CRISTIANO RONALDO has been snubbed for Serie A Player of the Season with Romelu Lukaku taking the award… despite being top scorer.Ronaldo’s 29 Serie A goals were not enough to edge out Lukaku when it came to the gong, but the pair did both secure moves back to the Premier League.

Lukaku received the award on Monday, which once again prompted him to hail the Inter Milan faithful.
He told AIC on accepting his award: “The club [Inter] always backed us and so did the fans who I want to thank.”
The Belgian forward played a vital role in Antonio Conte’s title winning side last season, scoring 24 goals in 36 appearances.
While the 28-year-old’s impact cannot be underestimated it was 37-year-old Ronaldo who finished as the league’s top scorer with 29, five goals ahead of his Belgian rival.
