As part of his interview with P1, he revealed that he is a lifelong Liverpool fan and regrets never being able to manage them professionally.
That caused Liverpool fans to launch a petition for Sven to manage the Reds in an upcoming charity match in March.
The game will see Liverpool legends take on Ajax legends, and he was asked about the offer on Good Morning Britain today.
Asked if he was aware of the petition, he said: “No, I didn’t know about that. I knew that I had a charity game in March, I think it is, and me and my son are invited to see that game and that might be great.

“There will be a lot of good football players there, but I should be their manager? No, I never heard that, I don’t know where that’s come from.
GMB host Susanna Reid then asked if he would accept the role and he said: “I would accept, of course.
“To coach Liverpool, that would be my dream. That’s always been my dream but I’m not complaining, I had a lot of good football teams, national teams and clubs so I’m happy.”

He led England for the 2002 and 2006 World Cup as well as Euro 2004.
Eriksson has revealed that he want to live the rest of his life positively and lead an “as normal” life as possible despite his terminal diagnosis.
He explained: “I have a lot of friends here in Sweden, of course, they’re coming to visit me.
“I go out, having a coffee with them, a lunch with them, things like that. I try to be normal. I’m travelling a little bit less than I did before, but I’m still travelling.
“I hope to come to England maybe to see England Brazil in March, that could be a game in the final of the World Cup but it is a friendly. We’ll see but I’m not complaining and I refuse to sit down and cry, feeling sorry about myself.” More

United battled Ange Postecoglou’s side to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.
Martinez, 25, came on just after an hour to replace Jonny Evans and did not waste time to return to his old form.
The defender stopped Richarlison from reaching an out-swinging cross that was heading towards Alejandro Garnacho near the box, by shoving the Brazilian down to the ground.
And United fans were over the moon to have Martinez’s assistance as they took to social media to sing his praise.

One supporter said: “Martinez leaving one on Richarlison. It’s so good to have him back.”
While another added: “We’ve missed Martinez so much.”
A third then put: “Hence they call #licha the butcher🔥.”
Ten Hag’s side took the lead against Tottenham after just three minutes with Rasmus Hojlund’s strike before Richarlison levelled the scoreline 16 minutes later.

Marcus Rashford restored United’s lead just before the break but Rodrigo Bentancur’s goal early into the second half left both sides with one point.
Martinez has suffered with two foot injuries over the last 12 months.
In April last year he went down in the Europa League quarter final against Sevilla and had to have surgery on a broken metatarsal.
He then required a second operation on his foot in October last year from another injury setback after United 3-1 defeat to Arsenal.
Martinez will now hope to restore the Red Devils as they fight their way up the table for a spot in Europe next term. More

Scott McTominay also spurned a late opportunity to win the game as the match ended 2-2.
But there were plenty of positives for Ten Hag to take from the clash, including forwards Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford getting on the scoresheet.
After the game the Dutchman enjoyed a candlelight dinner with Vos at an Italian restaurant called La Famiglia in Hale Village, Cheshire.
It has been a busy period for the United boss after meeting new investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford earlier this month.

Ratcliffe was in attendance at Old Trafford for the Spurs clash and sat alongside Sir Alex Ferguson.
He had his head in his hands at one point but Ten Hag’s position as manager is thought to be safe for the foreseeable future.
That is because Ratcliffe is planning a detailed structural review which will likely take up to two months.
Ratcliffe and Brailsford want to do a huge audit of the football side of the club in an attempt to grasp the “performance challenge” on their hands.

A new sporting director and director of football will likely be brought into the club, with Ineos drawing up a list of candidates.
John Murtough is the current football director but he is at risk while Darren Fletcher is the technical director.
Brailsford is claimed to favour a swoop for former Liverpool transfer guru Julian Ward.

I’m ex-Man Utd star who Fergie signed without watching, now I’m starring at Afcon after switching nationality

SIR ALEX FERGUSON’S signing of Bebe for Manchester United in 2010 is one that continues to live on in infamy.United paid Portuguese third division side Vitoria de Guimaraes £7.4million to sign the winger – despite Ferguson admitting he had never watched him play.
Little was known about Bebe when he signedCredit: Dave Pinegar – The Sun
But he is now starring at Cape VerdeCredit: AFP
Bebe’s signature was instead suggested by Ferguson’s trusted confidante and former assistant Carlos Quieroz.
The signing never really worked out, with Bebe playing just seven times for the club before being sold to Benfica.
He then spent some wilderness years jumping from club to club on loan and rarely playing, including at the likes of Benfica and Cordoba.
But at 33 now, Bebe finally appears to have found his feet and is experiencing a career renaissance.

The winger has been playing regularly for Madrid-based side Rayo Vallecano, who are currently 11th in LaLiga.
The club were, until last season, managed by Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola.
And his performances there have seen him earn a call-up to Cape Verde to represent them at Afcon this year.
Bebe’s story before becoming a footballer is a remarkable one, spending much of his childhood in Portugal growing up in a homeless shelter.

He was still living in shelters just prior to his move to United in 2010.
And having grown up in Portugal, he did initially represent them at international level.
But he was allowed to switch to Cape Verde in 2022 after not appearing in the nation’s first team.
Since then he has made 11 appearances for their first-team, scoring four goals.
And Cape Verde got off to the dream start in their opening Afcon game last night when they beat Ghana 2-1 thanks to a last minute goal from substitute Garry Rodrigues.
The side have their work cut out in getting out of the group, with Mohamed Salah’s Egypt the favourite to get out of Group B – but beating Ghana is a huge first step. More

Late twist in Hannibal Mejbri transfer as Sir Jim Ratcliffe ‘insists on last-minute change to loan deal from Man Utd’

HANNIBAL MEJBRI touched down in Spain ahead of his move to Sevilla – but it has left fans heartbroken despite a late change in the deal. The midfielder is set to finish the season with the LaLiga side, who have an option to make it permanent for £17million.

He was filmed arriving in Seville airport with a smile on his face – but United supporters were less than impressed.
One said: “This makes me sad.
“He’s so much better than Eriksen physically and so much better than McTominay technically, yet he’s the one Ten Hag has thrown out of the door”
Another added: “If he’s sold I have no words, kids gonna be wicked.”

One raged: “Another big mistake. Hannibal certainly has what it takes to make it at this club and has been forced out.
“I don’t have a problem with a simple loan but that buy option is ridiculous.”
Mejbri, 20, has struggled for game time this season with only 11 appearances and just five starts.
So United decided to potentially cash in on the Frenchman by sanctioning his move to Sevilla.

But according to Fabrizio Romano, there was a late twist in the deal as owners INEOS insisted on including a back clause before approving the deal.
So fans were quick to hail their new ownership, led by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
One said: “INEOS is saving us big time. Finally a buy back clause in this deal. Would have liked a simple loan without buy option but it is what it is.”
Another agreed: “Someone used their brain and added in a buy back!
“I’m not used to the club making smart decisions, let’s hope it continues and isn’t just a one off.”

Roy Keane brings Spurs crashing back down to earth after Man Utd draw and rants ‘even the bus driver is getting praised’

Keane, 52, was on punditry duties for Sky Sports’ Super Sunday yesterday – including Spurs’ 2-2 draw away at Manchester United.
Tottenham twice came from behind against Erik ten Hag’s struggling side, thanks to goals from Richarlison and Rodrigo Bentancur.
The Bentancur strike came within seconds of the restart after half-time, meaning new United minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe missed it.
Spurs had more shots, dominated possession and overall were the better team in the Premier League clash.

But they were unable to find a winning goal at Old Trafford.
So the former Red Devils skipper was in no mood to buy into the Ange Postecoglou love affair.
Straight-talking Keane said: “Spurs are having a very good season. ‘Spurs were this, Spurs were that…’ They drew the game.
“They didn’t come and win at Old Trafford. It was a draw.”

Jamie Redknapp chipped in that Tottenham are missing a host of players.
But Keane hit back: “Man United are missing some players.
“It’s amazing when we do a TV game, we end up speaking for an hour about players who weren’t here.
“It’s about the players who were out there.
“If you want to be a big club, you have to deal with setbacks.”
Keane – who earlier slammed Andre Onana for his involvement in Richarlison’s goal – continued: “Tottenham were the better team, yeah.
“But we can’t sit here and go overboard on Spurs and say Spurs are outstanding.
“We heard from the manager, he’s obviously going to praise his players.

“The staff got praise, the coaches, the bus driver got praise, everyone’s getting praise.
“Listen, it was against a poor Man United team who are in a difficult place. It was 2-2. Everyone relax.”
And the brilliant rant went down a storm with some rival fans of Tottenham.
One Arsenal supporter said: “Thank God for Roy Keane.
“The only piece of REALITY that lives on that channel. “Redknapp, the a***-kisser extraordinaire firmly told to calm the f*** down.”
Another quipped: “I put it on at half-time on @5liveSport. It was incredible. Spurs were basically Real Madrid. Imagine how shocked I was to find out at that point that Utd were actually in the lead.”
A third added: “He’s actually so bang on calm down everyone. Spurs dominated the ball yesterday but created very very little! Utd were there for the taking spurs didn’t do enough and were very very lucky not to get beat with the chance at the end!”
A fourth joked: “Everyone is talking about Tottenham missing players but look at the amount of trophies they are missing.”

Beckham was left requiring stitches above his left eye after being struck by a stray boot kicked by Ferguson in the dressing room.
Over two decades on, Keane has now shed some new light on the incident.
The former United captain was speaking on Sky Sports from inside the Old Trafford dressing room ahead of their match against Tottenham.
He explained: “I think Becks was over there somewhere, somewhere there by the mirror.

“I think the manager had a go at him for not tracking back and I think Becks said something back.
“It was an accident. He struck it well, but he was so unfortunate, honestly.
“If it was anybody else it would have been fine but because it was Becks at the time, and obviously Becks was so high profile, and like Jamie [Redknapp], a good-looking guy, that created one or two issues.
“But that all happens in dressing rooms. I used to love all that stuff.”

It later emerged that Ferguson had been targeting a pile of clothes on the changing room floor during one of his notorious hairdryer treatments.
Regardless, Beckham was later snapped with stitching above his eye as a result of the incident.
The former England star admitted in his tell-all Netflix series last year that he went to attack Ferguson after he kicked the boot at him.
Sharing the story, he said: “I went like that,” and gestured putting his hand to his forehead and realised he was bleeding, before getting out of his seat and saying “and then like that” to indicate how he lunged for Ferguson. More
