      How Man Utd could line up with Harry Kane as Erik ten Hag ‘makes Tottenham star No1 summer transfer target’

      A striker was on the wish list last year but the club stuck with Cristiano Ronaldo while Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial can fill in up top – although both are better suited out wide.
      Wout Weghort arrived this month on loan until June but is very much a short-term gap filler.
      And reports suggest Ten Hag will go all out to land Tottenham and England sensation Kane.
      The Three Lions skipper equalled Jimmy Greaves’ Spurs tally of 266 goals for the North London side with the winner at Fulham.

      And despite suggestions he may make a U-turn and sign a new contract at the £1billion stadium, Red Devils fans will be hoping the next deal he puts his signature on will be at the Theatre of Dreams.
      But how would United line up with Kane in the side next season should he make the switch to the north-west?
      The obvious selection would be to see Kane play up front on his own in Ten Hag’s favoured 4-2-3-1 formation.
      He would operate as the lone central striker supported by three attack-minded players – such as Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Antony.

      Martial and Jadon Sancho could also fill the wide slots in a rotated line-up.
      Behind the front four would be Casemiro with Christian Eriksen as the first choice ahead of Scott McTominay and Fred.
      And Ten Hag’s favoured back four may well be Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw with David De Gea in goal.
      An alternative option, albeit unlikely, may see Kane deployed up front alongside Rashford in a two-up-top system, changing the shape slightly.
      United have been linked with plenty of transfers in the summer – and should they land some, they could also slot into the side.
      Declan Rice could replace Eriksen in midfield, Marco Reus may join the attack, Dean Henderson could finally claim the No1 spot in goal and the addition of Dutch defenders Jurrien Timber and Denzel Dumfries could prompt a shock change of shape to a back five.

      NEWCASTLE are reportedly set to rival Chelsea in the chase for Everton winger Anthony Gordon.The Blues tried to sign the Englishman in the summer but were unable to agree on a deal with the Toffees.

      The Magpies are believed to have “opened talks” with Everton, and there is a deal to be done this month, according to the Daily Mail.
      The report claims that a financial package of £25million with £15m in add-ons could lead to a transfer.
      Although it is thought that Everton are aiming for a fee in the region of £60m.
      It is not thought that the Magpies would be willing to pay that much for the forward, who has scored three goals in 16 Premier League appearances this season.

      He impressed last campaign as his four goals and two assists in 35 appearances helped the club escape relegation.
      The report also suggests that Eddie Howe’s side would be willing to loan him back to Goodison Park for the remainder of the season.
      This could be a big boost for the Toffees as Gordon could help them in their battle to beat the drop, with the club currently sitting 19th in the Premier League table.
      The Magpies have lost striker Chris Wood this month after he joined Nottingham Forest on loan for the remainder of the season.

      Arsenal are interested in signing Chelsea targets Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice this summer, according to the Evening Standard.
      Graham Potter’s side have been linked with Rice over the last couple of seasons.
      The West Ham captain was at the Blues’ youth academy until he was 14 years old when he was let go by the club.
      It is expected that he will leave the Hammers this month as he wants to challenge for trophies in his career.

      And Arsenal are believed to be in the running for his signature in order to boost their midfield options.
      Caicedo however, is another option for the club in order to provide competition to Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.
      The report suggests that the Ecuadorian wanted to move to Stamford Bridge, but is unwilling to force a move out of Brighton.
      This means a transfer will be on hold until the summer when Arsenal can swoop in.

      Should the Italian get the job, then he could move for a reunion with former players Jorginho and Christian Pulisic.

      Danjuma has Premier League experience having joined Bournemouth the summer preceding the season the Cherries were relegated to the Championship.
      He excelled in the second tier, netting 15 goals in 33 league appearances, which landed him a switch to Villarreal in January 2021.

      The fifth fastest player on the list is another Chelsea player, Denis Zakaria.
