The footy-mad mother, pictured with her son and grandson, also revealed his management plansCredit: Instagram
She admitted she dreamed of seeing the Manchester United striker return to the club he began his iconic career at.
As well as discussing the life-threatening stroke she suffered last year, the star’s mother also appeared to rubbish reports she did not see eye-to-eye with his partner Georgina Rodriguez.
The footy-mad mum has also now declared that fans will get to see her 37-year-old superstar golden boy in action for another four years.
However, despite his memorable antics in the dug-out after coming off injured in the Euro 2016 final for Portugal, he appears to have no desire to step into management once he finally hangs up his boots.
The Madeira-based mum-of-four told presenter and comedian Guilherme Geirinhas: “I’ve already asked him if he wants to be a coach when he stops playing.

“He told me he wants to enjoy life. He’ll play until he’s 40.”
Dolores also discussed his relationship with Buenos Aires-born Georgina, 28.
She worked as an au pair in the UK before meeting and falling in love with her father-of-four footballer boyfriend after getting a job at a Madrid clothes store.
Appearing to rubbish reports that she doesn’t always see eye-to-eye with the stunning brunette,  Dolores said: “Yes, yes, she’s a good girl. Cristiano is an exemplary father but he has people to help.
“The children have nannies and they have staff who do a lot of things. Four kids are a lot of work. Georgina is a great support to Cristiano, no doubt about it.”
She also admitted on Sporting Lisbon podcast ADN de Leao she had yet to make a full recovery from the stroke she suffered in March last year at her home in the Madeiran capital Funchal after a battle with breast cancer.

Dolores was rushed to hospital for a life-saving op following the stroke, with her son jetting to see her from his then-home in Italy when he learned the news.
Dolores, who lives at a seven-storey apartment block overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Funchal which Cristiano purchased in 2019, revealed: “I don’t move my arm well, and as for speech, I stutter a lot. I notice my tongue sticking.
“I lost my sense of smell and taste. I can’t smell anything or taste it. Little by little I will recover, God willing.”
But in her bare-it-all interview she also insisted: “I adore football. If you invite me to dinner and there’s a match on, I won’t go to eat and and I’ll stay in and watch the game instead.
“Even if Ronaldo’s not playing, I’m always watching.”

Eddie Hall whacks YouTube star Nile Wilson after he volunteers to take punch from former World’s Strongest Man

And Wilson – a retired Olympic gymnast – was on hand to feel the full force of the Brit’s power.
    Hall, who stands 6ft 3in and 25STONE, completely dwarfed the 5ft 6in, 9st 4lb, ex-athlete.
Wilson attempted a punch of his own but it has no affect whatsoever on the super-heavyweight.
Hall, 34, said: “The thing is, mate, I train – with my training, I’ll hang on a bar and my training partner will smash me in the gut.
“Obviously, as you can see, I’ve also got a massive wall of thick muscle there.”
Later on, Hall lands a single jab to Wilson, who is wearing a body belt – but it still sent him flying.
Wilson, 26, said:  “My brain hit the back of my head.”
Hall then joked: “I think I might have actually knocked him out…”

Hall and ‘Thor’ Bjornsson are squaring off against each other in Dubai tonight in fight billed the ‘heaviest boxing match in history’.

Bjornsson, 33, boxed in a three-round exhibition bout in Dubai against Irish cruiserweight Steven Ward to prepare for the grudge match.
Both giants have dramatically transformed their bodies as they swap weight lifting for tireless punching.

Hall, who has been crowned UK’s Strongest Man six times, has weighed in at 22st 3lbs for his grudge fight following a stunning body transformation.
The pair were originally scheduled to face each other in September, only for Hall to suffer a detached bicep.
Injuries aren’t uncommon for Hall, with the 34-year-old recalling in 2019 the time that disaster struck while he was training legs in the gym.
Quoted by the Mirror, he said: “I piled a load of heavy weights on a leg-press machine and then heard a loud thud.

Speaking exclusively to SunSport, Hall labelled Thor as a “c***” as he insisted he will knock out his rival in their six-round exhibition bout.
He remarked: “Thor, for whatever reason, looks like a skinny dog on heat.
“For me, it’s just stupid. It’s supposed to be the heaviest boxing match in history, and he just looks ill.
“It’s not just me saying that, I see comments all over the place from people asking if he’s sick. That’s not me saying that, but the general public.
“I think he has genuinely got a problem with cardio. I don’t think he can sustain the full six rounds. I believe that’s why he’s lost so much weight. because his fitness levels are terrible.
“I’ve wanted an excuse to punch this man in the face for a long time. Where I’m from, if someone burns you, you bite their nose off.
“We had to get along for professional reasons whilst presenting Strongman shows, but this fight- this is real.

“I’m not a false person. I’m not two-faced. I hate Thor. And he hates me. We’re gonna settle this like men should settle things.
“This will not be left to the referee’s decision. This is either gonna be a knockout, or the fight will be stopped. More

But he wants £5million to do it.

Bizarre football injuries after Lampard breaks hand celebrating Everton goal including broken jaw from eating a carrot

Lampard told Prime Video he broke his hand in the Everton celebrations afterwards

Amid the chaos, Lamps took a whack to the left hand – it was shaking as he checked his watch in the final seconds.
And as he came on air to discuss the all-important three points, the ex-England midfielder was sporting a nasty bruise and lump.
He told Prime Video: “I’ve broken my hand in the celebrations. My bones must be going soft, I don’t remember the moment.
“I didn’t realise at the time but as the game carried on I was a bit sore and shaky.
“But I don’t care – I’ll take it for three points.”
Super Frank isn’t the first to suffer a nasty scrape. Here are some more of football’s most bizarre injuries…
    Rami Kaib
Last year, Swedish footballer Rami Kaib was ruled out of action for weeks after breaking his jaw eating a carrot.
Kaib had already taken a knock during a league match for Dutch side Heerenveen.
But then he sustained the shock blow when getting his veggies in. Omrop Fryslan reporter Roelof de Vries told RTV Noord: “Kaib got a big knock on his jaw during a game a while ago.
“He just continued training, and of course eating. “Well, he ate a carrot and that carrot was quite hard.” And then, crack – broken jaw. A carrot!”
Rami Kaib was out of action for a few weeks after his bizarre injury
    Frenkie De Jong
Last year, Frenkie De Jong suffered a bizarre injury that looked painful and threatened to leave him sidelined.
The Barcelona midfielder showed off a swollen hand in his side’s 3-1 win over Napoli in a Champions League tie.
According to reports, the ailment was the result of a nasty bee sting that caused the severe reaction.

    CHRIS SMALLING
Ex-Manchester United defender Chris Smalling was on holiday in Bali, when disaster struck.
After local reports claimed he was stung by a jellyfish while out surfing – the truth eventually came out, and it wasn’t as exciting.
He fainted in the hot heat and banged his head, hence the bandages.

    DAVE BEASANT
The Wimbledon FA Cup hero was at Chelsea when he suffered a hilarious foot injury.
The keeper dropped a bottle of salad cream in his kitchen and tried to control it with his bare foot.
The bottle ended up breaking and tearing a tendon in his big toe, causing Beasant to miss two months of football.
Clearly, he should’ve used his hands.

    RIO FERDINAND
The former Manchester United and England captain managed to strain his knee while at Leeds.
Ferdinand rested his leg for too long while playing a game of Pro Evolution Soccer on his PlayStation.
    We’ve all done it.
Rio Ferdinand suffered a leg injury while playing a video game
    DAVID BATTY
The ex-Leeds United enforcer had been out injured with a knee problem.
Then, his two-year-old daughter ran over him while on her tricycle – causing a setback to his ankle.
The hardman was crocked by a two-year-old, which must’ve taken some explaining to his team-mates.
David Batty’s daughter ran into him on her tricycle
    BRYAN ROBSON
Captain Dynamo was given the task of trying to wake mercurial star Paul Gascoigne from his slumber ahead of the 1990 World Cup.
Robson tried but couldn’t wake the midfielder, instead tipping the bed to push Gascoigne out.
Robson then dropped the bed onto his toe, breaking it.

    ENNER VALENCIA
The former West Ham forward didn’t impress Sam Allardyce with this injury.
Somehow, Enner Valencia managed to badly cut his toe after stepping on a broken cup.
The incident left ‘Big Sam’ striker-less for his next match.
Enner Valencia seriously cut his toe stepping on a broken cup
    SANTIAGO CANIZARES
The former Valencia No1 had waited an age to take over in the sticks of the Spanish national team.
He was given an opportunity in 2002, but just before the World Cup was about to start he dropped a bottle of aftershave on his foot.
Like Beasant, he severed a tendon and missed the tournament.
    Butter fingers, perhaps?
Santiago Canizares missed out on the 2002 World Cup because of a bottle of aftershave
    ALAN WRIGHT
The former Aston Villa left-back was a cult hero in the Midlands.
But the 5ft 4in Wright once had a spell out the game after injuring his knee in the strangest way.
He did it trying to reach the pedals on his Ferrari. True story.
Former Aston Villa defender Alan Wright got injured driving his Ferrari
    KEVIN KYLE
While at Sunderland, the former Scotland international was once seen ‘walking a bit like John Wayne’.
It was all because his eight-month-old son knocked a bowl of boiling water onto his crotch.
    Ouch.
Kevin Kyle’s son dropped hot water on his crotch
    LEROY LITA
At Reading, the striker managed to hurt his back by stretching too vigorously.
But this wasn’t done on the training pitch, no. It happened while laying in bed.
Steve Coppell said at the time: “It’s not an injury that should be ridiculed or made light of.”
Leroy Lita injured himself by stretching too far in bed
    DARIUS VASSELL
We’d definitely avoid recreating this one.
The ex-Aston Villa and England striker tried to get rid of a blood blister on his toe by using an electric drill.
    It didn’t go well.
Darius Vassell tried to pop a blister with an electric drill
    ADAM CHAPMAN
Former Oxford midfielder Chapman was heating some milk for his baby, a normally harmless job.
But as he went to shake it the lid flew off, burning his chest and nipple.
He had to go to hospital but was passed fit to play the next day.

    DAVID JAMES
The former England shot-stopper has two entries.
He once pulled a muscle in his back while trying to reach for a remote control.
Another time, James hurt his shoulder while fishing for carp.
David James should stay away from remote controls… and carp

    CHARLIE GEORGE
Arsenal legend George didn’t let this injury stop him.
The 1971 FA Cup hero once cut off a finger with his lawnmower.
    Thankfully, it wasn’t a leg.
Charlie George managed to cut off a finger while mowing the lawn
    KIERON DYER
When at Newcastle the England man damaged his left eye – because he ran into a stationary training pole.
It wasn’t an eye-for-an-eye in this case, leaving Dyer with a nasty shiner.

    1-2 vs Basel, 07-12-2011
A star-studded Man Utd team was eliminated by Basel back in 2011Credit: Getty Images – Getty
What better place to start than Manchester United’s last dreadful trip to Switzerland?
Ferguson’s side needed a win to avoid group stage elimination, despite having been matched in an easy group alongside Basel, Benfica and Otelul Galati.
But, incredibly, goals by Marco Streller and Alexander Frei sent United packing on matchday six, with Phil Jones’ late consolation unable to prevent a humiliating early Champions League exit.

The Red Devils travelled to Portugal for their Cup-Winners’ Cup quarter-final second leg with a commanding 4-1 lead back in 1964.
But a United side featuring the holy trinity of George Best, Denis Law and Bobby Charlton were shocked by their hosts.
Busby’s boys were annihilated 5-0, tumbling out of the competition in the process.

Louis van Gaal’s side travelled to Denmark with a depleted team – but fans were still confident they would defeat their little known Danish opponents.
But as it turned out, a back four comprising of Donald Love, Paddy McNair, Chris Smalling and Daley Blind wasn’t good enough.
Memphis Depay gave the Red Devils the lead in the Europa League round of 32 first leg clash – only for Pione Sisto and Paul Onuachu to conjure a famous 2-1 win for Midtjylland.
The second leg went a bit better for United – it featured the debut of a goalscoring kid called Marcus Rashford.

Having failed to finish in the top two for the first time in the Premier League era the season prior, United found themselves in a Champions League play-off round back in 2002.
Fergie’s men travelled to Hungary to face little known side Zalaegerszeg.
And substitute Bela Koplarovic sent the home fans delirious in the 90th minute, when he sealed a famous win against United.

The former powerhouse of world football sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and replaced him with an interim boss in Ralf Rangnick as the club prepare to name another new manager in the summer.
On top of that, United’s Premier League bid ended desperately early, while also suffering humiliating KOs in the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
And Cristiano Ronaldo and his team-mate’s hopes of landing a trophy came crumbling down on Tuesday as they crashed out of the Champions League, losing 2-1 to Atletico Madrid on aggregate.
This squad of players seem utterly lost.

United’s trophy drought currently sits at a worrying four years and ten months – with their most-recent success coming in May 2017 when they won the Europa League under Jose Mourinho.
They will have to wait until the Carabao Cup final in late February 2023 for their next shot at silverware and that’s if they even get that far.
That would mean their drought would extend to a staggering five years and ten months – levelling their longest wait for silverware since they were last relegated.
And that was way back in 1974…
