Rice led the Hammers to a 1-1 draw at St James’ Park and Trippier spoke to the Vibe with Five podcast about the midfielder.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with moves to Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea.
Trippier replied without hesitation when asked if he would rather have Partey or Rice in his team: “Declan. Declan’s unbelievable.
“I don’t know if you watched the game the other day when we played West Ham, but just his intelligence, the way he breaks up play and how he travels with it, and how powerful he is.

“Unbelievable, probably one of the best in the world at what he does.”
Trippier was then quizzed on choosing Rice or Casemiro, but again he picked his England team-mate.
The ex-Tottenham and Atletico Madrid star said: “As defenders like me, you appreciate a Michael Carrick, or what Declan does.
“So it makes your job easier when they’re just mopping everything up.

“Don’t get me wrong, Casemiro, the trophies he’s won, the Champions Leagues, he’s a world-class player.
“But if you’re talking right now, Dec is incredible, he’s got the age as well.”
Rice has just entered the last 18 months of his contract at West Ham but the club do have an option to extend his stay by an additional year.
Irons manager David Moyes recently claimed it could take an astronomical fee to prize him away from East London.
The Scot said: “Declan is going to be a top player and undoubtedly he’ll be a British transfer record if he ever leaves West Ham.
“I hope it’s not [an inevitable departure]. I hope he sees his time here [at West Ham].
“Look, there’s a lot of talk about it and it’s just important when you see what’s going about for the prices.
“I think Declan will be blowing that out of the water, that’s for sure, when it comes around.”
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to add to his central midfield options, having seen approaches for Brighton star Moises Caicedo rejected.

Meanwhile, Man Utd reportedly had a £100million bid for Rice turned down by West Ham before the season started.
But they could go back in for him this coming summer, especially if mega-rich Qatari owners purchase the club. More

Mainoo then came off the bench in last month’s 3-1 FA Cup win over Reading.
And behind the scenes at Carrington there is growing belief the talented 17-year-old could be the heartbeat of the club’s midfield for years to come.
The Stockport-born youngster was a key member of last season’s successful FA Youth Cup-winning side, and was rewarded with his first professional contract in May 2022.
This season he has continued to progress for the Red Devils Under-18’s and Under-21’s, following that up with a 60 minute senior cameo against Charlton and a further 17 minutes against Reading.

Erik ten Hag has been impressed and is now beginning to integrate the teenager into first-team more often.
Mainoo was part of the squad that went to Spain for a warm-weather training camp and friendlies matches during the World Cup break.

He was scouted by United aged nine and he worked his way through the youth ranks to establish himself as one of United’s biggest prospects.
In pre-season, United fans caught a glimpse of the playmaker in action against Altrincham.
BBC Manchester commentator Jonny Crowther called him “different class”.
Earlier this season, Mainoo scored twice in a thrilling 3-3 draw with Brighton for the Under-21 team.
While back in August, he had fans purring during a mercurial display against Carlisle in the EFL Trophy.
His vision, anticipation and tackling ability certainly caught the eye.
One fan wrote: “I can watch 17-year-old Kobbie Mainoo’s compilations all day. Man Utd have a player on their hands,” while another said: “Investing in Kobbie Mainoo stocks now.”
A third said: “I watched Kobbie Mainoo vs Carlisle United yesterday. Ten Hag has to include him in the first-team. This is not a joke.
“He’s a baller. All he needs is the physical strength and forget Frenkie De Jong. He can do the job simple.”

    Ten Hag has listened
The excitement around Mainoo has seen Ten Hag, known for giving youth a chance at Ajax, take a closer look at the player himself.
He is now a regular fixture in first-team training sessions.
The teenager was first named in a matchday squad for the 0-0 draw against Newcastle back in October.
And Ten Hag explained Mainoo, who has been capped by England’s Under-18 team, wasn’t there to just make up the numbers.
The Dutch boss told the club’s official website: “It’s not experience, they [young players] have to deliver.
“You are here to contribute to the team, to the team’s success, and that is why he is here.”

With Casemiro unavailable for United’s defeat at league leaders Arsenal, Kobbie Mainoo was also named on the bench for the huge Emirates game last month.
And it’s surely just a matter of time before he finally gets his first taste of Premier League action for the Red Devils.

David, a former professional footballer and head of sports law at Blaser Mills solicitors, said that sponsors would be put off by a “residual stigma” hanging over the Manchester United striker even after the charges against him were dropped.
He said: “The financial benefits [of the Nike deal] would have been significant given how far he came in his career.
“Prior to the charges he was good for sponsors…if he was doing well they’d want him front and centre…[but] now there’s a residual stigma for brands.”
It comes as Greenwood is reported to be weighing up a major career move if he is sacked by his current club.

However, the rumoured transfer would see him take a hefty pay cut due to a salary cap in the league he is believed to be targeting.
When asked how much the loss of the deal would cost the England international, David explained: “It’s potentially a significant amount.
“There will have been bonuses for taking steps forward in his career [like playing for England].
“Definitely hundreds of thousands…potentially millions of pounds.”
    Most read in Football
He added that major brands “probably wouldn’t want to be associated” with Greenwood “if or until his career picks back up again” and that they will be “slow to connect with him again”.
However, David did feel there was some hope left for the Old Trafford ace, saying: “I don’t see why he couldn’t bring sponsors back in future.
“He’s now free of any legal doubts…he’s not toxic…he’s back on the horizon, but it’s a very far horizon.
“He’s the one who has to bring himself back…by playing football, getting his head down and doing the right things off the pitch.”
Greenwood is currently suspended by Manchester United, pending an internal investigation.
Despite the case against him collapsing, sources have said that his clubmates are not all in favour of having him back.
Charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control against the star were dropped earlier this month after several key witnesses withdrew.
