Guardiola, 52, recalled when City were found guilty of breaching Uefa’s FFP regulations and banned from competing in Europe for two years in 2020.
That ban was successfully overturned after an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
But Guardiola sensationally revealed NINE Prem teams wanted City booted out of the Champions League at the time.
Comparing the 2020 case to now, Guardiola said: “When Uefa make a sentence against us, nine teams – Burnley, Wolves, Leicester, Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal, United, Liverpool, Chelsea – [wanted City] out of the Champions League when they wanted that position.

“There are no enemies or friends, just interests. They wanted to take our position [in the Champions League]. This situation is absolutely zero difference.
“It’s the same articles, same accusations. You have to go to League One, League Two, no not enough, maybe Conference. We have been in lower divisions.”

Guardiola joked he’d bring back club legends Paul Dickov and Mike Summerbee if the club were relegated, as he continued to refer to the 2020 case.
He said: “If we go back there it’s not a problem for us, we will call Paul Dickov and Mike Summerbee… and we will be back I’m pretty sure, if we go there.

“But they should wait because [only] in the end is it decided what happens, and they didn’t wait in the UEFA situation.”
Guardiola suggested on Friday that City are “already being condemned”, despite not being found guilty of breaching financial regulations.
Speaking on the charges, which were announced on Monday, he declared: “My first thought is we are already being condemned.
“What has happened after Monday is the same as happened with Uefa [in 2020]. We were condemned.
“We have just a charge. Why should when they told me before they defend the accusation from UEFA, the club proved we were completely innocent, why should now be condemned?
“19 teams of the Premier League is accusing us without the chance to defend and the words of my chairman my CEO my owner explain everything, you know what side I am on.”

Arsenal boss Arteta gives blunt response when asked if he noticed anything ‘untoward’ going on during Man City spell

MIKEL ARTETA gave a blunt response when asked if he had witnessed anything “untoward” during his time at Manchester City. The Arsenal boss was City’s assistant manager between 2016 and 2019 before moving to the Emirates.

The Premier League champions are now under investigation for 115 alleged financial breaches over a number of years.
The punishments for the club could be extremely serious both on and off the pitch – with points deductions and relegation on the table.
Ahead of Arsenal’s home game against Brentford, Arteta was asked by reporters if he ever saw anything “untoward” at the club.
His response was blunt and brief with the Spaniard replying simply: “no.”

When pressed for answers, Arteta would only add: “I’m not going to make any comment on that, I’m sorry.”
Premier League bosses have been facing questions on the bombshell allegations levelled at Man City, not least Pep Guardiola.
But the 52-year-old had a bullish tone as he came out defending his club.
He told reporters today: “My first thought is already that we have been condemned.

“19 teams of the PL are accusing us without the chance to defend and the words of my chairman my CEO my owner explain everything, you know what side I am on.”
When asked whether he believed the charges were driven by their Prem rivals, Guardiola added: “Go to the chairman, CEOs, Daniel Levy, ask them.
“These 19 Premier League have set a precedent. What they [rival PL clubs] have done to us, be careful with that.
“Be careful in the future. Many clubs can make suggestions and there are a lot of clubs that can be accused, like we have been accused.”
City chiefs plan to fight the accusations and could go all the way to the High Court or to the Supreme Court if necessary.
And just as in their victory over Uefa after the Champions League ban three years ago, City will unleash an army of lawyers to defeat the Prem legal team and put the charges to bed for good.
An expert lawyer who advised Boris Johnson over partygate has been drafted in to try and help dig the club out of their situation.

As a result, the club are facing relegation or expulsion from the Prem.

Dickov played for the Cityzens for six years in two spells with the club.
The Scot, now aged 50, left the club just as they were taken over by Sheikh Mansour’s Abu Dhabi group.

Man Utd and Arsenal transfer blow as Barcelona president rules out Ansu Fati exit as interest confirmed

PREMIER LEAGUE giants Manchester United and Arsenal have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Barcelona’s Ansu Fati. The two clubs have been monitoring Fati ahead of a potential summer move as they look to strengthen their forward lines.

But Barcelona president Joan Laporta has poured cold water on any chances of the forward leaving in the summer.
Laporta said: “We are not thinking of selling Ansu Fati as of now, he’s loved here, then I cannot predict the future.”
He added: “His agent told us there are clubs keen on signing Ansu Fati yes.”
“It is clear that he wants to succeed here at Barca.”
The summer arrivals of Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski along with Fati’s recovery from a long term injury have seen him given limited chances to impress.
The La Masia product has made 20 appearances in LaLiga this season scoring three goals as Xavi’s men lead Real Madrid by seven points.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano had previously reported that Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool were the Premier League clubs tracking Fati’s situation for this summer.
The Spaniard, who inherited the No10 shirt when Lionel Messi departed for PSG, is a versatile forward who can play in a number of positions across the front line.

Despite the Catalan giants pulling multiple financial levers they are still in deep financial trouble.
Fati has a £898million release clause in his contract but a big offer from any potential suitors could tempt Barcelona to cash in to ease their financial woes. More

England’s run to the semi-finals had people truly believing football was coming home… until another penalty shootout defeat to Germany.
The decade kicked off with Gazza’s tears at Italia ’90 in a devastating semi-final defeat to, guess who, Germany, on spot-kicks.
But there was a buzz about the game.
Football was intertwined with music and fashion.

The Gunners won the league in 1990-91 under George Graham, and again in 97-98 under Arsene Wenger.
They also finished runners-up to United in 98-99, the year the Red Devils won the treble.
Ferguson meanwhile guided the Red Devils to five titles, four FA Cups and the Champions League in a decade of dominance at Old Trafford.
But despite United’s supremacy, it was also an exciting time for the likes of Blackburn and Newcastle.
Under Kenny Dalglish, and with Alan Shearer leading the line, Blackburn finished runners-up in the 93-94 season.
Shearer and Co then went one better and lifted the Prem title in the following campaign.

The end of the decade saw Chelsea muscle their way onto the scene, even before Roman Abramovich arrived with his riches in 2003.
The Blues won the FA Cup in 96-97 under Ruud Gullit, with the likes of Dennis Wise, Mark Hughes, Roberto Di Matteo, Gianfranco Zola and Gianluca Vialli in the team.

The Everton legend recently picked up the challenge of League One side Forest Green Rovers last week, with the green-fingered club currently sitting firmly at the bottom of the table.

“My beloved Super Gran, I gave it to a guy I knew at the time, he liked pigeons as well and he wanted a pigeon for breeding.
“So about three or four months later I’ve gone round to the lad and asked him have you got my pigeon, he’d pulled the head off it.
