      We revealed in January that Forest boss Steve Cooper is a huge fan of Goldson, who made 61 appearances and scored four goals for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team this season.
      Rangers haven’t given up hope of convincing the stopper to extend his four-year stay in Glasgow, but the Dutch boss admitted earlier this month that there was only a ‘small chance’ Goldson would stay in Scotland.
      Now City Ground boss Cooper hopes the lure of featuring in the English top flight, which could earn the club £200million, will convince the Gers hero to head back south.
      Goldson featured three times in the Premier League in his final season with Brighton before swapping the south coast for Govan under then boss Steven Gerrard in 2018.
      He has been an almost ever-present since and made himself a fans’ favourite as he helped the club win the league for the first time in a decade.
      He was immense as he helped the Light Blues reach the Europa League final and lift a first Scottish Cup since 2009.
      He has been offered a new deal with Van Bronckhorst’s side, but that final win looks to be Goldson’s leaving present to the Rangers fans following an impressive stint in Scotland.
      Should the stopper decide his future lies with Forest, he might replace ex-Ibrox team-mate Joe Worrall.

      The English defender has plenty of admirers after helping them reach the promised land of the Premier League for the first time since 1999.
      Former Celtic gaffer Brendan Rodgers is an admirer of the 25-year-old who had a loan spell at Gers in 2018.
      West Ham are also believed to be interested in the former England Under-21 international.
      But Worrall could yet decide to stay with the club and link up again with Goldson.
      Scotland defender Scott McKenna – who Goldson faced at Aberdeen – would also compete for a starting spot next season.

      The former Gers keeper started to feel unwell around seven weeks ago and was struggling to eat and drink and thought he was suffering from Heartburn.
      He ignored the symptoms and only sought medical help when the pain became unbearable and he lost weight.
      His GP told him to attend a local hospital before he was transferred to Wishaw General the following morning.
      Goram, who also played for Hibs, only realised things were serious when he was told to take a family member with him.
      He told the Daily Record: “I’ll fight like I’ve never fought before.“I thought I had severe indigestion. It was as though my gullet was blocked. After a few weeks, it got worse and nothing was getting through.
      “Everything I ate or drank didn’t get halfway to my stomach and I threw it back up.
      “I couldn’t get a face-to-face with my GP for two weeks, by which time I was in total agony. I’d also lost 4 stone in four weeks.”
      “I had a CT scan at Monklands, then was rushed to Wishaw General and told my next of kin should be with me.

      “That is when the alarm bells started ringing. I realised I had cancer.”
      He was diagnosed with Level 4 oesophageal cancer.
      The illness has spread to his liver, right lung, three vertebrae and ribs.
      Symptoms include difficulty swallowing, heartburn and indigestion.
      His son, Danny, was with him when doctors broke the news of his terminal illness.
      The nine-in-a-row hero added: “The surgeon explained where all the cancer was and it was inoperable. Danny broke down while I was trying to assess the situation.
      “The word ‘inoperable’ hit me hard. I knew I was in for a fight.”
      The specialist predicted Goram had about six months to live – and nine if he underwent chemo.
      However, he quickly dismissed the treatment option after witnessing how ill it made his ex-wife Miriam, who battled cancer last year.
      He added: “I’ve been told by the doc, ‘Go enjoy your everyday life and be as normal as possible.
      “My pain is manageable. I can still go see friends and still be myself.
      “I’ll be here as long as I possibly can.
      “The only difference is the timebomb is ticking away.”

      But a message from the loanee on social media confirms the curtain has now been called on his time at Ibrox.
      Diallo wrote: “Thanks guys it was a pleasure to be part of your beautiful trip…wish you all the best.”

      As things stand Diallo is going back to Old Trafford to fight for his place under new boss Erik Ten Haag.

      He revealed: “When Celtic let Andy go he came to me for a chat. He was a bit distressed about it all.
      “I told him that, whilst it might have felt like it, it wasn’t necessarily the end of the world.
      “At the same time I had a word with somebody at the golf club who was involved at Queen’s Park.
      “I dropped a hint that Andy had been released by Celtic and that they should maybe take a look at him.”

      Robertson spent the next three years playing with the Hampden club’s youth team and was even given a job in the club’s office fielding ticket enquiries.
      By 2012 he had signed for Scottish Premiership side Dundee United before a year later joining Hull City for £2.85million.
      Klopp beat then-Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to grab him for an initial £8m in 2017 and his rise to stardom had really begun.
      He still returns to Cathcart Castle and head pro Stephen Duncan said: “It was decided last year to grant him honorary membership because we are all so proud of the little lad who played here.

      “Me and him always had a bit of banter in the pro shop because he was a Celtic boy and I’m a big Rangers fan — he’s always been up for a bit of that.
      “When he comes back it’s just like the old times but while he’s achieved so much in football, he’s still the same Andy Robertson.

      Rangers loanee Aaron Ramsey ‘set for contract termination’ at Juventus according to Italian reports

      JUVENTUS are set to terminate Aaron Ramsey’s £400,000 a week contract upon his return from loan.That’s according to Italian publication TuttoSport, who say the Welshman’s arrival back from Rangers will see the end of his time in Turin.

      Boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst admitted following that crushing loss that Ramsey had been ‘very down.’
      While the Juventus loanee hasn’t been able to make the impact he might’ve wanted or expected to at Ibrox, he did at least manage to sign off with a trophy.
      Ramsey was an unused sub as Rangers won the Scottish Cup for the first time since 2009 with a 2-0 extra time win over Hearts at Hampden.
      While the Welshman didn’t get on the pitch, it was what he did AFTER the game that caught the attention.
      All the usual formalities were in place as the players received their medals.
      Hearts went up to collect their runners-up prizes, followed by Willie Collum and his team of officials.
      Then, it was the turn of Gers skipper James Tavernier to hoist the famous old trophy aloft to a rapturous reception from the Light Blues support.
      Then came the usual process of the cup being handed around the rest of the squad to show it off to the fans and get their own cheer.

      At least that’s what happened until it came to the last man waiting on the podium – Ramsey.
      Leon Balogun held the cup up, passed it on to Allan McGregor who then did the same.
      The veteran goalie then turned to pass the trophy to Ramsey, but the Welshman REFUSED to take it.

      Instead, the former Arsenal man turned and made his way back down the famous Hampden stairs!
      The moment didn’t go unnoticed either, with several fans commenting on social media.
      Many seemed to think the events from Wednesday night were still playing on the midfielder’s mind.
      One fan said: “Felt sorry for Ramsey when he sheepishly refused to lift the cup up there. The move hasn’t worked out but he’s one of us now whether he comes back or not. All the best mate.”
      Another Gers supporter added: “Hurts my wee heart to see Ramsey not lift the cup, still love you.”
      A third said: “Feel bad for Ramsey. Offered to lift the cup by McGregor but refused.”
      The fans who felt sorry for Ramsey will, however, all have been relieved to see that he DID eventually get his hands on the cup!

      Once the players had made their way onto the field to go and see the fans, it seems the 31-year old was eventually convinced to have his moment!

      His future remains uncertain and nobody seems quite sure where he’ll be playing his football next season.
      Ramsey will, however, now be preparing for Wales’ World Cup play-off final at the start of next month, which could of course be against Scotland.
