Inter Milan offer Tottenham struggler Tanguy Ndombele escape route as they plot transfer

INTER MILAN are considering a shock move for struggling Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to reports.
Spurs’ record £65million signing has disappointed since his arrival in North London last summer but he is reportedly on Inter’s list of desired stars.

    1

Inter Milan are considering a move for Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele
Inter are in the market for a midfielder and have recently been linked with Brescia star Sandro Tonali and Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal.
But they cooled their interest in Tonali as Vidal and Ndombele are ahead of him on their priority list, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Vidal is reportedly their No1 midfield target but they could turn to Tottenham’s 23-year-old if they fail to land the Chilean.

Inter have an excellent recent record of reviving Premier League stars’ careers.

Former Manchester United players Ashley Young, Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez have all had a renaissance since moving to the San Siro.
And Ndombele could be next having struggled to warrant his eye-watering fee since his switch from Lyon.
Form and fitness restricted Ndombele to just 12 Premier League starts last season.
And he failed to impress new boss Jose Mourinho, missing the final three matches of the season with a hamstring strain.

Barcelona were also said to be keen but Spurs would rather not let Ndombele go.
Tottenham say they have not held talks with any clubs and are willing to give Ndombele another chance to prove his worth next term.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy knows selling him would be too expensive.
The club would be unlikely to recoup all of the over-inflated fee they paid for him.

And they would also have to pay up or come up with a deal to settle the remaining five years of his six-year, £130,000-a-week contract.
Ndombele reportedly told Mourinho he would never play for him again in June.
And soon after it emerged he was “determined” to leave this summer.
Ndombele recently became the latest Premier League star to test positive for coronavirus.

Man Utd transfer blow with ‘next Pirlo’ Sandro Tonali in ‘advanced talks’ with AC Milan

MANCHESTER UNITED target Sandro Tonali is reportedly in advanced talks with AC Milan in a huge blow to the Red Devils.
United have been heavily linked with the Brescia midfielder, who has been dubbed the “new Andrea Pirlo”.

    1

AC Milan are in advanced talks with Man Utd target Sandro Tonali
But they look set to be beaten to his signature by Serie A giants AC Milan.
The San Siro side have submitted a loan to buy bid with an £8.9million fee and a £17.8m purchase option, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
They are also said to have included a percentage of any future sell-on fee and are now in “advanced talks” with the player.
Inter Milan were previously linked with the 20-year-old.

But they have reportedly cooled their interest with Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal and Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele ahead of them in their priority list.
United were said to have made an approach for the £31m rated Tonali earlier this week.
However, Tonali’s agent is believed to be advising him to stay in Serie A, which would make Milan’s approach more appealing.
It also emerged yesterday Brescia owner – and former Leeds chairman Massimo Cellino said the future star was headed to the Rossoneri.

Tonali has been compared to Italian midfield legend Pirlo, but new Juventus boss – the actual Pirlo – believes the youngster could surpass him.
He said earlier this year: “It’s said that he may be my heir, but I don’t see many things in common.

“He is another type of player. He is much more complete both in the defensive phase and when he sets up.
“He is a mix between my characteristics and those of other players.
“He is the most promising of midfielders. He will surely become a great player.”

Inter Milan reopen Arturo Vidal transfer talks as Conte eyes reunion with Barcelona star

INTER MILAN have reopened transfer negotiations to sign Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal.
The 33-year-old’s Barcelona future appears on the rocks with the Spaniards plotting for a major overhaul under new boss Ronald Koeman.

    1

Antonio Conte wants to sign Arturo Vidal

According to Fabrizio Romano, Antonio Conte – who managed Vidal for three seasons during their time at Juventus – wants a Serie A reunion with the Chilean.
The former Bayern Munich man played 33 times in all competitions, but mostly off the bench.
PSG have also registered an interest in Vidal, who for the first time since 2011 missed out on a league title.
Luis Suarez, 33, has also been told he is free to leave the Nou Camp – which sparked a furious reaction from inseparable friend Lionel Messi.

The 33-year-old then stunned Barca bosses by handing in a transfer request.
Inter – who are owned by Chinese chairman Steven Zhang, son of billionaire Zhang Jindong – have been linked with Messi.
The Italian giants seem keen to break the bank this summer, with Nou Camp pair Messi and Vidal emerging as priority targets.
It comes after manager Conte survived showdown talks with the Inter board after his first season with the club.

His old club Juve pipped him by a point to clinch their ninth consecutive title.
Conte’s misery then extended after Seville beat them 3-2 in the Europa League final.
The former Chelsea boss held clear-the-air talks with club president Steven Zhang, and will manager the San Siro side next season.

Begovic, 33, only made two appearances in Milan, but it is understood they want the Bosnian back as their No2.
According to The Telegraph, the Serie A giants and Bournemouth have started talks over a deal for the keeper.
With the Cherries returning to the Championship, they could demand a fee for Begovic.
It would also allow them to ease the their wage bill.

It comes as Milan close in on a deal to extend Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s San Siro stay.
The Swedish striker re-joined the Serie A side midway through the 2019/20 season, where he scored 11 goals in 20 games.
Ibrahimovic and Milan have been locked in contract negotiations for weeks,  with his agent Mino Raiola stating he is “optimistic” a deal could be reached.

He told Sky Sports Italia: “He won’t be there tomorrow, for the moment.

“We are still talking, but there is no agreement yet. It’s not about money, but of conviction and style.
“It takes two to make a marriage work and if Ibrahimovic didn’t want to remain with the Rossoneri, then there wouldn’t be a negotiation.”

Lionel Messi’s former agent tips him to join Inter and renew Cristiano Ronaldo rivalry in transfer blow to Man City

LIONEL MESSI will renew his rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo by joining Inter Milan this summer, according to his former agent.
The Argentine stunned the football world yesterday by confirming his intention to leave Barcelona this summer.

    2

And while Premier League trio Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea have all been linked with the 33-year-old, he has been tipped by some to join Inter Milan.
His former agent Josep Maria Minguella is among those backing Messi to head to Serie A – resuming his rivalry with former Real Madrid foe Ronaldo in the process.
The 79-year-old told Spanish radio station Cope: “For me, Messi already has a team: Inter.
“In Italy they pay less taxes for what could be, in fact, there is Cristiano Ronaldo.

“It is more difficult for me to see him in England no matter how much his friend Aguero and Guardiola are in City.
“Now in Italy they are trying to revitalise the world of football with great signings and with these advantages in the advertising contracts of the footballers.”
Messi has been unhappy all season at Barcelona, after seeing the board fail to re-sign Neymar, as well as going against his wishes by signing Antoine Griezmann and sacking Ernesto Valverde.
The final straw, however, was their treatment of team-mate and pal Luis Suarez, after new boss Ronald Koeman told the Uruguayan in a two-minute conversation that he would not be part of his plans.

Messi’s team argue that a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave this summer for free should not have expired in June because of the extended season due to the Covid pandemic.
Otherwise, his buyout clause is around the £630m mark.
According to El Pais, however, Fifa will not stand in their way if they hit the eject button.

The Spanish newspaper claim to have been told by sources inside football’s governing body that it has no precedent to prevent Messi from leaving.
In the last 15 years, there have been no interventions from Fifa or the Court of Arbitration for Sport on cases that would apply to dealing with this latest saga.
As a result, Messi would only have to apply to Fifa’s Transfer Matching System to fill out the relevant documentation and complete a move.

Five clubs Lionel Messi could join including Man Utd, City and Chelsea after handing in Barcelona transfer request

LIONEL MESSI is on the verge of quitting Barcelona after requesting to leave his boyhood club.
The 33-year-old Nou Camp legend demanded Barca exercise a clause in his contract that would allow him to quit for nothing with immediate effect.

But the Spanish giants believe the stipulation expired expired on June 10, with the Argentine superstar under contract until the summer of 2021.
Club and player seem set for a legal battle over the clause, with Barcelona believing his €700m (£629m) buy-out clause is still valid.
And with wages totalling £1.15m per week – it leaves very few teams capable of facilitating a move for Messi – here SunSport list five possible options.
    MANCHESTER CITY
Since Pep Guardiola – who managed Messi for four seasons – took over at the Etihad in 2016, he has spent £700m on transfers.

It indicates they have the backing to pull off a mega-money transfer for Messi, despite escaping a Financial Fair Play penalty this year.
Acccording to Radio Catalunya, Messi has already spoken to Guardiola about a move to Manchester.
And having grown frustrated throughout last season, reuniting with a familiar face could convince the forward to choose City.

    PSG
The French champions, like City, seem to have no limits when it comes to the transfer market.
Having already broke the record when they signed Neymar for £198m from Barca three years ago, PSG are not afraid to role the dice and break the bank.
It has been claimed Messi is open to linking up with strike partner Neymar again, with the Ligue 1 kings desperate to win the Champions League.
But Messi’s £64m-a-year basic wages could prove to be a problem even for PSG, who pay £33m to Neymar and £19m to Kylian Mbappe every season.

It has been claimed Messi is open to linking up with strike partner Neymar again
    MANCHESTER UNITED
United have reportedly not wasted any time in making contact with Messi’s representatives regarding a transfer.
That is despite the fact they have so far failed to stump up the cash for Jadon Sancho – who Borussia Dortmund value at £108m.
Messi is also said to prefer a move to Manchester rivals City or PSG over United.
But SPORT, say Old Trafford bosses are confident they have the funds to pursue the sensation move.

    4

    CHELSEA
The Blues looked disinterested in tempting Messi to London – until Rio Ferdinand tweeted news that Frank Lampard was in for the Argentine.
Chelsea last season completed deals for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner and have carried over the spending to this season.
They are close to wrapping up transfers for Kai Havertz, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell – while also testing the market for a keeper.
Making a swoop for Messi at this time seems unlikely, even if they do raise funds from money made by flogging unwanted flops.

    INTER MILAN
Throughout Messi’s Barca turmoil this year, Serie A giants Inter Milan are understood to have been monitoring the situation
Their former owner Massimo Moratti even revealed the club will plan to prize the six-time Ballon d’Or winner to Italy.
Inter have the backing of Chinese chairman Steven Zhang, son of billionaire Zhang Jindong.
Messi’s dad is also believed to have a home in Milan, fuelling speculation his son could be plotting a switch to the San Siro.

Ex-Man Utd ace Lukaku is Serie A’s most valuable player but Cristiano Ronaldo just joint-seventh as top ten revealed

ROMELU LUKAKU is Serie A’s most valuable player – but Cristiano Ronaldo must settle for joint-seventh.
The Italian top flight’s top ten players has been revealed in terms of their current market value.

And while it makes pretty reading for the Inter Milan striker, his fellow former Manchester United man is snubbed much further down.
According to Transfermarkt, Lukaku is valued at £76.5million – £3.5m more than the San Siro side paid the Red Devils for him a year ago.
The Belgian striker, 27, scored a stunning 34 goals in his debut season as Antonio Conte’s men narrowly missed out on both the Serie A title and the Europa League.
Ronaldo, 35, is rated at £54m, tying him with Inter Milan pair Christian Eriksen and Stefan de Vrij as well as AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The quartet fill up seventh to tenth in the list.
Ronaldo’s Juventus team-mates take up two of the remaining five spots with Paulo Dybala and Matthijs de Ligt second and joint-third respectively.
Dybala continues to be linked with a move away from the Allianz Stadium as Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona and Real Madrid all considering swoops.
    BEST OF THE REST
But according to the data, he is worth a staggering £72m, £9m more than Dutch defender De Ligt, who signed from Ajax for marginally more than his £63m valuation.

De Ligt’s price tag is matched by Inter forward Lautaro Martinez, another player tipped for a move with Barcelona interested.

However, Pep Guardiola has moved into pole position to sign the Argentine for £81m as a long-term replacement for compatriot Sergio Aguero.
Napoli centre-back Kalidou Kouliably – also linked with a summer switch to the Etihad – and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are tied as the joint-fifth most valuable players in Italy.
They are worth an estimated £58.5m each, slightly less than the figure City are reportedly offering Napoli for the Senegal international.
