Juventus line up Antoine Griezmann to replace Cristiano Ronaldo as Man Utd plot transfer for former star

JUVENTUS are lining up a bid for Antoine Griezmann to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.Ronaldo, 36, has been strongly linked with a move away from Turin in the coming months, with Manchester United circling.

Juventus could lose Cristiano Ronaldo in the coming monthsCredit: AFP
Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘wouldn’t hesitate’ to bring CR7 back, if club chiefs can make the finances work.
Juve bigwigs know that a Ronaldo departure could be in the offing, and are planning for such a scenario.
And according to Spanish paper Sport, the Italian giants are plotting a move for Barca’s No7 Griezmann.
The former Atletico Madrid star, 30, joined Barca for around £108million back in 2019, after a protracted pursuit from the Catalan side.
But things haven’t quite worked out as the Frenchman would have hoped.
The 2018 World Cup winner has scored 34 goals in 98 appearances for the club.
And Barca have failed to win LaLiga or the Champions League in either of his season, going through Ernesto Valverde, Quique Setien and Ronald Koeman in the process.
New club president Joan Laporta is hoping to raise valuable funds this summer, with the club finding themselves in significant debt.

Laporta is aiming to improve the squad with a series of free transfers – with Memphis Depay, Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia, David Alaba and Gianluigi Donnarumma all soon to be out of contract targets.
As for Juventus, Andrea Pirlo has struggled in his first season as a coach.
The Old Lady currently sit fifth in the Serie A table with one game remaining – a point behind the Champions League positions.
And if they fail to qualify for Europe’s elite competition, Ronaldo will almost certainly depart.
But it could also have a dire effect on replacing the Portuguese, with Griezmann significantly more likely to accept a move if they can finish in the top four.

How Man Utd could line up next season with Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo and Declan Rice as they target FIVE transfers

MANCHESTER UNITED are expected to spend big this summer as they look to bridge the gap on champions Manchester City.Harry Kane, Cristiano Ronaldo and Declan Rice have all been heavily linked with moves but they are just three of FIVE big names on United’s radar.
Man Utd are being linked with some of Europe’s biggest stars
LaLiga stars Raphael Varane and Kieran Trippier are also said to be appealing to the Red Devils with fans hoping club chiefs will back Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Having told Tottenham he wants to leave many have suggested Kane could be the missing piece of the jigsaw as United look to win their first Prem title since 2013.
The Tottenham star, 27, has told the club that he wants a summer move to finally bag some major silverware.
Manchester City and Chelsea have been linked with a bid, along with United.
The Athletic report on enquiries for the striker landing from both Manchester clubs as they gauge the likelihood of a deal.
SunSport revealed this week that both teams are willing to put an £80million, five-year contract on the table if a bid is accepted.
Tottenham are said to have not completely dismissed selling Kane with a fee of £120million thought to be enough to secure his services.
But United are also said to be considering throwing Anthony Martial or Jesse Lingard in as part of a swap deal.
BETTING SPECIAL – GET 25/1 ON SALAH TO SCORE AGAINST CRYSTAL PALACE

Juventus superstar Ronaldo is also being linked with an emotional return to Old Trafford with United staff said to be monitoring the situation.
Solskjaer is also said to have got in touch with his former team-mate about a potential move.
Ronnie’s future hangs in the balance and with Juve on the brink of failing to qualify for the Champions League an exit could be on the cards.
West Ham ace Rice is said to have asked Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw what life at Old Trafford is like with the England ace said to be United’s No 1 target at holding midfield.
But the Reds are unlikely to swoop if Paul Pogba stays and Rice is also very settled at West Ham with the Irons on the brink of Europa League qualification.
United are also said to have stepped up their interest in Atletico Madrid ace Trippier as back up for Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
According to The Athletic, Tripper ‘is minded to return to England in the summer’.
The 30-year-old is almost certain to be picked by Gareth Southgate for England’s Euro 202 squad.
And Trippier could also end up with a LaLiga winners medal next week.
Atletico are desperate to keep Trippier and want to offer him a new contract, as his existing one expires next summer.
But the former Spurs and Burnley man appears keen on a Premier League return.
Trippier’s LaLiga colleague Varane is edging closer to the exit door at Real Madrid after refusing to commit his long term future to the club.
World Cup winner Varane has just a year left on his contract at the Bernabeu and has yet to agree new terms.
It could force the cash-strapped side to sell this summer or risk losing him for nothing.
With a market value of around £61million, Los Blancos know his fee will help ease financial woes caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
United have been linked with the Frenchman for months and are in the market for a star to partner Maguire.

Hakim Ziyech ‘would have run’ to join Roma and only completed Chelsea transfer after Serie A club refused to pay up

CHELSEA star Hakim Ziyech was keen to move to Roma before sealing his Stamford Bridge switch last summer, it has been revealed.Morocco team-mate Medhi Benatia claimed that the attacker ‘would have run’ to the Italian capital when a move was discussed in 2019.

At the time, Ziyech was off the back of a stunning run to the Champions League semi-finals with an Ajax team being poached by Europe’s biggest clubs.
He ended up remaining in Amsterdam for another 12 months before a £36.5million move to Chelsea.
The 28-year-old star has made 38 appearances this term for the West London side, finding the net six times, and is currently looking forward to next week’s Champions League final against Manchester City.
Although things could have worked out very different had then-Roma president James Pallotta agreed to fork out for the playmaker, according to Benatia.
The former Roma defender, now with Al-Duhail, told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “I had tried to get him to come to Roma, and he would have run to join this club.
“I spoke to Francesco Totti and Edin Dzeko, telling them that this is the man they want.
“As a director, Francesco did everything he could to get the deal concluded, but Pallotta said it would be ‘an excessive expense’ and nothing ever came of it.”
Club legend Totti would famously quit the Stadio Olimpico later in the same summer, citing a lack of influence on transfers.

He famously complained upon leaving: “They knew of my desire to offer a lot to this squad but they never wanted it.
“They kept me out of everything. It’s a day that I hoped never would have come.”
Unpopular owner Pallotta eventually sold up to fellow American businessman Dan Friedkin last year after almost a decade in charge of Roma.

Watch as Cristiano Ronaldo is ‘robbed’ of insane backheel assist in Juventus’ Coppa Italia win over Atalanta

CRISTIANO RONALDO was robbed of a superb backheel assist last night, during his side’s 2-1 Coppa Italia final triumph over Atalanta. With the score level at 1-1 on the hour mark, Giorgio Chiellini clipped the ball down the line and into the penalty area.

CR7 helped Juve to cup gloryCredit: Reuters
Composed as ever, Ronaldo produced a first-time flick, perfectly backheeling the ball into the path of Federico Chiesa.
But the Italian fluffed his lines, taking a touch before striking the post.
It didn’t faze him, however, as he soon made amends.
In the 73rd minute, it was Dejan Kulusevski’s turn to produce a brilliant pass for Chiesa in the penalty area.
And this time, the 23-year-old made no mistake.
After taking a touch with his right foot to set himself, Chiesa then rolled the ball under the onrushing goalkeeper with his left.
The strike would be Juventus’ winner, sparking wild celebrations.
Cristiano and Co shook off the misery of what’s been a dire season for Juve, beaming ear-to-ear as they bounced around the dressing room.

The 36-year-old could play his final game for the club on Sunday, however, as rumours circulate around his future.
Even his mother Dolores has revealed that she will try and convince her boy to return to Sporting Lisbon.
If it is to be CR7’s last game for Juve, he will hope to at least sign off by helping them into the top four.
Andrea Pirlo’s men currently sit in fifth, one point behind both AC Milan and Napoli.
Juve travel to Bologna for their crunch clash, while Milan have a tricky assignment at second-placed Atalanta.
Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli, meanwhile, host mid-table Verona.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s amazing car collection worth £17m after splashing out on a limited edition Ferrari Monza worth £1.4m

CRISTIANO RONALDO has not let coronavirus dampen his love of cars. The Juventus superstar, who reportedly splurged £8.5million on a limited edition Bugatti Centodieci – of which only ten have been made, has added another addition to his incredible car collection.
Ronaldo is believed to be one of 10 people lucky enough to buy the incredible Bugatti Centodieci, which costs £8.5m

Ronaldo has reportedly spent £1.4m on an amazing Ferrari MonzaCredit: Alamy
Ronaldo, 36, was spotted taking a tour of Ferrari’s Maranello company, where he posed for a picture with a F1 car and ordered himself a Ferrari Monza worth £1.4million.
That puts his car collection now at a staggering £17million – with Bugattis being his favourite.
Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo has a Bugatti Chiron and a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse as part of his huge hoard.
He has ‘CR7’ embroidered on the headrests of his other two Bugattis and recently fuelled speculation he is set to leave Juventus by loading the luxury motors onto a lorry and having them shipped to Spain.
This latest model he bought is believed to be a tribute to the legendary Bugatti EB110 – Centodieci is Italian for 110.
The Centodieci boasts an 8 litre W16 engine, with special models having 1600hp – some 100hp more than the Chiron and, overall, three times the price of that model.
It can do 0-62mph in just 2.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 236mph.
The Portuguese superstar has supercars likes Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Rolls Royces, admitting to Piers Morgan in an interview he likes to have two of everything.

Join SunSport in revelling in just some of Ronaldo’s collection that a £500,000-per-week salary affords.MERCEDES G-WAGON BRABUS, £600,000
What do you buy your boyfriend if he has everything?
    Well if you’re Georgina Rodriguez you get a massive, gift-wrapped Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
The gorgeous former shop assistant made sure CR7’s had the best 35th birthday ever – gifting him a stunning Mercedes G Wagon Brabus that can cost as much £600,000.
And the brilliant SUV can reach top speeds of 137mph.

    BUGATTI CHIRON, £2.15MILLION
In 2017, Ronaldo’s need for speed saw the mercurial forward splash the cash on a stunning silver Bugatti Chiron.
Incredibly, it can reach speeds of 260 mph, and does 0-60 in just under 2.5 seconds, not that Turin will allow him the opportunity to drive it that fast with the city’s busy traffic.
As we said, he likes two of everything – and this was the second Bugatti he bought, although he has denied buying a third  – the Bugatti La Voiture Noire – which was reckoned to be the most expensive car in the world EVER at £9.49million, and was snapped up by a mystery buyer last year.

    BUGATTI VEYRON, £1.7M
Only 450 Veyron 16.4 Grand Sports were built, so of course Ronaldo wanted a slice of that rarity pie.
It cost him £1.7m, and will only increase in value as the years go by.
The Portuguese legend bought the car as a treat after winning Euro 2016 with his country.
In terms of performance, it does 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds, and has an outer skin completely made of carbon fibre.

    LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR, £260,040
Simply because a Bugatti Veyron won’t fulfil Ronaldo’s love of fast cars, in the same year he bought that motor he splashed on a Lamborghini Aventador.
Made in 2011, it’s the most celebrated model by the Italian car designer – and owned by footballers all over the world, not scared of the outlandish price.
Ronaldo celebrated his purchase on Instagram in 2016, with a picture with the caption: “Bom dia (good morning)”.

    ROLLS ROYCE CULLINAN, FROM £330,000
Last year Ronaldo added a Cullinan to his collection, having previously owned a Rolls Royce Phantom worth around £363,000.
Showing his loyalty to his new employers, CR7 even personalised the interior with black and white leather.
Standing at five metres long, the Cullinan boasts a V12 engine and a horse power of 571.
It is the only SUV Rolls Royce have ever produced.

    CHEVROLET CAMARO, £35,000
Maybe he learned something from Sir Alex Ferguson about American cars, after all the former Manchester United boss drove a Chevrolet to training when he was Red Devils manager.
A more economic motor than others in his garage, the Camaro has a 6.2-litre V8 engine that delivers 453 horsepower.
It’s cheaper than anything else he owns, and was bought in 2016 as a family car.

    FERRARI F12 TDF, £350,000
In 2017, Ronaldo bought an F12 TDF – another collector’s item with only 799 made in the world.
It is certainly one of the favourites he owns, and is zippy with a top speed of 211 mph, and capable of doing 0-62 in 2.9 seconds.
Needless to say, pet-friendly Ronaldo won’t let his pooches in though.

    RANGE ROVER SPORT, £100,000
A staple for every footballers’ garage, the Range Rover Sport is the ultimate SUV for the rich and famous.
The model that Ronaldo drives is, of course, is the special edition, SVR.
It’s Ronaldo’s go-to motor when he drives to the Continassa training ground in Turin.

    MERCEDES AMG GLE 63, £127,000
In 2016 Ronaldo filled his garage with supercar after supercar.
His AMG GLE 63 was a gift to himself for Christmas, and some present it is.
The SUV has a 612 horse power engine, and it can reach a top speed of 155 mph.

    MCLAREN SENNA, £1MILLION
A car made as a dedication to the legendary Brazilian racing driver Ayrton Senna, it would’ve set Ronaldo back around £1million – with only 500 models ever made.
So enamoured by its performance on Top Gear, former presenter Jeremy Clarkson said of the McLaren Senna it has ‘rewritten the supercar rule book’.
Powered by a twin-turbo charged V8 engine that produces 800 horse power, it can hit 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds.
Mikka Hakinen is another sports star who owns one of these beauties.

    BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT, FROM £151,000
Ronaldo is believed to have started collecting cars from around 2009, when he was a Manchester United star.
He had a penchant for Bentley Continental GTs in those early days, and collected several during his time at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo’s was the GT Speed model, which was naturally the most expensive version ever.
The interior was lush, filled with magnolia leather.
And because it was a convertible, Ronaldo was often spied with the roof down – even in rainy Manchester.

Liverpool ‘want Aaron Ramsey transfer and can land ex-Arsenal star for just £10m as Juventus look to lower wage bill’

LIVERPOOL are interested in signing Juventus star Aaron Ramsey for just £10million this summer, according to reports. The Welshman has been in and out of the team since joining the Italian giants from Arsenal back in 2019.
Aaron Ramsey could leave Juventus this summerCredit: Alamy
But he is currently out of favour under Andrea Pirlo, having failed to feature in their last five games.
According to Tutto Juve, Ramsey is ‘on Jurgen Klopp’s radar’, and could be available for a cut price.
Juve are claimed to initially want around £17m for the man they signed on a free transfer from the Gunners.
But they could accept an offer as low as £10m, as they desperately seek to cut their enormous wage bill.
Ramsey, 30, is believed to earn around £120,000-a-week – despite not being a key player in Turin.
The Wales star has two years remaining on his deal, with Juve eager to cut that short.
He did get his hands on the Coppa Italia trophy last night, however.
But he didn’t feature in either the semis or the final, instead watching on from the bench as his team-mates beat Atalanta.

Ramsey did manage to get involved in the dressing room celebrations though, as he toasted winning his third trophy in two seasons with the Old Lady.
He has made 65 appearances in that time, scoring only six goals and grabbing a further six assists.
Liverpool, meanwhile, could do with bolstering their midfield, with Georginio Wijnaldum appearing almost certain to leave on a free transfer, as Barcelona circle.

Afterwards, Cristiano Ronaldo and Co stripped down to their pants in the dressing room as they toasted their cup victory.
The delighted players bounced up and down as they marvelled at the golden trophy, while under-pressure Pirlo beamed ear-to-ear while clutching it.
Ronaldo, 36, made history – as this success means that he has now won every major competition he’s ever featured in while playing for Juve, Manchester United and Real Madrid.
He marked the occasion by stripping to a pair of tiny black undies and fist pumping the air.
Missing from that list is first club Sporting Lisbon – but that could change before the end of his career… if his mother Dolores has anything to do with it.
Ronaldo signed off the evening by posting a picture of himself appearing to sleep while holding the trophy in the early hours of this morning.

Juve had actually started the match on the back foot, as Atalanta looked confident early on.
But Dejan Kulusevski came back to haunt his former club, curling Juve into a scarcely deserved lead in the 31st minute.
The Swede put his finger to his lips as he celebrated, attempting to silence the critics as Juve stand on the verge of missing out on a place in next season’s Champions League.
Ruslan Malinovskiy had Atalanta level just ten minutes later, when he was awarded plenty of time and space to smash home from the edge of the box.
Federico Chiesa squandered a fantastic chance on the hour mark, striking the post after being put through by Ronaldo’s exquisite backheel.
But he made amends in the 73rd minute, notching what would turn out to be the winner with his left foot after being set up by Kulusevski’s pinpoint pass.
Absent from the celebrations was an abundance of alcohol – with Juve still having significant work to do on the final day of the Serie A season.
Going into Sunday’s clash with Bologna, Pirlo’s side sit fifth – a point back from Napoli and AC Milan.

    THANKS FOR JOINING US
That’s all from us tonight as Juventus sealed a record extending FOURTEENTH Coppa Italia triumph.
Dejan Kulusevski opened the scoring for Juventus after half an hour with an expert curling effort, before Ruslan Malinovskiy levelled things up ten minutes later with a thunderbolt from eighteen yards.
Juventus came out after the break the better of the two sides and almost took the lead, with Federico Chiesa striking the post after a wonderful back-heel from Cristiano Ronaldo.
Chiesa made amends ten minutes later though, collecting a through ball from Dejan Kulusevski and firing past Pierluigi Gollini with fifteen minutes left to play.
Atalanta never really looked like scoring after that and Juventus easily saw out the ninety minutes to win a fifth Coppa Italia in seven years.
Attention for Andrea Pirlo’s side now turns to Sunday’s Serie A finale at Bologna, with the Old Lady still in with a shout of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Atalanta meanwhile host AC Milan knowing a win would seal a second place finish in the league and secure Champions League football.
