Prem clubs circle as Juventus set to let FIVE stars leave on free transfers including World Cup winners & Man Utd target

JUVENTUS could be forced to let FIVE players leave on free transfers at the end of the season. The Old Lady were hit with a 15-point deduction last month following a transfer scam with Tottenham sporting director Fabio Paratici.
Juventus could be forced to lose five of their best playersCredit: Rex
This came after their ENTIRE board of directors resigned from their positions, including president Andrea Agnelli and vice chairman Pavel Nedved.
As a result, the Italian giants are trying to cut costs at every opportunity.
And according to La Gazzetta dello Sport it could lead to Juve losing some of their best players.
The report claims that Juventus have ended all contract negotiations, which will save them £62m.

The five players that could be offloaded are Alex Sandro, Adrien Rabiot, Leandro Paredes, Angel Di Maria and Juan Cuadrado.
Three of those started Tuesday’s victory over Salernitana, while Cuadrado was a second half substitute, which highlights how much of a blow it would be for Juventus to lose them.
Paredes wasn’t involved, but he’s only on loan with an option to buy from PSG.
Juventus were hoping to keep Cuadrado and Rabiot on board, but their off the field problems are likely to force them to sell.

Rabiot came close to joining Manchester United last summer before his move to Old Trafford collapsed.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are long-term admirers of Sandro, who’s currently in his eighth season with the Turin giants.
Should Juventus lose a host of their key players, the report claims that Massimiliano Allegri could look towards giving a chance to youngsters. More

Man Utd share price rockets with Qatar group poised to bid for the club in DAYS with Glazers listening to offers

MANCHESTER UNITED’s share price rocketed amid news that a Qatar group is poised to bid for the club. The Glazers revealed in November that they were willing to listen to offers for either a stake in the Premier League giants or an outright purchase.

A number of parties have expressed an interest in buying United, which could be purchased for a world-record price for a sports franchise at close to, or above, £6billion.
Interest comes from the Far East, Middle East and United States with Raines Group, the merchant bank, tasked with the sale.
British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who happens to be a Man Utd fan, is also keen.
But according to the Daily Mail, a Qatar-based investment group will make a “huge bid” for United.

And that sent United’s share price rocketing by the close of play on Tuesday.
They went up 6.30 per cent in after-hours at $21.12 last night, according to Benzinga Pro.
According to this latest update, an offer for United is expected to be made in the coming days ahead of the mid-February deadline set by the Glazers.
The investment group are said to be confident that their bid will blow any competition out of the water.

The Qataris are also putting fan engagement at the heart of their takeover bid.
They will seek the views of supporters on the future of Old Trafford.

However, a stumbling block that could block a takeover is Qatar Sports Investments’ ownership of PSG.
One entity cannot own two clubs in the same competition — and United and PSG could meet in Europe.
The bid for United would come from separate, individual Qatari investors and there is ZERO interest in taking a partial stake – something the Glazers have been interested in.
French giants Paris Saint-Germain are currently under Qatari ownership, but as we reported previously, they are unable to redevelop the club’s iconic Parc des Princes stadium.
But the potential United makeover could see Old Trafford demolished and completely rebuilt. More

Kenneth Zandvliet worked as a Chelsea scout for four years

He has joined the club as their new head of scouting, replacing the outgoing Peter Maas.

Zandvliet has left his role at Chelsea after four years as a European scout at the club, mainly aimed at identifying players Under 23.
Prior to this, the 56-year-old’s experience in scouting stemmed from his time with Go Ahead Eagles and as head of youth scouting at FC Twente.
The move comes after Chelsea hired All Blacks mental skills coach Gilbert Enoka to try and cultivate a winning culture.

TOTTTENHAM have been dealt a major blow with captain Hugo Lloris facing up to two months out injured. But that’s not how all Spurs fans see things.

The Frenchman has been the club’s No.1 for more than a decade, but mistakes have crept into his game on a more frequent basis in recent months.
Lloris has made howlers against Newcastle, Aston Villa and most recently the opener in the North London derby.
His poor form has even led to calls for him to be dropped and replaced by Fraser Forster.
Regardless, Lloris has continued to keep his place, starting all-but one game in the Premier League and Champions League.

But Forster is now set to get his chance with the Telegraph reporting that Lloris is facing around six to eight weeks on the sidelines.
He sustained the injury late in Sunday’s win over Manchester City and has suffered knee ligament damage.
But not all Tottenham fans are disappointed with the news.

A third chimed in with: “Might be what we need.”

Another said: “Good, he always has a clanger in him.”
A fifth said: “Top 4 confirmed with this bonus.”
If Lloris does end up being sidelined for two months, he could miss several games across three competitions, including both legs against AC Milan and some key Premier League clashes. More

3 transfer recommendations to help whip your Dream Team into shape this month

FEBRUARY sees the return of the European competitions, the continuation of the FA Cup, and the culmination of the Carabao Cup, not to mention the bread and butter of the Premier League.More than ever, Dream Team gaffers need to make sure their XIs are in tip-top shape.
With that in mind, allow us to humbly propose three transfer recommendations.
OUT: Andy Robertson (£4.2m), IN: Luke Shaw (£3.9m)
Liverpool are going through a rough patchCredit: getty
Liverpool are in a right pickle at the moment, so much so that their 3-0 defeat to Wolves at the weekend didn’t come as much of a surprise.
The Reds’ first-choice left-back has provided more than his fair share of points in recent years but he’s mustered just 42 this season.
The extensive list of defenders with more points than Robertson this term includes: Lewis Dunk (£2m), Ryan Sessegnon (£2.3m), Tim Ream (£2.2m), Serge Aurier (£2.6m) and Ben Johnson (£3.4m).
Scotland’s captain remains more popular than Dan Burn (£4.8m) even though Newcastle’s big man is the third-best asset in his position!
Chances are Robertson will come strong again in the future but he’s one of several Liverpool players who simply aren’t worth sticking by during this funk.
In contrast, Manchester United’s results have been categorically encouraging in recent months.

Currently third in the league and set to recommence European commitments against Barcelona in the Europa League, there are plenty of points to be had backing the Red Devils.
After a flurry of minus points at the start of the campaign, Shaw has amassed 94 across the last 13 Game Weeks.
Lisandro Martinez (£4.6m) may also appeal for those keen on this tactic.
OUT: Miguel Almiron (£3.4m), IN: Martin Odegaard (£3.4m)
The gravy train is off the tracksCredit: getty
Almiron’s brief transformation into a Gareth Bale/Thierry Henry hybrid was fun while it lasted but the Paraguayan winger has seemingly returned to normality.
Having scored seven goals in as many games earlier in the season, he’s now without a goal in his last nine appearances and his underlying numbers have dropped off a cliff too.
The 28-year-old has produced 12 points in his last nine games whereas Odegaard has amassed 52 in the same time frame.
Admittedly, Arsenal’s skipper has blanked three times in a row recently but with eight goals and five assists to his name he’s been one of the standout Premier League players this season.
The Gunners don’t recommence their European campaign until next month but they’ve got four fixtures still to fulfil this month which means their assets are busy enough.
Eddie Howe’s side play three times before the start of March and one of those is the Carabao Cup final against Man United.
OUT: Aleksandar Mitrovic (£4.6m), IN: Son Heung-min (£5.1m)
    Hear us out…Credit: getty
    A big call here.
On the surface, Fulham’s No9 is enjoying a fantastic season while the South Korean superstar is enduring perhaps his worst time in English football.
While that’s true to a certain extent, every Dream Team manager knows that form can be painfully fleeting.
Since the start of Game Week 16, Mitrovic has mustered just one point while Son has pouched 27.
There have been signs in the last two or three outings that Tottenham’s No7 is shaking off his slump which should put gaffers on alert.
    Read More on The Sun
Son is a Dream Team phenomenon when at his best and it’s telling that he’s the sixth-best forward in the game currently despite having been mostly below par.
If the 30-year-old is truly on the rise then this transfer could be extremely well timed but gaffers will need a little extra cash in the bank to make it work. More

Man Utd interested in shock swoop for ex-Chelsea star Tammy Abraham as striker alternative to Victor Osimhen

However, boss Erik ten Hag is looking to bring in a new striker this summer and has identified Napoli’s Victor Osimhen as his No1 target.
They have also been linked with a swoop for Harry Kane, who became Tottenham’s record-goalscorer last weekend.
Now a report in the Telegraph have claimed that United have also drawn up a list of potential back-up options.
And one of those is Roma’s former Chelsea star Abraham, who is under contract until 2026.
    READ MORE ON MAN UTD
The England international, 25, has proven himself to be a more than capable goalscorer in Italy since he joined Jose Mourinho’s side in 2021.
He grabbed 17 Serie A goals and 27 in all competitions last season to help the club claim the inaugural Europa Conference League.

But this term he has not been quite as prolific with just seven from his 27 appearances.
Arsenal and Aston Villa have both been linked with moves to bring back the star back to the Premier League previously.

The switch to Roma ended Abraham’s 17-year affiliation with Chelsea.
He joined the academy at Under-8s level and became a first-team regular after loans with Bristol City, Swansea and Aston Villa.
In 82 first-team appearances for the Blues, he managed 30 goals – including 12 in the 2020/21 season to make him the joint-top scorer.
The London-born ace also has three goals in 11 caps for England but was not selected as part of Gareth Southgate’s World Cup squad. More

The manager in question? Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.
An old version of his Wikipedia page states: “Leeds United 8/2/2023,” underneath the Feyenoord sub-heading.
However, a site editor has since changed his page back to the currently accurate information – stating in the editing notes: “This hasn’t happened (yet?).”
In response to the links, Leeds fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

One fan joked: “Arne Slot, always rated him since I was first aware of him 10 mins ago.”
A second said: “Arne Slot’s Feyenoord got to the conference league final with [Luis] Sinisterra impressing in the tourney and that is absolutely everything I know about him lol.”
Another declared: “Arne Slot to Leeds. Make it happen.”

Under his watch, Feyenoord finished third in the Dutch league last season.
But fast forward to now, and the club are sitting at the summit of the league having lost just once all season.
Indeed, Slot boasts a remarkable record of winning 82 games from 142 matches in his managerial career.
The Whites are in the midst of a desperate fight to avoid relegation from the Premier League after sacking Jesse Marsch.
Under the American Leeds had not won a league game since early November, with the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest last weekend the final straw.
They face a tough run in their next three games, with a double header against rivals Manchester United and an away trip to Everton, who have been bolstered by Sean Dyche’s arrival.
The club’s assistant coaches, including former Man Utd coach Chris Armas, will be taking charge of the team in the absence of a set manager.
As well as Slot, Leeds have been linked with Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou and West Brom’s Carlos Corberan. More

The Premier League flop XI of season so far including transfer woes as Marc Cucurella and Kalvin Phillips struggle

KALVIN PHILLIPS and Marc Cucurella are amongst the biggest Premier League transfer flops from the summer. The pair both joined big six clubs for huge sums, but both have failed to replicate the form they showed last season.

And they are not the only stars to have struggled, with £60million Richarlison also failing to hit the form he showed at Everton for Tottenham.
Like Cucurella, Raheem Sterling has also found it difficult adjusting to life at Chelsea, though the Blues have underperformed in general and sit ninth in the Prem.
Billy Gilmour left Stamford Bridge for Brighton but has failed to stamp his influence on the high-flying Seagulls.
But flops have not been limited to domestic transfers only, and big money has been spent for little reward in some cases.

Manchester United’s purchase of Antony is the best example of that, with the Brazilian providing just three goals and zero assists despite arriving for £85m.
United pulled out all the stops to land the winger which includes spending over the odds.
West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer has also been underwhelming in East London – he conceded a penalty on his debut and scored an own goal against rivals Spurs.
Duje Caleta-Car has experienced similar problems since signing for Southampton, having been unable to guide them away from the relegation zone.

Bournemouth keeper Neto is also in danger of finishing in the bottom three – he arrived with a big reputation having played for Barcelona but he has been unable to set the league alight.
Big things were also expected of Caleta-Car’s team-mate Joe Aribo after he helped Rangers to the Europa League final last season.
He has not showed his true qualities yet and the Saints need him to start producing if they are to reach safety. More
