    Liverpool star Roberto Firmino wanted by Roma in free transfer as Jose Mourinho looks to raid Reds for striker

    LIVERPOOL forward Roberto Firmino is reportedly receiving interest from Jose Mourinho’s Roma.The Brazilian, 31, will become a free agent in the summer after it was confirmed he will not renew his contract at the end of the season.

    It brings to an end an eight-year spell at Anfield where he has contributed 109 goals and 79 assists in 359 appearances.
    But it has not yet been confirmed where he will be playing his football come the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
    According to journalist Nicolo Schira, Roma are keen on the South American forward.
    Mourinho’s men are set to qualify for the Champions League as they sit third in the Serie A table.

    Roma are also still in with a chance of winning the Europa League, despite a 1-0 defeat to Feyenoord in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
    But the Italian giants will need to pull out all the stops if they are to secure Firmino’s signature.
    He has been linked with Napoli, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and AC Milan.
    And earlier this week it was reported that Real Madrid are set to make a shock swoop for the former Hoffenheim man.

    Firmino is best known for forming part of Liverpool’s deadly front trio alongside Mo Salah and Sadio Mane.

    Firmino’s agent Roger Wittmann confirmed last month that the Brazil international will depart Merseyside in the summer.

    The only snag in the plan is if any of his teams meet in Europe in future.

    It comes as Marinakis publicly backs promotion-winning manager Steve Cooper in a tight relegation fight.

    Third-bottom Forest will move out of the drop zone if they avoid home defeat against Manchester United on Sunday.
    But Marinakis is said to have sounded out ex-Sevilla and Argentina boss Jorge Sampaoli.

    According to CalcioMercato, the Serie A giants have met with CAA Stellar, which is the agency that represents the right-back.
    The company has a clientele that also includes other Roma transfer targets, such as Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat and Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
    During that meeting between the two parties, Justin’s name arose as a potential prospect.
    And Mourinho was very impressed with the England international last season when Leicester and Roma met in the Europa Conference League.

    The Portuguese tactician watched the 25-year-old in action during the semi-finals, which saw the Special One’s players knock the Premier League outfit out.
    And Roma are keen to make a move, despite the defender’s recent injury woes.
    The Romans are hoping they can agree a cut-price deal with Leicester due to Justin’s fitness struggles and club’s potential relegation.
    That is why Roma are planning a €20million (£17.8m) bid for the ex-Luton star.

    Allegri was attempting to manage the final minutes of the game and turned to his subs bench – only to find one star was completely unprepared.
    Parades did not have a shirt with him when the Italian boss attempted to make the switch.
    One report suggests he had given it away to a fan in expectation that he would be left on the bench.

    The 28-year-old, on loan from PSG, had to jog back to the dressing room to retrieve the right kit.
    But footage shows his manager absolutely raging on the touchline.
    Allegri can be seen shouting and gesturing wildly before re-taking his position in the dugout.
    Paredes did manage to get on and replaced Manuel Locatelli with five minutes to go in a double switch that also saw Paul Pogba come on for Angel Di Maria.

    Ibrahimovic posted a clip online fending off would-be attackers with a shield and sword.
    The striking sensation fights off his rivals with Kung fu strikes and some unlikely swordsmanship.
    ESPN captioned the video: “Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ready to star in an action movie.”

    Ibrahimovic is a known martial arts fan and even has a black belt in taekwondo.
    And he is also set to make his movie debut this year, with a cameo role in upcoming French film Asterix & Obelix: The Middle Kingdom.
    The forward re-joined Milan in 2020 from LA Galaxy, and last year helped them win Serie A.
    But he has managed only four appearances this season – scoring once – amid a series of injuries.

    AC MILAN and Napoli’s match was delayed after Rafael Leao smashed the corner flag to bits – and fans were left wondering what it was made of.The two Italian giants collided tonight in the first-leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

    However, during the early stages of the contest at the San Siro, play was briefly halted after the Milan forward’s attack on the flag.
    The 23-year-old Portuguese star had almost put Milan ahead but he fired his shot narrowly wide.
    Moments later he took out his frustrations by lashing out and kicking the corner flag.
    Unbelievably, Leao’s punt caused it to explode into pieces.

    Almost instantly viewers expressed their shock at how fragile it was – especially seen as though he did not seem to strike it with that much power.
    One tweeted: “Is the Milan corner flag made of wet paper?”

    Bournemouth star confirms free transfer to Serie A club a day after being ‘banished from first team training’

    JORDAN ZEMURA has agreed to join Udinese this summer on a free transfer from Bournemouth.The Zimbabwe international, 23, will move after his Cherries contract expires in June.

    He will replace wing-back Destiny Udogie, who will return to Tottenham following the end of his season-long loan.
    Whizkid Udogie, 20, was signed by Spurs last summer for around £16million from Udinese before being farmed back to the Serie A club for the campaign.
    Left-back Zemura was born and raised in London, playing for Charlton and Queens Park Rangers’ academies before joining the Cherries in 2019.
    He has racked up 59 appearances for the south coast side, including 22 this season.

    But with his deal up this summer, Udinese swooped in to sign him.
    It was reported earlier this week that Zemura was sent to train with the development squad for the rest of the campaign amid his impending move to Italy.
    Zemura has signed a four-year deal at Udinese.
