Romelu Lukaku reaches 300 career goals with double in Inter Milan’s 3-1 win over Lazio as Conte’s side go top of Serie A

ROMELU LUKAKU reached 300 career goals with a double for Inter Milan on Sunday night.
And his strikes helped fire the San Siro giants above rivals AC Milan to the top of the Serie A table.

Lukaku, 27, grabbed his first from the penalty spot with 22 minutes on the clock.
Lautaro Martinez was brought down by a sliding tackle and after a quick-feet run up, the Belgian striker sent Pepe Reina the wrong way.
He smashed his second on the stroke of half-time.
The ball ricocheted and fell kindly to the No9 who fired home with his right foot.

Originally the flag went up but replays showed the ball came off a Lazio defender and he was onside.
And that brought up his triple-hundred career goals.
Of those, 56 have come for Inter since joining from Manchester United in 2019.
Lukaku scored 42 for the Red Devils, 87 for Everton, 17 on loan at West Brom and 41 for Anderlecht – but zero in 15 for Chelsea.

The remaining goals are on the international stage, netting 57 in his 89 Belgium caps.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s deflected free-kick bounced off Gonzalo Escalante and wrong-footed Samir Handanovic to pull one back for Lazio on the hour mark.
But three minutes later, Inter restored their two-goal advantage when Lukaku turned on the afterburners to race clear and set up Martinez to tap in.
The 3-1 win took Antonio Conte’s side on to 50 points from their 22 league games, one point clear of AC who suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to Spezia.
Inter have not won the Scudetto since the treble-winning season of 2009-10 while Lukaku’s only league title came with Anderlecht in the same season.

Liverpool make Torino’s Brazilian defender Bremer No1 transfer target… with star available for less than £10m

LIVERPOOL have identified Torino defender Bremer as a top transfer target, according to reports.
And they believe they could land him for less than £10million.

The Reds are expected to sign a centre-back in the summer to bolster their back line.
And according to the Mirror, the Brazilian will be pursued at the end of the season as their No1 target.
The report adds he prefers to play on the left of a centre-half pairing and would complement Virgil van Dijk well when he returns from injury.
Liverpool are without Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip for the rest of the campaign.

They missed out on Bayern-bound Dayot Upamecano while targets David Alaba and Kalidou Koulibaly are unlikely to move to Anfield.
Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak were both brought in on deadline day at the end of the January window.
But with Kabak on loan from Schalke, the Reds may instead look to try and bring Bremer in permanently.
The 23-year-old is attracting plenty of interest with his strong performances in Serie A despite Torino battling relegation.

Cristiano Ronaldo ‘urges’ Juventus to complete transfer move for his old Real Madrid pal Marcelo this summer

CRISTIANO RONALDO has again urged Juventus to sign his former Real Madrid team-mate Marcelo, according to reports.
And with Real reportedly keen to sell him this summer the chances of the pair being reunited are higher than ever before.

Ronnie had similar conversations with Juve chiefs in the spring of 2020.
Back then, officials from the Old Lady were said to have planned a trip to Madrid to thrash out a deal with the player’s representatives, only for the coronavirus pandemic to hit.
Now, ForzaItalianFootball say Ronaldo has been knocking on the door again.
Marcelo’s Madrid contract does not expire until June 2022 but Los Blancos are looking to offload him at the end of this season to ensure they receive a fee for the 32-year-old.

The Brazilian has established himself as one of the world’s best left-backs during his trophy laiden spell in the Spanish capital, but there is no interest in offering the Brazilian a new deal.
Ronaldo and Marcelo won the Champions League together four times at Madrid and developed a close relationship on and off the pitch.
Real signed Brazil international Marcelo from Fluminense on January 2007 and he has played 519 games in all competitions since.

He has bagged 38 goals and 101 assists in that time as he offered outstanding value at both ends of the pitch.
Such have been his contributions to Real, he was recently named in SunSport’s best XI of players who have played with Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.
Marcelo narrowly beat Barcelona ace Jordi Alba to make it into the first XI.

Other than Insta’s own personal account with 386m followers, Ronaldo’s page is the most followed of anyone in the world.

Even on YouTube, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner exceeds a million despite not using the account for four years.

Ronaldo’s great rival Lionel Messi only boasts 90m Facebook followers and 183m on Instagram, while the Argentine doesn’t have Twitter.
SunSport revealed last year that CR7 actually makes more money on social media than he does playing for Juventus.
Ronaldo saw an increase of £3.5m from his Instagram earnings last year from in 2019 by pocketing an average £971,000 per sponsored post.
Over the past year he promoted Nike, his fragrance CR7 Play it Cool and even an EMS training device called ‘Sixpad’.

His partner Georgina Rodriguez, who regularly frequents his page, has also amassed 24m followers and is one of the fastest growing Instagram’s.

And the Spanish model has continued to branch out with the launch of her own clothing line.
Rodriguez is no stranger to the fashion industry having caught the eye of Ronaldo when she worked as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid.
The 27-year-old will be hoping her own fashion line is just as successful as Ronaldo’s, as his ‘CR7’ range continues to grow.

Chelsea ‘offer Jorginho to Inter Milan in swap transfer for ex-Tottenham star Christian Eriksen PLUS £18m’

CHELSEA are reportedly set to offer Jorginho to Inter Milan in exchange for Christian Eriksen plus an extra £18million.
Eriksen could return to the Premier League this summer with Manchester United, Wolves, Leicester and Arsenal interested.

According to Italian publication Calciomercato, Chelsea have made contact with Inter Milan over a move for the 28-year-old.
The Blues are aware that Inter Milan, managed by former boss Antonio Conte, are long-term admirers of Jorginho.
But the Stamford Bridge side believe Jorginho, 29, has a much higher market value than Eriksen.
As a result, Chelsea will also demand an extra £18million in order to get the deal over the line.

Jorginho has played for the Premier League side since he joined from Napoli in 2018.
He has scored five goals and made one assist in 15 top-flight appearances this season.
And new Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is keen to extend his contract at the club until 2025.
But Eriksen could replace him at Stamford Bridge next season despite his poor spell in Italy.

The Danish star has failed to live up to expectations since he joined from Spurs last year.
He has started just five games this season and is yet to register a goal or an assist.
Despite his lack of game time, Conte confirmed the club’s plans to keep hold of him.
Leicester considering signing him on loan but will not pay his £300,000-per-week wages.
United were also linked with a loan move for the struggling Serie A star last month.

Wanda Icardi braves the snow in just skin-tight swimsuit after posting cryptic dig at Mauro’s old club Inter Milan

WELCOME to a winter Wanda land – complete with an icy dig.
Wanda Icardi angered fans of husband Mauro’s old club Inter Milan with a social media post – then stirred things up another way by donning a SWIMSUIT for glacial glamour photos in the snow.

Wanda Icardi stirred things up with a social media post, seemingly on husband Mauro’s old club Inter, and photos of her defying snowy conditions

Technically it was a sunny day but TV presenter and model Wanda Icardi was stretching it a bit with this pose

Wanda Icardi’s footwear would have put even the pinkest pair of football boots to shame for their eye-catching style

The model and TV presenter produced chills and thrills with her snow’s pose in a black one-piece outfit and sparkly boots that had more bling than even the brightest footwear seen out on the pitch.
Wanda, who is also Mauro’s agent, had earlier irked Inter supporters with her message “All white and I black” after Juventus KO’D their big rivals in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
Many took this as a subtle jibe at his controversial exit from the Serie A giants, amid claims Wanda was the driving force for his lucrative move to PSG.
Icardi followed up his season’s loan at the French champions with a £54million permanent switch last May.

Wanda Icardi, who married fellow Argentinian Mauro in 2014, is phone alone for this selfie that she posted on Instagram
And any acrimony had been slipping away – until Wanda’s post briefly sent it snowballing again.
Icardi himself hardly helped matters by liking a post containing Juventus celebration pictures.
A 0-0 home draw put the Serie A champs through following their 2-1 first-leg win at the San Siro.
Juve will now face either Atalanta in the final on May 19.

But the cup was no distraction for Wanda’s 7.4million Instagram followers.

They instead focused on her collection of weather-wowing shots defying the low temperatures.

Cold comfort, maybe, to Inter supporters, but playing it cool for her own legions of fans.

Premier League TV deal delay justified as European leagues face financial crisis amid dwindling rights offers

PREMIER LEAGUE chiefs’ decision to put their next TV rights deal process on hold is justified by the financial chaos hitting European rivals.
Italy’s Serie A clubs today vote on whether to accept the ‘winning’ £745million-per-season bid by DAZN for the next three-year deal.

DAZN outbid Sky Italia by £87m but offered £117m per season LESS than the current deal – and £250m below the auction reserve price.
Serie A is also facing the potential scrapping of the £1.5billion deal with private equity company CVC struck in November.
The crisis comes with French Ligue 1 bosses forced into a cut-price deal with Canal+, knocking a third off estimated incomes this season, after terminating their new £1bn annual deal with Mediapro.
In Spain, LaLiga chief Javier Tebas anticipates the 20 clubs will lose £1.6bn as a direct cost of the pandemic.

Germany’s next four-year Bundesliga deal with Sky and DAZN dropped by £50m per season.
Premier League clubs accepted the argument that going to market now risked a reduction in the rights, valued at £1.6bn per season in the three-year deal that runs out next term.
The hope is that a vaccine-led recovery will help transform the landscape when the tender document is published.
That is expected to now be towards the end of the year.

    SUMMER SHOWPIECE FEAR
UEFA and the IOC have pushed back final calls on their summer showpieces to April.
While the governing bodies are committed to making sure both the delayed Euro 2020 and Tokyo Olympics go ahead, initial promises of decisions next month have been put on hold.
IOC chiefs are ready to place strict regulations on all Olympic athletes, officials and media in the Japanese capital.
Uefa remains under pressure to remodel its tournament — currently still scheduled to take place in 12 countries across the continent.
But a verdict may wait until its annual congress, due to be held in Montreux on April 20.
