Inter Milan fans threaten to boycott buying club shirts and merchandise after ‘horrible’ new badge is revealed

INTER MILAN have become the latest club to undertake a controversial redesign of their badge – with fans fuming. On Tuesday, the Serie A leaders unveiled their new blue and black offering which disposed of the gold design worn for over a decade.

Fans were dismayed by the end of the gold design featured since 2007Credit: EPA
A clip featuring stars such as Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez posing around the city of Milan accompanied the release.
The new badge is based around the ‘I M’ concept of the club’s initials, with phrases such as ‘I M Victory’ and ‘I M Timeless’ appearing in the video.
The club are moving to a new modern approach which includes changing their name from “Football Club Internazionale Milano” to simply “Inter Milano”.
A number of Italian supporters were against ditching the ‘FC’ element, despite the team largely only referred to as Inter Milan abroad.
And there was also anger at the design itself.
Plenty of clubs have attempted to modernise their badge in recent years, such as Everton and Atletico Madrid, only to be met with fan anger.
Despite some encouragement, the Nerazzurri response was similar with some even threatening to boycott new shirts bearing the badge.
One Inter account commented: “That badge does not represent Football Club Internazionale Milano. There is no Inter Milan. I don’t recognise that badge, which is horrible, nor will I buy shirts with that shame on them.”
Daineil replied: “Why do modern rebrandings of badges always look like something I could’ve done on Microsoft PowerPoint at Primary school, looks trash.”

Kramer wrote: “The nice thing about this badge is that, statistically, in 7-8 years we’ll change it.”
Although one Inter supporter hit back: “These comments make me laugh. In 113 years we have changed so many badges, so I don’t understand the controversy. No name has changed. If you go to instagram you see it. In the description of the posts it says ‘IM FC INTERNAZIONALE MILANO’. The important things are elsewhere.”
And one cheeky rival tweeted: “Napoli fan here: I was jealous of your logo, it was probably the best crest in football. This one makes me feel good. Thank you Inter.”

Aaron Ramsey and Paulo Dybala ‘put up for sale by Juventus as Pirlo plans transfer clear-out including five top stars’

JUVENTUS are preparing for a summer clear out with five players up for sale, according to reports. The current Serie A champions are way off the pace in the table, ten points behind leaders AC Milan.

New boss Andrea Pirlo, who replaced Maurizio Sarri, looks destined to become the first Juve manager in ten seasons to fail in winning the league.
And as a result, the Italian legend is set to revamp his side and sell unwanted stars, the Daily Mail say.
Among those is ex-Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, 30, who joined on a free transfer in 2019.
Injuries have halted the Welshman’s momentum this season and leaves his future uncertain.
Similarly, Paulo Dybala’s time in Turin has also come under question, with the Argentine’s contract expiring next summer.
And the forward, 27, is not set to receive an extension, leaving Juve wanting to cash in now to prevent him leaving on a free.
Manchester United and Tottenham were both linked to Dybala in 2019, but he remained in Italy.
Brazilian Alex Sandro, 30, has been rated as one of the best left-backs in the world in recent years.

But now it is understood Juve are looking to replace him with a fresh alternative.
Robin Gosens, 26, of Atalanta has been linked in the past, also a target for Manchester City.
Adrien Rabiot, 25, and Rodrigo Bentancur, 23, are also both said to be surplus to requirements with Pirlo plotting for a whole new midfield.
Speculation has linked Cristiano Ronaldo, 36, with a move back to both Real Madrid and Manchester United.
PSG are too also interested, but it is claimed Juve will try and tie down the Portugal captain to a new deal, with his current one expiring next summer.

Plenty of scouts are likely to have been watching the 21-year-old in action with as many as five teams ready to wrestle over his signature.
According to Calcio Mercato, Arsenal are joined by Roma, RB Leipzig, Atletico Madrid and AC Milan in monitoring Vlahovic.
The Gunners are set to continue their squad overhaul at the end of the season with high-earning fringe players such as Mesut Ozil and Shkodran Mustafi already cut.
Fresh attacking talent may be a top priority with Martin Odegaard set to leave when his loan ends, and Nabil Fekir is another player linked.
Vlahovic signed for Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in 2018 and emerged as a leading light under Cesare Prandelli this season.
The Italian coach’s recent exit from the club, citing personal difficulties with managing the role, came after huge praise from his star forward.

Vlahovic explained: “I’ve said many times that I cannot describe with words what I owe to Prandelli. He arrived when I was in a bad period of form, he gave me confidence and I must repay his faith in me.”
Before his resignation, Prandelli heaped praise on the youngster.
The 63-year-old said: “This is the most delicate moment of Dusan’s career, because people expect things from him now.
“He has to keep it simple and focus on the basics.
“He’s certainly motivated, I practically have to push him off the pitch, as he would like to stay there for hours. I think it’s the kind of pressure he can deal with.”
Former Fiorentina star Valeri Bojinov has been impressed by Vlahovic for many years, and claimed the player previously likened himself to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Arsenal have the easiest run-in based on the league position of their final nine opponents

The ex-striker told Transfermarkt, via Football Italia: “I told [then-Fiorentina chief Pantaleo] Corvino to sign Vlahovic when he was 15 or 16.
“Vlahovic was crazy, really crazy. He used to tell me, ‘I am a Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Belgrade, I will play for the strongest clubs’.
“I liked his arrogance. I thought he would become a strong player.”

Watch Didier Drogba’s son Isaac, 20, score first professional goal for Folgore Caratese in Italy’s Serie D

ISAAC DROGBA – the son of former Chelsea star Didier – has scored his first professional goal. The 20-year-old scored the winner for Folgore Caratese in their 1-0 Serie D victory against Caronnese.

Isaac Drogba slots home from close range
The 20-year-old celebrates his first professional goal
Drogba was on the end of a set piece, calmly slotting the ball home to give the fourth tier club all three points.
It is a promising start to the youngster’s professional career, which has taken a while to get going.
Initially part of Chelsea’s academy, Drogba was released by the Blues in 2018.
He followed in his father’s footsteps by signing for Guingamp – the team where the 43-year-old scored 17 Ligue 1 goals in 2002-03.
But Drogba Jr was released last summer without making a single appearance, before he was given a chance to kick-start his career by the Italian minnows in February.
He went on to make his professional debut the same month.
If the youngster emulates just a fraction of what his old man did on the pitch, he’ll have some career.
The former Chelsea man enjoyed a stellar career, winning four Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2012.

But his son is a long way from the top.
Unlike England’s fourth tier – League Two – there are 166 teams in Serie D battling across nine sub-divisions.
The winners of each sub-division are promoted to Serie C, where 60 teams compete across three leagues.
If Drogba continues scoring, though, it won’t be long until bigger teams take notice.

Paulo Dybala and girlfriend Oriana Sabatini have controversial crotch lift video DELETED by TikTok

ARSENAL target Paulo Dybala and his girlfriend Oriana Sabatini have been censored by TikTok after attempting the viral one-arm lift challenge. The Juventus frontman made a hash of his bid to lift Oriana up in the air under her thigh as the couple’s two pet dogs Kaia and Bowen looked on.
Paulo Dybala made a mess of the controversial challenge
The model was nearly sent crashing into kitchen furniture by her boyfriend, touted as a potential replacement for on-loan Real Madrid player Martin Odegaard at Arsenal, in the pair’s attempts to emulate the online craze.
Oriana posted the footage of their botched lift on Instagram after complaining it had been removed by Tiktok censors for being unsuitable.
The footage showed the pretty brunette, also a singer and actress, grabbing at her crotch and yelling as she was flung forward in Paulo’s awkward attempt to elevate her using only his right forearm before they had another go which wasn’t filmed.
Oriana, who last March had to self-isolate with her footballer boyfriend after contracting coronavirus, posted the original TikTok video she later uploaded on Instagram with the message: “TikTok at it again. They erased this so it’s gone to Instagram.”
One of her 32,000 fans offered his advice about what the pair were doing wrong, saying: “The problem is that Paulo’s arm is in the wrong place.
“He’s trying to lift Oriana up with his wrist and needs to put his forearm further forward.”
Juventus are reportedly ready to consider bids for the Argentine international, who has only made 16 appearances for Juventus in all competitions this season.

Arsenal are said to be planning a move for the 27-year-old if manager Mikel Arteta is unable to keep Odegaard at the North London club.
Chelsea and Tottenham are also understood to be interested in luring Dybala away from his current club.
He will enter the final year of his contract in Turin this summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s dreadful Juventus free-kick record defended by No3 keeper who says ‘in training, they all go in’

CRISTIANO RONALDO’S dreadful Juventus free-kick record has been defended by the third-choice goalkeeper, who insists they ‘all go in’ during training. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner has scored a whopping 46 direct free-kicks during his illustrious career – including that belter against Portsmouth in 2008.

But his return since arriving at Juventus for £99million three years ago is dismal.
As reported by Marca, Opta stats show Ronaldo has scored just one direct free-kick from 72 attempts for the Old Lady.
That solo success came last July in the derby against Torino, his 43rd effort.
But Juventus’ No3 stopper Carlo Pinsoglio insists he is far more clinical on the training ground.
He told Tuttosport: “In training, they all go in.
“Why doesn’t he score them in a match? I don’t know, obviously in a match it’s different than in training, but I don’t know. Bad luck maybe.”
Pinsoglio, 31, joined the youth ranks at Juventus in 2000 but has just three league appearances for the club to his name.
Despite the backseat role at Juventus behind Wojciech Szczesny and Gianluigi Buffon, he insists he has a great relationship with the superstar forward.

Manager Andrea Pirlo only pockets £1.6million-per-year after taking charge of the club

Pinsoglio added: “I have a beautiful friendship with him.
“My team-mates make fun of me saying that I’ll go to the Euros with the Portugal staff and Cristiano.
“Ronaldo is a simple guy, not a star, he’s quiet, he likes to laugh and joke.”
Ronaldo, 36, may not be hitting the right notes with free-kicks at Juventus – but has still managed 95 goals in just 123 appearances.
That includes 23 goals in 24 Serie A games this term.
But there remains serious doubt over the Portuguese forward’s future.
Another failure in the Champions League, league struggles and the financial hit of coronavirus has led to speculation of a transfer away – with a stunning return to Real Madrid on the cards.
