The Gunners now sit five points clear at the top of the Prem with a game in hand on second-placed Manchester City.
And midfielder Xhaka said: “I’ve had many coaches in my career but never one like Arteta.
“He seems like he is focused only on football 24 hours a day.
    “He always has a plan A, B… even a plan Z.

“But he’s not only top tactically, he’s also top as a person. He is something very special.”
Some fans were calling for Arteta’s head after Arsenal lost their first three Prem games last season and eventually blew a Champions League spot — even though he won the FA Cup in his first season in charge.
But now the club are chasing their first title since Arsene Wenger’s 2004 Invincibles.
Xhaka, who has also turned around his Arsenal career after being on the verge of quitting following his bust-up with the fans in 2019, added: “This is his first-ever stint as head coach.

“Some people were already at the end of their patience.
“But now you see what can happen when you give a coach time.”
Arteta persuaded Xhaka, 30, to stay at Arsenal after previous boss Unai Emery had stripped him of the captaincy following the fans’ backlash.
And a fitter, leaner Xhaka has been one of the Gunners’ most consistent players this season.
He has scored three Prem goals, adding five assists — and gave another fine performance in Sunday’s 3-2 win over Manchester United.
This after Arteta changed the Swiss star’s role in his team, giving him a licence to roam.

Arteta, 40, revealed: “I spoke to him at the end of the season and said, ‘I need to unlock something in your brain.
“‘You’re so comfortable and confident playing in this area, you have forgotten that, actually, what is going to win us the game is here.
“‘The team now demands somebody here, so unless you unlock that I’m going to have to do something about it’.
“He took it straight away. He’s a very intelligent player.

Dennis Wise a world away from Mike Ashley’s ‘Cockney Mafia’ as Chelsea icon, Fabregas & Henry transform Italians Como

LAKE COMO is one of the most beautiful places in the world – apart from a partially-derelict football stadium on its southern shore. It may come as a surprise but the man trying to sort out this eyesore is former England international Dennis Wise.
Dennis Wise has helped elevate Como into the second tierCredit: MATTEO BAZZI / COMO1907

Wise finds himself in this unlikely location as chief executive of Como 1907, a small club in northern Italy which has already gone bust twice this century.
The 56-year-old has been in an upstairs role just once before — an explosive stint at Newcastle United where the supporters accused him of being part of Mike Ashley’s “Cockney Mafia” before an acrimonious departure in 2009.
In his fourth year at Como, Wise has seen the club rise from Serie D to Serie B.
He has persuaded Cesc Fabregas and Thierry Henry to get involved to boost the club’s profile.

And now the ex-Chelsea captain is looking to demolish the club’s Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, which holds just 6,700 fans. Wise hopes to create a gleaming 26,000-capacity stadium fit for Serie A.
He spent most of his playing career at Wimbledon and the Blues before managerial stints at Millwall, Swindon and Leeds. This was followed by the turbulent spell in the North East as director of football.
After a decade away from the game, Wise was approached by friend and film producer Mirwan Suwarso, a representative of the Indonesian conglomerate, Djarum, which bought Como in 2019.
Wise said: “I am enjoying it. Newcastle turned into a debacle but it was a learning curve for me.

“You have to embrace mistakes but now I can do everything myself which was not the case up there.
“I have known Mirwan for a long time and he bought the club on behalf of Djarum and asked me to have a look at it and give my thoughts.
“I told him, ‘You’ve bought a club badge and that’s it’. There was a year-by-year ground lease, the club was in Serie D. No training ground. No academy. He asked me to help, so that is what I have done.
I am enjoying it. Newcastle turned into a debacle but it was a learning curve for me.Dennis Wise
“We have now built a training ground and are sorting out the stadium lease. We have needed the local community to trust us so there has been a lot of work, after two bankruptcies.
“We got promotion from D to C and now, from C to B. I have got the academy back.
“I brought in Marc Bircham [ex-Millwall and QPR] and he links with the first team and our B team. I don’t like Under-23s but we have a B side and we play Brentford, Fleetwood and QPR.”
An eye-catching arrival for this season was former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Fabregas who became a player, coach and investor.
Former France and Gunners striker Henry has also put some cash into the club.
Mike Ashley was incredibly unpopular as Newcastle ownerCredit: PA:Press Association
Wise, whose team are currently 16th, said: “Bringing in Cesc and Thierry made people look at us in a different way, particularly around this area.
“Cesc has just finished his Uefa B and is now doing his A licence. He has not played loads for us as he had some injuries.
“He is 36 — if he can manage his body in the right way, we will get some more out of him.
“But he is really smart with a great football brain and has given the place a real lift.
“He is ambitious to be a coach so there will be time when it comes to an end here.
“He is close to Mikel Arteta and has spoken to him about football philosophies.
In England, they expect a firecracker to walk into the room. So here, it is lovely. I’d like to think people here feel they can talk to me.Dennis Wise
“But here at Como, people are taking notice. We got offered a lot of money in the summer from an American group but we turned them down.
“I have also asked Gianfranco Zola to get involved. Just to be an adviser and give me his knowledge. But he is back in Sardinia and has a lot of things going on.
“We have come a long way. On the pitch, we are having a terrible year. We are not too far off the play-offs but we are not far from a relegation play-off spot.”
An aggressive midfielder and, at times, a spiky manager, Wise loves the fact that he is relatively unknown in Italian football so his reputation does not go before him.
He added: “In England, they expect a firecracker to walk into the room. So here, it is lovely. I’d like to think people here feel they can talk to me.”
Wise had an extended time away from football on the advice of ex-Wimbledon manager Dave Bassett but has now returned re-energised.
But when the subject of Newcastle crops up again, he comes out fighting for former Toon owner Ashley.
And he believes the club’s fans should be thankful Ashley waited to sell the club to the Saudi-led consortium.
Wise said: “Mike took them out of debt. There was a big debt but he resolved it and he ran it as a proper business. Yes, they went up and down but that happens.
“Whatever you say about Mike, he was never going to sell to any Tom, Dick and Harry, he was going to sell it to someone who would take it to the next step. But they won’t appreciate that in Newcastle.
“Mike stayed a long time and took a lot of stick and when the right time came he got out.
“But that experience has helped me. So has my time at Leeds when I was manager and they were in administration with minus 15 points.”
Now, Wise is looking forward. As he climbs up to the top of the Curva at Como’s stadium, to point out his planned redevelopment which will loom over the city’s super-posh yacht club, he is full of enthusiasm.
The only topic he does not want to talk about is the recent death of former team-mate Gianluca Vialli.
Yet Wise is hopeful of completing a journey to Serie A which his close friend, a much loved figure in Italy, would be extremely proud of.
Not far from Lake Como is Inter Milan’s training base. Maybe, one day Inter will play a league game here. Maybe Como could follow another local side, Atalanta, who rebuilt their stadium and then qualified for European football.
So, how about Newcastle v Como in the Champions League?

    Wise cackles with laughter.
He is never going to answer that question but, in the words of a former Newcastle manager, he would absolutely love it.

Onana, 21, has been one of Everton’s few shining lights this term following a £33m switch from Lille last summer.
The Belgium international has made 20 appearances in all competitions.
And it’s reckoned that big-spenders Chelsea are exploring a move as they look to boost their ranks with football’s top youngsters.
However, 90min claims Arsenal have now joined the race for Onana.

Mikel Arteta is hoping to strengthen his midfield options, having already completed January moves for Brighton winger Leandro Trossard and Spezia defender Jakub Kiwior.
And he reckons Onana would be perfect to give Arsenal’s title credentials another lift.
The Gunners have now approached Everton over a deal for their star, with the Toffees open to business after reportedly being put up for sale by Farhad Moshiri.
But Arsenal will have to pay a massive £50m if they want to bring Onana to the Etihad.

Their approach comes after the playmaker reportedly missed Everton’s training session on Tuesday.
Sky Sports says Onana was not present at Finch Farm one day after Frank Lampard was sacked.
And it’s also claimed Anthony Gordon was missing too.
His reported absence comes amid links with a move to Newcastle.
Mega-rich Toon are hoping to land Gordon for £25m plus 15m in add-ons, just six months after Everton turned down £60m from Chelsea.
And Everton have a big decision to make as they also look to appoint a new boss to save them from the dreaded drop. More

Everton supporters have led numerous protests against the current ownership, calling for them to leave.

According to The Guardian, Moshiri is now seeking an exit strategy after seven years in charge he looks to sell the club for more than £500million.
However, the club shared a video shortly after the story broke which was filmed prior to Saturday’s loss to West Ham and shows Moshiri insisting the club is NOT for sale.

The new ground is set to cost the club at least £550m.
Moshiri’s ownership team have spent around £700m on players but seen little success on the pitch.
Some of their big-money signings have included Amadou Onana for £31.5m, Alex Iwobi for £28m, Yerry Mina for £27m, Michael Keane for £25m and Moise Kean for £24m.
Everton finished 11th in the 2014/15 season – their final full campaign before Moshiri took over.
Since then they have managed three top 10 finishes but have been fighting for survival in the last two campaigns.
They have seen a host of managers come and go including Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Marco Silva, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benitez and now Lampard.
Former Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is the favourite to take over the Toffees as they bid to climb out of the relegation zone.
Reports of the sale come a week after the video of Moshiri telling fans he was only looking for outside investment was filmed.
In it he says: “The club is not for sale but I’ve been talking to top investors to bridge the gap on the stadium.
“I can do it myself and the reason I want to do it is to bring top sport investors into Everton for some of the reasons that the fans want improvement, more talent, and we are close to a deal.
“It’s not selling the club at all. It’s just bringing more expertise in terms of global sponsorship, in terms of commercial development. It’s to secure that for Everton.”
While the search for a new head coach goes on, Everton were left embarrassed once more on Tuesday as Tottenham hijacked their transfer target Arnaud Danjuma.
The Dutchman, 25, had already undergone a medical with the Goodison Park outfit at the weekend as he prepared to make the move from Villarreal.
But with the paperwork yet to be signed off, Spurs snuck in at the 11th hour to steal the winger on a straight loan from under Everton’s noses.

Sacked Frank Lampard plots return to Premier League as he insists Everton nightmare will ‘make him stronger’

FRANK LAMPARD says his nightmare at Everton will “make him stronger” – and he’s vowed to return and prove himself in the Premier League. The ex-Chelsea and England legend was axed on Monday after a miserable run of results saw the Merseyside club sitting joint bottom of the league.
Frank Lampard was sacked following Everton’s defeat to West HamCredit: Reuters
But Sun Online understands Lampard is already plotting a comeback – with a move abroad his likely next step.
A source said: “Frank is devastated at how things worked out at Everton. He loved the club, and he loved the fans – and he dearly wanted to make things work.
“He worked tirelessly to try and achieve that. He accepts he came up short but, at the same time, he thinks the whole experience will only make him stronger as a manager.
“He is 100 per cent looking to the future. He will take a holiday, reflect, but would love to be back in the game soon.

“A move abroad to somewhere like Spain, Holland, Germany or even America really appeals to Frank. He thinks he needs a fresh start to reset.
“The last two jobs – Chelsea and Everton – have come with a hell of a lot of baggage so he’d like to be at the helm of a club with less issues off the pitch.”
On Monday, we told how Frank knew the game was up at Everton moments after the final whistle against West Ham.
And Sun Online can reveal Lampard said a number of farewells to his backroom team before leaving the London Stadium.

An “emotional” Lampard admitted he knew what was heading his way.
A source close to the club said: “Frank knew that if he didn’t get a response from the players in the West Ham game it was all over. And he didn’t.
“That’s why afterwards he said his goodbyes, privately, to members of his backroom team. It was very emotional because Frank isn’t daft. He knew the stakes were high and had a fair idea about what was coming.
“He did his very best for the club and he’s devastated to have come up short. But despite that he’s determined to come back and prove he is a top class manager.”
Lampard feared the game against West Ham was make or break for his future as Everton boss.
Sources inside the struggling Merseyside club had told how a defeat – and a poor performance at the London Stadium – would see him axed.
On top of that, morale among the players is thought to have been rocked by the lack of January signings.
Last week, it was revealed that Everton are bracing themselves for the exit of Dominic Calvert-Lewin at the end of the season.
The England hitman is wanted by Newcastle – who may even have moved in for him in January if it wasn’t for the player’s injury problems.
A source said: “Calvert-Lewin is right at the top of the list of targets Newcastle have. They were interested in him last summer, and that interest remains.
“They think he could be a striker that could help take them to the next level, both in the league and in Europe.
    Read More on The Sun
“The only reason they didn’t move in January is because Dominic is struggling with injuries.
“Due to where Newcastle are in their season, riding high in the league and in a League Cup semi final, they need additions who can hit the ground running.” More
