Barcelona legend Xavi would manage five Premier League teams, including Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea

BARCELONA legend Xavi has left only Liverpool off a list of Premier League giants he would like to manage.
And the Spanish World Cup winner, boss of Qatari side Al Sadd after retiring as a player in 2019, rates Manchester City chief Pep Guardiola as the world’s “best coach”.

Xavi, 40, dreams of managing old club Barca but hailed the Prem’s “atmosphere, packed stadiums” and players as an exciting alternative.
The ex-midfielder told Sky Sports: “Obviously if I had to choose, I would choose a big team, City or United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham.
“Also, [Jurgen] Klopp and [Mauricio] Pochettino and Unai Emery, many people who have gone there are doing an extraordinary job.”
The 133-cap icon said of his former Nou Camp chief: “Pep Guardiola is the best coach in the world and I am a novice.

    ‘PASSIONATE, OBSESSIVE’
“The comparison happened as a player but now we can’t be compared. I am in love with Pep Guardiola’s football.
“You can win playing football in different ways but I like the one of City and Guardiola the most. I follow the Premier League a lot and I like it.
“He is a brilliant, demanding, passionate, obsessive person, that’s why he’s doing so well.
“It transmits a lot to the footballer. I learned a lot and enjoyed my time at his side.”

Xavi won four Champions League titles and La Liga eight times with Barca.

And he readily admits the Spanish giants would be his first choice once he has served his managerial apprenticeship.
He said: “I don’t hide it, my goal is to return to Europe and return to Barca.
“It is my challenge ahead, but I’m still learning in this project and I’m also enjoying it.”

Cristiano Ronaldo wants Man Utd transfer target Raul Jimenez to snub Old Trafford move and join him at Juventus

CRISTIANO RONALDO wants Manchester United target Raul Jimenez to join him at Juventus, according to reports.
The Wolves striker proved his potential after scoring 27 times across all competitions during the 2019/20 campaign.

    1

Raul Jimenez has emerged as a target for Juventus
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo has called for his club to make a move for Jimenez.
Juventus are on a mission to sign a new strike partner for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
And reports have heavily linked the Serie A giants to the 29-year-old Wolves forward.
Jimenez looks likely to leave Wolves after Nuno Espirito Santo’s side crashed out of the Europa League.

The Premier League club have reportedly set a price of £60million for the Mexican star.
He has been a huge hit for the club since arriving on loan from Benfica in 2018 before his move was made permanent for £30m last summer.
Ronaldo is keen for Jimenez to snub United’s interest to join him in Italy.

The Portuguese star had been tipped to leave the Turin club after a disappointing end to the season.

He had reportedly been offered a shock move to Spanish giants Barcelona.
But Spanish outlet AS quote one of his representatives who slammed the claims as “completely false”.

Cristiano Ronaldo goes diving on holiday as his camp slam ‘completely false’ rumours of transfer away from Juventus

CRISTIANO RONALDO has been called a diver countless times in his career.
But rarely has the description been as accurate as it is today.

Cristiano Ronaldo posted footage of him plunging to the depths

    2

The Portuguese superstar was diving off the yacht he is on holiday on
In footage posted on his Instagram this afternoon, the Portuguese mega-star is seen plunging to the depths wearing a snorkel.
And it comes as his inner circle have slammed reports linking the 35-year-old with a move away from Juventus.
Ronnie is currently on holiday on a stunning yacht in the short off-season after Juve were dumped out the Champions League by Lyon last Friday.

And he took a dip in the sea off the luxury liner earlier today.

The footage shows Ronaldo pulling himself toward the ocean floor using a line with a gym weight attached to the end.
He eventually reaches the bottom and spins to the underwater camera and waves.
Before the iconic footballer springs off the sandy floor and swims toward the surface.
He captioned the post: “Today I woke up and I wonder: What’s happening in the sea?! Call me Neptuno. #PleaseDon’tTryThis #14meters.”

Ronaldo has been enjoying the break with his partner Georgina Rodriguez away from the drama back in Italy.

Maurizio Sarri was sacked and replaced by inexperienced club legend Andrea Pirlo.
And Ronaldo has reportedly been offered to Barcelona to link up with Ballon d’Or rival Lionel Messi.
Despite a record-breaking campaign in front of goal and another Serie A title, the Juventus superstar’s season ultimately ended in disappointment.
Defeats in the Suppercoppa Italiana and Coppa Italia final were compounded by crashing out of the Champions League.
Ronaldo has two years left on his Juve deal and was also reportedly offered the chance to conquer France alongside Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain.
But Spanish football expert Guillem Balague sensationally claimed a return to LaLiga with Barcelona is another option for Ronaldo.
However, Spanish outlet AS quote one of Ronaldo’s representative who slammed the claims as “completely false”.

The ex-Manchester United is said to be “very happy” living in Turin and has no intention of leaving Juve for any club.
Ronnie bagged 37 goals and seven assists in all competitions this season.
He scored twice in the second leg of the Lyon tie but couldn’t score the third to prevent Juve getting knocked out on away goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s most important team-mates XI has just THREE Man Utd stars after success with Real Madrid

CRISTIANO RONALDO’S top team-mates have been revealed with just THREE Manchester United stars making the cut.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has cemented a reputation as a man who can do it on his own, but even the Portuguese occasionally has to rely on support – especially from his regular colleagues.

From early days at Sporting Lisbon and Old Trafford to a decade of dominance at Real Madrid before joining Juventus, CR7 has played with the best.
But the Mirror have found out the players who have lined up alongside the 35-year-old the most, not an overall list of the most talented players.
John O’Shea has also made more appearances with Ronaldo than some of the attackers in the team, but can’t quite squeeze into this XI.
    Here’s Cristiano Ronaldo’s ultimate XI…

    Iker Casillas
The Spanish World Cup winner has made 228 appearances alongside Ronaldo during the pair’s time in Madrid as they scooped a Champions League and a LaLiga title together.
Edwin van der Sar, who was between the sticks for much of the Portugal captain’s time at United, is next up with 167 games with the forward.

    Sergio Ramos
Although he has since developed into one of the world’s best centre-back, the Madrid skipper broke through on the right side of defence in his younger days.
Ramos’ 339 appearances with Ronaldo are enough to warrant him edging out Alvaro Arbeloa’s 201 games.

    Pepe
The ex-Madrid hardman’s appearances with Ronaldo have boosted by playing alongside him at both club level and the Portugal national team.
Pepe has lined up next to his compatriot 321 times en route to a Euro 2016 win, and relegates his former teammate Raphael Varane’s score of 199.
    Rio Ferdinand
The England legend made his switch to Old Trafford a year before Ronaldo and his leadership qualities during their 221 games together would have been instrumental in CR7’s ascent to the top.
Ferdinand in particular once revealed that United’s squad used to try to wind up the Juve superstar by mentioning long-term rival Lionel Messi.

    Marcelo
Only two players in the team have gone into battle with Ronaldo more than the Brazilian left-back, who can boast a staggering 332 appearances with the striker.
Cristiano was reportedly such a fan of their chemistry together that he urged Maurizio Sarri to bring his former Madrid team-mate to Turin this summer.
    Isco
Perhaps the most surprising name in the team, the diminutive Spaniard featured in 188 games with Ronaldo during their five years at the Bernabeu together.
That earns him a spot over Paul Scholes (183) and Sami Khedira (173).
    Xabi Alonso
The former linchpin in Liverpool’s midfield in their battles against Ronaldo’s United, Alonso joined Madrid in the same 2009 summer as his Prem rival.
The World Cup winner then went on to make 208 appearances with the Portuguese in which they claimed both European and domestic glory.

    Luka Modric
The Croat has the prestigious title of the midfielder with the most appearances alongside Ronaldo at 222 games.
Incidentally, Modric was also the first player to break up his former Madrid teammates Ballon d’Or duopoly with Messi with his win in January 2019.
    Ryan Giggs
The Welsh wizard featured next to Ronaldo 204 times during their six years together at Old Trafford in which they lifted three back-to-back Premier League titles between 2006 and 2009.
Unfortunately for Cristiano, he’s beaten to a spot in Giggs’ most regular teammates by Nicky Butt!
    Wayne Rooney
The former England captain takes the last of United’s three entrants in Ronaldo’s top team-mates after 206 games together.
Ex-Madrid and Juventus frontman Gonzalo Higuain is warming the bench with his 172 appearances.

    Karim Benzema
No footballer has played more matches next to Ronaldo than the Frenchman, who can boast 342 games in their nine years together after joining in the same summer.
Benzema admitted last year that he used to do all of the Portuguese’s hard work off the ball and has since flourished in front of goal himself in his absence.

Inter Milan have ‘everything it takes’ to seal stunning Lionel Messi transfer from Barcelona, says ex-president Moratti

INTER MILAN have “everything it takes” to seal the shock signing of Lionel Messi according to the club’s former President.
The Argentina playmaker has been a long-term target for the Italian giants with their former president an admirer of the La Liga icon.

    2

Lionel Messi has been a long-term target for Inter Milan and former club president Massimo Moratti believes they can seal a shock transfer
Massimo Moratti reckons Suning Holdings, Inter’s current owners, have “everything it takes” in their power to prise Messi away from the Nou Camp.
Gossip concerning the 33-year-old’s future has refused to die down following his scathing assessment of Barca’s league performances this term.
The former LaLiga champions lost their crown to bitter rivals Real Madrid with Zinedine Zidane’s team capturing their first title in three years.
And if Messi was unhappy with Barcelona’s domestic performances then what he must have made of their 8-2 Champions League exit to Bayern Munich is anyone’s guess.

Inter, under Moratti’s stewardship, had tried and failed to capture the Barca skipper’s signature on a handful of occasions.
But the 75-year-old reckons the Nerazzuri’s wealthy Chinese owners are in a perfect position to seal a deal for six-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Moratti told Quotidiano Sportivo: “I am just a simple fan of Inter now, so I don’t have any inside information.
“Having said that, I do know this: Suning have everything it takes to bring Messi to Milan, in terms of both resources and competence.”

One Inter signing Moratti admits he was wrong to underestimate was the £76.5million signing of former Manchester United forward Romelu Lukaku.

    2

Messi, who scored 25 goals in 33 La Liga appearances this term, has slammed some of Barcelona’s performances this season
The Belgian international, whose United performances came in criticism from pundits in the past, has been in fine form for the Serie A giants in his debut season.
Lukaku, 27, has netted 31 goals across all competitions this term.
On the Belgium player’s performances Moratti added:  “I got it wrong on Lukaku.
“In all honesty, I thought he was just physically strong and feared we would regret losing Icardi. Instead, Romelu is a champion, always helps his team-mates and has good vision.
“Antonio Conte was right to demand his signing and then did so well to improve him.”

On Monday Inter, who are rumoured to have agreed terms with Chelsea outcast Emerson, are due to face Shaktar Donesk in the semi-finals of the Europa League.
And the Italian club will be aiming to capture a trophy they have won on three occasions.
Moratti added: “Winning the Europa League won’t be easy, as there are four very competitive sides left, but I do hope Inter can be the next Italian club to lift a European trophy.”
