      Jurgen Klopp’s most explosive bust-ups from rows with BT Sport’s Des Kelly to grudge against referee Paul Tierney

      First he was shown a yellow card for his reaction to Harry Kane not being sent off for a dangerous tackle.
      And then after the match he raged “what’s his problem with me”.
      Here, SunSport takes a look at the German’s biggest rows from calling out BT’s Des Kelly to his bust-up with a sweary Frank Lampard.
      PAUL TIERNEY
      Klopp lost his cool as a number of key decisions went against Liverpool during the 2-2 draw away at Tottenham.
      After Harry Kane escaped a red card for a wild lunge on Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota’s penalty appeals were waved away, the German went ballistic on the touchlines.
      Ref Tierney showed him a yellow card with Klopp then sarcastically bowing – and avoiding an immediate second yellow.
      Robertson was later sent off for a swipe on Emerson Royal and Klopp confronted Tierney at full-time.
      He told the official: “I don’t have a problem with referees, only you.
      “Anyone who has played football knows you can’t stop there to win a penalty.”

      And after the match the Liverpool boss said to Sky Sports: “It is always helpful when you play football yourself. When you see the situation back (Jota’s penalty appeal), the VAR is there. Why is he stopping? I don’t understand.
      “The draw is fine. We are not crazy enough to think we cannot draw at Tottenham but these situations are crucial.
      “I have no idea what his [referee Paul Tierney] problem is with me.
      “I was a bit more emotional in the game but he gives me a yellow card but it is not allowed in a situation like this? He comes over and gives me a yellow card but I’d have preferred the right decisions on the pitch.
      “But just an objective ref who sees the situations and judges them. He told me he thinks he stops on purpose. It is incredible. He had the best spot on the pitch and doesn’t give it. You will have to ask him what his problem is with me.”
      DIEGO SIMEONE
      Atletico lost a dramatic Champions League encounter to the Reds, who picked up a late 3-2 win at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in October 2021, and Simeone stormed down the tunnel after the full-time whistle.
      Klopp stood furiously outside the tunnel, seemingly bemused by Simeone’s decision to ignore his handshake. Two HUGE VAR calls went against the Argentine’s side as Liverpool took the three points.
      But Simeone insisted the snub was nothing personal as he “never shakes hands after a match”.
      The 51-year-old added that next time he saw Klopp he would definitely extend his hand.
      However, when the sides met at Anfield a few weeks later, Simeone snubbed Klopp AGAIN.

      DES KELLY
      Klopp and BT Sport reporter Des Kelly have developed a comical rivalry in recent seasons.
      One of their first clashes came in November 2020 after Klopp blasted Kelly’s employers BT Sport for scheduling his team to play on Saturday lunch time after a Champions League game midweek.
      Klopp labelled it criminal but Kelly hit back and suggested Klopp was “aiming at the wrong target” and said “having a go at the broadcaster isn’t going to change anything”.
      A similar situation occurred when Klopp’s team played Watford at 12.30pm after an international break.
      And rounding on Kelly again, the German said: “Who had the idea to bring us at 12.30pm? Was it Watford?
      “If [BT Sport] wouldn’t have said it we would’ve had to reply. Ah yeah thank you for your help, really, thank you, thank you very much.”

      SADIO MANE
      There have been a few incidents involving the stern-faced Senegalese.
      The forward famously threw a strop at the end of a 1-1 draw with Chelsea in 2017.
      Mane’s tantrum came after coming on just one minute before injury-time — and he let his boss know exactly how he felt before storming down the tunnel.
      And there was more of the same from the former Southampton man earlier this year when he refused to shake hands with Klopp at the end of a 4-2 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.
      Klopp later explained it was because he dropped Mane in place of Diogo Jota shortly before the game with little explanation.
      But studio pundits Roy Keane and Graeme Souness took exemption to the Senegal international’s display and called it ‘disrespectful’.
      Klopp has also been involved in some frosty exchanges with Sadio Mane after matches
      SEAN DYCHE
      Klopp and Sean Dyche angrily clashed in the Anfield tunnel as tempers boiled over at half time between Liverpool and Burnley in January.
      The Reds chief was quizzed about the incident after the defeat and replied: “If he’s not talking about it, I will not talk about it. But I didn’t start it.”
      It was not the first time the pair had crossed swords having gone head-to-head after a game in December 2018.
      Dyche whispered something to Klopp making him visibly confused after the match.
      But the Clarets boss insisted he only told Klopp “well done” after Liverpool nicked a stoppage time win.
      And their most recent encounter came in August when Klopp called Burnley’s players wrestlers and Dyche hit back by criticising the German for ‘name-checking’ members of his team.

      FRANK LAMPARD
      In one of Klopp’s more feisty encounters, he was reportedly told to ‘f*** off and sit down’ by then-Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.
      The ex-England midfielder lost his cool with Klopp and his assistant Pep Lijnders after the referee awarded the Reds a free-kick which led to their second goal in a 5-3 thriller last July.
      Klopp fired back by saying the former midfielder ‘has a lot to learn’.
      Lampard has since admitted he regretted the bust-up and confirmed there was no bad blood between the pair.
      But he did call the German a ‘hypocrite’ just two months later after the Liverpool boss criticised Chelsea’s spending.

      ARSENE WENGER
      Klopp slated Arsene Wenger for not getting the best out of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2017.
      The Liverpool boss said he found it ‘unbelievable’ the Ox’s attacking talents were not used to the full by the Gunners’ chief.
      That had come after Wenger said Klopp and his fellow Prem managers had been ‘disappointing on all levels’ the year before.
      And needle between the pair emerged again in 2020 when Liverpool blew the chance to match Wenger’s Arsenal in going unbeaten in the Premier League.
      Rather than sympathise with the Reds, Wenger said he was ‘very satisfied’ to see them lose 3-0 to Watford.
      JOSE MOURINHO
      Where to start with these two?
      A famous early clash occurred in January 2017 when the two squared up to each other on the touchline in a 1-1 draw between Liverpool and Mourinho’s Manchester United.
      Fans then suggested Klopp had got Mourinho the sack for the third time in December 2018.
      Their rivalry continued after Mourinho took charge at Tottenham as the Portuguese took aim at Klopp’s touchline ‘behaviour’ after Spurs lost at Anfield in December 2020.
      He said: “The best team lost and [Klopp] disagreed but that’s his opinion.
      “By the way, if I behave on the touchline like he does then I’m not there.
      “Come on, that’s animated. Do you want to take the table with the time from the fourth official? I’m saying for some reason I’m different and I’m sad.”

      KYLE WALKER has the highest estimated energy bill of all footballers thanks to his luxury £3million home, according to research.The England defender boasts a swanky Cheshire pad featuring a pool, fish tank and waterfall.

      And according to research from Uswitch, Walker pays an estimated £16,200 per YEAR just on energy bills.
      The Manchester City star’s massive pad features six bedrooms, a football-themed games room and a hot-tub.
      All in all, Walker pays roughly 15 TIMES the national average on his gas and electricity bills, according to the study.
      Fortunately for the former Tottenham star, he earns a staggering £110,000 per week, meaning he can pay off his annual energy bill with almost a single day’s work.
      Walker’s team-mate for club and country, John Stones, comes second in the list.
      The Three Lions ace pays around £15,900 a year thanks to his sauna, cinema, leisure complex and heated indoor pool which costs £5,000 per year alone.
      Manchester United team-mates Paul Pogba and David De Gea come in third and fourth respectively.
      Pogba pays an estimated £14,300 per year on amenities such as his indoor football pitch with electronic scoreboard and LED lighting.

      Among former stars, England’s all-time top scorer Wayne Rooney leads the way with a £15,900 yearly bill thanks to his orangery, bar, TV room, snooker room, cinema and wine cellar.

      MOTD presenter Gary Lineker reveals Sir Alex Ferguson apologised over ‘super-injunctions’ claim to end bitter feud

      Fiercely disagreeing with Ferguson’s “super-injunction” comment, the ex-striker would later earn an apology.
      And Lineker has now explained that the issue stemmed from a magazine interview which he claims altered the chronology of his quotes.
      Speaking to the Daily Mail in March of last year, the 61-year-old recalled: “I’m a forgiving soul and I sense that Sir Alex, er, isn’t… We’ve got history. We’ve fallen out a few times over the years, silly little things really.
      “It started with a magazine interview. I was at the BBC and I was talking about managers getting the hump after games, talking in general terms about the pressures and the fact they get paranoid and think we’re all against them.
      “And then they asked me about Sir Alex and I talked about him.
      “But in the piece all those quotes were stuck together, so it made it look as if it was all about Sir Alex. So I saw it and thought, ‘Oh no, f****** hell’ — so I wrote to him. Old school.
      “Tried to explain it and that I was sorry it had come out wrong. He wrote back with two lines that basically said: I don’t believe you.
      I got a sort of begrudging, Sir Alex-type apology.”Gary Lineker
      “And then he did a long interview with Sir David Frost and I was watching it at home and Frost brought it up, the magazine interview. And Sir Alex was saying, ‘Oh yeah, he’s not whiter than white like they all think, he’s got super-injunctions all over the place’.
      “And I’m sitting there thinking, ‘What? My God, you can’t say that. It’s not true, it’s not even close’.
      “And I got a sort of begrudging, Sir Alex-type apology. And I could have gone down the legal route because it was bad.”
      Lineker added that he regrets how things have gone with Fergie, who is the subject of a new Amazon documentary, although they have remained civil in their subsequent meetings.

      He noted: “I’ve bumped into him occasionally.
      “The next time I saw him was at Sir Bobby Robson’s memorial and we were the two speakers, stuck in a room together, and he was all right. I don’t bear grudges.

      In recent years, Roy Keane, 50, has reinvented himself as a TV pundit on Sky Sports – championed for his sharp analysis, rapport with Micah Richards and wicked sense of humour.
      Although, he has made no secret that he would love to return to management, throwing his hat into the ring for the Celtic job back in April.
      But away from football, the Ireland legend lives a very private life.
      THERESA DOYLE
      This year, Keane surprised us all when he set up an Instagram page, where he’s uploaded pictures of his family, including his grandchildren.
      Still missing from it, though, is his wife of 20-years, Theresa Doyle.
      The pair met in 1992, when the midfielder was playing for Forest under Brian Clough.
      “I spotted a beautiful girl in a club in town. Her name was Theresa Doyle but she blanked me,” Keane once revealed of his encounter with the Nottingham-born beauty.
      “She was in a steady relationship and didn’t seem at all impressed by Roy Keane, the great footballer. In fact, I think my reputation was as a downer for all kinds of reasons.
      “From time to time we ran into each other around Nottingham. I knew some of her friends, who told me Theresa was a dentist’s assistant.

      “Eventually, after her relationship broke up, she relented and we went out together. I was in love.”
      They got married in a private ceremony at the Church of Our Lady Crowned in Mayfield, Cork, where Keane is from.
      Keane rarely mentions his wife in public, but once opened up about their relationship in a revealing interview with the Sunday Times in the early 2000s.
      “I don’t really mention her in public, but in fairness to her, she has been a rock in my life. Just brilliant. She reads me better than I read myself,” Keane said.
      “I wouldn’t say Theresa likes every part of the package. She knows I haven’t got a halo over my head. Actually, that’s what she likes about me. She also knows I am not the nastiest person in the world.”
      FIVE CHILDREN
      Keane and Theresa have five children together, Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah and Alanna.
      Even though the former footballer has tasted plenty of success on the football pitch, nothing comes close to spending time with his family.

      In his autobiography, when writing about winning the Champions League in 1999, Keane said he “longed to go home to Theresa and the kids” and wasn’t interested in celebrating with his team-mates.
      However, despite his wish to spend more time with them after hanging up his boots, he previously admitted that they wanted him to get back to work after just two months.
      “My plan when I first stopped was, we’re going to go on some family trips, we’re going to be like the Waltons,” Keane joked.
      “We’re all going to spend time together, go walk in the park and after a month or two they didn’t have the same plan as me so I think they were kind of missing me going to work.
      “I got offered the job at Sunderland and I was away on a family holiday and my family were looking at me… not saying it directly but going we kind of enjoy your company but not too much of it so when the job came back up they were saying you should go for it.”
      MEET THE PARENTS
      Roy’s late father Maurice ‘Mossie’ Keane met his mum Marie at a local dance, and they married in 1963.
      They moved to the Mayfield suburb in Cork, where they raised five children, Denis, Johnson, Hilary, Roy and Pat.

      Keane always shared a close bond with his parents and regularly made sure they had tickets to watch his games at Forest and United.
      The generous son also bought them a home in the countryside in nearby Rathpeacon.
      In 2019, Keane was devastated when Maurice passed away after battling illness. He was 79.
      AS A PLAYER
      When Keane was a schoolboy, he began playing football for local side Rockmount AFC.
      From there, he moved to Irish First Division team Cobh Ramblers of County Cork in 1989.
      Keane was spotted by ex-scout Noel McCabe, who immediately recommended the talent to Brian Clough.
      After impressing on trial, he moved to Nottingham in 1990 and blossomed into one of the best young midfielders in the country.

      Sir Alex Ferguson brought Keane to Manchester United in 1993 for a British transfer record fee of £3.75million.
      Keane went on to become one of the Premier League giants’ greatest captains – winning seven Premier League titles, a Champions League, as well as four FA Cups.
      He retired in 2006, after one season in Scotland at Celtic where he played 10 times.
      IRISH FALLOUT
      Keane’s career has been rocked by scandal over the years.
      But nothing hurt more than missing the greatest football competition in the world in 2002.
      Keane played 65 times for Ireland between 1991-2005, but his international career is unfortunately remembered for his fallout with Mick McCarthy before the 2002 World Cup.
      Keane wasn’t happy with the Irish team’s set-up ahead of the prestigious football tournament and left the training camp.

      After a confrontation with McCarthy at the team hotel, he flew home and was famously quizzed by reporters about his acrimonious exit while walking his dog near his home.
      Without him, Ireland managed to reach the last-16 before they were beaten by Spain on penalties.
      AS A MANAGER
      Most recently linked with Celtic, Keane previous experiences have been varied in terms of being a success.
      In his first job as Sunderland boss, you could actually say he did well. He took over the Mackems in 2006 when they were second bottom of the Championship.
      In his first season, they managed to win the league and gain promotion. But he stood down from his post before Christmas – with Sunderland struggling in 18th position in the Premier League.

      Then came a spell at Ipswich, where he failed in a promotion bid and was sacked in 2011.
      Keane returned to the international fold as assistant manager to Martin O’Neill, and was a key member of the coaching set-up that saw Ireland qualify Euro 2016.
      O’Neill and Keane left their jobs after a series of inconsistent results left their jobs hanging by a thread – and reunited briefly at Forest in 2019.

      Most lucrative football shirt sponsorships with Man Utd falling below Real Madrid after £235m TeamViewer deal

      MANCHESTER UNITED have lost their place as the holders of the most-lucrative shirt sponsorship deal in world football.Back in February, the Red Devils announced global technology company TeamViewer will be their new shirt sponsor.

      The two parties agreed to a huge five-year deal worth £235million.
      However, the bumper deal is worth £16m LESS per year than former partners Chevrolet.
      That means Man Utd have dropped below Real Madrid as the owners of the most-valuable shirt deal in the world.
      Previously, United raked in a whopping £61m per year from American car giants Chevrolet.
      Until this year, that fee was even higher – at £64m – with the figure dropping after United agreed to extend the deal until the end of 2021 with potential suitors scared off by the coronavirus pandemic.
      Unfortunately for the Old Trafford giants their deal came to an end at an awful time, with companies – and football in general – hit hard by Covid.
      United will therefore be thrilled to have agreed to a deal worth £47m per year with TeamViewer.
      The Red Devils may have dropped down the rankings, but not by far – now joint-second with Barcelona, whose deal with Rakuten is also worth £47m annually.

      LOGAN PAUL has called out his own BROTHER Jake for a fight and claimed ‘he gets beat up by my sparring partners’. The pair of social media sensations have long rivalled each other through their YouTube channels but have now crossed it over to boxing.

      And despite regularly training together and showing their support when one another fights, the two are adamant they will one day share the ring.
      Things have now escalated after Jake, 24, accused Logan, 26, of being a ‘faker fighter’.
      And it led to the elder Paul once again challenging his little brother to prove who is the superior boxer.
      Logan said on his YouTube channel: “I fully support Jake whatever drama he wants to stir or create, it really doesn’t bother me.
      “Like, ‘Oh, you’re a fake boxer.’ Okay. Let’s box, because Jake is the kid that gets beat up by my sparring partners. That’s that kid.”
      Logan made his professional debut in 2019, losing to internet rival KSI, 27, by split-decision after being deducted two points.
      Jake on the other hand, has had four knockout wins, including leaving ex-NBA star Nate Robinson out cold and into a viral meme.

      Jake once accused his ex-partner Alissa Violet of getting together with Logan – and the brothers even made diss tracks about each other.
      In one video, called ‘The Fall of Jake Paul’, Logan says: “Uh oh, that’s Alissa Violet, used to be your chick. Now she in the Logang and you know she on my… team.”
      Despite the verbal warfare in 2017, the pair have since made up and Jake has helped his brother prepare for his fight against Floyd Mayweather.

      That is despite Logan astonishingly revealing they will one day be beating the s*** out of each other in what he says will be ‘one of the most historical fights ever’.
      He told Showtime: “My dad does not want us to do that. But I think it’s inevitable.
      “In two to four years’ time, I think Jake and I are going to be beating the s*** out of each other in a ring, and I think it’ll be one of the most historical fights ever.
      “The Klitschkos didn’t do it. They had a chance, right? Our mum tried to make us agree to never do that.
      “But you got the one tatted up problem child, and then you got the podcasting-Pokemon-collecting-apoxie-producing, f***ing whoever else I am.
      “So, that would be something.”

      LAST year, Bernie Ecclestone became a father for the fourth time at the grand old age of 89.The ex-Formula 1 boss and his third wife Fabiana, 44, welcomed baby Ace into their extravagant world.

      The new arrival makes for a remarkable family tree – starting with Bernie at the top, his children and then his grandchildren.

      BERNIE ECCLESTONE, 91
      The patriarch of the family, Bernie was born in Suffolk in 1930.
      Worth £2.5billion, Ecclestone had been associated with F1 since the 1950s – during the 1958 season he entered two Grand Prix races, but failed to qualify for either.
      In 1972 he became a team-owner, acquiring Brabham, which he ran for 15 years.
      Two years later, Ecclestone formed the Formula One Constructors Association, emerging as chief executive in 1978.
      In 2017, Bernie was removed from his position after the Formula One Group was taken over by Liberty Media.
      Not bad for the son of a fisherman, who left Dartford West Central Secondary School at 16 and first worked as an assistant in a chemical laboratory testing gas purity.

      IVY BAMFORD, FIRST WIVE
      Not much is known about Bernie’s early years, when he ran motorcycle shops and car dealerships.
      His first wife, a local girl called Ivy, was believed to be two years older than the businessman when they married in 1952.
      They welcomed daughter Deborah three years later, but the marriage fell to pieces and they drifted apart.
      It’s unknown if Ivy, who would be 91 today, is alive.
      SLAVICA RADIC, WIFE NO2
      Bernie married the 6ft 2in former Armani model Slavica in 1985, three years after they met at a promotional event at the Italian Grand Prix in Monza.
      Despite the height difference (Slavica stands a foot taller than Bernie), a language barrier, and an age gap of 28 years they remained married for 23 years.
      In 2009, she topped the Sunday Times’ Rich List in the “richest divorcees” category – getting a reported £740million settlement.

      FABIANA FLOSI, WIFE NO3
      Not much is known about the 44-year-old Brazilian.
      But Bernie met Fabiana in 2009 at the World Motor Sport Council, marrying three years later in a private ceremony at their £23million Swiss chalet in Gstaad.
      She helps run his coffee plantation in Brazil, where their brand Celebrity Coffee is produced.
      In 2016, her mum Aparecida Schunk was kidnapped and a ransom of £28million was demanded.
      Nine days later, she was found safe.
      In 2020, they welcomed their first son together, baby Ace.
      It has been reported she is line for a big role in F1 next season now that Mohammed Ben Sulayem has been elected FIA president.

      DEBORAH, ELDEST DAUGHTER, 66
      Deborah has preferred to stay out of the limelight, despite her famous family connection.
      The only child from Bernie’s first marriage, she is said to have followed her dad into business.
      It is believed she has two children of her own.
      However, their names and ages are unknown.
      TAMARA, 37
      Bernie’s first child with Slavica, Tamara has dabbled with modelling, presenting and reality TV.
      For the 2009 F1 season, she presented motorsport coverage for Sky Sports Italia.
      In 2011 she starred in Tamara Ecclestone: Billion $$$ Girl on Channel 5 and then in ITVBe’s Tamara’s World in 2017.
      In-between, the brunette beauty appeared nude in Playboy magazine.

      Her personal life was splashed across the front pages after an acrimonious £5.5billion divorce row with ex-husband James Stunt, who she split with in 2017.
