‘He’s not having that’ – Erik ten Hag rages at Bruno Fernandes after Man Utd star’s wayward shot against Forest

ERIK TEN HAG could not hold back his anger after a wayward shot from Bruno Fernandes against Nottingham Forest. The Manchester United manager saw his side win 3-0 in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final, taking an early lead through star man Marcus Rashford.
Erik ten Hag was left raging with Bruno Fernandes
The Man Utd midfielder fired a wayward shot wide against Nottingham Forest
But some sloppy play allowed Sam Surridge to equalise for the hosts before VAR ruled it out for offside.
And Ten Hag was not in the mood for further mistakes after suffering title heartbreak with defeat at Arsenal on Sunday.
His anger boiled over near the end of the first half when Fernandes found himself with time on the ball outside Forest’s box
The Portuguese maestro was unable to produce a disciplined effort.

And he instead smashed a wild shot over the bar to a chorus of groans from the travelling fans.
But Ten Hag reacted in a much more angry manner, appearing to go ballistic at his playmaker from the sideline.
It prompted pundit and ex-United star Gary Neville to gasp: “He’s fuming. He’s absolutely right, he’s not having that.”
Fans also reacted to the incident, with many siding with Ten Hag.

Fernandes looked sheepish after his dismal effort
Ten Hag was not happy despite seeing his side score moments later
One supporter declared: “Ten Hag not happy with Bruno there! Rightly so!”
Another said: “Ten Hag needs to be tough on Bruno. His lack of discipline is so frustrating.”
One noted: “Even Ten Hag’s provoked by that useless Bruno shot.”
Another added: “I know the first thing Ten Hag is going to talk about in the dressing room is that Bruno shot.”
Fortunately for United, they did manage to hit the target for a second just moments later through new loan striker Wout Weghorst.
Fernandes then put his horrendous effort behind him by firing in United’s third goal late on.
The Red Devils are now in total control of their semi tie.
And provided there are no mistakes in next week’s return leg at Old Trafford, United are likely to battle either Newcastle or Southampton in Wembley’s final. More

Under current manager Roberto De Zerbi – who is desperate to keep the ace – Caicedo’s development has continued at a rapid pace, with Brighton continuing to march up the table.
We reported this week how Arsenal, who have already snatched one player from the Seagulls this month, had joined the scramble for his signature.
Chelsea were reported to have had a £55million offer rejected last week as Brighton hold out for as much at £100m.
And the midfielder has also hired a new agent as speculation mounts over his future.

Now transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has offered a fresh update on the situation.
He tweeted: “Three clubs are exploring Caicedo deal after new agents’ statement: Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are informed on the situation, as revealed on Monday.
“Brighton, not intentioned to sell unless they receive really huge proposal.”
Winger Leandro Trossard joined Arsenal in a £27million deal from Brighton and made his debut during the 3-2 win over Manchester United on Sunday.

The Seagulls have become serial recruiters of top talent which is then flipped for a huge profit margin, as evidenced by sales such as Marc Cucurella, Ben White and most recently Trossard.
Trossard arrived at the Amex Stadium in 2019 for just £18m, while the respective fees they got for Cucurella and White saw Brighton receive more money than what it cost them to build their stadium.
Caicedo is set to be the next name on that list of profitable acquisitions by the club after he cost them just £5m Independiente del Valle two years ago.
And his price tag may swell amid Liverpool’s interest.
The Reds have endured a miserable campaign so far and Jurgen Klopp is believed to be looking to bolster his ageing midfield ahead of the next campaign. More

Arsenal star Miguel Azeez shows off his miniature shin pads that fit in palm of his hand

The Arsenal star showed off the pads on his Instagram story
But he must be careful as he comes up against Championship opponents – because his shin pads barely protect him.
So much so, the teeny pads fit in the palm of his hand.
Azeez – who was charged with improper conduct for picking up a flare to celebrate on his Wigan debut – took to his Instagram story to show fans asking what he wears in his socks.
And the result is a tiny pair of black shin pads with the Joga branding in white down the middle.

On the brand’s website, the “smallest pads on the market” – which are 8cmx5cm – cost £14.99 and are “designed primarily for comfort and protection”.
Azeez captioned the post: “For those wondering if I wear shin pads,” followed by a laughing emoji.
The photo from the Arsenal star, who joined the academy aged five, caused some hilarious reactions on social media.
One person wrote: “The size of Miguel Azeez’s shin pads 😳 I remember the days when it covered most of your shin!”

Another commented: “This is giving me Thierry Henry shin pad circa 2004 vibes. Well, they are probably big by today’s standards, but that was compared to the full-on cricket pads that used to do the rounds.”
A third replied: “Like wearing a sticker on your head instead of a helmet.”
And a final user quipped: “Or he’s got the world’s biggest hands.”
Tiny shin pads are not uncommon in football these days with Jack Grealish, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Naby Keita all spotted with some of the smallest around.
The Everton striker even joked he uses custard creams after scoring his first England goal.

Reports in Franca’s homeland claim Newcastle saw their first £11.5m bid rejected for the attacking midfielder last week.
And a second offer worth an initial £12m was also turned down by Flamengo.
But Eddie Howe is determined to land 19-year-old Franca this month.
A fresh £14m bid has now been submitted as the Toon boss looks to seal a deal.

However, Flamengo have maintained from the start they want at least £17.5m for Franca PLUS 50 per cent of his next transfer fee.
They are about to sell another top player in Joao Gomes for £16m, and believe Franca is worth “a lot more” due to his age and profile.
As well as Franca, Newcastle would also like to secure a deal for Everton’s Anthony Gordon ahead of Chelsea.
A bid worth up to £40m has been offered, but the Toffees are hoping for closer to £60m.

Toon also fancy Man Utd midfielder Scott McTominay.
However, the ace is not for sale until the summer.
And there could be more outgoings at St James’ Park too, with Allan Saint-Maximin a loan target for AC Milan.
But he has just returned from injury and remains a vital player in Howe’s eyes.
Newcastle keeper Karl Darlow has joined Hull on a six-month loan. More

Jamie Carragher ‘lives in a glass house, spits out of windows and has no education’, blasts Everton-linked agent

JAMIE CARRAGHER has been slammed as “living in a glass house, spitting out of windows and having no education” in a sensational tirade. The Sky Sports pundit hit out at football agent Kia Joorabchian for having an “unhealthy relationship” with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri.

Joorabchian responded with a personal and lengthy onslaught at CarragherCredit: Getty
Carra, 44, claimed the Toffees are the “worst run club in the country” and the close ties between Moshiri and Joorabchian had “caused a lot of problems”.
That scathing assessment came amid turmoil at Goodison Park with the club 19th in the Premier League, the players underperforming, manager Frank Lampard sacked and fans voicing their sheer anger at the hugely unpopular board.
But Joorabchian fired back at Carragher’s comments with a brutal reply – including citing the ex-Liverpool defender’s 2018 spitting incident in his car.
The agent – who looks after Philippe Coutinho, Douglas Luiz and Willian – said: “[He is] unlike someone like Jamie Carragher who unfortunately lives in a glass house, spits out of car windows and has no education in terms of his background when he makes a comment.
    READ MORE ON CARRAGHER
“I’ve done three transfers of my players (to Everton) over the course of Farhad’s tenure at Everton.
    “Richarlison, who was very successful.
“The free transfer of Bernard from Shakhtar, and again he was a player who wasn’t a complete disaster and he did very well.
“We had Carlo Ancelotti which was the only manager they’ve taken (from my clients) as a recommendation and we always do the same with every club in the Premier League if they’re looking for a manager – we always present our client.

“We were also involved in the Anwar El-Ghazi loan which was part of the Lucas Digne transfer and an FFP scenario and unfortunately that didn’t work out due to the change of manager and he wasn’t in the new manager’s plans.”
Joorabchian, 51, then piled in on Carragher and gave details of his work, offering various players and managers to Everton.
He added on talkSPORT: “I have been busier in other clubs. Last year I recommended Vitor Pereira and they wanted Lampard and that was very much a board decision.
“It was even mentioned on Sky that [Everton chairman] Bill Kenwright and [Everton CEO] Denise Barrett-Baxendale have nothing to do there.
“Jamie said that and, again, people who say things like that haven’t done their homework and misinform the public and that’s really unfair for those people.
“I know for a fact that Farhad didn’t have a sole vote on the manager last time. He created a board, Denise Barrett-Baxendale was very much involved.
“In the summer we offered them many players but they turned them all down. Tarkowski, Coady, Maupay, McNeil and the list goes on.
“All the loans and all the signings they did were done purely by them – we didn’t have any involvement whatsoever.”
We can’t be that influentialKia Joorabchian
Joorabchian continued: “We speak to all the owners, I speak to quite a few club owners [in the Premier League], but the point is, what is our job? Our job is to present what we have as a client list and say, ‘This is what we have.’
“And Everton haven’t taken any of our advice. So we can’t be that influential.
“In the past we offered Bruno Guimaraes for £16m when he was leaving Athletico Paranaense. They didn’t like him and went for Jean-Philippe Gbamin.
“Diego Carlos was offered at £11m before he went to Sevilla and he’s now ended up at Aston Villa.
“We offered (Real Madrid defender) Eder Militao when he was leaving Sao Paulo.”
But Carragher responded with a savage but honest tweet.
The former England ace, who supported Everton as a boy, wrote: “Kia, there is no need to get personal, I’m just analysing your role in football clubs!
“Involved in helping Everton to the bottom of PL 🤷‍♂️

The Spaniard, 18, has shone at Real Valladolid in LaLiga this season and has attracted interest from a number of clubs including Newcastle.
But now the star appears to have a straight choice between joining Mikel Arteta’s Premier League leaders or the Bundesliga giants.
Spanish outlet Marca claims that Fresneda was “absent with discomfort” from the club’s training session earlier.
Arsenal have allowed full-back Cedric Soares, 31, to depart the Emirates and join Fulham on loan for the rest of the season.

That has freed up space in the squad for the potential arrival of the Spanish U19 international.
It has been widely-reported that Dortmund believe they are ahead of the Gunners in the chase for the teen’s signature.
They are currently in a battle for a top four spot in the Bundesliga, sitting sixth but just seven points off leaders Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are top of the Premier League, five points ahead of defending champions Man City.

But whichever outfit he eventually opts for, it is also expected that Fresneda will spend the remainder of the campaign with Valladolid on loan.
He has already made 12 appearances this term, but he has been unable to stop Valladolid’s shocking recent form.
The club have lost five games in a row in LaLiga and are without a win since the beginning of November.
As a result of their poor run, they have slipped into the relegation zone. More

The stunning Wag was all smiles as she showed off the flamboyant design, which appeared to be based on a peacock.
But Muri may have to wrap up to endure her first-ever winter in freezing Manchester.
The Argentine beauty made her way to England with Martinez last summer when the defender completed his move from Ajax.

Things could have turned out differently had Martinez instead opted for a move to Arsenal.
But United boss Erik ten Hag claims the defender could not be stopped from following him to Old Trafford from Ajax.
Ten Hag revealed: “Whether I found it difficult to get Martinez away from Ajax?
“I had such a good time there, how we experienced the process together.
“From scratch we brought Ajax back to the European top. That project has been so dear to me.
“But Martinez himself wanted to leave Ajax anyway. If we hadn’t taken him, he would have gone to Arsenal.
“They wanted him anyway, he was top priority there. Licha (Martinez) called me at one point: ‘Coach, listen, I’m leaving Ajax anyway. I can sign with Arsenal, but if you want me, I’m going to Manchester United.’
“Then I thought: ‘I shouldn’t shoot myself and United in the foot either’. He really wasn’t staying in Amsterdam, that was out of the question. Then we struck and it all worked out.” More
