Spurs have joined the transfer race for Nusa who the Belgian giants are demanding £25million for.
The deal must include a guarantee that he stays in North London for the rest of the season.
Brugge rejected a £23m offer from Chelsea on deadline day in the summer.
But any possible switch could see Nusa loaned back to the Belgian side – in a similar manner to the previous signings of Destiny Udogie and Pape Matar Sarr.

Both those players were signed by Udinese and Metz respectively then farmed straight back to the selling club.
And now they are starting regularly in the first-team – and that would be the long-term hope for winger Nusa.
Born in the southern village of Langhus, Nusa came through at Oslo outfit Stabaek before joining Brugge in 2021.
Despite his tender years, he has already racked up 52 appearances for Brugge and scored five goals – and has played in the Champions League.

He also has four caps for his country and one goal, in a squad that also includes Oscar Bobb, Martin Odegaard and, of course, Erling Haaland.
Spurs were tracking Nusa in the summer, along with Brentford, but are now ready to act to beat rivals to one of Europe’s most exciting young talents.
But Spurs will not just face London rivals Chelsea as clubs across Europe are reportedly interested in the youngster.
Ange Postecoglou is keen to bolster his frontline in the January transfer window.
He has already recruited ex-Chelsea striker Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig earlier this month.
And they have also signed centre-back Radu Dragusin on loan from Genoa. More

Roy Keane reveals award he was ‘not proud of’ winning as Man Utd legend opens up on awkward ceremony

For the 1999-2000 season, the former midfielder was handed the prestigious award after leading the Red Devils to their sixth Premier League title in eight years.
It was an award-winning weekend for the Irishman who was handed the Football Writers’ prize just days before.
But the 52-year-old revealed on Gary Nevilles’s Stick to Football podcast brought to you by Sky Bet that he felt it was a little too late to get the trophy.
He said: “I swear to God I’m not proud to win the PFA Award! What did you want me to do?

“I had to go and pick it up – it was a lovely touch Sir Alex being there!
“It was a shocking speech at the time, but if I hadn’t won it, I wouldn’t have been upset and gone, ‘I should have won it’.
“I would have rolled with it. I probably should have won it the three previous years!”
In the 1996-97 season, United were victorious in the Premier League and won the Community Shield 4-0 against Newcastle which saw Keane score the fourth goal.

And at the start of the 1997-98 season, Keane was handed the captaincy after Eric Cantona’s unexpected retirement.
The midfielder’s first term in the new role did not go how he expected as he was sidelined for most of it with an ACL injury.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s side fell short of winning any title after finishing second in the league and crashed out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals.
But United did not fail to impress the following term as Keane led the Manchester outfit to a historic treble in the 1998-99 season. More

Everton warned they face THIRD Premier League points deduction for breaking financial rules next season

EVERTON have been warned they face a THIRD Premier League charge for breaking financial rules NEXT season. The Goodison club are outraged that they were charged after admitting to breaching Profitability and Sustainability Rules last season.
    EvertonCredit: Getty
That came with the Toffees appealing against the 10-point deduction imposed in November for breaches in 2021-22.
But football finance expert Stefan Borson, who pointed out that Everton were entirely aware of the Premier League rules, suggested the news is set to get WORSE.
Borson told talkSPORT: “In the written reasons for the first breach sanction, the independent commission hinted that Everton failed for 2022-23.
“It said in the adjudication that the trend for last season was not positive for Everton.
    READ MORE IN FOOTBALL
“So, it’s no major surprise that Everton have failed as well.
“And to be honest, when you look at the numbers, they’re probably going to fail for 2023-24 as well. So there’s another charge that would come their way.”
Borson, who previously worked for Manchester City before the Abu Dhabi takeover, explained: “Do the maths on what a failure in 2022-23 must infer about their losses for the period to the end of June 2023.
“It must infer that they had a PSR loss of £85million because in the other two years the loss was only around £20m.

“That means that the PSR loss that must be there, that we haven’t seen yet, for 2022-23, must be £85m.
“So when you knock off the third year back, 2020-21, the Covid year from the calculation, when you’re doing the assessment that’s coming for this season, that means they’re going to have to balance it and have a zero loss.
    “And that’s impossible.”
Borson, who believes the appeal is “unlikely to materially reduce” the initial penalty – given that the commission found that Everton, who eventually admitted the breach, had “misled” Prem chiefs – added: “You just have to look at the numbers.
“They may not even be in the Premier League, so it may not even be a relevant factor.
“They won’t be worrying about PSR for 2023-24 if they’re in the Championship.
“But Everton’s management of this situation has been ridiculous.”
And the expert said the responsibility for Everton’s parlous state could only be laid at the feet of owner Farhad Moshiri and the club board.
He said: “Any of these owners that have recklessly breached rules they themselves voted for are responsible.
“Not Moshiri personally. But Everton as a club.
“In 2013 it was obvious to anybody that understood Financial Fair Play that Everton were voting for something that would be used against them over time.
“It would restrict their abilities to compete at the very top of the game and would restrict their ability for a new owner to come in and buy them and invest in them in the way that had happened at City and Chelsea.
    READ MORE SUN STORIES
“So it was obvious. But they went ahead and supported the bigger clubs who wanted it for, in my view, their own protection.
“And you can’t go round recklessly breaching the rules and then just be surprised when you get a very harsh sentence.” More

And he is already taking ideas from three of the Premier League’s best managers in Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta and Roberto De Zerbi.
Fabregas, 36, told Sky Sports: “I study other coaches.
“Not the coaches themselves but their philosophies. I am just at the beginning and do not pretend I know everything.
“At the moment, De Zerbi, Guardiola and Mikel Arteta are the three I follow in the Premier League and get most ideas from.”

The reveal was music to Blues fans’ ears as one said: “Cesc will lead us to greatness in a few years time.”

Meanwhile, Guardiola is a five-time Premier League winner while his former protege Arteta has taken Arsenal to title contenders.
And De Zerbi has won praise for his creative style of play at Brighton – who are above Chelsea in the table – and has even been linked with Real Madrid.
Fabregas finished his playing career at Como and then took on a coaching role having invested in the club with Thierry Henry.
He was interim manager but stepped down in December so that he can finish off his Uefa coaching licence.
Chelsea legend Dennis Wise is the club’s president and together with Henry, the trio are looking at a long-term project.
Fabregas said: “It is something that brings more fire inside of the belly because this is a project where there are so many wins, not only on the pitch.
“There are so many things we want to do. We are trying to grow. The people taking care of the club are so ambitious.
“We just moved to a new training ground. We want to improve it to make the players as comfortable as possible.
“It is very exciting because the stadium is a big part of the project too. We are looking at the best stadiums in the world to see what we can do here.”

Kalvin Phillips ‘very favourable’ towards Barcelona loan but Premier League club leads transfer race for Man City ace

Phillips is looking for a way out of the Etihad Stadium after a lack of game time since his move from Leeds United in 2022.
While Barca battle for the 28-year-old’s signature the Blaugrana’s financial woe – which has been long known – could stand in the way of the transfer.
Phillips is said to be aware of the club’s economic crisis and has delayed his decision on what club to move to as he “sees Barcelona option very favourably”, according to Spanish outlet Sport.
The move can only be finalised if the Catalonian giants can secure the player on a free loan having only to pay for the transfer fees.
    READ MORE TRANSFER NEWS
However, Moyes’ Hammers are ready to splurge the cash in January which could turn Phillips’ head away from La Liga.
West Ham’s hefty offer for the defensive midfielder can expect to convince Man City to send the Englishman to East London.
Crystal Palace, Newcastle, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also reportedly interested in rivalling Xavi’s side.
The only way for the midfielder to make a move to Camp Nou is for the club to complete the sale of 49 per cent of Barcelona Studios for £171million – £42million of which would be redirected to sign a new player.

A move to the Spanish side would guarantee Phillips Champions League football and also a run for the La Liga title.
Fans will now wait for the Man City forgotten man as he is likely to hold out on his decision on a move until the last few days of the January transfer window.
The England international will need to leave Pep Guardiola’s side if he wants to rake up his game time in the second half of the term.
Phillips will be fighting alongside the rest of the Three Lions squad for a spot on Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad this summer. More
