Zlatan Ibrahimovic will perform at Sanremo Music Festival and sing duet with Sinisa Mihajlovic, Bologna manager claims

AC MILAN star Zlatan Ibrahimovic will SING at an Italian music festival, according to Bologna boss Sinisa Mihajlovic.
The 39-year-old will perform a duet with Mihajlovic in Sanremo next month, no doubt becoming a pop sensation.

The self-proclaimed “lion” is clearly a man of many talents.
As well as winning trophies in Italy, Spain and England, he has a black belt in taekwondo and his autobiography I Am Zlatan was shortlisted for the prestigious William Hill Sports Book of the Year award.
But those expecting Ibrahimoivic to clean up at the BRITs will be disappointed, as he is said to be an awful singer.
Speaking to Sky Italia, his friend Mihajlovic said: “The two things I do least well are singing and dancing. Ibra is also a terrible singer.

“At least we’ll make people laugh.”
The Sanremo Music Festival has been held annually since 1951 and is one of the most popular music events in Italy.

Man Utd’s biggest transfers ever, both in and out, including Ronaldo
This year’s festival will last for five nights between March 2-6 and will be televised.

Ibrahimovic will travel to the event by helicopter to ensure he can still fulfil his day job on the pitch.
Ibra and Mihajlovic have been friends for many years after the Serbian coached him at Inter Milan.
The 51-year-old left his position as assistant manager in 2008 to become Bologna’s boss and has since coached Fiorentina, Sampdoria and AC Milan, as well as the Serbian national team.

He returned to Bologna in January 2019 and was reportedly interested in signing Ibrahimovic before the Swede re-joined AC Milan.
Mihajlovic will be envious of the Rossoneri as the Swedish striker has been in excellent form this season.
The former Manchester United star scored the 500th goal of his club career earlier this month as Milan defeated Crotone to return to the top of Serie A.
And in December club legend Paolo Maldini said Ibrahimovic was on the same level as the great Marco van Basten.

Lazio face being RELEGATED to Serie B over investigation into claims they tampered with coronavirus tests

LAZIO have been referred to the Italian Federal Court over claims they allegedly tampered with coronavirus tests.
ESPN claim the Serie A giants face a series of increasingly severe punishments if found guilty that range from a points deduction to even RELEGATION to Serie B.

The report adds that pressure would be on the Italian authorities to issue strong action if Lazio are convicted given the current climate.
President Claudio Lotito and the club’s doctors Ivo Pulcini and Fabio Rodia have been accused by prosecutors of violating Covid-19 protocols.
The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) said Simeone Inzaghi’s side failed to properly report the number of positive cases in their squad.
Lazio have also been put on trial for not enforcing an asymptomatic player undergoing the mandatory 10-day isolation period.

That player, whose identity is yet to be announced, was later allegedly involved in a Serie A match.
While the Italian FA has deferred the matter to the national courts, Lazio have since responded in a statement.
Club Spokesman Roberto Rao said: “We trust in sporting justice, which will be expressed in the appropriate offices, so that the correct reconstruction of the facts is re-established and total non-involvement with the contested accusations is recognised.”
An investigation was first started back on November 3 when tests were seized following a training ground inspection.

Lotito stands accused of having “failed to enforce, or failed to monitor compliance with, the rules on health checks and the necessary communications to the competent local health authorities.”
The Biancocelesti had points deducted in the 2006 Calciopoli scandal which saw Juventus relegated for attempting to influence match officials.
AC Milan were also forced to drop down a division for match-fixing in 1980.

Italian journalist Mario Sconcerti likened Ronaldo to an ‘old man’ after Wednesday’s game.
Writing for Corriere della Sera, he said: “It was almost embarrassing.
“Until now, he limited himself to scoring goals and not playing so well.
“Now he disappeared. In one play, he kicked the air like an old man without balance.”

Former Italy striker Antonio Cassano described the five-time Ballon d’Or as ‘selfish’.
The ex-Real Madrid and Roma forward said Ronaldo doesn’t care about team-mates scoring.
He said: “I have always said, he has scored a billion goals, but with Andrea Pirlo’s idea of football it could be difficult.
“He scores a goal per game but he struggles with Andrea’s idea.

Mota, 22, was only at Juventus between August 2019 and July 2020 before leaving for Serie B side Monza.
But fellow Portuguese Ronaldo had a huge impact on the striker during his time with the Old Lady.
Mota never made a first team appearance for Juve but he still plans on playing with the goal machine one day.
The Portugal U-21 international told O Jogo: “The dream of playing alongside Ronaldo remains very present.

“We all know his quality and the history he made and what he does in football.
“When I started training at Juventus, he already knew who I was. That surprised me.
“He gave me advice for me to work and to be a professional on and off the field.”
The story will come as no surprise to those close to Ronnie who know him as a humble and dedicated professional despite being one of the best footballers of all time.

Ronaldo is actually really humble to those who know him

Very few have stepped up to the plate as much as Ronaldo during the pandemic.
He earns £500,000-a-week wages at the Italian club and has sponsorship deals with the likes of Nike, Armani, KFC, Herbalife, as well as his own range of CR7 clothes, shoes and underwear.
But he has put his money where his mouth is and aided those in need.
According to various reports, Ronaldo teamed up with his agent Jorge Mendes back in March to donate £1m to hospitals in Portugal to fight the coronavirus pandemic.
He is an ambassador for three major charities, Save the Children, Unicef and World Vision, and has spoken up for countless more.
And the 36-year-old, compared to a growing number of his peers, is remarkably tattoo-free.
It’s all for a reason – Ronaldo regularly donates blood and has been involved in numerous campaigns to encourage others to do the same.

How Real Madrid’s Galacticos would have lined up with Totti as Roma icon admits he was tempted by £10.5m transfer offer

FRANCESCO TOTTI has revealed the substantial offer he rejected to join Real Madrid.
In 2005, the Spanish giants vowed to pay the striker over £200,000-a-week to sign him from Roma.

Francesco Totti was in his prime when the huge offer landedCredit: AFP

The deal would have seen the Italian enter a team already bursting full of talent, including Raul, Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham and Ronaldo.
It is not hard to see how Totti would have slotted into a fiercely attacking system, which missed out on the LaLiga title that season without him.
Recalling the bid, Totti told Movistar+: “Real Madrid wanted me at any cost.
“They offered me £10.5m a year, the temptation was very strong.

“When we played against them there was Beckham, Raul, Zidane…
“They told me half-jokingly half-seriously, ‘We know that there is a possibility that you will come and play with us. Hurry because Real Madrid is Real Madrid’.”

My family and friends would all have carried me to Madrid.
    Francesco Totti

The Roman, 44, was in his prime at the time having previously won Serie A with his beloved club and, in 2006, starting in the final as Italy conquered the World Cup.
In 2017, Totti retired as a one-club man with over 300 goals in 785 appearance to his name.

And it was his love for Roma that kept him in the Italian capital despite his family and friends urging him to sign for Real.

Romelu Lukaku reaches 300 career goals with double in Inter Milan’s 3-1 win over Lazio as Conte’s side go top of Serie A

ROMELU LUKAKU reached 300 career goals with a double for Inter Milan on Sunday night.
And his strikes helped fire the San Siro giants above rivals AC Milan to the top of the Serie A table.

Lukaku, 27, grabbed his first from the penalty spot with 22 minutes on the clock.
Lautaro Martinez was brought down by a sliding tackle and after a quick-feet run up, the Belgian striker sent Pepe Reina the wrong way.
He smashed his second on the stroke of half-time.
The ball ricocheted and fell kindly to the No9 who fired home with his right foot.

Originally the flag went up but replays showed the ball came off a Lazio defender and he was onside.
And that brought up his triple-hundred career goals.
Of those, 56 have come for Inter since joining from Manchester United in 2019.
Lukaku scored 42 for the Red Devils, 87 for Everton, 17 on loan at West Brom and 41 for Anderlecht – but zero in 15 for Chelsea.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s deflected free-kick bounced off Gonzalo Escalante and wrong-footed Samir Handanovic to pull one back for Lazio on the hour mark.
But three minutes later, Inter restored their two-goal advantage when Lukaku turned on the afterburners to race clear and set up Martinez to tap in.
The 3-1 win took Antonio Conte’s side on to 50 points from their 22 league games, one point clear of AC who suffered a shock 2-0 defeat to Spezia.
Inter have not won the Scudetto since the treble-winning season of 2009-10 while Lukaku’s only league title came with Anderlecht in the same season.

Liverpool make Torino’s Brazilian defender Bremer No1 transfer target… with star available for less than £10m

And they believe they could land him for less than £10million.

The Reds are expected to sign a centre-back in the summer to bolster their back line.
And according to the Mirror, the Brazilian will be pursued at the end of the season as their No1 target.
The report adds he prefers to play on the left of a centre-half pairing and would complement Virgil van Dijk well when he returns from injury.
Liverpool are without Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip for the rest of the campaign.

They missed out on Bayern-bound Dayot Upamecano while targets David Alaba and Kalidou Koulibaly are unlikely to move to Anfield.
Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak were both brought in on deadline day at the end of the January window.
But with Kabak on loan from Schalke, the Reds may instead look to try and bring Bremer in permanently.
The 23-year-old is attracting plenty of interest with his strong performances in Serie A despite Torino battling relegation.
