The pundit earns a living with his brutal assessments of Premier League stars but this time he put himself under scrutiny and didn’t pull any punches when looking back at his disastrous date with wife Theresa Doyle.
Keane and Theresa met while he was starting out at Nottingham Forest at a time when he insists he wasn’t interested in “chasing women” and preferred “a night out with the lads”.
The 51-year-old picked her up in his car and drove around while trying to decide what they would do.
The legendary United captain suggested the movies and a drink but she turned down those ideas.

That is when the former Republic of Ireland international had enough and decided to drive her back after just 15 minutes.
The ex-midfielder explained to her exactly why he was cutting the date short but still thought there would actually be a second until she “slammed the door” at him.
But strangely enough there were many more dates after that as the couple have been married for 26 years.
Keane said: “It went very badly. We met, I picked her up at the City Ground at Forest and we went for a spin.

“I said to her, ‘Do you fancy going to the pictures?’ Because at least at the pictures you can just watch the movie, you don’t have to chat too much, and she said no!
“She said, ‘No, I went last night with my friends.’ And I said, ‘Well, there are other movies on’.
“I said do you want to go for a drink and she said no… I literally drove back to the car, this was all within 10, 15 minutes and she said, ‘What are you doing?’
“I said, ‘Well you don’t want to go for a drink, you don’t want to go to the pictures, what else can we do?’
“And she got out [of the car], I said, ‘I might see you next week?’ She said, ‘I don’t think so’ and slammed the door. That was our first date and we’re still married!”
Keane and Theresa have five children together, Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah and Alanna.
They also has two grandkids – a grand-daughter and grand-son. More

But director of football John Murtough put the brakes on supporters’ expectations.
Murtough said at a fans’ forum in December: “While we will be exploring options, I don’t expect it to be a busy January window.
“January is a difficult time to find players that teams are willing to let go.
“It’s no secret that we’re looking for a new centre-forward.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
“We’ll see what’s possible in January but we only want to bring in players who are good enough, and who will make the squad stronger.
“We’re not going to sign players for the sake of making signings.
“You also need to remember that we invested over £200million in the squad last summer and, as a club, we need to remain financially disciplined and compliant with FFP rules.
“As always, the main focus remains on the summer window, and we’re already well under way with our planning for next summer.”

Some fans were furious with the comments, though.
One replied: “Total rubbish they are basically writing off another season when United are in the top four and in all their cup competitions.
“Last year it was waiting for our new manager in the summer, do these people think our fanbase is believing their spin.”
Another said: “Load of nonsense. Simply passing the buck and saving more pennies for the [Glazers].
And a third added: “Can’t wait for this man to be sacked – couldn’t learn from the troubles of last season.”
New manager Erik ten Hag oversaw huge spending in the summer to bring in Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia, Antony and Lisandro Martinez for more than £200m.
But the Dutchman has made it clear he still wants to bring in further recruits, especially after slamming the club’s recent record in the window.
Ten Hag said: “The club has bought an unimaginable number of players in recent years who have not been good enough.
“Most purchases have been average – and at United average is not good enough.
“United’s shirt weighs heavily. Only real personalities, who can perform under great pressure, can play here.”
The club were interested in landing Holland World cup star Cody Gakpo but he joined Liverpool for £37m instead.
Joao Felix continues to be linked with a loan move while an Old Trafford return for Memphis Depay’s remains on the cards.

But in terms of genuine No9s, the latest player targeted by United is Burnley’s Wout Weghorst.
The 30-year-old is currently on loan at Besiktas in Turkey but the deal could be terminated to allow a temporary move to the Theatre of Dreams. More

I’m Liverpool’s youngest-ever player but 10 years on I own a FRIED CHICKEN shop in Birmingham after latest club axed me

LIVERPOOL’S youngest ever player now owns a fried chicken shop and has been without a club for more than a year. The 26-year-old made his Reds debut in 2012 at the age of 16.

He later moved to Watford but has been without a club since 2021Credit: Reuters
He was a second-half substitute brought on by Brendan Rodgers against West Brom in a League Cup tie.
And although he only made five appearances for Liverpool, he did get a goal – against Exeter in the 2015-16 FA Cup.
The player in question is Jerome Sinclair, who exited Anfield for Watford in 2016.
He spent five years with the Hornets but made just 12 appearances – and had five different loan spells in that time.

Sinclair was released by Watford in 2021 after scoring just one goal in 18 games for CSKA Sofia in his last loan spell.
The striker has been without a club since then and has turned his attention to other business ventures.

In July last year he became owner of a Birmingham branch of fried chicken shop chain Morley’s.
The company announced: “Morley’s coming to Birmingham this month. We’re Loading! Welcome to the Morley’s Family Jerome Sinclair 🤝.”

In his heyday Sinclair drew comparisons to Raheem Sterling after he was signed from West Brom for £200,000 aged only 14.
Reflecting on his start at Liverpool, Sinclair said: “Everything happened so quickly.
“I was in year 11 at the time. My first session with the first team at Melwood was the best I’ve had in my life — everything I touched was a goal. I was just so happy to be there. Rodgers called me over and said, ‘I really like you, you’re going to be up here more’.
“Then, at the hotel, I found out I was on the bench against West Brom. Lots of the boys I played with there were ball boys that night. I’ll never forget that moment when the gaffer said, ‘You’re coming on’. At 16, I had no fear.”
Ex-Liverpool star Adam Morgan, who played alongside Sinclair, compared the striker to Raheem Sterling: “I was two years older but he would play up an age group at the academy.
“To be honest, with us both being strikers, I’d look at him and think, ‘F***ing hell, I’ve got to up my game with him around!’.
“He could play out wide or through the middle. I appreciated the talent of someone who scored so many goals. He was similar to Raheem Sterling. They were both bought around the same age and the academy staff had high hopes for them both.
“Jerome was a sound lad with lots of potential. I can’t see that record of his as Liverpool’s youngest player ever being beaten.”

“You just keep doing what you are doing, we will find the pennies.”
The 52-year-old has confirmed that he would like to bring in a forward this month following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
He said: “Two things. Impulse can come out of our own club. See Garnacho, see Elanga, see Pellistri, who made a good impression at the World Cup and also in training. That is first.
“Second, yes, we are aware we lost a striker, so I think we have to get a striker in, but it has to be the right one.
“The right one is a player that brings quality to the team, not just adding to the squad because that only gives you problems.
