Liverpool are gunning for revenge from May’s 1-0 defeat in Paris and Klopp has been boosted by back-to-back Premier League wins against Everton and Newcastle.
He said: “I hadn’t watched the final again until the weekend.
“Then I realised immediately why I hadn’t watched it back — because it was proper torture.
“We played a good game and could have won the game.

“And that is the decisive word, ‘could’… they scored a decisive goal and we didn’t.
“Real do not worry when other teams have a chance and they do not lose confidence. They know their chance will come. They are a team we can learn from.
“But we have now had two wins. We feel it, we see it. It helps the mood massively.
“Four weeks ago it would have been different but life is all about timing.

“We need to play two super games to go through. We have to be at our best to stand a chance.
“For Real Madrid it is different — even if they don’t play their best they still stand a chance.
“That’s what is special about them.”
Klopp is hoping for a red-hot atmosphere at Anfield, knowing that his side may need all the help they can get.
He said: “I can’t wait for the game.
“Going to the Bernabeu will be tough too. But who cares? It is the Champions League.
“One of the biggest games in the world.
“It will be a top game and I’m happy we can play now. I expect Anfield on their toes. I am really happy for the fans, that they saw us in a better shape the last couple of games — that they have a bit more to look forward to. Let’s go together again.”
Liverpool’s main injury worry is over striker Darwin Nunez, who suffered a shoulder issue against Newcastle.
He is likely to need a late fitness test but he did train on Monday.
Klopp said: “We have to see how he can deal with the pain.”
Los Blancos will be without two key midfield stars as both Aurelien Tchouameni and Toni Kroos are sidelined through illness.
Left-back Ferland Mendy was already out, having missed the last month with a thigh issue.

Man Utd season ticket prices go UP for first time in 11 years as fans say they should be ‘reduced’ and slam ‘parasites’

MANCHESTER UNITED have increased their season ticket prices for the first time in 11 years.Supporters have slammed the club in a furious backlash to the five per cent rise for adult season tickets.

It follows the news that Arsenal have also raised their prices for the 2023-24 campaign by the same amount.
United blamed the increase on the “escalating cost of matchday delivery” and is “necessary to allow the club to operate on a sustainable basis” – despite share prices soaring by £334million in just one day last week.
The club added: “We understand that our fans are also facing pressure from increased living costs and that is why we have kept price increases well below the current rate of inflation.”
But supporters took to social media to vent their anger.

One said: “Given increases in TV revenue, they should be reduced.”
Another labelled the club as “parasites” while a third wrote: “Repairs to the roof and concourses have also been frozen for 11 years.”

One supporter commented: “I don’t like this. New directors joining the club, changes to season ticket prices. This doesn’t scream like the glazers are selling.”
Another typed: “MUFC up for sale and are now increasing season ticket prices for the first time in 11 years. Nothing like milking it so they can push sale price up!”

And a final user sarcastically added: “Rightly so. The fabulous new improvements we’re all enjoying at Old Trafford need to be paid for somehow.”
The shock move on ticket prices comes amid claims the Glazer family, who thousands of United fans regularly protest against, are demanding a whopping £6billion to sell the club.
And that casts major doubt on rival offers of up to £5bn from Qatari Sheikh Jassim Bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
American hedge fund giants Elliott are also offering to stump up a package for a figurehead who wants to front any bid.
But one insider said: “It’s still not clear if the Glazers actually want to sell and — if they do — it will only be for top dollar.”
Gary Neville also fears the American family will try to retain a significant stake in the Red Devils.
Neville said: “There is a focus this isn’t one big charade that the Glazers are running for their brothers and sisters to exit and the couple that want to stay in to stay.
“The whole emphasis from fans is this has to be the end of the Glazer ownership.
“They’ve run out of money and not invested in the stadium.
“The fans want a new stadium — whether that’s Old Trafford refurbished or a new one built.

‘It will make things very difficult’ – Gary Neville warns Arsenal over new issue that could prevent them winning title

GARY NEVILLE has warned that Arsenal will find it ‘really difficult’ to win the Premier League if recent defensive issues continue for the rest of the season. The Gunners are looking to get their hands on the Premier League trophy for the first time since 2004.

Mikel Arteta’s men conceded 16 goals in the first 19 games of the season but have shipped 12 in their last six in all competitions.
Arsenal came from behind twice to beat Aston Villa 4-2 at Villa Park having lost 3-1 to Manchester City recently.
It turned out to be a good weekend for the north London side as closest challengers City dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
Sky Sports pundit Neville insisted it was a ‘good weekend’ for Arsenal but warned their title challenge could falter if they keep leaking goals.

Speaking on his Sky Sports podcast Neville said: ” One thing I would say though is that Arsenal have conceded 12 goals in the last six games.
“One of the traits of a run-in is if you’re conceding goals and teams think they have a chance of scoring, it’s very difficult to win a league, it really is.
“They just need to watch that. This weekend will give them confidence and if they can get back to some clean sheets that will be really important.”
Neville concluded: “Conceding goals is something they just need to watch out for because that will make things very difficult for them.”

It appeared that Arsenal’s title charge was faltering as they trailed at Villa having already lost to Everton and Manchester City and dropped points to Brentford in their last three games.
Arteta’s men responded superbly and fought back to beat Unai Emery’s men and return to the top of the table.
Arsenal are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Leicester City. More

Thiago Silva’s wife incredibly ‘likes’ tweet blasting Chelsea boss Graham Potter as ‘deadbeat, tactless coach’

THIAGO SILVA’S wife has ‘liked’ a tweet blasting Graham Potter as a “deadbeat coach”. The Blues boss is coming under increasing pressure over Chelsea’s underwhelming results which hit their lowest point on Saturday with defeat against managerless Southampton.
After a run of league draws, defeat against Southampton has once again left the spotlight on Chelsea’s managerCredit: PA
Belle, or Isabelle, Silva is rarely shy when it comes to giving her opinion on Thiago’s clubCredit: Instagram @bellesilva
This is the tweet that Belle, Thiago’s wife, has liked on Twitter
Boos reigned down on Stamford Bridge at full-time after James Ward-Prowse’s fantastic first-half free-kick gave bottom of the table Saints an unlikely away win.
While some fans continue to argue Potter needs more time, others have began taking aim at the former Brighton boss.
And Belle Silva has hit the like button on one of the more critical tweets that has been sent regarding the under-fire manager.
One fan asked her on Twitter: “Can you ask [Thiago] Silva to coach our club himself because we have a deadbeat tacticless coach who doesn’t know what he is doing.

“He doesn’t even understand that is Chelsea football club – he thinks he is still at Brighton.”
Belle has not been shy about giving her opinion previously regarding the club – during the both the good times and the bad.
She tweeted out the lyrics to Chelsea’s anthem “Blue is the colour” when it was announced that Silva had signed a contract extension.
Earlier this year she also took aim at Blues fans for booing following defeat against Man City.

It’s been a very difficult 2023 for the club with only a single win to show for 10 games in all competitions.
January also saw an unprecedented amount of money spent and players recruited with the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Enzo Fernandez bought in to reverse the club’s fortunes.
But the squad has yet to gel and a high-quality goalscorer is visibly missing.
With Potter’s job still reportedly safe, Chelsea have a trip to bitter rivals Tottenham up next week before a home game against Leeds and the return leg of their Champions League last 16 tie against Dortmund. More

Liverpool are NOT for sale after huge U-turn by FSG as John Henry makes rare public statement

LIVERPOOL are NOT for sale any more.Principal owner John W Henry and chairman Tom Werner announced in November they were “exploring a sale” of the Anfield club.

The Reds are valued at around £3.7billion – a massive increase from the £300million FSG bought the club for in 2010.
But despite some reported interest there have been no bids or high-level talks over a sale.
The Qataris were said to be keen to explore a purchase but pulled out when it became clear the Americans were unwilling to give up majority control in any sale – and therefore turned their attention to buying Manchester United.
And now Henry has confirmed Fenway Sports Group’s U-turn to keep hold of the six-time Champions League winners.

FSG, though, are still open to new investment for Liverpool as they hope to attract a ‘strategic partner’, the Liverpool Echo reports.
In a rare public statement, the American said: “I know there has been a lot of conversation and quotes about Liverpool Football Club, but I keep to the facts: we merely formalized an ongoing process.
“Will we be in England forever? No. Are we selling LFC? No. Are talking with investors about LFC? Yes.
“Will something happen there? I believe so, but it won’t be a sale. Have we sold anything in the past 20-plus years?”

Henry made the comments alongside wife Linda, Werner and FSG CEO Sam Kennedy on the first day of Boston Red Sox training in Florida.
Newcastle and Chelsea have both undergone mega-money takeovers in the last two years, while United look set to follow suit in the coming months.

And Liverpool fans frustrated with FSG’s ownership – despite sustained success on the field in recent years – welcomed the news of their potential sale last year even with Werner’s warnings.
Werner told the Boston Globe: “We’re exploring a sale, but there’s no urgency, no time frame for us.
“And as far as I’m concerned, it’s business as usual. One outcome could be our continued stewardship for quite a while.”
