Ronaldo was apart of the United team which fell to a crushing 4-0 defeat to Brentford on Saturday.
An early error from the experienced David de Gea sucked all belief out of Erik ten Hag’s squad, before De Gea gifted another goal to The Bees when he passed the ball to an under pressure Christian Eriksen.
Two more goals followed swiftly after, with the rout being completed within 35 minutes following a stunning counter-attack from Brentford.
Dutch coach Ten Hag made three changes at half-time to try and engineer a comeback, to no avail, with the fallout after the game causing a HEATED debate between Gary Neville and Jamie Redknapp.

Ronaldo, 37, continues to be linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford this summer.
He sat down for showdown talks with new boss Erik ten Hag and agent Jorge Mendes when he returned to Carrington last month.
Ronaldo wants to play Champions League football and compete for the top honours in the game – something not currently on offer with the shambles at United.
According to reporter Tancredi Palmeri, the forward’s name was put to the two San Siro clubs.

However, he adds neither side were willing to explore the possibility of landing the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Inter boast Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko as strikers while Serie A champs AC have Ante Rebic, Olivier Giroud, Divock Origi and, when he returns from surgery, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Moves to Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Sporting Lisbon and Corinthians have all been reported but not come to fruition for Ronaldo this summer.
And so after being brought back in to start in the humiliation at Brentford on Saturday – with less than three weeks of the window remaining – it looks like he may be staying put after all.

The Portugal captain was visibly furious with goalkeeper David de Gea after his pair of calamitous howlers to gift Brentford an early 2-0 lead.
And his mood was no better come full-time as he stormed down the tunnel, ignoring the away fans and Ten Hag.
The manager this week claimed Ronaldo has not actually told the club he wants to quit – but the hammering in West London will not have helped the situation at all. More

The Bologna striker was wanted by Erik ten Hag, owing to the time they had spent together at FC Twente, as a short-term option to solve a problem in the forward department.
When asked about the links during a press conference on Saturday, Arnautovic said: “The market is the market.
“I’ve been in the world of football for many years and I know there could be clubs interested during the transfer window.
“But now I am focused on Bologna.”

United have struggled in midfield for a long time, with Fred and Scott McTominay proving not to be up to standard – with the most recent evidence of this coming in the recent defeat to Brighton.
United looked set to remedy this at the start of summer with the addition of Frenkie de Jong, and agreed a fee with Barcelona to reunite him with Erik ten Hag.
But De Jong’s reluctance to leave has forced United to look elsewhere, and despite his stats proving him to be WORSE than both Fred and McTominay, United’s recruitment team have landed on Rabiot.
United could yet miss out on him however, with Rabiot’s reported contract demands of £8.5m a year delaying a deal. More

Another added: “Class haircut that, fair play.”
Pogba is now looking to make a statement on the pitch following his return to Juventus.
But disaster struck just weeks after his return when he suffered a sprain in pre-season training.
It turned out to be a lesion of the lateral meniscus in his right knee.
And Pogba is now set for a spell on the sidelines as he considers treatment.
But the ace will NOT be going under the knife, as that would have ruled him out for five months.
Such a lengthy time recovering would have spelled the end of Pogba’s World Cup dream in Qatar.

Serie A side Torino can transform the temporary deal into a permanent one if they pay a reported £15million next summer.
Vlasic leaves the London Stadium after signing for over £25m from CSKA Moscow in the summer of 2021.
Speaking after joining Torino, Vlasic said: “I work hard. On the pitch i always give 100 per cent. I can’t wait to get started.”
West Ham were reportedly due to pay the Russian club the second instalment of the original transfer fee this month.

But that has been thrown into doubt because of the sanctions imposed on Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.
The 39-cap Croatian international underwent a medical with Torino today before being unveiled by the club.
He follows Issa Diop out of the door in East London – the defender joining Fulham in a deal worth £15m yesterday.
Vlasic scored just one goal in 19 Premier League games for the Hammers.

But the attacker was starved of starts by boss David Moyes, doing so just six times in the league last season.
The Hammers are also reported to have submitted a bid for Paris Saint-Germain centre back Thilo Kehrer as they seek defensive reinforcements.
Nayef Aguerd joined for £30m from Rennes earlier this summer but is currently sidelined with an ankle injury.
And 25-year-old Germany international Kehrer has emerged as a target.

Hakim Ziyech ‘willing to take pay cut to seal AC Milan transfer’ as Italians prepare loan-to-buy bid for Chelsea winger

HAKIM ZIYECH is reportedly ready to accept a wage cut in order to seal a move to AC Milan. The 29-year-old is keen to leave Chelsea before the end of the transfer window.

AC Milan have been linked throughout the summer but a £30million investment on midfielder Charles De Ketelaere saw their transfer funds take a hit.
Although Ziyech’s willingness to cut his wages means the Serie A champions will now make the Blues an offer, according to Calciomercato.
The Moroccan winger earns a reported £100,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge – but is happy to take home less in order to secure a move.
And now the San Siro side want to loan Ziyech for the season, with the option to sign him permanently.
    Read More Chelsea News
Chelsea though are believed to want AC Milan to have the obligation to buy Ziyech if he is loaned out, which would see him ultimately moved on for good.
The Rossoneri though are not prepared to include an obligation to buy in the deal.

That stumbling block means Ziyech’s future is unlikely to be resolved until the closing days of the window.
AC Milan are claimed to be willing to wait until then, hoping Chelsea’s desperation to shift him will lead to them accepting the offer from the Italians.

The Blues remain desperate for him to go, with Ziyech listed alongside Timo Werner, Malang Sarr and Marcos Alonso earlier this week as players free to leave the club.
Werner and Sarr have already gone, with Alonso reportedly set to complete a £6.5million move to Barcelona this week.
So the Blues could find themselves caving to Milan’s demands if Ziyech is still on the books come the final days of the window.
Ziyech started just 14 Premier League games last season, and Raheem Sterling’s arrival this summer will only restrict his game time further.
The Moroccan ace was an unused sub in Chelsea’s 1-0 win at Everton on Saturday. More
