Man Utd joined by Borussia Dortmund in Christian Eriksen transfer race with Inter Milan keen to offload flop in January

BORUSSIA DORTMUND have reportedly joined the race for Inter Milan flop Christian Eriksen.
Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb claim the Bundesliga giants launched a loan move for the former Spurs star in October.

Eriksen ultimately stayed at Inter but the report adds that Dortmund could return for the Denmark international in January.
The 28-year-old has also been linked with a return to England after falling out favour under Antonio Conte.
SunSport previously reported that Manchester United were interested in a potential swap deal involving Brazilian midfielder Fred.
The Red Devils were linked with Eriksen during his time at Tottenham but already have Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, Donny van de Beek, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard as attacking midfielders.

Paris Saint-Germain could also be the Dane’s next step with Leandro Paredes the midfielder Inter want in exchange.
Eriksen has played just 301 minutes of football under Conte so far this season and is yet to register a goal or an assist.
And Inter have since put clubs on red alert by admitting they will not stand in the playmaker’s way if he wants to go in January.
Ahead of the Nerazzurri’s 4-2 win against Torino on Sunday, club chief Beppe Marotta stated Eriksen can leave the San Siro if he wants next year.

Marotta, 63, told DAZN: “Christian is acting like a professional but in January we’ll decide about his future.
“There are no advanced talks with any club at the moment, we’ll see in the next few weeks.
“Conte has answered exhaustively about him. We must not detain a player if he asks to be transferred.” More

Zlatan Ibrahimovic calls for investigation into FIFA 21 after EA Sports ‘use his name and face without permission’

ZLATAN IBRAHMOVIC has called for an investigation into FIFA 21, alleging EA Sports ‘used his name and face without permission’.
The AC Milan superstar, 39, took to Twitter tonight to question why his likeness is being used in the popular video game.

Who gave FIFA EA Sport permission to use my name and face? @FIFPro? I’m not aware to be a member of Fifpro and if I am I was put there without any real knowledge through some weird manouver. And for sure I never allowed @FIFAcom or Fifpro to make money using me
    — Zlatan Ibrahimović (@Ibra_official) November 23, 2020

Ibra and the rest of his AC Milan teammates are playable characters on FIFA 21

FIFA games are released each year, with the latest instalment coming out on October 5.
But the Swede is more concerned with knowing how his name and face worked their way into EA Sports’ systems.
Ibrahimovic tweeted: “Who gave FIFA EA Sport permission to use my name and face? @FIFPro?
“I’m not aware to be a member of Fifpro and if I am I was put there without any real knowledge through some weird manoeuvre.

“And for sure I never allowed @FIFAcom or Fifpro to make money using me.
“Somebody is making profit on my name and face without any agreement all these years.
    “Time to investigate.”

Gareth Bale weighed in on the debate, adding: “Interesting… what is @FIFPro? #TimeToInvestigate.”

Fifpro, the global players union, included Ibrahimovic in their World XI in 2013 and he collected his award at the Ballon d’Or ceremony the following year.
While Bale has his own FIFA Esports team.
AC Milan agreed an exclusive multi-year partnership with EA Sports this year, beginning with FIFA 21, giving the franchise access to players, kits, training grounds and the San Siro stadium.
Ibrahimovic’s tweets come just days after he gifted AC Milan team-mates a new PlayStation 5 video games console.

Ibra then inspired them to a 3-1 win against Napoli on Sunday, scoring two goals including a fabulous long-range header.
Agent Mino Raiola says Ibrahimovic can play at the highest level until he’s 50 years old – and even then will need to be taken away on a stretcher.
However, Ibrahimovic dashed hopes of a return to the international stage by admitting a teasing Instagram post earlier this month was just a wind-up.

ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC backed up claims he can continue playing until he is 50 with another outrageous goal for AC Milan.
The striker might be 39, but he showed there is no sign of his talents waning with a sensational header against Napoli.

The Swede has now scored in eight consecutive games for the San Siro side – with his latest moving him one ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Serie A golden boot race.
Milan team-mate Theo Fernandez was the man who provided the assist, but his floated ball in from the left did not even seem like a goalscoring opportunity for the ex-Manchester United forward.
Ibrahimovic outpowered Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and beat him in the air just inside the penalty box.
And he perfectly managed to direct the ball with phenomenal power for it to bounce into the far corner.

That was the veteran’s ninth goal of the campaign and one of a brace he got in the 3-1 away win to send Milan top.
And that statistic is even more impressive considering he missed four games after testing positive for coronavirus.
Ibrahimovic has scored goals for some of the biggest clubs on the planet after stints at Ajax, Inter, the Red Devils, Barcelona and now back at the Rossoneri.
Even though he suffered an ACL injury during his time at United in 2017, his agent believes the superstar can go on at the top level for another decade.

Mino Raiola said: “He will play football until they have to take him away on a stretcher.
“He can continue until he is 50 but only if he plays at high levels, he can continue.
“He has resurrected all of Milan, he is 90 per cent of that team.”

Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘future at Juventus’ says club chief Paratici as Pirlo piles praise on forward amid transfer talk

CRISTIANO RONALDO’S future is at Juventus despite transfer talk linking him with an exit, insisted sporting director Fabio Paratici.
And manager Andrea Pirlo piled the plaudits on his superstar forward as the club look to keep him happy.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s future lies at Juventus, claimed sporting director Fabio ParaticiCredit: Reuters

Ronaldo, 35, has been tipped to leave Juve next year after three seasons with the Italian giants due to his big wages, contract expiring in 2022 and the financial impact of coronavirus on the Serie A champions.
Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and even Real Madrid are among the sides reportedly considering big-money offers.
But chief Paratici reckons the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is going nowhere.
He said: “His future is with us, I can assure you.

“There are transfer rumours every day and players that are linked with different clubs but we don’t pay much attention to that.”
Ronaldo scored both goals for Juventus in their 2-0 win over Cagliari on Saturday.
His two strikes came within four first-half minutes just before the break and proved a crucial three points in the early-season battle.
It took his tally to eight in five in the league this season and continued his record of scoring in every game.

Manager Andrea Pirlo only pockets £1.6million-per-year after taking charge of the club

And Pirlo reserved special praise for the ‘real champion’ Ronaldo, urging him to keep pushing himself to be the best.
The under-pressure boss said: “He is a great professional, as we already knew.
“He is a real champion and sets the example for everyone around him, both in the matches and in training.
“The only advice I can give him is to keep going in the same way.”

Juventus 2 Cagliari 0: Cristiano Ronaldo closing in on becoming football’s top goalscorer ever after Serie A double

CRISTIANO RONALDO edged closer to Pele’s all-time goalscoring record with his double against Cagliari yesterday.
The Portuguese mega-star scored two before half-time to put him on 748 OFFICIAL goals as Juventus won 2-0.

Ronaldo edged closer to Pele’s record with a brace against Cagliari

Juve moved second in Serie A with the win – the same position Ronaldo finds himself in the all-time scorer chart.
With 102 international goals for Portugal, yesterday’s brace were Ronnie’s 645th and 646th club goals.
For his first, he cut inside and drove a low effort into the net before adjusting well to a deflected pass for his second – flicking the ball in when it was headed behind him.
The 748 goal haul comes from 1,024 games – 856 club matches and 168 senior appearances for his country.

Ronaldo, 35, is on course to beat Brazilian legend Pele’s 767 goal haul given his intention to continue playing into his late thirties.
However, arch rival for the ‘greatest player of all time’ title Lionel Messi is also in line to edge ahead of Pele too.
Barcelona’s Argentine icon has scored 711 official goals – 640 for Barcelona and 71 for his country.
But many argue Messi will eclipse both Ronaldo and Pele as he has just 37 less than Ronnie and 56 less than Pele and he is only 33.

He has also played 142 games less than Ronaldo with 882 under his belt so far.
But for now, Ronaldo is edging closer to the top.
There are suggestions he may be even closer to Pele’s total with many arguing the 748 does not include goals scored in unofficial games that should count.
But if he carries on as it is the former Manchester United man will smash the total with official strikes and leave no doubt.
Ronaldo and his Juve team-mates sported red marks on their faces in a campaign to end domestic violence against women.
It is a repeat of last season’s move when Serie A players teamed up with Italian organisation WeWorld Onlus to promote the cause.
