The White and Blues are third in the table, just three points behind first place Barcelona, while the club are still going strong in the Europa League.

Pep Guardiola vows to QUIT Man City if club ‘doesn’t move forward’ amid fears players have lost hunger

MANCHESTER CITY manager Pep Guardiola has vowed to quit the club amid concerns his players have lost their hunger to win the title again. The Spaniard has guided City to four Premier League triumphs in his six seasons in charge.

After winning two on the bounce, his seventh at the helm is not going to plan as they sit five points behind leaders Arsenal.
Man City beat Tottenham 4-2, coming from two goals down to win and after the game Guardiola launched an incredible rant slamming his players.
He has now revealed that his fear and anger is based on an experience he had during his playing days at Barcelona, also claiming he would leave City if it’s the change needed.
Guardiola said: “I won four LaLiga titles in Spain in a row and it was not the same going for the fifth.

“I was not starving enough — too much caviar. Real Madrid beat us to the league that year.
“I understand how my players feel but I am here to stop it. The chairman knows that.
“I want to be here otherwise I would have not have signed [a new contract earlier this season].
“But if I lose the team, I lose something. I can not be here. The club has to move forward.

“These goals we have given away like the second against Manchester United are not acceptable.
“Our fans want the second half against Spurs more often. This is what we have to do.”
Despite victory at the Etihad over Antonio Conte’s side, Guardiola was left fuming by the first-half display also turning on City fans.
Asked what was lacking he said: “Guts, passion, fire, desire to win from minute one. The same with our fans, they are silent for 45 minutes.”
Guardiola has made plenty of changes to his starting XI lately, dropping past favourites like Joao Cancelo, Phil Foden, Kyle Walker and even Kevin De Bruyne for the Spurs fixture.
Newer players like Jack Grealish, Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji and Erling Haaland have enjoyed runs in the team as they potentially still have the desire that the manager demands. More

The American duo bought 18 per cent each of Crystal Palace in 2015, but have since reduced their combined stake in the Eagles to under 20 per cent.
They tried to buy Chelsea last year, only to miss out to compatriot Todd Boehly.
The Glazers finally buckled to fan pressure and put the club up for sale, following a series of protests.
But according to the Mail, it is “unclear” whether they will seek a “total sale” of the club.

Financial experts value the Red Devils at an eye-watering £7billion, which could put off potential buyers and make a partial sale more likely.
Should this be the case, Harris and Blitzer could look to make a bid for a stake in the club that would still see the Glazers remain majority shareholders.
Harris and Blitzer own a network of sports teams in the US.
They control the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA and New Jersey Devils in the NHL.

Billionaire Man United fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to buy his beloved club.
But Britain’s richest man will NOT be held to ransom and will demand a fair market price for the Old Trafford outfit.
Suggestions of an asking price of between £6bn and £8bn for a club that cost £790m when Malcolm Glazer took control in 2005 had indicated that a Middle East state’s Sovereign Wealth fund might be the most probable purchaser.
But it has now emerged that, despite the figures being quoted, Ratcliffe DOES want in – as long as he is not being ripped off.
Speaking about his interest in United in October, prior to the Glazers publicly signalling their intent to sell, Ratcliffe said: “The club is deeply etched in my mind.
“I have met Joel and Avram (Glazer), who are the nicest people, proper gentlemen, really nice people – and they don’t want to sell.
“If it had been for sale in the summer, yes, we would probably have had a go, following on from the Chelsea thing.
“But we can’t sit around hoping that one day Manchester United will become available.”
