Inside Lionel Messi’s £5m luxury Miami apartment he’s put up for sale with 1,000-bottle wine cellar and SIX pools

LIONEL MESSI has put his luxury £5million Miami apartment up for sale. The Argentine superstar, 34, has long been linked with a career swansong in America, with rumours suggesting he could head to the MLS following his two-year stint at Paris Saint-Germain.

The apartment even comes with access to its own private chefCredit: Regalia Miami Condos
Messi only purchased the entire ninth floor of a luxury Florida apartment in April of THIS year – but is already moving on from the plush pad.
The remarkable property sits on Sunny Isles Beach with beautiful views of the ocean – just ten miles from Miami Beach.
The luxury condo has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, 360-degree views of the stunning Miami skyline and even a 1,000-bottle wine cellar in 511 square metres of indoor space.
As well as its own private pool, the apartment boasts access to six pools in total.
There is also a spa, fitness centre, yoga studio, children’s playhouse and a champagne bar in the complex.
And just to top it off, a private chef is on-site for when residents want to line their stomachs before delving into the expansive wine cellar.

Messi had appeared to be expanding his property portfolio having bought an apartment in the Porsche Design Tower – situated just down the road – two years ago.
But this suggests Messi is reining in his house-buying habit, with his family now settled in the French capital following his Barcelona exit.
The news of the Argentine selling the pad will come as a blow to Inter Miami owner David Beckham.
The former England and Manchester United has made no secret of his desire to sign the best players in the world – including Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Prior to the club’s abysmal 2021 season, Becks had claimed: “I have said from day one that our academy system is a massive part of this club and if we can bring players through here that have lived and breathed Inter Miami then that is the goal.
“But we also know that being in Miami, our fans want to see the big stars.
“We already have players like Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi who add to the glitz and glamour but also going forward we want to have the opportunity to bring some great names in.
“Leo and Cristiano have been mentioned (in the question just asked), they have been at the top of their game and been the best for the last 15 years because of hard work. There is very little luck behind it.
“Sir Alex Ferguson was the master at choosing the right player, he didn’t always bring the best player in the world, he brought the right player for the club and that is one of the things that I have taken into this place.”

Man Utd legend Rio Ferdinand admitted his most ‘enjoyable’ football came at Leeds and tipped them for Prem success

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Rio Ferdinand has admitted that his “most enjoyable football” came during his time at Leeds United. The former England star moved to Elland Road from West Ham in 2000, spending two years in Yorkshire before departing for Old Trafford.

And while he won countless trophies as a Red Devil, Ferdinand, 42, still has plenty of nice things to say about rivals Leeds.
Speaking to BT Sport in 2020 after Leed’s first few outings back in the top flight, Ferdinand gushed about his time at Elland Road.
He said: “As much as there was a lot of talk about me going to Man United and it was emotional, for a lot of the fans it was difficult to accept.
“But I think in the long term it was proven that the reasons why I went were justified, but I probably had my most enjoyable football when I played here [at Leeds].
“I loved it at West Ham but we didn’t win that much, I loved it at Man United, we won a lot but with that came a lot of pressure.
“So the enjoyment factor isn’t as free-spirited as it was when I was here at Leeds where we won a fair amount in terms of games, got to some good heights, Champions League semi-final etcetera, and there wasn’t that added pressure or expectations with it.
“We were a young squad, all good lads, all socialised together as well and I just had some fantastic times here, really enjoyed my football here, enjoyed my time, the people were great.
“Where I lived was fantastic so I’ve never had anything bad to say about Leeds. It’s always been somewhere that I’ve always appreciated at it was part of my journey.”

Leeds succumbed to relegation two years after Ferdinand left for Manchester United.
But after 16 years of hurt they made it back to the big time and their former defender believes that they can take the league by storm.
Ferdinand was proved right last season as Marcelo Bielsa’s side as they finished in a remarkable ninth place after a year of swashbuckling football.
Although now the Whites could be suffering from what some call ‘second season syndrome’.
The Elland road outfit have won just two Prem games this season and currently lie 17th in the table – one place above the relegation zone.
Ferdinand continued: “Again, I think Leeds are a breath of fresh air for the league.
“I think last [two] seasons [ago] Sheffield United took that mantle, they were the team that came up and surprised a few, a new system, but this has gone to another extreme.
“The way that Leeds are set up, the way they play, they’re going to outrun most teams physically, but tactically they seem like a team that’s set up very, very well and you can see that there’s a lot of work that goes in on the training ground when you get to matchday because they do ask teams a lot of questions, whether it’s tactically or physically.
Leeds hearts were broken when Ferdinand signed for Man United in 2002Credit: PA:Press Association
The centre-back went on to win numerous trophies at Old TraffordCredit: Reuters
“I think that we saw on the first day of the [last] season, against Liverpool, they could have won that game easily and they’re playing against the champions, so it tells you that they’re going to give a lot of teams a run for their money.
“Fulham, they went out there and got the three points. I think that’s the thing they need to do, get points on the board, draw confidence from that and the tactics, they’ll be able to fall back on that, especially later down the line in the season when things settle down a little bit.”
And Ferdinand, having watched a training session, was also awestruck by the work of manager Bielsa.
He’s been around a long time but when you haven’t seen it and you go and see it, it’s a breath of fresh airRio Ferdinand
He added: “I’ve got to be honest, Bielsa, I’ve heard a lot about him and people talk about how great he is.
“A lot of people use the word scientist, he’s got a scientific approach to the game. He’s been around a long time but when you haven’t seen it and you go and see it, it’s a breath of fresh air.
“It’s so informative, there’s a lot of questions in your mind when you’re watching them train. There’s a purpose behind every session, there’s no wastage in terms of time, very methodical.
“It really interests me, really intriguing, I’d love to get a bit of time to speak to him, even through a translator just to understand how and why he’s got to this point.”

Where Tottenham’s 2007/08 League Cup winning XI are now as Spurs chase first trophy under Antonio Conte

TOTTENHAM’S wait for a piece of silverware has now stretched to 13 YEARS.In 2008, Juande Ramos led Spurs to the League Cup thanks to a 2-1 victory over Chelsea at Wembley.
This is the Tottenham starting XI that won the League Cup in 2008, 13 years ago

Didier Drogba put the Blues in front with a free-kick before Dimitar Berbatov’s penalty sent the game into extra-time.
Jonathan Woodgate grabbed the winner when Petr Cech punched the ball in from Jermaine Jenas’ free-kick into the defender’s head and it rebounded in.
Harry Redknapp, Andre Villas-Boas, Tim Sherwood, Mauricio Pochettino, Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo all came and went without a trophy.
But what happened to the Tottenham team that beat Avram Grant’s side?
    GK: Paul Robinson
The former England goalkeeper won his only major trophy that day at Wembley, the year after the last of his 41 England caps.
He had seven seasons at Blackburn before a two-year, three-appearance spell at Burnley then retired in 2017 and is now doing media work.
ARE YOU IN? IT’S GO TIME ON OUR COMPETITION TO WIN £5,000 (T&Cs apply. 18+)

    RB: Alan Hutton
The Scottish right-back joined Aston Villa in 2011 but had loans to Nottingham Forest, Mallorca and Bolton.
He played in the 2015 FA Cup final and scored a memorable goal against rivals Birmingham in 2018 before hanging up his boots a year ago to step into media, too.
    CB: Jonathan Woodgate
Match-winner Woodgate left Spurs in 2011 to join Stoke before returning to Middlesbrough a year later.
He ended his playing career in 2016 and, after a brief stint as a scout for Liverpool, went into coaching – he took over as Boro manager in 2019 and had a spell in charge of Bournemouth, too.
    CB: Ledley King
Ramos’ skipper that day had his career blighted by injuries and retired as a one-club man in 2012.
He joined Jose Mourinho’s backroom staff last summer and is trying to help the club end their long wait.

    LB: Pascal Chimbonda
The one-cap French full-back left Spurs that summer for Sunderland but returned to White Hart Lane in 2009 for a short stint.
He then had spells at eight clubs in ten years – including QPR and Doncaster as well as non-league Market Draydon Town and Ashton Town – before stopping in 2019.
    RM: Aaron Lennon
One of the two members of that team still actively playing professional football is Lennon.
He had ten seasons at the Lane before joining Everton in 2015, Burnley in 2017 and is back at Turf Moor aged 34 after a spell in Turkey.
    CM: Jermaine Jenas
Like Hutton, Jenas headed to Villa Park, albeit on loan, in 2011 before a temporary spell at hometown club Nottingham Forest.
He ended his injury-hit career with the 2013-14 season at QPR before stepping into punditry with BT Sport and Match of the Day – and may even be lined up to replace Gary Lineker as host one day.

    CM: Didier Zakora
Zakora spent one more season at Tottenham before joining Sevilla for two years.
After that Ivory Coast’s most-capped player had spells in Turkey, India and Indonesia and is now assistant boss at AFAD Djekanou in his homeland.
    LM: Steed Malbranque
Malbranque spent a decade in England, with his time at Tottenham sandwiched between Fulham and Sunderland.
Like Lennon, he is still active at FC Limonest Saint-Didier in France at the tender age of 41.

    ST: Robbie Keane
Keane enjoyed a glittering career which also included spells at Inter Milan, Leeds, Liverpool and Celtic before five years at LA Galaxy and finally with ATK in Kolkata.
A 146-cap Irish legend, he had spells as an assistant manager with Ireland and Middlesbrough, working under team-mate Woodgate.
    ST: Dimitar Berbatov
Arguably the best player of that Spurs XI was Berbatov, who went on to win two league titles, another League Cup and the Club World Cup with Manchester United.
The two-time Premier League golden-boot winner featured for Fulham, Monaco, PAOK and Kerela Blasters until his retirement in 2019 – the Bulgarian is now working towards to get his Uefa Pro coaching licence.
    Manager: Juande Ramos
Ramos was sacked just eight months later with a win ratio in the league of 29 per cent.
Harry Redknapp replaced him while he managed to land the Real Madrid job before stints at CSKA Moscow, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk and Malaga.
He has been out of work since he resigned from Malaga in 2016.
Younes Kaboul, Teemu Tainio and Tom Huddlestone came off the bench for Spurs that day while Radek Cerny and Darren Bent were unused subs.

Before he set off in pursuit of the 2021 title – having overtaken Michael Schumacher’s record of 91 career race wins last year – he at least had a choice of four luxury homes to self-isolate in.
From a £32MILLION penthouse in New York to an £18MILLION London mansion and a Monte Carlo retreat, the 36-year-old racer knows how to live a life of luxury.
    NEW YORK, NEW YORK
Lewis has an affinity to America, especially the east coast, where he has owned two properties in the Big Apple.
In 2019, he splashed £32m on a Manhattan penthouse in a condo project part-owned by NFL great Tom Brady and his model wife Gisele Bundchen.
His 6,547 square-foot home included a huge outdoor area and has views of the Hudson River, as well as a swimming pool, fitness centre, squash court, library and wine cellar.
Neighbours include Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence and Austin Powers star Mike Myers.
Around the same time, he listed his three-floor 8,900-square-foot penthouse that had its own swimming pool.
Hamilton paid £34m for the five-bedroom, six-bathroom apartment in Tribeca in 2017, but incredibly never lived in it. It’s not known if he ever did sell it.

Dillian Whyte claims he only revealed he dropped Fury in sparring after being trash talked and labels rival ‘two-sided’

DILLIAN WHYTE has blasted Tyson Fury as a “two-sided guy” and says that he only revealed he floored the Gypsy King in sparring because he was sick of being trash-talked.Whyte is the mandatory challenger for Fury’s WBC belt after he beat Deontay Wilder for a third time.

Tyson Fury and Dillian Whyte contine to have some verbal sparring
Speaking about Fury, Whyte revealed in 2020 that he had “dropped him on multiple occasions” in a sparring session.
Now the Brixton Bodysnatcher has said he decided to reveal all after becoming sick of Fury’s taunts.
    ‘TWO-SIDED GUY’
Speaking on The AK and Barak Show, Whyte said: “Yeah, well he starting saying stuff about me so I said come on you know what happened in the gym.
“You know what went down. I never went out and said anything he did. But Fury is a very two-sided guy.
“Like sometimes he says something and you think the dudes cool and I ain’t got a beef with him then. The next minute he starts talking a load of rubbish.
“You’re like, ‘Are we cool, are we beefing or are you talking sense. What’s going on?'”
Fury previously said that he has beaten Whyte in the gym many times, describing him as a “heavy bag on legs”.
    WHYTE TAKING LEGAL ACTION
This clearly riled Whyte, and with him now the next in line for Fury’s WBC belt, their rivalry shows no signs of simmering down.
Fury even claimed that Wilder was only in fighting mood because he was protected by the coronavirus lockdown.
The Gypsy King posted on Twitter: “Funny how everyone wants to fight during Covid-19, when there are no sports events happening.

“Also I have a contract with the @bronzebomber first and when I win that I’ll have the fight with Joshua as undisputed comes before mandatory. Happy hunting.”
SunSport reported how Whyte has taken legal action against the WBC over his mandatory title fight with Fury – after the Gypsy King agreed to fight Joshua.

Real Madrid snubbed David Silva transfer over fears about his ‘drinking and party lifestyle’

REAL MADRID supremo Florentino Perez was about to seal a £30million move for floppy-haired, fresh-faced David Silva back in 2010 while the Spaniard was at Valencia. But the move was sensationally scrapped by Los Blancos amid concerns of the player’s alleged ‘drinking and partying’.
David Silva was on the brink of a move to Real Madrid during his time at ValenciaCredit: PA:Press Association
David Silva is now at Real Sociedad after a decade at Man City
According to The Athletic, Perez went as far as telling a Madrid delegate to grab the then 24-year-old’s suitcase after a match against Silva’s Valencia, telling them: “Take the suitcase to the locker room, because next year David will be with us.”
Having then had his picture taken with Perez’s nephews, Silva became more and more open to making the switch to the Bernabeu.
But after Madrid’s character study of the Spanish ace, they reportedly decided he did not behave with the ‘required dignity’ to be a star at the Bernabeu.
The revelation has baffled fans across the globe, with Silva the model pro during his ten-year stint at Man City – who were able to pinch him from Valencia with Madrid’s apparent blessing.
Silva made over 400 appearances at the Etihad and is widely acknowledged as one of the club’s greatest-ever players – having won four Premier League titles.
Shortly before his departure, former team-mate Kevin De Bruyne lavished praise on Silva, saying: “Everybody has great respect for him and everybody showed that.”
The Belgian was one of those in City’s ranks that voted for Silva to have the honour of becoming their new captain and was clearly delighted when he was formally appointed by Guardiola.
De Bruyne added: “David is very low key but when he speaks everybody listens.
David Silva was a model pro for City and helped them win four PL titles

“I think everybody has his own type of leadership and I think he is somebody who tries to control it in the game and maybe do it in a more silent way.”
Silva left City after a decade of service to return to LaLiga with Real Sociedad
He turned down a lucrative move to Qatar as well as a chance to have a crack at Serie A with Lazio.
