And it would’ve been a bitter pill for the 56-year-old to swallow, looking at this mega mansion.
Boasting 52 rooms, including 21 bedrooms, as well as its own nightclub the property is as lavish as Tyson has ever owned.
But it was needs must for the heavyweight boxing legend and in came rapper 50 Cent who bought it from him for £3.3m the same year it was revealed he blew his fortune.
    PROPERTY DEETS
When the In Da Club singer bought the house from Tyson, it set a record for the most expensive home ever sold in the area of Farmington – and it’s easy to see why.

Along with those 21 bedrooms we mentioned earlier, the 50,000-square-foot abode has a 25 bathrooms, an indoor pool and hot tub, an indoor court, multiple game rooms, a green-screen room, and a recording studio.
And the opulence doesn’t end there.
Entering the property through a stately front gate, you’re greeted by a lion statue.
Walking into the home on the marble floor, a duelling wood-panelled staircase leads you to another level of the property.

As can be seen, the decor is as lavish as it gets throughout the property.
The master bedroom has a scenic view of the garden landscape.
From there, you have your own steel staircase that leads to another floor that features a massive walk-in closet with glass doors, so you can see your designer wardrobe.
One of the many en-suites has a huge bathtub that overlooks the gardens, and it also features a glass door shower.

    THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT
The home is fit for someone who loves having friends round.
There are outdoor and indoor basketball courts that complete the recreational feel to the property.
There’s a room with pool tables, and another games room with poker and roulette tables – meaning you’ll never have to go to Las Vegas again.
Next to the outdoor basketball court is a pond that has an elaborate water feature spouting out and a guesthouse.
However, this property does have a chequered history in sales.

    TOO EXPENSIVE
Over the years, the property has dropped in value rapidly – mostly because of its running costs that 50 Cent complained cost him around £50,000 per month.
In fact, it was on the market for 12 years – starting at £14m before it was finally sold in 2019 for just £2.3m – an 84 per cent price drop.
“It’s just oversized for the market,” estate agent Jonathan Miller told Realtor.com.
“When you have a property that is well outside the norm, it takes a lot longer to sell.”
In the end, it was reportedly snapped up by US businessman Casey Askar, who owns several fast-food businesses.
Another of Mike Tyson’s amazing homes, complete with cages for his tigers, was left abandoned before it was converted into a church.

Tyson Fury’s amazing £1.7million Morecambe mansion – with gold curtains and radiators and a red marble kitchen

IT is a home fit for the Gypsy King.Back in 2020, Tyson Fury upgraded from his £550,000 abode to a stunning £1.7million home in Morecambe.
Tyson and Paris Fury live in a £1.7m home in Morecambe
The elaborate property cost the boxer a reported £1.7m
And the heavyweight champ, 33, known for his love of flashy cars, has given glam wife Paris free rein to decorate.
Clearly crafted with an open cheque book, the mansion has gold curtains and radiators throughout.
There are huge chandeliers dangling from the ceilings, and the kitchen is decked out in red marble.
It’s no wonder Fury, who has amassed a net worth believed to be over £100million, says he’s retiring and wants to put his feet up in his huge house.

    Sneak peek
It’s missus Paris, 32, who often gives us a glimpse into her fab property.
On Instagram, she regularly shares snaps in different rooms – dressed head-to-toe in designer clobber.
One photo showed the blonde clutching a Chanel handbag while stood in front of a set of ornate gold curtains.
    Most read in Boxing
In another, the beauty is surrounded by family in her kitchen – sipping a coffee and laughing.
Behind her, red-topped marble decorates the surfaces. And there’s also a silver chandelier, fit for a queen, hanging from the ceiling.
In the hallway, Paris – wearing a patterned blouse – leans on a gold radiator that’s clearly a statement piece. Next to her is an outstanding floor to ceiling mirror.
For the musical, underneath the wood staircase is a grand black piano that sits on marble flooring.
    Height of luxury
The Furys don’t skimp when it comes to high-end luxury.
Tyson practically lives in a set of £390 Versace gowns, while Paris is a huge fan of the Italian fashion brand.
Paris told us her favourite part of the house was her walk-in wardrobe.
Paris Fury regularly shares images of the home on social media
Sweeping gold curtains adorn the property
A lavish gold radiator and and grand piano can be seen in the hallway
“Having this walk-in wardrobe was a big dream of mine. I got it and I do appreciate it,” she said.
Incredibly, it houses her mega shoe collection that’s worth an estimated £50,000.
And they are certainly proud of their digs – keeping on top of housekeeping in-between looking after their six children.
Paris once described Tyson as ‘a bit of a clean freak’, so you can bet you won’t find a spec of dust anywhere.
    Plot twist
According to land registry records, Fury bought the property for £1.695million in December 2020.
It was paid for by their firm Tyson Fury Ltd, and is mortage-free.
The kitchen boasts hanging chandeliers and red-topped marble kitchen counters
One of the kids’ rooms has a pink and blue themeCredit: instagram
    The Furys have six children
They used to live in a £550,000 house that overlooked Morecambe Bay, before moving to a new plot that was once home to a static caravan-style.
However, the previous owner had it demolished and replaced it with a stone-clad palace – complete with a water fountain on the driveway.
In terms of security, the property has a castellated front wall, and a wrought-iron black and gold fence. Of course, that boasts its own lavish decor – with lion motifs and four eagle sculptures on the gate posts.
Unwanted burglars are warned off by signs that reveal the home is guarded by CCTV.
Tyson Fury has previously boasted about having an expensive property portfolio.
He once revealed he had bought a mansion in Marbella for £6million, although that was never confirmed.
While last year, he claimed to have splashed the cash on a home in Las Vegas, which again was never substantiated.
But Fury’s love affair with Morecambe knows no bounds.
He recently agreed to sponsor League One side Morecambe FC. And he appeared at the nearby Sultan of Lancaster Experience restaurant where he cut the red ribbon to open the establishment.
Glam Paris is the height of fashion and the decor in her home reflects that
For Fury there’s no place like home More

Ex-Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari revealed he was sacked seven months into Blues job after Drogba and Anelka fallouts

LUIZ FELIPE SCOLARI revealed bust-ups with Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka led to his sacking as Chelsea boss. The World Cup-winning Brazilian, 73, replaced Avram Grant in the Stamford Bridge dugout in the summer of 2008 but lasted just seven months before being given the boot.
Luiz Felipe Scolari cited feuds involving Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka led to his sacking as Chelsea boss after seven months
And in an interview with Yellow and Green Football, ‘Big Phil’ detailed the problems that developed during his short stint in West London.
The first was with Drogba and the conflicting viewpoints within the club on how best to help him recover from surgery.
Scolari said: “Chelsea had some problems with injuries, some problems in the team. I had a form of leadership that clashed with one or two players.”
Asked which members of the squad in particular, he confirmed: “Anelka and Drogba. Our medical department thought that we should let Drogba go and recover in Cannes, in the middle of summer.
“I thought he should stay in London. I’d also like to go to Cannes in the middle of summer. I’d stay there for a month, two months, enjoying myself.”
Once Drogba did return, team-mate and new signing Anelka was the league’s top scorer with 19 goals.
Scolari, therefore, wanted to work out how he could fit both strikers into the starting XI – but the Frenchman was reluctant to accommodate.
Chelsea’s Ivorian striker Didier Drogba fell out with Scolari
The ex-manager added: “When he came back, I tried to adapt so that Drogba and Anelka could play together.
“Anelka was the top scorer in the league. We had a meeting and Anelka said, ‘I only play in one position.’
“So, there was a bit of a lack of friendship, of respect, of trying to play together with Drogba.
“They were both great, but someone had to do something different, to get back to help when we lost the ball.
“That was when it changed a bit. But we’ve met since then, me and Drogba. The last time was in Russia in 2018. We spoke openly about it.
“There wasn’t any ill intention from him or Anelka. But it happened and I lost out on one of the great chances of my life.”
Carlo Ancelotti later managed to convince Anelka and Drogba to play together as Chelsea won the Double in 2010.
Both forwards left Chelsea in 2012 – Anelka headed to Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua in the January and then Drogba joined him six months later after securing the Blues’ maiden Champions League crown.
    LATEST FOOTBALL NEWS
Scolari’s tenure at Stamford Bridge is seen as a failure.
A 2-0 defeat by Liverpool followed by a 0-0 draw with Hull in early February spelled the end with Guus Hiddink coming in as interim boss for the rest of the season.
Since then, Scolari has managed clubs in Brazil, China and Uzbekistan as well as overseeing Brazil’s home World Cup which ended in embarrassment with the 7-1 thumping by Germany in the semi-finals.
Speaking of leaving England and that night against the Germans, ‘Big Phil’ added: “I wanted to keep working in England. I would work at any club. I think it’s marvellous.
“We went to play against Portsmouth and Sunderland. In stadiums that hold 20,000 people, 19,000 are cheering for the team of their city. I think that’s really beautiful. They don’t support the big clubs, they support their clubs.”
On the World Cup debacle he added: “We lost because of our mistakes. They were splendidly well taken advantage of by Germany. It was a disaster in terms of image, especially in Brazil.
“It was the biggest bomb, the biggest disaster that the Selecao has ever suffered. I was the person most closely associated with the disaster. I was the one who took most of the blame.
“When Brazil won in 2002, I wasn’t the greatest hero. We were all heroes. I expected all of us [would be blamed in 2014], that the press would acknowledge that Brazil lost. But that’s not how it was.”
Scolari now manages Brazil’s Athletico Paranaense More

Man City’s 2011-12 Premier League title winners and where they are now, including final-day Aguero and Balotelli

SERGIO AGUERO’S last-minute goal to win Manchester City the 2012 title is the most iconic moment in Premier League history and happened ten years ago last week. The Etihad club marked the occasion by placing a statue of Aguero’s wild celebration against QPR outside the stadium.

The goal and therefore the title win opened the floodgates for City as they lifted their first Premier League crown.
But what has happened to the Argentine legend and his team-mates including maverick stars Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli in the decade that has passed since that memorable moment in 2012?
City looked destined to miss out on the title as they trailed 2-1 at home to relegation-threatened QPR after 90 minutes on May 13, 2012.
In truth, they needed a miracle.

Pablo Zabaleta gave Roberto Mancini’s men the lead six minutes before half-time but the Londoners battled back through Djibril Cisse and Jamie Mackie who scored either side of Joey Barton’s red card for the visitors.
But somehow, after Edin Dzeko’s header gave City the faintest glimmer of hope in the 92nd minute, Aguero got on the end of Balotelli’s pass inside the penalty box.
As bitter rivals Manchester United waited with baited breath at Sunderland to see if their win was enough, the pint-sized superstar lashed the ball past Paddy Kenny in the 94th minute triggering scenes of total bedlam in the stadium.
Martin Tyler screamed “AGUEEEEERRRRROOOOOOO” to millions watching at home as the Argentine wheeled away in ecstasy twirling his shirt around his head.

But there were 13 other City stars who played that day and many more throughout the season – so here SunSport reveals what has happened to them since.
    Starting XI
    JOE HART
The former England goalkeeper spent six more years between the sticks at the Etihad before being bombed out by Pep Guardiola when the Spaniard took over in 2016.
He spent two uninspiring loan spells at Torino and West Ham before moving to Burnley in 2018.
But the 35-year-old – who earned his 75th and last England cap in 2017 – also struggled for game time at Turf Moor and Tottenham.
He now finds himself north of the border after signing for Celtic last summer and he won the Scottish Premiership and League Cup.

    PABLO ZABALETA
Opened the scoring in the historic game against QPR and will forever be adored in Manchester for several world-class campaigns during his nine years with the club.
He played for West Ham for three years after his 2017 departure and retired officially on October 16, 2020.
Zabaleta, now 37, is working on his coaching badges in a bid to go into management.

    VINCENT KOMPANY
Few men will be revered as much as Kompany for generations to come at City.
Their iconic captain led the club with aplomb on and off the pitch until he left for Anderlecht in 2019.
Initially signed on a player-coach basis, the 36-year-old is now Burnley manager after coaching the Belgian side.

    JOLEON LESCOTT
Having arrived from Everton in 2009, the centre-back appeared 31 times during the historic 11-12 season.
Eventually left for West Brom in 2014 before spending time with Aston Villa, AEK Athens and Sunderland before hanging up the boots in 2017.
Was involved in a bizarre story where Spanish club Racing Murcia claimed they had signed him to play in a cup game in November 2020.
But he never turned out for the fourth-tier side and has done punditry work on Sky Sports and BT Sport while also once working as the loans manager at the Etihad.
Lescott, now 40, is a coach for the England Under-21s.
    GAEL CLICHY
A stalwart in the title-winning campaign of 2011-12 – his first with City after eight years at Arsenal.
The Frenchman, 37, went on to win more silverware with City before he left in 2017 for Istanbul Basaksehir.
Left-back Clichy is currently with Swiss Super League side Servette whom he joined in December 2020.

    SAMIR NASRI
Another man who played the best football of his career at City after joining from Arsenal.
The French midfielder is often under-rated and instead remembered for the ‘drip-doctor’ scandal and his subsequent 12-month Uefa ban.
But the midfielder’s performances on the pitch are fondly recalled by City fans.
Not so by fans of West Ham who Nasri joined in 2019 – impressing no one in a spell that fell between time at Sevilla, Antalyaspor and Anderlecht.
Nasri retired at 34 after being axed by former team-mate Kompany’s side for flying to Dubai without contacting his club.
    YAYA TOURE
One of the finest players in Premier League history.
The Ivorian genius was the perfect combination of power, pace and ability and was an integral part of City’s golden period of success.
Former Barcelona man played in China for Qingdao Huanghai after a spell at Olympiacos but retired in January 2020.
Toure, 39, has since served as assistant manager at Ukrainian Premier League side Olimpik Donetsk and Russian top-flight side Akhmat Grozny – both in 2021, lasting just months in each role.

    GARETH BARRY
Mr Reliable holds the record for the most Premier League appearances of any player with 653.
The holding midfielder played 31 times in 2011-12.
Former 53-cap England international Barry, now 41, left City in 2013 for Everton – initially on loan before a permanent move in 2014.
He stayed at Goodison Park before leaving for West Brom in 2017 where he eventually retired at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
    DAVID SILVA
The 36-year-old mercurial Spaniard only left City in 2020 after ten glorious years.
He won four Premier Leagues, two FA Cups and five League Cups.
And his almost telepathic link with Aguero saw the two rip teams apart season after season. Now plays for Spanish side Real Sociedad where he won the Copa del Rey.

    CARLOS TEVEZ
Tevez, now 38, did something few players have ever done and played for both City and United – although Paul Pogba could join that controversial list.
He spent four years at Old Trafford after bursting on to the scene at West Ham in the 2006-07 season.
But he made the controversial switch to United’s bitter rivals in 2009.
The Argentine scored 73 times in 148 City appearances before transferring to Juventus in 2013.
He stayed with the Serie A giants for two years before returning to his beloved Boca Juniors.
Tevez did make a temporary switch to Shanghai Shenhua in 2017 – which he admitted was just for the money – but he went straight back to La Bombonera then announced his departure on mental health grounds last June.
Today, he’s gone into management with Rosario Central.

    SERGIO AGUERO
The Argentine was the last remaining member of the QPR match-day squad at City.
Aguero, 34, was forced to change his game when Guardiola arrived but he quickly implemented the pressing style into his game and will go down as one of the best players – if not THE best – to ever grace the Premier League.
The Argentina international played 390 games for City, managed a staggering 260 goals and joined Barcelona for free when his contract expired.
Aguero had to retire last season following a heart condition that left him struggling to breathe on the pitch.

    COSTEL PANTILIMON
The Romanian did not feature at all in the Premier League during the 2012 title-winning campaign.
Has played for Sunderland, Watford and Nottingham Forest in England since and was most-recently at Turkish club Denizlispor.
Now 35, Pantillimon is reportedly a free agent.
    MICAH RICHARDS
    City fan-favourite was a semi-regular in 2011-12 making 23 league starts.
Left on loan in 2014 to Fiorentina before a permanent departure to Aston Villa in 2015 after ten years with City.
Still only 34, Richards has become an elite pundit with his easy-going demeanour, infectious laugh and high-level analysis.
    ALEKSANDAR KOLAROV
The Serbian left-back started just nine games in 2011-12 but spent five more years in Manchester – reaching 247 total games in blue.
Spent three years at Roma from 2017 and played 15 games for Inter Milan before retiring from the game in 2022.

    JAMES MILNER
Jokingly nicknamed Mr Boring, Milner has been utilised as an elite versatility man for the last 11 years since he joined City in 2010.
Left for Liverpool in 2015 where he remains, now aged 36.
Has won three Premier Leagues, one Champions League, two FA Cups and two League Cups.
    NIGEL DE JONG
Dutch midfielder is probably most famous for his karate kick on Xabi Alonso in the 2010 World Cup final.
The 2011-12 season proved to be his last with City after his 2009 arrival.
Has played for AC Milan, La Galaxy, Galatasaray, Mainz and Al Ahli since.
Most recently played for Qatari club Al-Shahaniya and provides punditry for beIN Sports.
    MARIO BALOTELLI
The 32-year-old ‘why always me’ renegade divides opinion across the football world.
An undoubted talent but lacked the work rate and attitude to stay consistent at the top level.
Left City in 2013 and has played for AC Milan, Liverpool, Nice, Marseille, Brescia and Monza – who he joined on December 7, 2020.
Monza’s owner revealed the striker is drinking in the Last Chance Saloon after joining with the ‘best intentions’.
And his seven-month contract was not extended as Balotelli signed for Turkish outfit Adana Demirspor in 2021, scoring 19 goals in 35 games.
On transfer deadline day, Balotelli moved again… now he’s in Swiss football with Sion.

    EDIN DZEKO
Came off the bench to score the equaliser against QPR.
The Bosnian, now 36, was predominantly used as a back-up striker during his five years with City from 2011-16.
He did have spells as No1 but he found game time much easier to come by at Roma from 2015 to 2021.
The 120-cap hero scored 119 goals in 260 Roma matches but joined Inter Milan in 2021 and has continued his fine goal-scoring exploits. More

Tyson was speaking to Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn on his BBC No Passion, No Point podcast recently.
The American outlined why he thinks Fury would be the man to beat.
Tyson, who returned to the ring in a draw with Roy Jones Jr in 2020, said: “It’s very interesting, Joshua is a masterful puncher. But you can see his punches coming, he telegraphs his punches.
“And that’s just a recipe for disaster if you’re fighting Tyson Fury and you’re telegraphing your punches – to a guy whose 6ft 7in, come on.”

Fury defeated Wilder in an epic trilogy fight, which Tyson championed before it became a formality.
He stated: “I think there are a lot of great heavyweight fighters in the division.
“Anyone who says that it’s a bad division is just jealous, it’s exciting.
“Tyson [Fury] can fight Wilder again and I like to see guys fight each other over and over again, if they’re exciting fighters.”

During his illustrious playing days, Ze Roberto won two Copa Americas and finished runner up at the 1998 World Cup.
The versatile left-back turned midfielder made 85 Brazil appearances and scored six times for his country.
Ze Roberto also lifted one LaLiga and the Champions League with Real Madrid and claimed four Bundesliga titles in six years at Bayern Munich spread over two stints in Germany.
And back in 2020 he even claimed he has a better physique than the ripped Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
