The 23-year-old has just over a year left on his contract with his current deal set to expire in the summer of 2024 after the club triggered a year extension recently.
The right back has been in excellent form this season and has established himself in the Portugal setup, starting three out of their five games at the World Cup.
United legend Cristiano Ronaldo was very impressed with the right back’s professionalism.
He said: “He’s one of the most professional youngsters I’ve ever met.”

Spanish outlet AS have reported that the Red Devils have been trying for months to get Dalot tied down to a new deal and don’t want to head into the summer with the player having 12 months left on his contract.
This has alerted Real Madrid who are in the market for a right back as they look for a long term successor to Dani Carvajal.
The report added that the Spanish champions could look to seek a reduced fee or sign the Portuguese on a free transfer like they did with David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger.
Dalot has made 60 appearances for Manchester United and has yet to find the back of the net.

The 23-year-old netted a cool opener against West Ham as he volleyed home Enzo Fernandez’s cross.
Felix impressed throughout the game despite the team ultimately failing to come away with three points.
And if his good performances are kept up for the rest of the season, Chelsea may pull the trigger to turn his loan move into a permanent one.

Klopp, 55, extended his deal with the Merseyside outfit in April last year as he agreed to remain in charge until 2026.
But Liverpool have dropped off significantly this season following a dreadful run of form.
The Reds sit 10th in the Premier League table as the pressure continues to ramp up on Klopp.
And while his seven-year stint at the club leaves him with a huge amount of credit in the bank, he could still be approaching the end of his Anfield reign.

According to El Nacional, Klopp leaving Liverpool would see Real Madrid swoop in for the former Borussia Dortmund coach.
Los Blancos boss Carlo Ancelotti has a contract to keep him in the Spanish capital until the end of the 2023/24 season.
But with Real trailing Barcelona by eight points in LaLiga, a campaign without major silverware – excluding the Club World Cup – would likely see Ancelotti depart.
And president Florentino Perez has always been an admirer of Klopp – who has worked wonders at Mainz, Dortmund and Liverpool.

It is being reported they would attempt to sign both Bellingham and Kylian Mbappe in a bid to drag Klopp to the Bernabeu.
Bellingham, 19, valued at more than £100million, has been heavily linked with a move to one of Europe’s giants.
Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are all thought to be interested in the England international.
He is expected to leave Dortmund this summer after three years at the club – where he has contributed 20 goals and 24 assists in 117 games.
And Klopp is a big fan of the teenage midfielder – who increased his price tag after a sensational World Cup.
Mbappe, 24, is another player Klopp is reportedly interested in.
The French superstar’s PSG future has been called into question after the Ligue 1 champions reportedly agreed to let him go in October.
He only signed a new deal last summer to keep him in Paris until 2025, but could still leave at the end of the season if Real stump up the cash. More

But the club were left stunned when Mbappe signed a new contract with PSG in the summer of 2022.
Now it appears a path to Real Madrid remains open despite the bitter fallout from that transfer row.
The Athletic report that the 24-year-old remains on their radar as the club plan for life after Ballon D’Or Karim Benzema.
Mbappe can leave PSG for free in 2024 if he does not activate the optional extra year clause in his contract.

He is not expected to leave the Parc des Princes this summer.
Madrid are believed to be keeping a close eye on how that situation plays out but have other options on the table.
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is also reported to be among the options that Madrid could look to attract.
But with reported exit clauses of £176m in 2024 and £154m in 2025, the striker promises to be among priciest of Madrid’s alternatives.

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard takes huge swipe at Real Madrid as he reveals reasons for quitting for Gunners

MARTIN ODEGAARD believes he may have got more of a chance at Real Madrid “if I’d been Spanish” and been given more time to develop.Odegaard was first lured to Arsenal by Arteta on loan from Madrid before making his move permanent in a £30million deal in the summer of 2021.

The Norwegian international, 24, has flourished since then and has helped the Gunners to race into a five-point lead this term at the top of the Premier League.
However, he first hit the headlines a mega NINE YEARS AGO when he burst onto the scene with Stromsgodset in his homeland aged just 15.
That caught the eye of Madrid, who swooped to bring him to the Bernabeu in 2015 and he went on to become the youngest player to ever represent the LaLiga giants.
However, he has explained how training with superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos but playing for their B team hindered his progress.

And he believes that if he was not a foreigner then he could have transitioned fully into a first-team regular there.
Speaking to The Players’ Tribune, Odegaard said: “They were all very kind, and the ones who spoke English — Kroos, Modric, Ronaldo — took extra care of me in the beginning. They gave me advice and helped me a lot.
“But honestly I don’t think any of them were particularly worried about a 16-year-old from Norway taking their place in the team.
“We made this plan with the club that I would train every day with the first team but get regular game time with the B team. It seemed like a smart plan at the time, but it worked out that I ended up not finding my place with either group.

“With the B team, I wasn’t with them regularly so I didn’t find that connection. In the first team, I was just some kid who came to train. I wasn’t involved in matches. I felt a bit like an outsider. I was stuck in between.
“I stopped playing with the spark that was typical of my game. I went a bit too safe for a time. I was worrying more about not making mistakes than actually playing my game.
“My game was always about making a difference. Playing the difficult pass. I can understand why it happened now. I was still a little kid, but I’ve learned that you have to be ruthless. You have to not give a f***. You have to show the real you on the pitch.”
After struggling for game time, Odegaard was sent out on loan to Holland with firstly Heerenveen and then Vitesse.
That was followed by a two-year stint back in Spain with Real Sociedad, where he helped the club to win the Copa del Rey in 2019.
He returned to the Bernabeu in 2020 but again struggled to make an impact, leading to his initial switch to the Emirates that following January.
Odegaard, whose should line-up for Arsenal against Brentford on Saturday, said: “After a couple of years, I just wasn’t progressing.
“The press came after me for not immediately living up to the hype. I was an easy target. If you really know me, you know I smile a lot, but I think from the outside sometimes my face looks more grumpy than I actually am! It made it easier for them to write about how I was struggling to adapt.
“I remember reading a headline like: “NOW IT’S MAKE OR BREAK TIME FOR MARTIN ODEGAARD” And I’m like, make or break? I’m 18 years old!
“Maybe If I’d been Spanish, I might have been given a bit more time to grow. Honestly, I don’t know. In the end, it’s just the nature of the hype machine. There is no in-between in modern football. You’re either the best signing in history, or you’re sh**.”
Odegaard, who also revealed how Arteta convinced him to sign for Arsenal, added: “Listen, I want to make it clear that I am not complaining about my time at Real Madrid. Not at all.
“Going to Madrid was a good thing for me. I learned so much about what it takes to reach the top. I watched, trained and learned from the best players in the world, my idols. I played at the Bernabeu. I learned to be tough and to face challenges. It’s part of who I am now. It’s the reason I’m where I am today.
    Read More on The Sun
“But when things got tough, I never lost sight of the bigger picture. In my head I was always like, How can I change? How can I get better? Because in the end, I will never be the guy who is happy to just train at the biggest club and maybe get a few minutes here and there.
“I was always thinking about what I needed to do to be the best version of me I could be. That’s why I needed to move on.” More
