His form could now earn him a move to the Emirates Stadium as Mikel Arteta looks to sign a new striker this month.
Ivan Toney was the Spaniard’s first-choice to galvanise his misfiring frontline.
However, Bees boss Thomas Frank has also warned off an approach and Brentford slapped a huge £100million asking price on the 27-year-old.
Instead, Arteta is now looking to La Liga for a cheaper alternative to his striker woes.

Mayoral was also tipped as a target for Brentford last month, as a potential replacement for Toney, with Fulham also linked.
But SunSport understands that it is the Gunners who have tabled a bid worth £22million for Mayoral.
Getafe have knocked back their initial offer as they hold out for closer to £39m for their star striker.
The 26-year-old has been followed closely by Arsenal since November after scoring 12 league goals for Getafe so far this term.

Only Jude Bellingham has outscored the former Spain under-21 international in La Liga, with Mayoral forming a strong partnership with Greenwood.
The pair have combined for three goals already, helping to fire Getafe to eighth in the table and within six points of the European places.
Mayoral completed a permanent move to the Deep Blues in 2022 after an initial loan spell.
He was previously linked with a Premier League move a year earlier, with Crystal Palace targeting the then Roma man.
Three years on, he could now be the answer to Arsenal’s issues in front of goal. More

Dier has hardly featured under Ange Postecoglou, starting just once this season.
With Tottenham beating Bayern to a deal for Genoa defender Radu Dragusin on Wednesday, Dier could be on the verge of sealing a Spurs exit.
According to Sky Sport Germany, Dier has emerged as one of the Bundesliga giants’ top targets.
He adds that Bayern would pay £3.5million for the out-of-favour ace.

And that Dier could agree an 18 month contract, with Bayern possessing an option to extend by a further 12 months.
The defender joined Tottenham from Sporting Lisbon in a £4m deal in 2014.
He has gone on to play 364 times for Spurs, including in the 2019 Champions League final.
During his time at Tottenham he has also earned 49 England caps, going to the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.

While he has been heavily linked with a move to Bayern, Dier trained with Spurs as normal on Wednesday.
In addition to Dragusin’s imminent arrival, Tottenham have announced the loan signing of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.
Upon joining Spurs, Werner said: “One-and-a-half years ago I left England, I watched the Premier League, not too much to follow every single club but Tottenham was always a club which I watched.
“When I joined my old club, I said I wanted to be a winner and I wanted to win titles at the end, and in the end we won the Champions League so I think it shouldn’t be too bad to say that I’ve come here to also win titles and to win something.”

The turnstiles are already in place and a giant Dortmund-like ‘wall’ is being created at one end.

Everton are splashing out £500million on the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium to replace Goodison Park, the first major football stadium built in England.
They have played at their current home since 1892 – with the ground hosting more top-flight matches than any other in the UK.
Talks over a ground share with Liverpool fell apart before Everton went ahead with planning their own new ground.
It is currently being referred to as the Everton Stadium – although that could change as and when a company buys the sponsorship naming rights.

Premier League star Harry Toffolo reveals he suffered panic attack after FA charges and cried in front of kids

HARRY TOFFOLO has confessed he fell to the floor and suffered a panic attack when he discovered the FA were charging him with historic betting breaches. The Nottingham Forest left-back feared his Premier League dream was over and confessed: “I was mortified and ashamed.

“My kids will never forget the day they saw their daddy cry.”
The 28-year-old Forest defender admits he crumbled last April after receiving an e-mail from the FA confirming they were charging him with 375 historic breaches of betting rules.
Toffolo was charged in the same year that Brentford striker Ivan Toney was banned from football for eight months for similar breaches of the FA’s tough betting protocols.
“I felt like I lost everything”, said Toffolo, who was cited over breaches relating to his time as an apprentice with Norwich City, which also took in loan spells at Swindon, Rotherham, Peterborough and Scunthorpe between 2014 and 2017.
    READ MORE FOOTBALL NEWS
“It was 100 per cent the most difficult part of not just my career, but of my life.
“When I got that email sent through from the FA I dropped on the floor and had a full-on panic attack.
    “I was mortified and ashamed.
“My kids will never forget the day they saw their daddy cry.”

Toffolo placed 15 bets against his own team at the time, the majority of which were accumulators.
He also placed two 25p bets on himself to score in the League One play-off final in 2015, which his Swindon team lost 4-0 against Preston.
It was not until he joined Lincoln in 2018 that Toffolo said he became aware that players were forbidden to bet on football and believed betting would help him “fit in” with senior players.
In an interview with BBC East Midlands Today, Toffolo said “it was how football was back then” and claimed many players lacked awareness of football’s issues with gambling.
Fortunately for the Forest defender, unlike Brentford’s Toney who was banned from football for eight months – and Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali who was banned for 10 months – the independent commission gave him a second chance.
They took account of the “considerable time” between the breaches and his charges and Toffolo’s show of “genuine remorse.”
They agreed the bets were made at a time when Toffolo’s “mental health was at a very low ebb” and, in September, decided to fine him £21,000 and give him a suspended five-month ban instead of an outright ban.
“That was the light at the end of the tunnel,” Toffolo declared.
“I was in the last year of my contract and I thought the dream I worked so hard to get was over because of what happened six to nine years ago.
“I have a lot of respect for the independent panel for listening to my story and taking everything into account.
“I don’t hold any grudges because I hated everything about that person I was and I didn’t want anything associated with that person.”
Toffolo is now an ambassador for Tricky to Talk – a Forest community project aimed at getting people to talk openly about mental health issues.

“I feel a sense of responsibility now to help and hope it never happens again to anybody else,” he said.
“I feel the most complete I have ever felt in my life at this moment in time, on the basis that I feel I have almost nothing to lose because I thought I had lost everything.” More

Does Kyle Walker have any children?
    Kyle Walker has four children.
He has three boys with his wife Annie — Riaan, Roman and Reign.
The couple keep their children out of the public spotlight, so there isn’t much information about them available.
Lauryn Goodman and Walker also have a son together named Kairo, who was born in April 2020.
    READ MORE ON KYLE WALKER
Goodman had a brief relationship with the footballer in 2019.
They conceived the youngster during their time together, when Kyle was temporarily split from his longtime partner Annie Kilner.
After Lauryn gave birth to Kyle’s son, Annie said in 2020: “What he has done to me and our children is obscene.”
    Who is Lauryn Goodman?
Lauryn Goodman, born on January 18, 1991, is an influencer, model and clothing brand owner.

She is the older sister of reality TV star Chloe Goodman, who appeared on shows including Celebrity Big Brother and MTV’s Ex On The Beach.
Lauryn is an Instagram model and goes by the handle @lauryngoodman91.
She also founded and runs her own fashion brand — Nineteen Clothing.
    Who has Kyle Walker dated?
Walker met Annie Kilner when he was 18 years old, while he was playing for his hometown side Sheffield United.
She was 16 at the time and working as a model.
In May 2019 Annie dumped Kyle for allegedly having a number of romps with Ex On The Beach’s Laura Brown.
Reality TV star Laura told a pal she and Walker hooked up in his £200,000 Bentley 4×4.
Laura says she then messaged model Annie about their trysts.
She confided to a pal: “I felt Kyle had exploited me by using his power and wealth.
“Because he is a rich footballer he felt that he could treat me how he wanted.
“One night I just decided to do the decent thing and tell Annie what Kyle had been doing.”
Laura told the pal she first met Walker on a night out in Manchester in September 2018.
She added: “The following day he messaged me online and we started chatting.
“But we first got together in March when he picked me up from my flat.
“We then drove to a back street where he parked up and we got into the back together.”
Laura then wrote to Annie: “He’s a rat.
“He was always funny and a nice guy to me but when I found out he was actually with u and kids I’m not that girl to keep seeing him I no (sic) you’ve been togther (sic) long time but it’s no excuse for him.”
When Annie demanded evidence, Laura forwarded a selfie sent to her by Walker, which showed the star in his front room.
And when Walker discovered the two women had chatted online, Laura claims he contacted her to say: “Messaged her have you?”
Lauryn Goodman also had a brief relationship with Walker in 2019 while he was separated from Kilner, with Lauryn giving birth to their son the following year.

After reconciling, Kyle and Annie got married following being together — aside from the odd separation — for 12 years.

Edwards, the former Tottenham youngster, is being considered alongside Jack Clarke and Ajax’s Steven Bergwijn.
Hammers boss David Moyes is short of quality up top after Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen limped off against Bristol City on Sunday.
Scans have shown that Paqueta could be sidelined for up to two months, though there is hope the Brazilian could return within six weeks.
There is better news on top scorer Bowen, who will be out for up to three weeks with his ankle injury.

Moyes is also without the threat of Mohammed Kudus, who is away at the African Cup of Nations with Ghana.

During his time at Everton, the Toffees won the FA Cup in 1995.
In a statement, Johnson’s family confirmed that he “died peacefully surrounded by his partner, Mel, and daughters, Susie, Kate and Charlotte.”
Upon hearing of Johnson’s death, Everton wrote on social media: “We are deeply saddened by the passing of Peter Johnson, our Chairman from 1994 to 1998 and for our FA Cup win in 1995.
“Our condolences go out to Peter’s family and friends at this sad time.”

Prior to his time at Goodison, Johnson began running Merseyside neighbours Tranmere.
During his time at Prenton Park, Tranmere rose from the fourth tier to the second.
In 1998 the FA outlawed the running of two teams by a single individual.
The following year Johnson sold his controlling stake in Everton to Bill Kenwright for £20million.

Johnson subsequently turned his attention back to Tranmere, before eventually selling them to former FA chief Mark Palios and wife Nicola in 2014.
Following Johnson’s passing, Palios said: “Peter became owner and Chairman just as I finished as a player at Tranmere, but our paths crossed professionally and socially on many occasions over the years, and the personal friendship grew stronger when Nicola and I took over the reins from him in 2014.
“He had a sharp business brain, an equally sharp wit, but also a deep sense of commitment to helping his local community.
“Without his intervention in the 1980s, there may well literally not have been a Tranmere Rovers today.
“Everyone who loves the Club owes him an enormous debt of gratitude and I will miss him hugely. Thank you for everything Peter, and God Speed.” More

His side are currently 10th in the Premier League but just three points adrift of seventh place.
Seventh spot was enough to secure Europa Conference League qualification last season.
The Telegraph report that Pochettino’s future is not in doubt at present with Chelsea still in the mix for European football.
That could change, though, if they miss out on a return to continental competition.

According to the report, the board are demanding an improvement on last season, which saw the Blues finish 12th, their lowest finish since 1994.
Pochettino can still secure European football through both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, though, as well as the league.
Despite Tuesday’s 1-0 loss away to Middlesbrough, his side can still reach the Carabao Cup final with victory in the second leg on January 23.
Winning the competition for the first time since 2015 would guarantee a place in next season’s Europa Conference League play-off round.

Meanwhile, an FA Cup triumph comes with passage into the Europa League’s league phase in 2024/25.
