Zlatan Ibrahimovic has not yet agreed AC Milan contract, reveals agent Mino Raiola

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC’S AC Milan future is not yet guaranteed, according to Mino Raiola.
The agent is “optimistic” of the Swede’s expired contract at the San Siro being renewed after lengthy negotiations.

A fresh £104,000-a-week deal is said to be on the table for Ibrahimovic, 38 after he bagged 11 goals in 20 games to rejuvenate Milan after his January arrival.
But, despite reports of an agreement nearing completion, Raiola has challenged Milan’s hedge fund owners Elliott to demonstrate why the striker should sign on the dotted line.
He told Sky Sports Italia: “He won’t be there tomorrow, for the moment.
“We are still talking, but there is no agreement yet.

“It’s not about money, but of conviction and style.
“It takes two to make a marriage work and if Ibrahimovic didn’t want to remain with the Rossoneri, then there wouldn’t be a negotiation.

We are in a very sensitive phase of the negotiations.
    Mino Raiola

“Elliott have to make choices, different ones. They know how to make decisions in the financial world, but need to learn how to make them in the sporting world too.
“We are in a very sensitive phase of the negotiations and I don’t wish to say more.

“I am always optimistic. I don’t work to create problems, but to find solutions.”
Ibrahimovic made a sensational return to Milan at the start of the year after a spell in the USA with LA Galaxy.

His form led Stefano Pioli’s side to sixth in Serie A and Europa League qualification.
And while he now appears to be nearing another year at the club, he had previously stated his pessimism at a deal being reached.
Ibra said last month: “Nobody said anything to me and I don’t expect anything else.”

Pepe Reina set to complete two-year Lazio transfer from AC Milan after spending time on loan at Aston Villa

PEPE REINA is set to bid farewell to AC Milan with a move to Lazio on a two-year contract on the cards.
The veteran goalkeeper has reportedly agreed to a transfer to the Milan club’s Serie A rivals, according to Sky Italy.

Reina, 37, spent the second part of last season on loan to Aston Villa, where he helped the Midlands club avoid the drop into the Championship.

The former Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Napoli player kept clean sheets against Crystal Palace and Arsenal in two of Villa’s remaining four Premier League games last term.
Reports in Italy claim Reina, who won an FA Cup with Liverpool in 2006, will undertake a medical at Lazio later this week.
The Rome-based club finished fourth in Italy’s top football division and just five points behind Serie A champions Juventus.

It is thought the lure of playing Champions League football was a critical part of the former Spain international’s decision to switch clubs.
And Milan, who have won the contest seven times, failed to qualify for the competition this term after finishing sixth in Serie A last season.
However, the former Anfield stopper, who was the San Siro side’s No2 goalkeeper behind Gianluigi Donarumma, is likely to play back-up to Lazio’s first-choice Thomas Strakosha.
Reina, who signed for AC Milan in 2018, has made just 13 appearances for the Italian giants in all competitions.

And the club, who won their last Serie A title back in 2011, are reportedly seeking to sell their No2 stopper who is set to enter the last year of his current contract.
Reina’s wish for first-team action saw the former Anfield star make a short term switch to Villa Park to cover for the club’s injured stopper Tom Heaton.
And the Spaniard made 12 Premier League appearances for Aston Vila helping the side battle their way safety and avoid relegation.

Barcelona ‘to replace Lionel Messi with Paulo Dybala transfer THIS summer’ should Nou Camp icon quit club

BARCELONA want Paulo Dybala to replace Lionel Messi THIS summer if they fail to persuade the frustrated legend to stay, reports in Italy claim.
Messi’s future has split the Barca board. with some officials reportedly ready to sell the 33-year-old to help fund a squad revamp.

Fellow Argentina frontman Dybala was strongly linked with Manchester United and Tottenham last summer, with a possible move to Old Trafford or neighbours City also mentioned in the current transfer window.
The 26-year-old is reportedly demanding Juve almost double his weekly pay to £260,000 –  rivalling Cristiano Ronaldo, Matthijs de Ligt and Gonzalo Higuain.
And Barcelona are said to have made Dybala their No1 target if Messi’s unhappiness ends his 17-year stint at the Nou Camp – with PSG and Manchester City tipped to be his main suitors.

The one-club icon broke off from his holiday for frank talks with new Barca boss Ronald Koeman last week.

Radio station RAC1 then reported Messi as telling the Dutchman he was “more outside the club than inside”.
And it has since been suggested the all-time great attacker was even more annoyed afterwards when such details about the private conversation went public.

Fellow 30-something superstars like Luis Suarez, Gerard Pique and Sergio Busquets are among other Barca stalwarts facing summer exits following ther 8-2 Champions League quarter-final humbling by Bayern Munich.
And ESPN claim Nou Camp chiefs are “relaxed” about Messi’s future, despite his contract having just one year left.

But unless Dybala’s contract talks falter, he would be difficult to recruit as he confirmed himself as Ronaldo’s leading strike-partner last term with 17 goals and eight assists from 37 starts.

Bologna boss Sinisa Mihajlovic sparks serious concerns as he contracts Covid-19 while being in ‘high risk’ group

BOLOGNA boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has contracted Covid-19 – sparking particular concern as he is in a high-risk group.
The former Sporting Lisbon and AC Milan boss, 51, has fully recovered from leukaemia but has a history of serious illness.

    2

Mihajlovic’s Serie A club said in a statement: “Our coach is completely asymptomatic but will remain in isolation for the next two weeks in line with national guidelines.
“The entire Primavera team group underwent medical tests in the past few days with all the results returning as negative.
“First-team players and staff will undergo tests tomorrow (Monday).”
The ex-Inter Milan and Red Star Belgrade defender, who played 63 times for Yugoslavia, fought off blood cancer earlier this year after being diagnosed in July 2019.

    NEW CHALLENGE
He had successful chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant.
Mihajlovic described his initial cancer condition as “aggressive but beatable” – adding he would “face it with chest puffed out, looking it in the eyes, the way I always have done”.
The Croat returned to the dugout on a few occasions in the first half of last term before completing all his treatment and making a full comeback to guide Bologna to a 12th-place finish.
The team coach famously stopped off at Mihajlovic’s hospital on the way home after his half-time team talk on the phone inspired a 4-3 comeback win at Brescia last September.

And he was again in the dugout the following month against Lazio, where he is a fans’ favourite after six years there as a player.
Mihajlovic went back into hospital in January for anti-viral treatment but once more returned to the dug-out to see out the campaign.
Now he faces a new challenge as he aims to beat coronavirus in time for the Serie A kick-off on September 19.

Juventus so desperate to get rid of Higuain they will take £16.2m hit with NO transfer offers for ex-Chelsea striker

JUVENTUS are willing to take a £16.2million hit to get Gonzalo Higuain off their books, according to reports.
The ex-Chelsea striker has a contract in Turin until 2021 but does not fit into the plans of new Juve manager Andrea Pirlo.

    1

However, according to Tuttosport, there is no interest in Higuain from other clubs and he will only agree to leave if he is paid the £6.75million in wages he is due for the remaining year of his deal.
Negotiating a mutual termination of the Argentine’s contract would allow the ex-Napoli frontman to become a free agent and decide his own future.
Despite signing Higuain for £75.3million from Napoli in 2016, Juve are willing to make a £16.2million loss – based on howmuch that final year would cost with that transfer fee – on the 32-year-old to start afresh.
Juventus have been trying to shift Higuain and his wages since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018.

El Pipita spent the 2018-19 season on loan at AC Milan and then Chelsea under his former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri, but neither club were convinced to make the transfer permanent.
Despite Sarri’s arrival in Turin last summer, the Bianconeri had again hoped to sell Higuain to balance their books but the striker rejected all offers in order to fight for his place.

Manager Andrea Pirlo only pockets £1.6million-per-year after taking charge of the club

He eventually found some game time under Sarri, scoring 11 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions last season, but new Juve coach Pirlo seems to have made a decision on Higuain’s future already.
Reports yesterday suggested both the Argentine and German midfielder Sami Khedira were set to be axed by Pirlo as he attempts to rejuvenate his ageing squad.

Higuain’s former club River Plate was suggested as a possible destination for the striker while he spent lockdown in Buenos Aires.

Cristiano Ronaldo to rival old Man Utd team-mates by opening new luxury hotel in Manchester as part of growing empire

CRISTIANO RONALDO is planning to rival his old United team-mates by opening a new luxury hotel in Manchester.
The Old Trafford favourite, 35, has teamed up with Portuguese hotelier Pestana to launch the proposed ‘high-end lifestyle hotel’.

It is due to open in 2023, subject to planning permission.
And it will be the seventh of the chain’s ‘CR7’ branded hotels – named after the Portuguese captain’s initials and shirt number.
The hotel group announced: “It couldn’t be more appropriate – after all, this is the city where Cristiano Ronaldo started his international career in Man United back in 2003 and where he first used number 7.”
Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs – who both played with Ronaldo – own two hotels together in Manchester.

Manager Andrea Pirlo only pockets £1.6million-per-year after taking charge of the club
They first launched their successful ‘Hotel Football’ in the shadow of Old Trafford in 2015.
They also bought The Grade II-listed Stock Exchange eight years ago for £1.5million but invested around £20m on renovating it for it’s 2019 opening.
But both were closed this summer and offered out to NHS staff amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Ronaldo on the other hand already has hotel sites in his hometown of Funchal in Madeira and in Lisbon.

More openings are expected to be on the way in New York, Madrid, Marrakech and Paris.

But his new hotel in the Spanish capital has been put on hold due to the global crisis.
The planned grand opening of the Pestana CR7 Gran Via was scheduled for June.
But financial newspaper Invertia report on that being delayed due to the lockdown across the country drawing a halt to construction work.

Edin Dzeko’s stunning model wife Amra wants him to snub Juventus and Inter transfer interest and stay in Rome

EDIN DZEKO’S model wife wants him to snub Juventus and Inter Milan transfer interest to stay in Rome, according to reports.
The Roma striker, 34, has been linked with a move away this summer with two of Serie As biggest clubs keen.

    5

But his wife Amra is believed to be settled in the Italian capital and does not want to leave.
There is also the fact that she is pregnant with the couple’s third child – due in September – and therefore would rather not relocate.
So for now Corriere dello Sport report he may well be staying with Roma for another season.
But Dzeko’s agent Silvano Martina left the door open to a move this summer when he spoke to the media this week.

He said: “For now, he will continue wearing the Giallorossi jersey, then we’ll see.
“It’s no secret that Juve and Inter both like Edin.”
SunSport has previously reported how former Manchester City star Dzeko rejected a move to Everton from Roma – because of the “pouring rain”.
Inter almost signed him a year ago but instead he opted to sign a new deal at Roma until 2022.

But 12 months on, the Giallorossi are reportedly willing to listen to offers of around £14million.
The Bosnian is on around £7million a year and scored 19 goals last term, mostly while wearing the captain’s armband.
Dzeko tops a seven-man shortlist of strikers Juventus are chasing, which also features Raul Jimenez and Alexandre Lacazette, as they may have to replace both Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala.

And Inter are expected to go back in for the former Manchester City forward.
But the problem with both Juve and Inter would be game time.
Dzeko is a guaranteed starter week in, week out at Roma and he will not be given such assurances if he decides to move.
