
      In 2014, sensational claims emerged about his £79million transfer from Santos FC to Barcelona. 
      The Brazilian club’s former president, Luis Álvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro, told ESPN that Neymar’s father and agent, Neymar Sr, green-lit the deal after controversial demands were met. 
      They allegedly included an orgy in a London hotel, described as “one of the most luxurious” and “where the Queen had tea”.
      Ribiero, who branded Neymar Sr a “lying money-grabber”, also claimed he demanded free coffees and “a private jet” to see Brazil play – as well as additional flight tickets in a contract clause.
      Furious Ribiero said: “The €90m included coffees for Neymar’s father, as well as an orgy in a hotel in Piccadilly, London, because Neymar’s father was looking to claim everything. 
      “He never once paid for a coffee. I paid for the 200 coffees he had with me. That included prostitutes and a plane to take him to Florianopolis to see the national team.” 
      He also added: “To give you an idea, in the last contracts he demanded a clause stating the club had to pay for first-class flight tickets for him and two business-class seats for his advisors to watch Neymar play away from home. It didn’t matter whether it was for the national team or in the domestic league.”
      There was no suggestion Neymar Jr was involved in the alleged contract activities.

      Before dating Bruna, Neymar enjoyed flings with a bevy of stunning models.
      Social media influencer Carolina Dantas, who shares a son with the star, is considered his first love. 
      They dated between 2010 and 2011 while he was a rising star at Santos FC but their romance only lasted a year. 
      Shortly after the split he moved on to Playboy cover model Barbara Evans, who later became famous in Brazil after appearing on several reality TV shows. 
      Their romance lasted just a month or two before they parted ways, and later, he was linked to another Playboy model, Patricia Jordane. 
      In 2013 she appeared to confirm their relationship on a magazine front cover titled: “The brunette that enchanted Neymar.”
      However, Neymar denied they were an item and took the publication to court for defamation and use of his name.
      ‘Golden couple’ romance

      Neymar and model Bruna Marquezine were considered a ‘golden couple’ in the Brazilian press but their relationship was plagued by turmoil. 
      The couple dated off and off between 2012 and 2017 after meeting at the Rio Carnival – but rumours of affairs caused tension.
      Social media star Laryssa Oliveira claimed she had a romantic liaison with the footballer in 2013, telling UOL Celebridades they “hooked up a couple of times” in 2010 but also while he was dating Bruna.
      She claimed the footballer flew her out for a three-day fling days before he split from Bruna.
      Neymar denied all of the claims and filed a lawsuit against Laryssa.
      Bruna also rejected claims that alleged infidelity ended their romance, insisting the relationship had simply run its course. 
      Ibiza ‘lovers’

      During the gaps between Neymar’s on-off relationship with Bruna, he was linked to several other glamorous women. 
      Ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, he was said to be dating model Gabriella Lenzi and the star shared photos of them both online. 
      They were last seen together in Ibiza after Neymar’s national team exited the competition after losing to Germany.
      Later that year he was pictured with yet another Playboy beauty, Soraja Vucelic, who he also met in Ibiza.
      The model had been named Playmate of the Year by the brand’s Serbian publication in 2011.
      During their fling, Soraja was reportedly flown by private jet to see him in Spain while Neymar played for Barcelona. 
      ‘Ken and Barbie of football’

      By 2015 the footballer had moved on to Jhenny Andrade, who worked as a UFC Octagon ring girl. 
      She captioned a photo of them together at a New Year’s Eve bash: “Barbie and Ken beautiful” – eventually they were branded the ‘Barbie and Ken of football’.
      The model and TV presenter was later seen at two of his football matches wearing a signed Neymar shirt and also at a dinner with pals.
      The romance appeared to fizzle out and Neymar was later linked to supermodel Caroline Caputo in 2017 – but the pair never confirmed they were in a relationship.
      Subtle dig

      During their time together she wrote a gushing post that read: “Everyone knows how extraordinarily talented you are. But if they could only see how real and beautiful you are inside you[r] heart. You have all my respect and honor babe [sic].”
      After the split, Natalia described having a “rollercoaster” year and later appeared to take a subtle dig at the then-PSG star.
      She claimed to know “exactly what I want and do not want for my life” which many interpreted as being targeted at her ex.

      His most recent split from Bruna Biancardi followed screenshots of X-rated messages between Neymar and adult star Aline being shared.
      In one message he reportedly wrote: “Are there nudes? Where? I want to see?” 
      Aline sent him a link and cheekily replied asking him: “Tell me what you thought afterwards, huh.”
      Other messages appeared to show her instructing Neymar on how to access the photos. 
      In one, she wrote: “You have to sign, baby. There are some other photos at the bottom. I’m going to sleep, take care, angel. Good night. I’ll teach you better later if you can’t [sign in].”
      Neymar allegedly signed off their exchange with a flame emoji. 
      The star, who has denied all wrongdoing, said on Instagram: “Show the date… that was years ago.”
