But before a single score had been registered, Hart took a horrific blow to the head while making a save.
Pouncing on a ball just six yards out from the net, Celtic ace Hart was brutally booted by Dundee’s Steven Fletcher.
The striker was also trying to get the ball, which was up for grabs.
But Fletcher instead studded Hart in the head by mistake while stretching for a shot.

Incredibly, Hart still made the save with his finger tips.
But the former Manchester City and England star was left with blood pouring from the point of contact.
Medics rushed on before attempting to stop the flow with bandages and towels.
Staples were then used to patch Hart up during a seven-minute stoppage before the stopper bravely continued playing while wearing a new shirt.

Celtic fans were thrilled with his actions, with one tweeting: “I love Joe Hart. That’s a sore one and he put himself right in there to take it.”
Another said: “Brave goalkeeping from Joe Hart. Great save then took a sore one”.
One added: “What a trooper. Just when I thought I couldn’t love him anymore he’s playing on after that. THERE’S ONLY ONE JOE HART!”
But if fans liked Hart’s bravery, they certainly enjoyed the scoreline even more.
Kyogo Furuhashi and Liel Abada each netted a hat-trick in the league thrashing.
Jota, Carl Starfelt and Josip Juranovic also scored as Celtic secured the biggest away win in Scottish football history – breaking the previous record which had stood for 34 years.

O’Riley, 21, helped Ange Postecoglou’s side win the Scottish Premiership title last term, and gained many admirers in the process.
According to ESPN, Arsenal and Man United are among a gaggle of clubs that could make a bid for O’Riley before Thursday’s transfer deadline.
They add that an offer between £15m and £20m could tempt the Hoops into selling.
Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are also interested in O’Riley, who has four years remaining on his Celtic contract.

Should a team decide to go all out to sign O’Riley before the end of this month, ESPN reckon it’ll most likely be Newcastle or Leicester.

Dundee Utd 0 Celtic 9: Kyogo & Abada fire hat-tricks as Hoops blitz their way to a RECORD away league win at Tannadice

CELTIC continued their 100 per-cent start to the season with a total, full scale destruction of Dundee United at Tannadice.Kyogo and Liel Abada both scored hat-tricks as the Hoops recorded a quite unbelievable, record-setting NINE-NIL victory over Jack Ross’ beleaguered and battered men.

Ross made several changes as United looked for a first league win of the season.
Charlie Mulgrew, Aziz Behich, Jamie McGrath, Tony Watt and Craig Sibbald ALL found themselves on the bench as the Tangerines looked to freshen things up to spark an impact.
Celtic were able to welcome back Reo Hatate, while Carl Starfelt returned in place of Moritz Jenz to rekindle last season’s centre back pairing with Cameron Carter-Vickers that brought so much success.
There was no Giorgos Giakoumakis, with Ange Postecoglou confirming the in-form striker had been feeling unwell.
United came out of the traps quickly, and almost took an early lead.
Former Rangers man Glenn Middleton found a bit of space in the penalty area, and from a tight angle fired a superb effort across goal that Joe Hart saved brilliantly.
Steven Fletcher came sliding in as he looked to pounce on the rebound, but instead caught Hart on the head with his boot.
It was a nasty coming together and the Hoops no.1 required lengthy treatment as the medical team looked to stem the flow of blood coming from a head wound.
In the end, the 35-year old was able to continue after a seven-minute delay and a quick change of shirt.

Fletcher picked up a yellow card from ref Steven McLean, although the ex-Scotland striker will feel he was entitled to make the challenge.
Kyogo opened the scoring for the Hoops in each of their last three Premiership games – so it was little surprise when the Japanese talisman did it yet again here.
Liel Abada was back in the starting XI for Celtic, and it was his wonderful, threaded pass from the half way line that found Jota.
Jota, in turn, floated in a cross that found Kyogo, completely unmarked, on the edge of the box.
He had all the time in the world to steady his feet before firing into Carljohan Eriksson’s bottom right corner.

It was full control for the Hoops from that point on, and they nearly added a quickfire second.
Matt O’Riley was denied by an Eriksson save, before the Finland stopper was at his best to keep Reo Hatate out.
The midfielder saw two attempts blocked by some last ditch United defending, before his third strike was batted away by the ‘keeper.
The United goalie was in the thick of it again as the half-hour mark approached.
The Hoops unleashed a devastating breakaway from a United attack, with Kyogo feeding Abada who was denied by Eriksson.
United almost nabbed an equaliser out of nothing.
Scott McMann pressed brilliantly to nick the ball away from Josip Juranovic, with the ball following to the feet of Middleton.
He fired a powerful, low drive towards goal but it just went wide of Hart’s goal.
O’Riley had another go as half-time approached, but the midfielder’s curling effort turned away from goal and didn’t trouble Eriksson.
But the first half in the end was to be all about one man – Kyogo.
He added his – and Celtic’s second – on 40 minutes with a truly scintillating strike from outside the area.
25 yards from goal in a central area, the ball found its way to Kyogo who without a moment’s thought, curled a stunning, first time strike into the top corner.
Eriksson got a slight touch to it, but in truth, he was never going to keep out what was a goal of absolutely incredible quality.

There was still even more to come from the Celtic fans’ favourite who went and grabbed himself a first half hat trick.
United’s defence was completely sliced open by a brilliant O’Riley pass that sent Abada clear.
The Israeli international then had the simple task of playing the ball across goal where Kyogo – once again left all on his own – was waiting to blast into the empty net.

A sensational half for the Japanese striker who made it six goals in four games with his hat trick goal as the first half entered stoppage time.
Unfortunately for Dundee United, that wasn’t the end of the pain as the Hoops scored again before the whistle.
Once again, the backline was completely ripped apart as a phenomenal team move with some brilliant first touch football ended with O’Riley fizzing a tantalising cross across goal.
Kyogo wasn’t there this time, but instead Jota was there all by himself to take a touch and blast into what was another empty United goal.

Four goals to the good at the break, there was no let up into the second-half.
In fact, it was the exact opposite as Greg Taylor burst forward and fizzed an effort just wide as Celtic almost nabbed a fifth just three minutes into the second 45.
That was nothing more than an extremely brief reprieve for United, who did concede a fifth goal shortly after.
The Terrors defence was once again completely carved open and this time it was Abada who showed the desire and drive to get into the penalty area to finish off another sublime team move.

Goal number five was quickly followed by number six.
O’Riley saw a tame free-kick from the edge of the area easily blocked, but the ball broke to the man right next to him, Josip Juranovic.
The Croatian defender took a lovely touch to tee himself up before firing a driven, low effort below the unsighted Eriksson.
A sixth Celtic goal for Juranovic, but his first from open play.
There quite simply was zero let up, and United were all over the place and then some, although they did almost get a goal back when Fletcher hit the post.
Their defence was – yet again – absolutely nowhere to be seen as the Hoops carved them open once more to score a SEVENTH goal.
This time it was Hatate who was sent clear on the edge of the area, and he was able to coolly slot the ball across goal where Abada was once again waiting unmarked to score his second of the game.
Ange Postecoglou rang the changes immediately after, and one of the introduced players, David Turnbull, had a good chance for an eighth but this time Eriksson was there to make a save.

On 76 minutes, along came came goal number EIGHT and it was another super team move.
Subs Aaron Mooy and Daizen Maeda combined brilliantly, with the Japanese winger finding Abada at the back stick.
He controlled well before delightfully dinking the ball over Eriksson to make it 8-0.
    Number NINE soon followed.

A corner floated into the box picked out Carl Starfelt who sent the ball goalwards with an excellently controlled header.
It was a big goal that ensured a record-setting away league win for Celtic, bettering an 8-0 win over Hamilton and 9-1 triumph over Clyde.
Callum McGregor fizzed an effort inches wide as the Hoops looked to make the fans’ chants of “we want ten” a reality.
Ultimately the 10th didn’t come, but what a statement from the champions.
Next up – it’s Rangers next week.

PSV 0 Rangers 1: Antonio Colak the new Ibrox hero as he kickstarts Light Blues Champions League dream

ALFREDO MORELOS didn’t travel with the squad for tonight’s clash after a dramatic fallout with Giovanni van Bronckhorst.  But there’s a new Rangers hero after Antonio Colak’s goal sends his side through to the Champions’ League group stages for the first time since the 2010/11 season.
Rangers players celebrate Antonio Colak’s goalCredit: Getty
PSV fans did all they could before the match to prevent a Scottish party in Eindhoven tonight.
They tried to disturb the Rangers players’ sleeps last night by letting off fireworks outside their hotel.
And they even stopped the Gers team bus in its tracks on its way to the stadium as they hoped to disturb their preparation for the match.
But it wasn’t enough to put an end to the Euro resurgence under Van Bronckhorst as Rangers came out on top to win 3-2 on aggregate.
Both sides knew a whopping £40milion jackpot and a place in Europe’s most prestigious competition was on the cards for the winner of tonight’s tie.
And the Light Blues battled for 90 minutes to overcome their 2-2 stalemate at Ibrox last week as they held PSV at bay on Dutch soil.
They will now join Celtic in tomorrow’s group stage draw in Istanbul to find out their European fate and to see which European giants they will face up against in the coming months.
The absence of target man Morelos was the talking point before the match tonight after Van Bronckhorst left him out of the squad, leaving Colak as his only option up top.
    Most read in Sport
He put his faith in the Croatian hitman and it paid off as he added another goal to his Rangers tally.
And it won’t get any sweeter than his strike tonight.
Van Bronckhorst opted for a familiar back four, with Jon McLaughlin getting the nod between the sticks.
Borna Barisic, James Tavernier, Connor Goldson and James Sands lined up at the back.
Glen Kamara earned a surprise start in midfield alongside John Lundstram and Tom Lawrence.
Colak lead the line, supported by Ryan Kent and Malik Tillman on the wings.
It was an unchanged side for Ruud van Nistelrooy, who was confident in the players who held Rangers to a draw last week.
And it was his Dutch team who controlled possession early doors with Joey Veerman dictating the tempo in the middle of the park.
The 23-year-old came close to agreeing a deal with Rangers last summer, and he showed fans what they were missing out on as he controlled the Eredivise side’s midfield tonight.
It was the deadly duo Luuk De Jong and Man Utd target Cody Gakpo who came close for PSV in the opening few minutes though, but they couldn’t direct their efforts goalwards.
The Gers opted for an extremely high line at the back, allowing the likes of Gakpo and Ismael Saibari the space to run in behind.
But after weathering the early storm, it was Kent who burst onto the scene to create his side’s first real chance of the game.

On the 12th minute, the winger darted at Jordan Teze and Andre Ramalho as he cut in on his right foot for a shot, but it was well-saved by Walter Benitez.
Kent wasn’t done there though as he delivered a dangerous cross in for Colak just moments later, but the Croatian failed to get on the end of it.
The passages of play gave Rangers confidence as they started to grow into the tie.
By 20 minutes in, the roles had reversed and it was Van Bronckhorst’s men who looked the home team in the clash.
And Lundstram was nearly the man who broke the deadlock around the half hour mark as he fired a thunderbolt from outside the box towards Benitez, but it flew wide of the post.
At the other end of the park, teammate Sands nearly became the Ibrox villain as he gifted De Jong the ball from a goal-kick.
Luckily, defensive partner Goldson was there to step in and deny Gakpo though, after he was handed a clear-cut chance by the 38-cap international.
It didn’t take long for De Jong to have an even better chance after he was given the ball on a plate on the 39th minute.
Saibari whipped in a fantastic cross which beat both Sands and Goldson on the lunge, but fortunately for Rangers, De Jong wasn’t quick enough and it trickled away out of danger.
Teze then tried a similar chance, this time reaching the target man who beat Goldson, but McLaughlin was there to parry it clear.
The half-time whistle came at the perfect time for the Light Blues as PSV were on the attack yet again.
This time it was Gakpo who was played through by Erick Gutierrez, and the forward got the better of Goldson, but couldn’t keep his shot down as Rangers were let off with another chance.

Rangers were handed a huge boost after the break as De Jong was forced off through injury to be replaced by Xavi Simons.
The wonderkid is no stranger to a goal after netting two in two in the Dutch top flight since arriving at the club, but De Jong caused the visitors all sorts of bother in the first half.
Despite losing their key man, PSV started the second 45 just like the first.
    They were in control.
Lawrence showed them they couldn’t allow Rangers any space though, as the playmaker came ever so close to grabbing the opening goal.
He danced round the PSV defenders before having a pop from long range, which saw the ball smash off the crossbar and back into play.
But while it was Van Bronckhorst’s side’s best chance of the half, it wasn’t quite as good as their break of play moments later.
Tillman cleverly intercepted a goal-kick from Benitez as he tried to play the ball out from the back.
He snatched the ball off them in the box and picked out Colak who was free and waiting in the six-yard box for a cutback.
And the Croatian was able to smash it home into an empty net to fire Rangers ahead.
Van Bronckhorst would have been happy to see anyone find the net tonight, but it will have been extra special to see Colak being the hero as he stepped up to the plate in Morelos’ absence.
They were ahead on the night and in the tie, but it was far from over.
Phillip Max and Gakpo came close with chances, only to be denied by McLaughlin in the Rangers goal.
The Gers continued to batten up the hatches as the Dutch pushed more and more men forward.
But they couldn’t breakthrough the disciplined defence as Rangers saw out the final minutes to keep an important clean sheet, which fired them through to the group stages.

The Hoops daft punter turned the car into a shrine

The footage then pans round to the front of the car and shows the bonnet, which pays tribute to the club’s quadruple treble achievement between 2016 and 2020.
The back of the car also pays tribute to the two 9-in-a-row runs that the Parkhead side went on between 1966-1974 and then from 2012-2020.

Chelsea line up shock transfer swoop for Celtic right-back Josip Juranovic – with Man Utd also tracking £2.5m Croatian

CHELSEA are in line to seal a shock transfer swoop for Josip Juranovic. The Celtic star, 26, is being tracked by a number of clubs including Atletico Madrid and Manchester United with Chelsea now the latest to register their interest.

Juranovic would come into Thomas Tuchel’s squad to bolster the right-hand side of their defence.
Chelsea have seen a number of defenders depart the club this summer, most notably Antonio Ruidger and Andreas Christensen, while Levi Colwill recently secured a loan move to Brighton.
The Blues are also set to see the back of Marcos Alonso, with the Spaniard set to join Barcelona, although they managed to ward off the Spanish side’s interest in Cesar Azpilicueta.
The Croatian would cost Chelsea at least £15million according to 90min.

Juranovic would likely represent a far cheaper deal than the likes of Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries or Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters.
The aforementioned interest of Atletico and Man Utd could make a deal somewhat tricky to complete, but Chelsea have reportedly been putting in the ground work behind the scenes for some weeks.
Juranovic signed for Celtic in a £2.5m deal from Legia Warsaw last season, and enjoyed great success as Celtic reclaimed the Scottish Premiership ahead of rivals Rangers.
Chelsea have already spent nearly £170m on new players this summer, and could see their expenditure far exceed £200m if they agree a deal to sign £84m-rated Leicester defender Wesley Fofana.

Rangers and Celtic could be freed to join cross-border league by landmark ‘Bosman mark II’ legal case

CELTIC and Rangers could finally be handed the opportunity to move to a new cross-border league as a result of an upcoming court case in LUXEMBOURG.Luxembourg minnows FC Swift Hesperange have filed a lawsuit against UEFA and the Luxembourg Football Federation after being hampered in an attempt to join a cross-border league – and this could have a direct impact on both Celtic and Rangers.
The possibility of moving leagues has been the talk of the terraces for decadesCredit: kenny ramsay
The club have filed a claim with the Tribunal D’Arrondisement in Luxembourg insisting UEFA and their national FA are hampering their prospects of growth via ‘rules prohibiting clubs from creating and running transnational competitions’.
Should the case be successful the impact of the outcome could have a direct impact on both sides of the Old Firm and lead to them joining up with other leagues across the continent.
That’s the opinion of lawyer Jean-Louis Dupont who was one of the brains behind the renowned Bosman ruling.
Speaking on the case the Belgian Lawyer told the Daily Mail: “Swift and its sponsor, Leopard, are ambitious.
“The club had already complained publicly in the past regarding some FLF and UEFA rules – in particular, the homegrown players rules, that disadvantage the clubs from small countries.
“But their voice was not heard. They decided to make it heard in court.
“Celtic and Rangers are great clubs. But how much do they get for their media rights compared to the smallest (English) Premier League club?
“And this is the lack of domestic incomes that determines negatively their competitiveness on the European stage.
    Most read in Football
“Clubs will not “move”. But clubs from small countries would be entitled to produce their domestic football in a larger territory, in order to match the production power of the big leagues.”
In 2020, Aberdeen, Celtic, Hibs, Hearts and Rangers were informed of plans for a 20-team competition featuring clubs from Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the Republic of Ireland.
But these plans hit the buffers after Celtic chief Dermot Desmond stated that the Parkhead side weren’t interested.
Insisting that cross-border leagues are likely to come sooner rather than later, the man behind the Bosman ruling is convinced that clubs in Scotland, Holland and Scandinavia need to make the jump in order to become more competitive.
He believes that a successful challenge could have positive repercussions in the form of transnational leagues for teams like Celtic, Rangers and other giants from the continent.
He continued: ‘In my view, yes. But in an organised and clever manner, once the ECJ has decided all legal issues.
‘We will have an introductory hearing in the fall in the State Court of Luxembourg and it will be for this judge to decide if she/he refers the case to the ECJ.’
Pressed to put a timescale on the introduction of cross-border leagues he replied: ‘No. But sooner rather than later.’

Holding, 26, sings “do do do do do” while Tierney uses a trolley to make the same beat as the drummer at Parkhead.
The tune comes from the song Finder by German house DJ Ninetoes which was an Ibiza hit in 2013.
The duo also perform a bizarre wiggling dance as they are served food at the training ground cafeteria.

And he said he regrets that his tragic friends felt unable to share their personal anguish with him.
On leaving his family and friends to join the English Premier League giants, the Scotland star revealed: “It was hard to start with, I was really struggling.
“Really low point, homesickness was terrible to start with.
“Outside training you had a lot of time to think. I’m not saying I was ever in a bad, bad place where I was suicidal.
“But my friends have been. Two or three of them have committed suicide, lost their life.
