It would be a real battle of the novices with Paul 5-0 inside the squared circle, while the Notorious has had one fight in boxing – a KO defeat against Floyd Mayweather in August 2017.
Paul is currently preparing to face Anderson Silva on October 29 after a bout to face Tommy Fury was scrapped for a second time.
But Hearn wants to see Paul take on McGregor in the ring.
Speaking to Sirius XM Boxing in late 2020, the Matchroom boss said: “I think it’s reasonably competitive, especially with the weight difference.

“Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor is a lot more competitive than Conor vs Floyd Mayweather.”
McGregor and Paul have been embroiled in a war-of-words in social media, with the Dublin native labelling the American as a “flop” and a “nobody”.
His comments came after Paul talked up a clash against McGregor in an interview with the MMA Hour.
Paul said his rival must get active again with the 34-year-old still recovering from a broken leg he suffered against Dustin Poirier last year.

He told Ariel Helwani: “I think for me, fighting a couple more times, continuing to knock some people out, and he has to get active again, who knows when that’s gonna happen?
“I think those two things need to happen, and then at some point, it’s gotta happen.
He added: “You know, why not? He’s a businessman, I’m a businessman, and that’s $75 to $100 million [£63m-£84.3m]for both of us.”
McGregor was quick to reply to the interview as he took to social media to criticise Paul.
Commenting on the unbeaten 5-0 ace, he tweeted: “You’ve [had] 2 fights and done 70k buys.”

New Aston Villa boss Unai Emery used Peaky Blinders to improve his English while he was Arsenal manager

ASTON VILLA are under new management — by order of Peaky Blinders fan Unai Emery. The Spaniard replaced Steven Gerrard in the Villa Park dugout this week when his £5.2million release clause was triggered.

He signed a three-year deal with the Midlanders, returning to the Premier League three years after he was sacked by Arsenal.
During his time with the Gunners, his grasp of the English language came under the microscope.
But Emery knew he needed to improve… so watched programmes like the BBC’s period crime drama about the Shelby family starring Cillian Murphy.
Upon taking the Arsenal job to replace Arsene Wenger in 2018, the Europa League specialist revealed: “I am watching to improve my English.
“Peaky Blinders is good but it is difficult, from Birmingham. And it’s very aggressive. But it’s good, it’s good.”
It may be a while before Emery develops a Brummie twang but he wants his new gang to move clear of the danger zone as soon as possible.
He is yet to receive his work permit, preventing him from being on the touchline against Newcastle on Saturday.
But the Villans hope he will be in the dugout for the visit of Manchester United on November 6.
    READ MORE ON FOOTBALL
Emery will then take his new side to Old Trafford four days later for a Carabao Cup third-round clash.
Once the Red Devils are out of the way Villa face another difficult trip to Brighton, which is their last match before the Premier League takes a break for the World Cup.
And Emery will not find life any easier when Prem action returns as Liverpool are the visitors to Villa Park on Boxing Day.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Villa then travel to North London to take on Tottenham on New Year’s Day before the Black Country derby against Wolves three days later.
It is a baptism of fire for Emery but the former Arsenal boss could do his old side a big favour if he beats the likes of United, Liverpool and Spurs.
Emery is not quite Thomas Shelby yet but his ambition is for Villa to mix it with the big boys.
And he will understand what the locals are chanting in the stands with a TV refresher.

Ex-Chelsea defender Xavier Mbuyamba has been called the ‘new Van Dijk’ and was schooled by Barca at La Masia academy

BARCELONA and Chelsea’s loss could be another European heavyweight’s gain. The Blues added towering defender Xavier Mbuyamba to their ranks in 2020, after he reportedly cancelled his contract with the La Liga giants.

He was sold in the summer due to new Fifa rules regarding loan playersCredit: PA
The 18-year-old Dutch defender came with the some pedigree.
Standing at 6ft 5in, not only is he a man-mountain, the Dutchman composed style has drawn comparisons to Liverpool star Virgil Van Dijk.
However, the late bloomer was let go by the Blues this summer as he joined Volendam in his homeland with just four Under-23s appearances.
    AN UNKNOWN ENTITY
As is standard with Dutch players coming through the youth system, it’s normally the big two – Ajax and PSV – who have first dibs on the best talents coming through.
    READ MORE ON FOOTBALL
But Mbuyamba – full name Xavier Tshimanga Kamaluba Ntite Mukendi Mpoyi Mbuyamba – slipped through the cracks.
And he was ignored by the national team at youth level too.
“It is strange that they never came, but the same applies to the KNVB,” Mbuyamba told Dutch TV station RTL.
“I was called up for the first time [to the U19s squad] in November 2019. The staff immediately said that they thought it strange that I had never been noticed before.”

    CLUB BREAKTHROUGH
Mbuyamba made his debut at the age of 16 in the unfashionable Dutch second division with hometown club MVV Maastricht.
Soon, the world’s biggest clubs starting taking notice of him.
Barcelona academy director Patrick Kluivert invited him for a trial at La Masia.
Chelsea also registered their interest, and he trained with the West Londoners for a week.
But, swayed by the prospect of appearing in Barcelona’s B side and then the first team, he opted for the move to Spain in 2019.

Mbuyamba bravely decided to leave Barcelona by mutual consentCredit: Instagram mbuyamba.x
WHERE DID IT ALL GO WRONG?
Mbuyamba’s hopes of prospering with Barça hit a halt when the B side refused to give him a starting role.
Having starred for their Under-19 team in central defence and at right-back, it was hard for the ambitious centre half to stomach.
However, a divide between La Masia and the B team was said to be one of the reasons for Mbuyamba’s lack of opportunity at a higher level.
He also had hoped a loan deal would help him gain valuable first-team experience, but Barcelona saw it differently.
Initially, they demanded around £1.8million for his talents. But his contract was cancelled by mutual consent, and he became available as a free agent.
    WHAT’S NEXT?
Chelsea were one of four Premier League clubs who made offers to Mbuyamba.
Real Madrid, Juventus and other European giants were also monitoring the situation.
With his action again limited, his mood was worsened by the Blues refusing to let him go out on loan in January 2022.
However, the youngster – who turns 21 on New Year’s Eve – was one of the Chelsea victims of the new Fifa rule limiting the number of loan players permitted.

Powerful aerially, Mbuyamba boasts that same rapid recovery speed Van Dijk utilises to snuff out danger.
He’s also remarkably comfortable in possession, given his height, and is at ease playing the ball out of defence.
Graham Potter will be gutted he didn’t get the chance to get a tune out of him at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground.
But should he continue to impress with Volendam – described as a “step up” from Chelsea by Mbuyamba – the defender remains confident he can get his big break on the world stage.
Speaking after his Eredivisie debut in September, he said: “Many people think that Chelsea to FC Volendam is a step down, but I see it as a step up.
“I go from U23 football to the Eredivisie. If I play a lot, I can develop well. That’s it really. There was interest from Eredivisie clubs, and I had a very good feeling here.
“For my development, I chose FC Barcelona. I learned a lot there. I actually wanted to go straight to Chelsea, but they got a transfer ban.

“Then I went the following year. There I experienced a lot and developed myself.
“I want to play one, two, three seasons here. As soon as I’m ready, I’ll hopefully make the step to the top of the Eredivisie.” More

Jake Paul messaged UFC star Conor McGregor on Instagram urging him to ‘take the fight p***y’ after $50m offer

JAKE PAUL continued his relentless pursuit of a boxing match with Conor McGregor by direct messaging the UFC superstar on Instagram. The YouTuber revealed his eagerness to take on McGregor a few days after scoring a sensational second-round KO victory over Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition bout with Roy Jones Jr last year.
Jake Paul slid into Conor McGregor’s direct messages on Instagram
Jake Paul launched a foul-mouthed tirade at Conor McGregor earlier this week
And in summer 2021, the 25-year-old doubled down on his desire to box McGregor in a foul-mouthed tirade on Instagram, in which he claimed his team have sent the UFC’s poster boy a whopping £37million ($50million) offer.
McGregor refrained from responding to the x-rated call-out, in which Paul made derogatory comments about the Irishman’s fiancee, Dee Devlin.
And in another attempt to get the former two-division UFC champion’s attention Paul – whose older brother Logan stepped in the ring with Floyd Mayweather – sent a short and sweet direct message to The Notorious on Instagram.
Paul’s message read: “Take the fight p***y.”
    Most read in Boxing
After sharing his DM to McGregor, Paul launched a blistering rant at UFC president Dana White, who revealed he was willing to let women’s bantamweight and featherweight queen Amanda Nunes fight the former Disney star.
He said: “Alright, Dana, let me try to understand your logic here: So you’re saying you don’t want me to fight Conor McGregor because he’s one of the greatest fighters in the world and I’m just like a YouTuber of whatever.
“But then, in a statement today, you say: ‘Oh, I’m thinking about just having Amanda Nunes knock him out.’ But she’s also one of the greatest.
“Dana, you seem to have this thing where you sort of hate on videogamers or YouTubers and influencers and us boxing and all this stuff.
“But then, you spend half your time hanging out with the Nelk Boys. And I know why. It’s because they have hella influence over the male audience and you know that’s gonna promote the UFC.
“And right now, baby, there’s nobody in this f***ing world who is promoting the UFC as much as me.
Tens of millions of views, number one search result on Google when you type in Conor McGregor, when you type in UFC, when you type in Dana White. So you’re not making sense here.
“Dana, I know the world doesn’t really know this because the UFC is this huge company. But we all know it’s not doing that well.
Jake Paul knocked out Nate Robinson on the undercard of Mike Tyson’s exhibition bout with Roy Jones JrCredit: AP:Associated Press
“Anyone who is involved in WME and all the public stocks and everything that went south there, we know the company is not doing well. And I’m the biggest money fight you can do unless Khabib comes out of retirement.
“So if you want the UFC to make the most amount of money, you better start to wake the f**k up and realise that Jake Paul vs Conor McGregor is going to happen at some point.”
Paul’s rant at White came shortly after he ambushed McGregor’s team-mate Dillon Danis and pelted him with water balloons.
Paul may very well be a combat sports novice, but he’s well and truly at the centre of the boxing and MMA worlds at this moment in time.

Ronaldo reveals pizza is his guilty pleasure as Man Utd star shares tips on how to stay in shape over 30

CRISTIANO RONALDO’s guilty pleasure is a pizza shared with his son.The football star is renowned for his impeccable condition that has seen him rule as one of the most physically dominant players in the world.

The Man Utd star shows off his physique with Cristiano JrCredit: The Mega Agency
He was spotted out enjoying a reasonably priced meal with his proud mum Dolores Aveiro last year after she travelled to England to watch his second debut for Manchester United.
But Ronaldo has admitted in the past that even he is a sucker for a cheat meal, with the Portugal legend opting for a pizza to avoid a ‘boring’ life.
He told YouTube channel ChrisMD: “The key is to take care of your body, train, do your recovery and eat properly.
“Although sometimes I do eat pizza with my son, otherwise it would be boring.”
CR7 claimed in 2018 that he has a ‘biological age of 23’ – and wants to continue playing into his 40s.
Apart from the occasional treat with his boy, Cristiano Jr, Ronaldo sticks to a strict diet and has implemented Pilates-based routines that focus on resistance work to strengthen his core.
Post-match exercise has also become a huge part of his regime, as the Portugal skipper heads straight to the swimming pool after a game.
    MOST READ IN FOOTBALL
But when Ronaldo first came to England, signing for Manchester United for the first time in 2003, he arrived with motivation having been called “too skinny” earlier in his career.
He revealed: “It’s true, I was skinny. I had no muscle.
“So I made a decision at 11 years old, I knew I had a lot of talent, but I decided that I was going to work harder than everybody.
“I started sneaking out of the dormitory at night to go work out. I got bigger and faster.
“I would walk onto the field, and the people who used to whisper, ‘Yeah, but he’s so skinny,’ now they would be looking at me like it was the end of the world.”
Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford at the end of the summer transfer window, 12 years after leaving for Real Madrid.
    Ronaldo’s top tips

Hard work: Motivation to be the best is key – which Ronaldo’s five Ballons d’Or prove.
The world is your gym: Don’t limit yourself to exercising in one place. Complete your routine at home in the morning or at night.
Booze ban: No more wild nights out if you want to stay so sculpted.
You are what you eat: Balanced diet with plenty of protein to fuel your workouts is best. Sugary foods are worst.
Ronnie says relax: Downtime at home with family and friends is a must, as well as plenty of sleep.

And as one of the highest-paid footballers in the world, he can afford luxuries like a Cryotherapy chamber – for muscle regeneration to help him continue at the top of his game.
The £50,000, walk-in piece of kit works miracles on the body, with Ronaldo having one installed in 2013 after hearing it had worked well for ex-Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery.
Standing in the chamber for around three minutes, liquid nitrogen freezes Ronaldo to between minus 160 and minus 200 degrees Celsius.
Cryotherapy beats muscle soreness and reduces swelling, inflammation or sprains – allowing the Red Devils forward to be ready for the next match or training session sooner.
It helps him recover from his five high-intensity workouts a week, which includes a lot of sprinting.
Though the Portuguese poster-boy insists all you need is a bedroom and spare time to get in shape.
He said: “We do a lot of sprinting drills in training and they can be incorporated into your workout whether you are in the gym or outdoors.
“Try and add it to every workout you do. Fit in exercise wherever you can.
Here’s what Cristiano Ronaldo eats on a daily basis
“You can do an abs workout in your bedroom when you wake up in the morning or before you go to bed.
“If you get into a routine then it makes it easier as it will become a habit.”
Ronaldo is not a vegetarian and he does not eat a plant-based diet, but does limit his meat intake because of the higher fat content.
Fish is a key part of his diet with Lisbon speciality Bacalhau a Braz – a mixture of braised cod, onions, thinly sliced potatoes and scrambled eggs – one of his favourites.
Ronaldo has said: “I eat a high protein diet, with lots of whole grain carbs, fruit and vegetables, and avoid sugary food.
“Eat regularly. If you train regularly it’s important to keep energy levels high to fuel your body for better performance.
“I sometimes eat up to six smaller meals a day to make sure I have enough energy to perform each session at top level.”

Gerrard laughed: “It was banned before I had seen it!

He followed in the footsteps of Antonio Conte who immediately banned ketchup and mayonnaise at Tottenham in order to help his stars shed some weight.

But it did not have the desired effect as Villa picked up just 18 wins in 40 games under Stevie G – who was sacked on Thursday following the 3-0 defeat to Fulham.
Upon joining the Villans, Gerrard said he spoke to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp about his emotional return to Anfield.
The Liverpool legend was promised a famous Klopp bear hug when he lined up in the Anfield dugout – on the away team’s bench – which he received on December 11, when the Reds ran out 1-0 winners.
Before the game, Gerrard said last year: “I’ve been in touch with Klopp since day one. We live in the same area and I bump into him when he’s walking his dogs. He is a great coach and I hope he stays for a long time.
