      The singer also described Prem bosses as “big bullies” amid the ongoing investigation, which involves more than 100 alleged breaches.
      Gallagher tweeted: “The Premier league are BIG BULLYS [sic]. Investigate 1 Investigate them all you shower of s***.”
      The charges relate to breaching financial rules over nine seasons between 2009 and 2018.
      City have also been charged with breaching rules requiring them to assist in the investigation, from the 2018-2019 campaign to the current season.

      The investigation itself started way back in December 2018 and an independent commission will now look into the Premier League’s findings.
      The commission can issue punishments ranging from expulsion from the Premier League to points deductions, fines and transfer bans.

      In response, City said: “Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules, particularly given the extensive engagement and vast amount of detailed materials that the EPL has been provided with.
      “The Club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent Commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.

      “As such we look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all.”
      A Premier League statement claims City breached rules requiring them to provide “accurate financial information that gives a true and fair view of the club’s financial position”.
      The Prem also accused the Citizens of failing to cooperate and assist with the investigation.
      That was prompted following the publishing of leaked documents by Der Spiegel. More

      INTER MILAN have stripped Milan Škriniar of the club captaincy after the star signed a pre-contract with PSG. The defender will head to the French champions in the summer for free after weeks of transfer speculation.

      Škriniar had looked set to move to Paris Saint-Germain for cash last month but will now run down his contract.
      The outcome has left Inter unimpressed and they have confirmed they have taken action against the 27-year-old.
      Inter chief Giuseppe Marotta said: “Škriniar won’t be our captain anymore because we’ve to share the same clear values.”
      The defender has been wearing the armband for much of the season with official club captain Samir Handanović on the bench as the second-choice goalkeeper.

      Škriniar took to the field in yesterday’s Milan derby and helped his team secure a 1-0 win.
      The man who was wearing the armband in his place, Lautaro Martinez, scored the winner in the first-half as he headed home from a corner.
      It gave Inter their second victory over rivals AC Milan in the space of three weeks.
      It was also Škriniar’s first game since January 23 after he was sent off against Empoli during a shock Inter defeat last month.

      According to Manchester Evening News, more senior players will follow Ronaldo out the door as Ten Hag continues to rebuild the Red Devils.
      Those are Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial and Alex Telles who have fallen out of favour.
      Martial has endured an inconsistent eight-year stint in Manchester, which has been marred by several injuries.
      The forward’s woes have continued this season with five separate injury lay-offs.

      The France international returned from a two-and-a-half week absence to score in the League Cup semi-final second leg win against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.
      But the 27-year-old withdrew from the squad for the Premier League victory over Crystal Palace three days later.
      Maguire, on the other hand, has fallen down the pecking order at centre-back behind Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez.
      Ten Hag also appears to prefer left-back Luke Shaw in that position, even when his captain is available for selection.

      But it was Man Utd who were leading the race to sign him ahead of the 2022/23 season as they looked to bolster the centre of their midfield.
      They eventually landed on Brazilian Casemiro, 30, as he arrived at Old Trafford from Real Madrid for £70m.
      But according to talkSPORT, United were not so lucky when it came to their mammoth offer for Rice as West Ham turned down £100m.
      And the reports are that it will take £120m plus add-ons to secure the England international this summer.

      That is despite his contract expiring in 2024.
      Rice is being closely monitored by both Arsenal and Chelsea as they prepare to do battle for the Kingston-born midfielder at the end of the season.
      Mikel Arteta’s men see him as a long-term replacement for Thomas Partey or Granit Xhaka – despite the arrival of Jorginho in the January window.
      And Chelsea are keen to strengthen in the middle of the park following the departure of Jorginho.

      N’Golo Kante is also set to become a free agent in the summer if he does not pen a new deal.
      Rice has made 222 appearances for West Ham since breaking through in 2017, contributing 11 goals and 12 assists.
      He has also received 39 England caps and become one of Gareth Southgate’s most trusted lieutenants in recent years.
      And during the Qatar World Cup, Rice dropped a big hint he was open to leaving West Ham.
      Speaking in an England press conference, he was asked if he is hungry to win titles at club level, to which he replied: “Yeah, 100 per cent. For the last two or three years I’ve been saying that.
      “I’ve been consistently playing well for my club. I want to win trophies for my club.
      “You only get one career and you want to look back at what you’ve won and play in the biggest games. I am really ambitious and I want that.”
      West Ham currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, just one point above the relegation zone.

      A number of punishments for City are possible – from a slap on the wrist and a fine to enforced relegation or even expulsion from the Prem.
      And a Prem table if City were expelled today, with all of their results wiped, leaves Arsenal ELEVEN points clear at the top.
