A new report in The Times has revealed that some player’s “harbour concerns” about Greenwood “coming back into the fold”.
The Three Lions ace is currently suspended by the club, pending an internal investigation.
It seems, though, that even if he is cleared by the probe, some of his fellow squad members have reservations about him joining back up with the team.
However, the report does add that “others would have no objection to it” based on the fact that Greenwood “has not been found guilty of anything”.

It comes after it was revealed that Manchester United’s women’s team are set against him running out at Old Trafford again.
According to reports in The Athletic, “the feeling is strong” amongst the team that Greenwood should be let go.
They cite an audio clip released on social media last January, which was alleged to be a recording of the player forcing himself on a woman.
This has apparently “disturbed” some players and made them “deeply uncomfortable” with the prospect of him pulling on the red jersey again.

Likewise, furious female United fans have demanded that he be released from his contract.
Meanwhile, The Sun Online recently revealed that Greenwood himself may have lost “millions” after being dropped by major striker Nike.
Similarly, any new club that takes him on if United release him, could expose themselves to a huge financial risk, according to a top PR expert.
It comes as it was discovered that a Champions League team had been “making enquiries” about picking up the young star if bosses in Manchester give him the boot.
There have also been rumours of a move to China in a drastic move to restart his career.
The charges against him were dropped earlier this month after key witnesses, including the woman at the centre of the case, withdrew.

Thierry Henry breaks down big mistake Erling Haaland is making at Man City as he says ‘he doesn’t help the team’

ARSENAL legend Thierry Henry has offered Erling Haaland some pointers on how he can improve.Haaland, 22, signed for Manchester City in the summer and has scored 31 goals in 29 games in all competitions already.
“It’s not always about goals, it’s about what you can bring for the team.”Thierry Henry reveals how Arsene Wenger influenced him and why Erling Haaland is tough to stop but predictable. 👀 pic.twitter.com/V6jnqfaYKr— CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) February 14, 2023

Despite his outrageous form, he has come under scrutiny from some for how isolated he can be in matches.
Premier League and Arsenal legend Henry has revealed how the Norwegian can improve, with the Frenchman revealing the advice was a special pointer from Arsene Wenger during his own career.
Speaking on CBS Sports Golazo’s coverage of the Champions League, Henry said: “We all know [if] you put the ball in the box, you feed him, you are dead.
“In the air, on the ground, whatever it is he [Haaland] will score.

“But there is one piece of advice that Arsene Wenger gave me when I was playing: ‘What can you do when your team is not feeding you?’
“We all know when Kevin De Bruyne has the ball, Kevin can find him in any way, so Arsene told me: ‘Ask yourself the right question, do you think Dennis Bergkamp can give you the ball the same way Freddie Ljungberg does?'”
Henry went on to detail how the players around him such as Robert Pires and Ljungberg liked to play and how he could complement them with his runs.
He then added: “I thought how can I enhance the skills of a player instead of showing his weaknesses.

“So for example, Kevin [De Bruyne] you can make that [far post run] but maybe Bernardo Silva likes a one-two.
“I think sometimes Haaland is making the same run whoever is on the ball… and sometimes he doesn’t help the team in terms of who is on the ball.”
Haaland was a doubt for Man City’s top of the table clash against Arsenal this evening but has recovered in time to be in the squad.
However, Thomas Partey is set to miss the game after picking up a muscular injury.
It is set to see Jorginho come into the starting XI make his full debut.
Henry was also flabbergasted after learning how much fellow CBS pundit Micah Richards spends on his hair. More

What is Gael Clichy up to now, and does he still play professional football?

GAEL CLICHY’S was centre stage for both Arsenal and Manchester City when they made Premier League title history. But life has since changed dramatically for the Frenchman ahead of his two old clubs meeting in Wednesday’s top-two clash.
Gael Clichy made title history with Arsenal and Man City and has done the same with a third club on the continentCredit: Instagram @gael.clichy
Clichy, 37, was one of the Gunners’ Invincibles when they won the top-flight without defeat in 2003-4.
And eight years later he was part of City’s first-ever Prem champions.
In other words, few players have been so involved, so prestigiously, for BOTH clubs.
In fact, perhaps only current Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, who was Pep Guardiola’s No2 at City, has had such an important role in both camps in modern times.
    READ MORE ON ARSENAL
Incredibly, too, Clichy has stepped into title history with a THIRD team after leaving England six years ago.
    WHAT’S HIS ARSENAL CV?
The attacking left-back, who won 20 caps, joined Arsenal from Cannes in 2003.
After winning the Prem so momentously the following year, he lifted the FA Cup in 2005.
But he was a non-playing sub when Barcelona beat the Gunners 2-1 in the Champions League final at Stade de France.

Shortly afterwards, Ashley Cole controversially left for Chelsea – boosting his game-time just in time for the club’s move to the Emirates.
But in July 2011 City snapped Clichy up for around £7million.
HOW DID IT GO AT THE ETIHAD?
Clichy soon took Aleksandar Kolarov’s first-choice spot on the left of defence – and went on to taste Prem glory after one of the most famous final days in English football history.
He played the whole game as two stoppage-time goals nicked the title from neighbours United with a 3-2 home victory over QPR.

That was the club’s first top-flight title since 1968 and their debut triumph since its rebrand to the Prem in 1992.
But Clichy was left “fuming” when soaked by a fan’s beer as players and 2,000 supporters gathered for a ten-year anniversary event last May.
Clichy also landed a league winner’s medal in 2014, plus twice winning the EFL Cup, before leaving for Turkey in July 2017.
    WHAT HAPPENED IN ISTANBUL?
Amazingly, Clichy was also in the spotlight at a landmark moment for İstanbul Başakşehir.
He ended his three-year spell  in 2020 by helping the capital club lift their first ever top-level league crown.
Clichy even set up the only goal of the game as they crucially beat Kayserispor on the penultimate day of that campaign.
    WHERE IS HE PLAYING NOW?
The Toulouse-born star moved to Swiss Super League side Servette on a free transfer in December 2020.
    And he’s still performing consistently.

Three ways Man Utd could line up against Barcelona with injury concerns and two key stars SUSPENDED

ERIK TEN HAG faces a huge selection dilemma when Manchester United face Barcelona on Thursday. This is because usual starters Lisandro Martinez and Marcel Sabitzer are both suspended for the first leg after both picked up three yellow cards in the Europa and Champions League group stages respectively.
How Man Utd could line up against Barcelona
Injuries to Antony, Scott McTominay and Anthony Martial also limit Ten Hag’s choices further, with Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beel long-term absentees.
With this in mind, SunSport have taken a look at how Man Utd could line up for the tie.
The first and most likely line up will see Casemiro return to defensive midfield alongside Fred.
Harry Maguire will also partner Raphael Varane in defence after he was rested in the 2-0 win at Leeds, with Luke Shaw shifted back out at left-back in front of David De Gea.

Jadon Sancho will continue his comeback by appearing on the right flank in support of Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Wout Weghorst.
An alternative starting XI could see Victor Lindelof play on the left of the defence with Tyrell Malacia at left-back.
Super sub Alejandro Garncho will also come back into the starting XI in favour of Sancho.
But this will likely push Rashford to the right wing once again – despite his relative ineffectiveness there.

However, Ten Hag has been known to experiment with his teams.
He could consequently shake up the team by utilising a few players in different positions.
A return to the Leeds back line with Varane replacing the suspended Martinez alongside left centre-back Shaw could beckon for the Red Devils.
Lindelof could also come into defensive midfield alongside Casemiro for a more defensive minded set-up.
Ten Hag recently spoke about the Swede’s ability to play as a defensive midfielder.
He said: “He was educated as a six, a control, holding midfielder in Benfica, I know he can do that.
“We tried it in training, maybe one game, I want my centre halves in midfield positions so we create dynamics to construct more dynamic.”
In the attacking four, Fernandes could be shifted to the right-wing – where he has often been deployed towards the end of games – while Weghorst comes into the number 10.
The move was hailed as “genius” by fans as it helped United unlock the Leeds defence, with Rashford looking far more potent playing just in front of him as the sides most advanced forward.

Lewis Hamilton breaks silence on Man Utd takeover bid amid claims he could be part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s offer

SIR LEWIS HAMILTON has opened up about his friendship with Sir Jim Ratcliffe ahead of a potential Manchester United takeover. The seven-time Formula One world champion, 38, was part of a consortium that failed in an attempt to buy Chelsea following Roman Abramovich’s departure last year.

Ratcliffe, 70, also failed in his last-gasp attempt to buy the Blues before Todd Boehly took over at Stamford Bridge.
Instead, Britain’s richest man turned his attention to Man Utd and expressed an interest in buying the club just a few months later.
Hamilton, who is close friends with Ratcliffe, hinted that he wanted to work with the Manchester-born businessman in September, fuelling rumours that he could be involved with the potential takeover.
Ratcliffe’s company, INEOS, is a one-third equal shareholder in the F1 team alongside Mercedes-Benz AG and Toto Wolff.

But Hamilton, who is an Arsenal fan, has admitted that he doesn’t know much information on the attempt to buy United.
He said: “I’m very close with Jim so I’m aware of where he is at and we talk a lot about football as he’s very passionate about it.
“We have great discussions about whatever his team is doing.
“We talk about how Arsenal is playing, obviously he’s from Manchester so that’s his dream home, it’s where he’s come from, but there’s no further information I can give you on that.”

Hamilton dismissed all F1 retirement rumours on Wednesday during the launch of Mercedes’ brand-new W14.
He said: “I know I’ve been here a long time. It’s the combined energy of all the individuals in the team.
“I love being a part of a team that’s working towards a common goal. I continue to love racing, I think that’s never going to change as it is part of my DNA.
“I always believe that I can get better. I always love that challenge of the mental and the physical element of it and having to deep dive and see how you can extract more performance.” More

Kevin De Bruyne is enduring a lean spell in Dream Team by his high standards – should his backers be twitchy?

LET’S preface this article with a simple statement: Kevin De Bruyne (£6.7m) is one of the best midfielders of his generation and one of the greatest players to ever grace the Premier League. It’s because of this reputation that Dream Team gaffers hold the Belgian to an immensely high standard.
All things considered, he is living up to lofty expectations this season having banked 135 points to date.
At the time of writing, Bruno Fernandes (£5.9m) is the only midfielder with a higher tally and his lead is a slender one at four points.
That being said, it can’t be denied that De Bruyne is enduring something of a lean spell of late.
    Stick or twist?
He’s mustered 12 points in eight outings since the start of Game Week 16 – Manchester City have played ten fixtures in that time frame.
During this time, he’s averaged 1.5 points-per-game which is represents a significant drop-off from his healthy season average of 4.8.
The 31-year-old has provided two assists during this relatively barren patch so it’s not like his owners have been totally starved of goal involvements but, given his price, his recent returns are a cause for concern.
Contrast De Bruyne’s form with the aforementioned Fernandes and Riyad Mahrez (£5.7m).
Man United’s Portuguese playmaker has earned a whopping 72 points since the start of Game Week 16 while City’s Algerian winger has added 70 points to his total.

Any Dream Team gaffers that replaced De Bruyne with either of these options last month would have been rewarded with massive gains.
Things haven’t gone De Bruyne’s way in recent weeks from a Dream Team perspectiveCredit: GETTY
It’s only natural that De Bruyne’s backers will now be debating the best course of action going forward.
A decent showing from the strawberry-blonde creator in tonight’s mouthwatering top-of-the-table clash at the Emirates between Pep Guardiola’s men and Arsenal would likely take him back to the top of the midfield rankings.
And history is on De Bruyne’s side – he’s rarely kept quiet for long.
His tally of 16 assists in all competitions so far in 2022/23 would be freakish for most players but it’s what fans have come to expect from a player whose crossing and eye for a killer pass is unparalleled.
He’s only scored three goals this season which represents a decline from last term when he scored 19, his best-ever campaign in that regard.
However, only Kieran Trippier (£6.6m) has earned more Star Man awards (seven) than De Bruyne’s six.
This conundrum is affecting 45.5% of Dream Team managers – only Trippier and Erling Haaland (£8.8m) are more popular currently.
