“Fans and fan groups including MUST and TRA have long campaigned for us to remove the executive seats from the heart of the Stretford End and to make them standard tickets and, therefore, more accessible to all fans.

Gary Neville open to signing petition getting HIMSELF banned from commentating on Arsenal matches for Sky Sports

GARY NEVILLE joked he would be willing to sign a petition banning HIMSELF from commentating on Arsenal matches. The former Manchester United defender, 47, is one of the main men with the microphone for Sky Sports.

But with his connections to the Red Devils, some viewers reckon he can slip into being biased.
And during Arsenal’s dramatic 3-2 win over Neville’s beloved United on Sunday, a Twitter account suggested the idea of a Neville embargo when the Premier League leaders play live on Sky.
The Arsenal Therapy Show tweeted: “Like this tweet if you would sign a petition to have @GNev2 banned from commentating on Arsenal games.”
The post has received more than 17,000 likes already.

And it got further traction when Neville brilliantly retweeted it and quipped: “I will sign it 🙋🏻‍♂️!
“Thought I was fair yesterday as well 😂”
The tweet prompted a mix of comments in the replies below.
One said: “Thought Gary was very fair yesterday, had excitement in his voice for Arsenal’s goals which I found refreshing.”

Another wrote: “A tricky job to pull off with your love and emotions towards United, Gary. In all honesty, you did alright and take the banter well. Credit to you.”
But a third added: “Honestly I don’t knock you, you are a true United fan but watching an important match with the commentator a passionate United fan came through badly, no matter how hard you tried.”
Neville understandably got excited when Marcus Rashford blasted in his smart opener before Arsenal hit back through Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka’s stunner.
Lisandro Martinez levelled it up with a looping header but Nketiah grabbed a last-gasp winner to restore Arsenal’s five-point lead at the top if the table.
A video of Neville allegedly reacting to Nketiah’s flick in the 90th minute spread on social media – but the commentator confirmed the footage was from a different day.
But even after racking up a staggering 50 points by the halfway mark of the season, Neville still does not believe Arsenal will be lifting the Premier League trophy by the end of May.
He said: “I don’t see them going on to win the league.
“I think Manchester City will win the league because I just think they’ve got a special run in them.
“I think that at a point in the season Arsenal will lose one or two matches and City will be right on their shoulders and it will become very difficult for them.

“But they could win the league. And to be honest with you, to say they could win the league… I thought they would be nowhere near winning the league, Arsenal, I can’t believe they’re in the chat.
“The fact they’re in the chat of winning the league is incredible so it’s not a negative thing for me to say I think City will win the league because that’s what we all said probably at the start of the season.” More

The Sky Sports pundit, 47, had last week predicted that Mikel Arteta’s side would not be crowned Premier League champions this season.
He predicted that Man City would pip them and that United would eventually finish second.
But as he was filming his latest episode of his Sky Sports podcast with Martin Tyler in the gantry after full-time, things got a little worrying for the ex-England defender.
As he was speaking, a supporter shouted something at Neville over his shoulder, leading to him saying: “I think there’s some Arsenal fans having a little bit of a pop.”

He then turned around and said: “You alright, lads? Are Arsenal going to win the league?
“I don’t think you will! But that’s life! But you’re having a great season, well done.”
Both Neville and Tyler started laughing, but the former’s tone soon changed as fans continued to shout at him.
He said: “I don’t know whether it’s going to turn a little bit nasty, this, from a little bit of good humour.”

Neville managed to keep his composure as a fan dangled a scarf directly behind him before his hecklers eventually departed and allowed him to continue.
It comes just a week after Neville stated his belief that Arsenal’s charge to the title would soon collapse.
He told Sky Sports: “They won’t win the league. Manchester City will win the league, and I think Man Utd will finish second, and I know that will annoy Arsenal fans.
“I think at some point Man City will hit a run. Once they do, they’ve got to play Arsenal twice. At some point, there will be a very difficult period for Arsenal this season.
“Is it conceivable that Arsenal are going to continue as they are? I don’t think it is.”
Over 16,000 supporters have now liked a tweet from “The Arsenal Therapy Show” calling for Neville to be banned from the Emirates.
But after noticing the numbers, Neville was a good sport this morning and replied on Twitter: “I will sign it. Thought I was fair yesterday as well.” More

‘He just doesn’t beat anyone’ – Rio Ferdinand slams £85.5m Man Utd star Antony after dismal showing in defeat to Arsenal

And he was hauled off around the 70-minute mark for the second time in five days.
Antony contributed just one attempt on goal and one key pass as he struggled to make a difference going forward.

In fact, he had only one more touch than goalkeeper David de Gea.
Now Ferdinand has accused the winger of looking a completely different player from his time at Ajax.

He told FIVE: “He just doesn’t beat anyone and I’m sitting there thinking, ‘Was that always the way?’
“I’ve seen clips of him when he was at Ajax and he was somebody who used to beat people.
“I saw Thomas Partey, who I wouldn’t put down as a sprinter, absolutely burst past him, and I’m thinking, ‘Woah, he hasn’t got much power in them legs!’
“He’s a tricky winger, but with tricky wingers you want them to still be able to beat the defender.”

Antony enjoyed a memorable start to his United career by scoring on his debut against Arsenal.
He would go on to find the net in his next two Premier League outings against rivals Manchester City and Everton.
But the 22-year-old hasn’t found the net in the league since the win at Goodison Park and hasn’t made the impact that some would have hoped.
Antony did net in the recent cup games with Everton and Charlton though.
But he was slammed and hauled off at half-time earlier in the season for showboating against Sheriff and has regularly been criticised for his form.
Gary Neville has also admitted that he wants to see more from the Brazil international.
He told the Gary Neville Podcast, Neville said: “I wish they had better quality in the final third.
“Obviously Sancho’s not out there and you would expect that Manchester United would have better options from the bench, but they haven’t at this moment in time.
“I want to see a little bit more from Antony, to be honest with you.

Dream Team gaffers missing out on predatory Eddie Nketiah’s plentiful returns

IF Arsenal do win the Premier League title this season – and such talk is warranted given they’re on track to achieve 100 points – then Eddie Nketiah (£3.2m) will deserve his fair share of the plaudits. When Gabriel Jesus (£5.3m) was sidelined with an relatively significant injury, there were plenty of fans and pundits who doubted whether the Gunners could maintain their momentum.
The Brazilian No9 scored five goals and assisted another five in is first 14 league games for his new club, gluing the front three together beautifully.
In addition, many observers had already questioned whether Arsenal had the necessary depth to sustain their impressive results – Man City’s second-choice XI is considerably stronger.
However, Nketiah has led the line superbly since the restart, scoring six goals in as many games.
Do you owe Nketiah an apology?Credit: getty
Sunday’s main event played host to the 23-year-old’s crowning moment as he scored a brace against Man United to help Mikel Arteta’s side to their 16th victory of the league campaign.
In an age of false nines, Nketiah is a striker in the mould of a classic poacher.
While limited in regards to some technical aspects of the game compared to Jesus, Nketiah has razor-sharp instincts when inside the opposition’s box.
His predatory nature was fully on display against the Red Devils as he scored a close-range header to capitalise on hesitancy from Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£3.3m) before his improvised finish in the 90th minute bagged all three points.
A prolific scorer at youth level for England, his prowess in the penalty area has rarely been doubted but there were question marks over his ability to link up with Bukayo Saka (£4.1m), Martin Odegaard (£3.6m) and Gabriel Martinelli (£3.6m) in the same effortless manner as Jesus.
    Most read in Dream Team
So far, Nketiah’s contribution to Arsenal’s build-up has been greater than expected, much to Arteta’s relief, and more than a few doubters owe the young forward an apology.
The Gunners haven’t missed Jesus as of yet
And his success is plainly there for Dream Team managers to see as well.
An 18-point haul at the expense of David De Gea (£3.8m) and company means Nketiah has banked 49 points in the space of six games since the restart.
Hat-trick machine Erling Haaland (£8.8m) was the only forward to register more points at the weekend.
At the time of writing, Nketiah features in just 2.1% of teams – the slim of minority of gaffers who recruited him in the wake of Jesus’ injury have been handsomely rewarded.
On top of everything else, he’s extremely affordable at £3.2m. More
