Genoa plotting shock free transfer swoop for Jack Wilshere with ex-Arsenal star’s West Ham future still in doubt

SERIE A side Genoa are reportedly plotting a free transfer swoop for injury plagued West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere.
The ex-Arsenal star has played just 18 times for the Hammers since his 2018 arrival and the East Londoners are said to be considering ripping up his contract.

    1

Serie A side Genoa are interested in signing West Ham’s Jack Wilshere on a free

Despite featuring during pre-season, Wilshere, 28, did not even make the bench for the Irons’ woeful opening day home defeat to Newcastle.
Ankle and groin problems have seen the Englishman ruled out for more than 350 days since his arrival at London Stadium.
But this has not put Genoa off, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Their owner Enrico Preziosi would reportedly like to see the former Gunner at the Marassi Stadium as his Hammers future remains unclear.
Wilshere has one year left on his £100,000-a-week West Ham contract.
But the club are now in talks with Wilshere over buying out the final year of his contract, according to The Times.
Should they fail to come to an agreement, West Ham will look to sell Wilshere this summer.

And with any potential suitors unlikely to pay anywhere near £100k-a-week for such an injury prone star the Hammers appear willing to pay a percentage to get him off the books.
Despite the reports of his departure, Hammers boss David Moyes claims to know nothing of the situation.
Moyes said: “I have heard nothing about it.
“Jack has a year to go, he’s here, I have really enjoyed working with him.
“He has trained through all of his injuries since lockdown, he hasn’t missed a day. He is available for selection.”

Last week, Wilshere lashed out at West Ham’s board – criticising their decision to sell academy graduate Grady Diangana to West Brom for £18million.
Commenting on an Instagram post from Diangana, Wilshere said: “Go and do your thing in a club that respects you.”
Captain Mark Noble was also critical of the club letting go of a talented youngster, saying he was “sad, angry and disappointed” to see Diangana go but Moyes was quick to defend his captain’s reaction.

Watch Cristiano Ronaldo and Aaron Ramsey score as Pirlo says Juventus need new striker amid Luis Suarez transfer pursuit

CRISTIANO RONALDO and Aaron Ramsey both scored in Juventus’ pre-season win – but Andrea Pirlo still declared: “I need a striker.”
Ronaldo, 35, opened the scoring with 20 minutes on the clock as Juve thumped Novara 5-0 on Sunday morning.

The Portugal hero played a neat one-two on the edge of the area before sticking into the bottom corner emphatically.
Ramsey made it two 11 minutes after half-time.
Douglas Costa dug out a cross from the corner of the box and picked out the Welshman at the back post who finished neatly.
He retweeted Juventus’ clip of the goal on social media and wrote: “Good to be back out there.”

Substitute Marko Pjaca added a third ten minutes later for Juventus, who wore their orange third kit.
And youngster Manolo Portanova, who also came off the bench, grabbed himself two goals in injury time to complete the rout.
But despite seeing his side stick five in, Pirlo is adamant he needs further recruits up front before the transfer window closes.
Asked about signing a new striker: “I need it as soon as possible but the transfer market closes on October 4 and there will be time to work on it.

Manager Andrea Pirlo only pockets £1.6million-per-year after taking charge of the club

“I am satisfied, it was the first match with all the players available.
“It is the team that must have enthusiasm, it seems to me that they are getting used to the new type of work and are having fun. But the season will be long.”
Juventus continue to be linked with Barcelona striker Luis Suarez as well as Atletico Madrid man Alvaro Morata.
It is thought a two-year deal worth £12million is close to being agreed between Juventus and the Nou Camp giants for former Liverpool forward Suarez.
The Uruguay international must also take a ‘B1’ language exam in order to gain an Italian passport, which he is eligible for due to his wife being a citizen of the country.
If he gains an Italian passport, Suarez will arrive at Juventus as a replacement for Inter Miami-bound Gonzalo Higuain.

Luis Suarez ‘ready to snub Juventus transfer and favours switch to Atletico Madrid’ as Barcelona plan overhaul

LUIS SUAREZ could be set to perform a U-turn on his move to Juventus to seal a shock transfer to Atletico Madrid.
The Barcelona striker is understood to have agreed terms with the Italian champions after being cast aside by new boss Ronald Koeman.

But, according to reports in Spain, the former Liverpool icon could now end up closer to home.
AS claims that Suarez, 33, is “locked in talks” with Diego Simeone’s side and is keen to extend his stay in Spain having already played in LaLiga for six years.
The Uruguayan has won it all at the Nou Camp and his 198 goals for the club make him their third highest scoring player ever.
But it appears to count for nothing with incoming head coach Koeman who wants Suarez out as part of a major overhaul.

And Atleti chief Simeone is ready to pounce in the hope that the controversial forward’s all-action style will be a good fit for his side’s frontline.
Juventus have been leading the chase for Suarez’s signature and were said to be finalising a two-year deal worth £6million a season.
And that could rise to an eye-watering £9m if certain bonuses are met.

But Deportes Cuatro claims the former Liverpool icon wants to mull over all offers before making a firm decision on a move which could be the last of his playing career.
And while the Uruguayan is thought to be tempted by Juve’s offer, a late bid by Atletico has given him pause for thought.
Should the Madrid side press ahead with a Suarez transfer, it could spell the end for Diego Costa or Alvaro Morata.

Simeone thought to be keen on moving on one or both players.
However the Barcelona player’s contract wishes could be an obstacle with his Nou Camp bosses also keen to secure a fee that suits their financial needs
And Spanish outlet Sport claim Atletico have yet to make a formal bid and that Juventus remains Suarez’s most likely destination.

Man City star Zinchenko’s agent confirms he would be open to discussing Napoli transfer as part of Koulibaly deal

OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO’S agent confirmed the Manchester City ace would be open to being part of a swap deal for Kalidou Koulibaly.
Pep Guardiola has already brought in one centre-back this summer with Nathan Ake arriving from Bournemouth.

But he is still keen to get another through the door at the Etihad before the transfer window closes – with Napoli ace Koulibaly a long-term target.
The Senegal star would reportedly cost around £63million but reports suggest City may try and use Zinchenko as a makeweight in any deal.
And the Ukranian’s agent, Alan Prudnikov, told Radio Marte: “Zinchenko in the Koulibaly negotiation? He is on the radar of Naples, three years ago there were meetings.

“But for this, we have to ask Koulibaly’s agent, of whom we have the utmost respect as well as the Manchester City management.
“What if City called me to include Zinchenko in the negotiation? If it were to do so, we would listen to Napoli’s proposal and try to see what to do.”
Zinchenko, 23, has proved a versatile player under Guardiola, regularly playing at left-back with Benjamin Mendy’s injury woes – although he prefers to play further forward in midfield.
He has previously been linked with Napoli, most notably in 2018 as City eyed Jorginho, now of Chelsea.

He stayed put at the Etihad and made a total of 25 appearances last season, adding another Carabao Cup to his extensive trophy cabinet.

But Prudnikov added a move to Italy should not be ruled out – especially while Cristiano Ronaldo is still playing there.
He continued: “Zinchenko in the past near Napoli? In hindsight, we can say that staying in Manchester City was the right choice.
“We are grateful to Guardiola for the chance he gave the boy to develop and play. Zinchenko renewed last summer with City and is focused on the English club, he wants to win many trophies.
“With Guardiola, he plays at full-back, but he can do at least four roles and today he is focused on City, but in football never say never.
“One day it would be nice to beat Ronaldo in Serie A, but it is necessary that Cristiano does not retire also because at the moment Zinchenko’s future is at City.”

Torino reject Tottenham loan offer for Belotti with £46.3m option to buy and will only sell him on a permanent transfer

TORINO have rejected Tottenham’s loan offer for Andrea Belotti, according to reports.
It is thought Spurs wanted to take the striker on a temporary basis for this season with the option to sign him for £46.3million next summer.

    1

But according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino would only want to let Belotti go if they could guarantee a transfer fee.
So a loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season may be a more likely option for a deal to get done.
Belotti, 26, is understood to have a £92.6m release clause in his Torino contract.

But that clause, valid until June 2022, is only valid for teams outside of Italy.
The Italian joined Torino from Palermo in 2015 and has scored 92 goals in 192 appearances for the Serie A club.
Belotti also has nine strikes in 28 international caps for the Italian national team.
Tottenham have already brought in keeper Joe Hart, defender Matt Doherty and midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Jose Mourinho is keen to add another centre forward – although any new signing knows they will have to play as back-up to Harry Kane.

Napoli’s Polish ace Arkadiusz Milik is believed to be his No 1 target but he is also looking at RB Salzburg’s Zambian hitman Patson Daka and Metz’s Senegal striker Habib Diallo.
Mourinho said: “Yes, I want, I need a striker.
“The club — the structure above me — knows I need a striker and also wants a striker.
“Are we going to get one? I believe so.
“The team needs it because at this moment the squad is getting very balanced, with different options for different positions.”

Jose Mourinho aims dig at Danny Rose as out-of-favour Tottenham defender eyes Genoa transfer escape

JOSE MOURINHO fired a prospective parting shot at Danny Rose — claiming he is not up to playing in a team where his place is under threat.
Tottenham left-back Rose will miss their Prem opener at home to Everton on Sunday as he mulls over a move to Genoa.

    2

The England ace, 30, is in the final year of his contract and spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle after being frozen out at Spurs.
Rose was seen confronting his manager about his lack of playing time in an episode of Amazon’s documentary on the club Tottenham Hotspur: All Or Nothing.
Mourinho said yesterday: “If Genoa get Danny Rose,  they get a good player.

“If they get a good player in the last year of his contract, they’re in a privileged position to do a good deal.
“If Danny Rose goes there, I wish him all the best.
“It’s one of the things that was very clear from one of the Amazon bits is that Danny is the kind of guy who wants to play all the time.
“Some players are more adapted to belong to a squad with quality where competition is higher. Other players are only happy if they’re in a club where they play all the time.”

Mourinho’s men finished sixth last season — ten points ahead of Everton.

    2

But he believes the Toffees under Carlo Ancelotti  are top-six rivals this time.
He added: “I do see them as top- six challengers. The ten-point distance last season was the consequence of how strange last season was.”

Romelu Lukaku SLAMS ‘s***’ new FIFA 21 rating and claims EA Sports mess with ratings for free publicity with Oblak 91

ROMELU Lukaku has slammed his “s***” new FIFA 21 rating and even claimed EA Sport deliberately mess with the numbers to draw a reaction out of the players.
The release of top 100 best-rated players has caused a stir among the stars with some delighted by their new rating and some, like Lukaku, left fuming.

    4

Romelu Lukaku was docked a point on his overall score, but still retains strong ratings in other departments

    4

The Belgian striker sensed a conspiracy afoot and tried to play down his annoyance

The yearly release of the information ahead of the new FIFA game has become notable for professional players raging at what they see as harsh ratings.
And the ex-United striker reckons its all to drum up publicity for the popular footy game.
He tweeted: “Let’s be honest FIFA just mess with the ratings so we players start complaining about the game and give them more publicity… I ain’t with this s***. I know what I do.”
His complaints came despite the fact he was downgraded by only ONE point from last year’s edition.

The Inter Milan star is rated as an 85 overall in FIFA 21, which is just behind his 86 rating on the previous FIFA 20.
But the score does place him behind the likes of Jamie Vardy and his Serie A opponent Ciro Immobile.
The Belgian enjoyed a great first season in Serie A after being sold by Manchester United.
He hit 23 goals in 36 Serie A matches and broke European records by scoring in 10 consecutive Europa League matches.

Only EA Sports will know why his stock has not risen after a fantastic season on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak was the highest rated goalkeeper and clocked up an incredible score of 91.
It puts him only behind outfield wizards Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski, Kevin De Bruyne and Neymar.
He even managed to get ahead the Liverpool trio of Virgin Van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane and PSG’s wonderkid Kylian Mbappe.
Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold has seen an outstanding year at Liverpool bear fruit in his new rating.
The talented right-back could hardly fend off a grin when presented with his new FIFA card.
The only thing that surprised him was his underwhelming shooting score of 66 – despite hitting three goals from direct free-kicks last season.
The title-winning defender quipped to the BBC: “Maybe they put that in there because it’s my squad number.”
Manchester City’s Aymeric Laporte was named FIFA’s fourth-best centre back – but was irked by the game giving him a pace rating of only 63.

He shared his grievances with a hilarious social media post of his reaction.
The game is set to be released on October 9 this year, with early access on October 6 to those who pre-order.
The game’s traditional release date of late September was disrupted by coronavirus. More

Chelsea ‘reject stunning N’Golo Kante for Christian Eriksen and Marcelo Brozovic swap transfer offer by Inter Milan’

CHELSEA have reportedly rejected a swap offer for Inter Milan involving Christian Eriksen and Marcelo Brozovic for N’Golo Kante.
Inter boss Antonio Conte is believed to be desperate to be reunited with the French international at the San Siro and has made him his No1 midfield target.

And the Serie A side are willing to offload two of their own players in order to bring the ex-Leicester ace to Italy.
According to the Daily Mail, they have had their bid for Kante knocked back, with the Blues having no interest in either Eriksen or Brozovic.
It has been claimed that Frank Lampard would rather sell Jorginho ahead of the World Cup winner.
They add that Chelsea would consider cash bids for Kante, as they look to raise funds in order to prise Declan Rice away from West Ham.

Despite only joining from Tottenham in January, Inter are said to be already looking to cut their losses on Eriksen.
The Danish international scored just once and provided two assists in 17 Serie A games during the 2019-20 season.
He was limited to just eight league starts, and also started from the bench in the Europa League final defeat against Sevilla.

But the Blues do not want him or Brozovic in their squad as they feel they have too many midfielders in their ranks.
The futures of Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are already in question, while Danny Drinkwater still has two years left on his contract.
Chelsea are also looking to part ways with Tiemoue Bakayoko, with AC Milan looking to bring him back to the club.
