SunSport recently revealed that the in-demand midfielder could leave Dortmund for just £83million next summer.
That is if the entire fee is paid up front by one of the England international’s suitors.

The ex-Bimingham star acted accordingly and also turned down his Premier League suitors’ advances.
Real are looking to inject some youth into their midfield, which has been rock solid in the last few years with the star trio of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Casemiro, who left for United.
Modric, 37, and Kroos, 32, are both at an advanced age and their deals run out in June.
Los Blancos are now slowly paving the way for the likes of Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni and Federico Valverde to take over in the future.

Bellingham, whose Dortmund deal runs out in 2025, is seen as another major addition with the Madrid giants keeping tabs on him since 2019.

He has won LaLiga twice and the Champions League since his arrival from Penarol in 2016.
However, a fresh report has claimed that Arsene Wenger almost came close to bringing him to the Emirates.
AS says that Valverde had “reached a verbal agreement” with Arsenal when he was still at Penarol.
Wenger’s right-hand man Francis Cagigao had scouted the South American, and knowing how the Gunners needed to strengthen their midfield, recommended the ace to Wenger.

In fact, Cagigao watched him several times and allegedly convinced the player, his family and his agent that a move to Arsenal was the best one for him.
This report also adds that Valverde and his agent actually flew to London in December 2014 to spend six days at Sopwell House Hotel, which is near Arsenal’s Training Centre.
He trained with the first-team but the North London club decided to wait to table an offer.
And that proved to be a huge error as his mind was changed after he starred in the South American U17 Championship in Paraguay a couple of months later.

He scored seven goals at the tournament – with his exploits catching the eye of Real Madrid.
Arsenal had tabled an offer of £2.7million for the ace – but it was too little too late.
Madrid had already made their move and they soon convinced the then teen star to join them instead of heading to the Premier League.
He has gone on to score 10 times in 157 games for the club in all competitions.  More

However, he remained in the Spanish capital, only to be benched again for the start of the season. More

Chelsea ‘courted Real Madrid star Aurelien Tchouameni for years’ before Granovskaia opted for flop Saul Niguez

Chelsea’s recruitment department is under the spotlight after it was claimed they passed up the chance to sign French midfield dynamo Aurelien Tchouameni. In the summer of 2021, then Blues boss Thomas Tuchel wanted a midfielder to bolster a squad which had just won the Champions League.

Football London reports that YEARS of background work had already gone into cultivating a relationship with Tchouameni, who at that time still played for Monaco.
However, according to the Telegraph, when it was put to senior figures at the club such as Marina Granovskaia to make a decision on the transfer – they decided a loan deal for Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez was the better option.
The Spanish international utterly flopped at Stamford Bridge last season, while Real Madrid moved to snap up Tchouameni this summer in a deal that could eventually cost £87million.
However that already looks like snip as the 22-year-old powerhouse is gaining reputation as one of the world’s best players in his position.

His performances were one of the reasons Madrid were happy to let Casemiro go to Manchester United.
Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti praised his star after the weekend win over city rivals Atletico.

“He’s a spectacular player. It was difficult at first, but you can tell he feels very good.

Liverpool ‘will renew £85m transfer bid for Real Madrid star Fede Valverde after failing to land midfielder in summer’

LIVERPOOL have not given up hope of signing Real Madrid ace Fede Valverde, according to reports. The Reds had an £85million deal lined up for the Uruguay midfielder this summer and plan to bid again, according to AS.
Real Madrid’s Fede Valverde has caught the eye of a number of top clubs
The 24-year-old is the name on everyone’s lips again in LaLiga after scoring the winner in Sunday’s 2-1 derby win over Atletico Madrid.
It was his fifth goal already this season and Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has joked he should quit coaching if he cannot get ten goals out of him this term.
Last week Fede ran from his own half to score a sensational solo goal in a 4-1 victory against Mallorca.
That slaloming run was finished with a lovely left-foot shot from a player who has been operating brilliantly on the right-hand side of midfield for the Spanish giants.

Fede is also comfortable playing in a holding midfield role or at full-back and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big fan of his versatility.
The Reds are thought to have tested Real’s resolve with a huge bid late in the summer window.
But Los Blancos chiefs found the 11th-hour move for one of their crown jewels “offensive”, according to AS.
It would have been Real’s second biggest ever sale – after Cristiano Ronaldo’s £88m move to Juventus in 2018 – so their refusal to do business underlines how highly they rate the star.

Fede is likely to be a key weapon for a dark-horse Uruguayan side at this winter’s World Cup in Qatar.
That will see his high stock rise even further and make it more difficult for Liverpool to bring him in to reinforce their ageing and increasingly injury-prone midfield. More

Atletico Madrid 1 Real Madrid 2: Los Blancos win manic derby against 10-man rivals which is marred by vile racist chants

REAL’S return to the top of LaLiga was marred by large-scale racist chanting from Atletico fans at Vinicius Junior.Rodrygo and Federico Valverde earned victory before Atleti sub Mario Hermoso replied late on, only to see red in stoppage time.

Not a single security guard intervention in those disgusting chants. Atletico have not banned their Ultras the way Florentino banned Real Madrid’s. Let’s see what action the club takes. You can’t just chalk this up as a ‘few bad apples’ and let them go on. Ban them forever.— Kiyan Sobhani (@KiyanSo) September 18, 2022

Real joy, though, was overshadowed by “monkey” shouts from swarms of Atletico supporters before the match.
And claims hit social media of stewards doing nothing to stop the behaviour outside Atleti’s Wanda Metropolitano stadium.
Such anger over the chants lit the fuse for another fierce derby.
And Carlo Ancelotti’s men responded best, making it nine wins in nine games this season, their sixth in LaLiga.

Yet Atletico menaced twice early on in this heated clash.
Felipe headed Rodrigo de Paul’s free-kick over and Yannick Carrasco had a shot deflected wide.
But Real netted brilliantly on 18 minutes from their first chance.
In-form Brazil forward Rodrygo sublimely finished off Aurelien Tchouameni’s fine pass.

Valverde doubled the lead after Vinicius Jr’s shot came back off a post.
But Atletico improved after the break, helped by Hermoso coming on in the 72nd minute.
The Spain defender cut the deficit off his shoulder 11 minutes later after Thibaut Courtois flapped at a corner
But he was booked for dissent and soon harshly sent off for a second yellow card after shoving Dani Ceballos.
The pre-match racism, however, left a bitter taste.
And social media was blitzed by calls for Atletico to be punished.
One observer posted “I feel sick” and another stressed the number of offenders as he tweeted: “It’s f***ing thousands. I’m at a loss for words”.
