Salt Bae – real name Nusret Gokce – was seen snatching the Jules Rimet to perform his trademark sprinkle, biting a winner’s medal and pestering stars including Lionel Messi for a selfie.
The 39-year-old subsequently landed himself a ban from other major sporting events as Fifa launched its own investigation into how he was able to gatecrash the final.
Despite this, he was spotted in attendance at the Champions League final in his homeland of Turkey earlier this month.
And weeks after Manchester City’s Treble achievement, Foden was spotted posing for a picture alongside the viral chef.

The pair could be seen holding up three fingers together, gesturing the three trophies won by City, with Foden captioning the post: “Nice to see you my friend 🤝.”
However, fans rushed to the comments to warn Foden, 23, about a potential ulterior motive.

One fan quipped: “Surprised he didn’t rip the Champions League trophy out of your hands in Turkey!”
A second fan remarked: “Did he also touch the Champions League trophy?”

“He wants to carry the Champions League cup💀,” declared a third.
A fourth joked: “Now he is going to steal your Champions League medal.”
While another fan scoffed: “Did he charge you 69 grand to sprinkle salt over his fillet?”
Despite his less-than-glowing reputation among sports fans, Salt Bae defended his actions in Qatar, but admitted he was embarrassed by the incident.
In an interview with The Times, he said: “It was a combination of my love of Argentina and my excitement.
“I love Argentina, I’ve lived there. I went to support them. Many of [the team] have come to the restaurant. I didn’t feel a stranger.
“It was a special moment. I can’t do anything about the reason I was there, but I would never, ever step on the World Cup pitch again.
“There were two billion people watching the World Cup… how many people are speaking about me? Five billion. The whole world.
“I didn’t go on the pitch with the purpose of advertising, I just felt like it. Then it was a bit of a surprise.
“There were at least another 1,000 people on the pitch but when they show the video they make out it was just me.
“I never, ever wanted to overshadow anything. I didn’t like the attention. I didn’t kick anyone, steal anything.”
Salt Bae’s restaurant empire stretches across the globe, with his Nusr-Et chain in London once being the second most expensive place to eat in the world.
But many have slammed the food for being “overpriced”, with punters being charged £1,000 gold-plated steaks and $99 (£78) milkshakes.

This included food critics at his recently closed burger chain dubbed the “worst restaurant in New York City”.

Fans accuse Salt Bae of ‘stealing’ original World Cup trophy after Messi unknowingly lifted FAKE following Argentina win

FANS have accused pitch invader Salt Bae of ‘stealing’ the original World Cup trophy after it emerged that Messi lifted a replica in a record-breaking picture. This week it emerged that the footie star was actually holding a fake trophy that had made its way onto the pitch when he was snapped in Instagram’s most-liked picture.

The replica was created by Argentina fan, Paula Zuzulich, who hoped that the cup would be signed by the World Cup-winning players at the final.
However, there was some confusion over which trophy was the real deal before the team was finally reunited with the official cup.
Fans online have suggested that celeb-chaser chef Salt Bae was to blame for hogging the iconic golden trophy.
One fan said: “Salt Bae took the original trophy.”

And a fan tweeted a Salt Bae gif saying: “I know who has the real one!”
The celebrity chef, whose real name is Nusret Gökçe, sparked a Fifa probe when he somehow got himself in among the winning team and managed to get a selfie with Lionel Messi as he celebrated his team’s triumph.
But in the run-up, he was seen badgering the superstar and repeatedly grabbing his arm until the player relented and posed for a picture.

The chef was slammed on Twitter as “pathetic” for his attention-seeking antics, which were also described as the “cringiest thing ever”.
The fury continued after he posted pics on Instagram of him holding the 18-carat gold trophy, worth £17 million, a privilege reserved for the winning team and heads of state.
“You shouldn’t touch the Cup. You’re not a champion,” was one comment.
Another furious Instagram user said he was “unfollowing” the Turkish chef.
“You shouldn’t have touched that trophy only the players and staff who worked their asses off to become champions have that right.
    “You only want attention.”
Continuing the theme one post read “this is the time for players who have worked hard and not for celebrities to hang around and take selfies for their own promo”.
    FAKE TROPHY
Last month, Argentina won the World Cup in a fierce match with France that went down to the wire – eventually ending in a penalty shootout.
As captain of his country, Messi lifted the famous golden trophy aloft following his side’s thrilling win.
But just minutes later the real cup was removed from the pitch by Fifa officials, as is customary, unbeknownst to some of the players at the time.
A fake trophy made its way down to the pitch from fans in the crowd, with players including Messi posing with it for photos thinking it was the real thing.
The 35-year-old posted a series of snaps of himself with the trophy to Instagram, even though it was a fake.
And the post went on to become the most liked in the website’s history, overtaking the egg and gathering nearly 75million likes.
In another snap, Angel Di Maria can be seen noticing that the trophy is a fake by looking at the bottom of it.
According to El Pais, Argentina fans Manuel and Paula had the cup made before the tournament, with the sole purpose of trying to get players to sign it.
Explaining what happened, they said: “The idea was that the players could sign it, but in the end the Cup entered the field of play three times.
“The first one was taken by a relative of (Leandro) Paredes, and he signed it.
“The second time they asked us for it and it was 45 minutes, it went from one player to another, from one family member to another, and they took photos.
“In the stands they told me ‘you lost the Cup’. We had fun but we wanted him back.
“There I yelled at a couple of players ‘if you see the Cup that Paredes has, it’s ours’, and in the end Lautaro Martínez brought it, who also signed it.
“Fifa personnel came there and asked us to confirm that it was not the original.”
Among those to hold the trophy thinking it was real was Messi’s wife Antonela.

When Di Maria eventually pointed out to Messi that it was fake, the duo laughed together – showing no signs of irritation.
Photographer Fernando de la Orden captured many of the snaps – and even went to visit Manuel and Paula once back in Argentina – where the fake trophy resides today.

Salt Bae slammed for ‘lifting World Cup without playing a match’ after sharing another unrecognisable throwback photo

FAME hungry Salt Bae has been slammed for “lifting the World Cup without playing a match” after sharing another throwback photo. The celebrity chef has been under fire ever since he was accused of hijacking Argentina’s celebrations at the World Cup.

He shared a throwback photo from his childhood days looking unrecognisable without his trademark sunglasses and slicked-back ponytail.
The Turkish social media star – real name Nusret Gökçe – uploaded the snap to his Instagram.
The chef was pictured looking fresh-faced as a young boy without his signature props to hide behind.
Gökçe simply captioned the photo: “No salt no life.”

But Salt Bae’s World Cup antics have sparked relentless trolling from his followers – even on unrelated social media posts.
He faced a storm of criticism after badgering Lionel Messi and grabbing the trophy from Argentina players after the final.
One commented on the throwback picture: “Grew up to lift the World Cup without playing a match, legend.”
Another said: “No salt, better life, and do not get back to the World Cups.”

A third wrote: “The face you make when you need to ask Messi three times for a picture and he finally gives in to get you away from him.”
A fourth commented: “Next time don’t touch the World Cup and you won’t be banned.”
It comes after he was accused of chatting on his AirPods while serving customers a steak that cost them £500.
Gökçe was seen with his AirPods in as he carves up a steak tableside with his trademark swagger.
But an angry customer took to TikTok to complain – rating the internet star’s restaurant a dismal 1.7 out of 10.
Ehtisham Aziz shared the video – saying he paid £500 to have the musclebound butcher carve up his steak at his restaurant Nusr-Et in Doha, Qatar.
But he was left unimpressed when Salt Bae appeared disinterested as he seemed to be chatting to someone via his AirPods.
During the final in Qatar, footage showed the chef pestering the Argentina squad as they celebrated their World Cup glory with their families after the tense shootout.
In a series of videos posted on his own Instagram, he interrupted the likes of Angel di Maria, Cristian Romero and Lisandro Martinez as they posed with the World Cup trophy, leaving the trio looking awkward.
He was seen grabbing hold of Lionel Messi by the shoulder at least twice as the baffled megastar tried to shrug him off.
His persistence paid off as he finally got a selfie with the striker, hailed the greatest of all time.
The chef was also seen forcing himself into lineups with other stars as they clutched the famous golden trophy.
He has now been barred from attending The US Open Cup, the equivalent of England’s FA Cup.
Action will be taken against staff who allowed him access after social media footage showed his cringeworthy exchanges with players, who did their best to avoid Salt Bae.
Fifa is conducting an internal investigation to see how the chef got onto the pitch.
FIFA boss Gianni Infantino even unfollowed Salt Bae in the wake of his shameful antics.
The Turkish cook has courted a years-long friendship with Fifa president Infantino.
They have been pictured together several times, and the football chief has been gushing in his praise for the flamboyant Instagram star.

However the bromance seems to be over after he unfollowed Salt Bae on Instagram. More
