Man Utd and Man City on red alert as Napoli president admits Koulibaly may be up for transfer after Osimhen signing

NAPOLI president Aurelio De Laurentiis has opened the door to selling Kalidou Koulibaly.
The centre-back has attracted attention from a host of major clubs, but they have all been told he is not for sale in the past.

    1

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has opened the door to selling in-demand centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly
But now, it appears Napoli are resigned to losing Koulibaly as long as their price tag is met.
They value him at £80million, a fee they have so far not been offered by anyone.
De Laurentiis told Sky Italia: “Kalidou is a great person, I would be terribly sad to lose him.
“But there is a time for everything, even to move apart.

“But the €90m is not on the table and so it takes two to make a deal.”
Napoli also secured a club record £74m signing for Lille striker Victor Osimhen and will look to recoup their funds.
Koulibaly has been a long-time Manchester United target as they eye a partner for club record signing Harry Maguire.
But according to Goal, local rivals City want to take on United in the pursuit for the 29-year-old.

Last season’s Premier League champions are close to signing Bournemouth centre-back Nathan Ake, having had a £41million bid accepted.
But having lost skipper Vincent Kompany last summer, they paid the price for not replacing him.
It has led to City targeting centre-backs as they enter the transfer window looking to set up a title winning campaign.

Serie A club SPAL find severed pig’s HEAD outside training ground amid protest after relegation

A SEVERED pig’s HEAD was left outside Italian side SPAL’s training ground by fans furious at their relegation from Serie A.
A group of ultras pulled the grim move after their team dropped out of Italy’s top flight after three seasons.

    1

Ultra fans of Italian club SPAL left a severed pig’s head outside their training ground after they were relegated from Serie A
SPAL finished bottom of Serie A after their ham-fisted attempts to stay up fell short.
Hardcore fans of the Ferrara-based club attacked their GB Fabbri training centre earlier this week.
They left the grisly pig’s head at the main entrance, and also draped a banner reading: “Pigs Of Ferrara Out.”
Valentina Ferozzi, the president of SPAL’s training centre. said: “You can protest, but there are things you can and can’t do.

“I don’t know who it was who hung the banner on the training ground.
“But to use a poor pig’s decapitated head is in truly bad taste. It certainly does our fanbase no credit.
“They deserve better for the way they have always behaved.”
The gruesome gesture evoked memories of Portuguese legend Luis Figo.

Barcelona fans flung a pig’s head at their former idol in 2002 when he played for Real Madrid at the Nou Camp.
Luigi Di Biagio’s SPAL saw their three-year spell in Italy’s top flight come to an end following Wednesday’s 3-0 loss at Hellas Verona.
Their threadbare squad included French midfielder Bryan Dabo, who had a loan spell with Blackburn in 2014 without making a first-team appearance.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s £540k-a-week wages causing ‘discord’ at Juventus as he makes almost FOUR TIMES next highest earner

JUVENTUS stars are reportedly raising eyebrows at the incredible gulf in wages between Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of the squad.
With the coronavirus pandemic biting football hard, the sustainability of club finances have come into a stronger light.

    2

Having won Serie A, Juventus’ stranglehold on Italian football remains but the club is without a Champions League trophy in 24 years.
In their pursuit of the esteemed silverware, the Old Lady forked over a huge amount to sign Ronaldo with a £105million transfer fee and £540,000-a-week in wages.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Marca, that has caused discord in the dressing room.
The next highest-earner at Allianz Stadium takes home almost four times less, with Matthijs de Ligt paid £138,000-a-week.

Veteran players Gonzalo Higuain and Miralem Pjanic both earn £130,000-a-week, ahead of £127,000-a-week striker Paulo Dybala.
Juve are set for a realignment of sorts this summer with Pjanic heading to Barcelona, effectively swapping him for Arthur Melo.

And the Brazilian will reportedly earn a slimmed down £60,000-a-week wage when he finally moves to Turin.
Previous signings have been handed considerably bigger deals, such as free transfer duo Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey, on £121,000-a-week each according to Italian media.

Any discontent with Ronaldo may be dissipating off the back of Juve’s latest Scudetto victory, coming off the back of 31 goals in 33 games for the Portuguese superstar.
And he may even be gifted a pay rise if he can lead the Bianconeri to a stunning Champions League win in August, with the side currently 1-0 down to Lyon halfway through their last-16 tie.

Napoli want Champions League clash with Barcelona moved to Portugal after Catalonia coronavirus case spike

NAPOLI president Aurelio De Laurentiis wants his team’s Champions League game against Barcelona moved to Portugal because of a coronavirus spike in Catalonia.
The teams are set to play their last-16 second leg tie at the Nou Camp on August 8 but the Napoli big-wig wants a change of plan.

    2

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurenttis has called for his side’s game with Barcelona to be moved to Portugal
The first leg was a 1-1 draw in Naples in February.
But the second leg which was originally scheduled for March 18 was postponed because of coronavirus.
And now the pandemic is causing problems again with a recent spike in the number of daily confirmed cases in Catalonia.
The Champions League quarter-finals are already set to take place in Portugal and De Laurentiis wants to know why those plans don’t apply to the last-16.

He said: “I hear a lot of perplexity and fear coming from Spain and they’re acting like nothing is wrong.
“What does it take to say, ‘Don’t go to Barcelona but rather go to Portugal, Germany or Geneva?

“If they’ve decided to play the Champions League in Portugal and the Europa League in Germany, I think we can go to Portugal or Germany for the round of 16.
“I don’t understand why it should stay in a city that has a really critical situation.”

The winner of the tie will face Bayern Munich or Chelsea on the quarter-final with the Blues 3-0 down from the first leg.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic hints at AC Milan stay as legend models next season’s new home kit amid Leeds transfer interest

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC appears likely to pen a new one-year contract extension at AC Milan, after appearing in their kit launch for next season.
The Swede signed a short-term contract at San Siro back in January, returning to his former side until the end of the season.

    2

Ibrahimovic appears in AC Milan’s promo for next season’s home strip
But it looks like Ibrahimovic, 38, will be sticking around a while longer yet – having modelled next season’s new home strip.
The ex-Manchester United striker can briefly be seen smiling and staring into the camera during the glossy Puma production.
He also appears to feature at the end, as a tall, imposing looking figure, obstructed by the lighting – stretches his arms out in a jubilant, dominant stance.
Ibrahimovic left Man United for LA Galaxy back in 2018, going on to score 53 goals in 58 games for the MLS side.

He then returned to AC Milan, with his appearance coinciding with an upturn in Stefano Pioli’s side’s fortunes.
Ibra bagged eight goals in 18 games upon his return, as well as laying on four assists for his team-mates.
And now the seemingly age-defying 6ft 5in hitman looks likely to stay, in what will be a blow to any Leeds United fans that still harboured faint hopes of signing him this summer.
The Yorkshire club’s owner Andrea Radrizzani had revealed that he tried to sign Ibrahimovic back in January.

Ibrahimovic’s potential renewal appears a U-turn from what he said just one week ago.
The PSG legend had hold Sky Sports Italia: “I still have three games, still ten days, nobody said anything to me and I don’t expect anything else.
“There are things that we cannot control, but that seems strange to me, but we are doing great things.

    2

A mystery figure resembling Zlatan’s build also appears at the end of the clip

“We play with great confidence and we believe in what we do.
“I’m working, I’m fine, the team is fine and doing good things.
“When I arrived we are second or third in the standings, it means it is not bad.”

Ex-Chelsea ace Jeremie Boga wanted by Everton in £35m transfer… two-years after leaving Blues for £3.5m to Sassuolo

FORMER Chelsea ace Jeremie Boga is reportedly wanted by Everton in a £35million deal just two years after leaving the Blues for £3.5m.
The Ivory Coast international left Stamford Bridge to join Italian side Sassuolo in 2018.

Sky Sports report Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti is keen on bringing the 23-year-old to Goodison Park.
The 61-year-old manager was interested in bringing the winger to Napoli during his time in charge of the club.
But now faces competition from his old employers, with Gennaro Gattuso’s side still in the frame to snap up the former Blues star.
Boga will not come cheap with Serie A outfit Sassuolo expecting a transfer fee of over £35m.

The French-born star has bagged 11 goals and four assists in 34 Serie A appearances so far this season.
The Chelsea academy product’s form has perked the interest of a number of Europe’s top clubs.

But a return to West London is off the cards after the Blues’ buy-back clause was CANCELLED.
Frank Lampard’s side would have had the option to re-sign their former charge for a cut-price £13m before both sides agreed to scrap the agreement.

German clubs Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have both declared an interest in the player.
Leverkusen could be sounding out Boga as a potential replacement for Kai Havertz who continues to be heavily linked with a move to Chelsea.
It would not be the first time Chelsea have offloaded players on the cheap, only to see other clubs cash in on big-money future deals.
Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku was sold to Everton for £28m in 2014 before Manchester United paid the Merseysiders £75m for his services three years later.
Premier League superstar Kevin De Bruyne was infamously hurried out of Stamford Bridge by Jose Mourinho for £18m in January 2014.

New club Wolfsburg then made a hefty profit on the talismanic midfielder by selling him 18 months later to Man City for £54m where his value has rocketed.
Newly-crowned Premier League champ Mo Salah also played for the Blues before being sold to Roma for around £12m in 2016.
He joined Liverpool a year later for £36m, going on to lift the Champions League with the Reds.

Barcelona take legal action against rebel Arthur after he refuses to play for club and demands contract be ripped up

BARCELONA are reportedly instructing their lawyers to take legal action against AWOL midfielder Arthur Melo.
The Brazilian’s two-year spell in Spain is coming to an end after he was sold to Juventus.

However, the deal does not go through until the end of the season – with Miralem Pjanic heading the other way in the £70million swap.
Reportedly unhappy at being forced out of the club, Arthur has refused to return to training ahead of next month’s Champions League campaign.
Following the culmination of the LaLiga season, the 23-year-old went on holiday to Ibiza before an under-the-radar trip to Brazil.
Barcelona’s attempts to locate the player ended in him vowing to never appear for the team again.

And he did not show up for either Monday’s coronavirus test or the resumption of training on Tuesday.
According to Marca, that has prompted the Blaugrana to take disciplinary action.

Barcelona star Arthur ‘pulls a Gareth Bale’ as he yawns and looks bored on bench during Osasuna loss
Arthur is said to want his contract terminated to allow him an early switch to Juventus, with the deal officially going through in September.
That is not an option for Barcelona, even though the midfielder would not be eligible for the Italian team until next season, and the club is described as angry that the matter could not be discussed amicably.

Quique Setien’s side face Napoli for the second leg of their last-16 tie on August 8, with the aggregate score at 1-1, and the winner will progress to the Champions League mini-tournament in Portugal.
Arthur did not appear in any of Barcelona’s last six LaLiga games as they failed to defend their title against Real Madrid – even appearing to fall asleep in the stands during a defeat to Osasuna. More
