Man Utd share prices COLLAPSE because ‘there is a feeling the Glazers will NOT sell and club’s only worth £1.3billion’

A “FEELING that the Glazer family will NOT sell Manchester United” has reportedly led to the club’s share price plummeting by almost ten per cent. The Red Devils are only worth around £1.3BILLION according to new analysis – significantly less than the Glazers’ rumoured asking price.

The Glazer family have been exploring a sale since the end of last year, but are yet to receive the £6bn they want.
Qatar’s Sheikh Jassim wants to buy the club either in its entirety now, or not at all.
He, as well as boyhood Man United fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe, are both set to have initial bids rejected by the Glazers.
Bidders are currently waiting to hear back from The Raine Group, the bank overseeing the possible sale.

The market value of United, who won the Carabao Cup at Wembley on Sunday in front of Avram Glazer, was thought to be at around £3.75bn. Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s bids were believed to be in this region.
However fresh reports in the Financial Times have had a big impact on their shareholders and the price of stock.

Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol said: “The share price has fallen by almost 10 per cent and I think the reasons behind that are down to two reports in the Financial Times this weekend.
“The first one said that Manchester United are not worth the £5bn that the Glazers are looking for if they were to sell Manchester United as, according to the FT, United are worth £1.3bn. Much less than anyone had thought before.

“There was also another report on Saturday which said that the bidders for Manchester United had so far not offered enough money to tempt the Glazers to sell.
“If the Glazers were to sell then the two bidders that we know about, Sheikh Jassim from Qatar and Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS company, would have to increase their bids.
“This has all led to a sense that the Glazers will not sell Manchester United.”
Solhekol reiterated: “What’s happened is that the traders, the people who own shares, the value of them shares has gone down today because there is a feeling that the Glazers might not sell.
“And if they are not going to sell, Man United is not worth £6bn, £7bn and it could be worth closer to what the Financial Times is saying, which is £1.3bn.
“That is why the share price has gone down today.
“Forget what has happened on the football pitch, if you’re an investor all that matters is are the Glazers going to sell the club and how much is the club worth, and at the moment, there seems to be a feeling that the Glazers are not going to sell the club.”
He added: “The Glazers have never come out and said ‘we want to sell Manchester United’. They’ve been very clever about it.

“In November they said that they were exploring alternative strategies, potentially that could lead to a sale.
“But you could make the argument that United are playing so well at the moment, winning trophies again, is it really a good time sell? Maybe the clever thing to do is hold on to the club but just sell a small stake and use the money in redeveloping the stadium and training ground.”

But Arteta remained coy on the Brazilian’s progress when asked about him prior to their 1-0 win over Leicester.
He said: “He’s progressing well. Doing more and more on the field. The knee’s not reacting so it’s really positive.

“We want him back as quick as possible, but also respecting the timescale that the doctors and the specialists are giving us.”
Jesus contributed five goals and seven assists in 20 appearances before his injury.
But Nketiah has been an impressive replacement, netting nine times in all competitions.

ARSENAL fans have gone wild for Jakub Kiwior’s “insane” passing. That’s after their January signing from Spezia put in an impressive display for the U21s last night.

Kiwior, 23, was snapped up by Mikel Arteta last month for £21million.
And the Poland international looks set to have a bright future at the Emirates as he waits to make his first senior appearance.
But Kiwior, whose fiancee is a super-flexible twerk queen, got a chance to strut his stuff in yesterday’s U21 clash against Chelsea.
The centre-back started the 1-0 defeat at Kingsmeadow but put in an accomplished performance.

However, it was his passing that caught the eye of eager Arsenal fans, with Kiwior picking out a teammate on the right wing with pinpoint accuracy.
One fan said: “My jaw dropped when I saw this.”
Another declared: “That’s an insane pass.”
One noted: “If you think an U21 game is going to convince me that Kiwior will be the greatest ball-playing CB in the world… you’re absolutely right.”

Another added: “We lack a defender who can accurately deliver long passes like that.
“I remember Arteta saying Kiwior is going to redefine our style of play. Imagine a counter attack with him supplying Martinelli or Saka with long balls like that.”
Kiwior wasn’t the only senior player to make an impression for Arsenal’s U21s last night.
Emile Smith Rowe was also in action after an injury-packed season.
The winger, 22, has played just 63 minutes for the first-team after undergoing groin surgery in September.
He then suffered a thigh injury on his return in January’s FA Cup win over Oxford, keeping him out for another six weeks.
And Smith Rowe has now seen new signing Leandro Trossard move ahead of him in the rankings. More

Three 19-year-olds Zidane Iqbal, Rhys Bennett, and Radek Videk were also involved, highlighting the age gap to Heaton which fans found hilarious.

How Newcastle could line up after £250m transfer spree with Carabao Cup final heartbreak sparking summer rebuild

NEWCASTLE UNITED are reportedly set to go on a huge summer transfer spree after their Wembley heartbreak on Sunday. The Magpies were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final thanks to goals from Casemiro and an own goal from Sven Botman.

And that meant that the North East club’s 54-year long wait for a trophy continued.
With the backing of the mega-rich Saudi’s, supporters remain optimistic that better days lay ahead for the Toon.
Especially with co-owner Jamie Reuben tweeting afterwards: “We will be back stronger and better.”
Now i News is stating that “the resolve is there in the black and white corner, along with cash stumped up” to get Newcastle up with the big boys.

And that a big summer transformation “might land them with a £250m bill” if they bring in a number of additions designed to take Eddie Howe’s side to the next level.
We reported previously how Leicester City’s James Maddison is their No.1 transfer target.
The 26-year-old playmaker has been in sensational form this term in the Premier League and has caught the eye of Newcastle and Tottenham.
The Magpies lodged two bids worth £40million and £45m last summer but had both rejected.

Since then Maddison has gone on to enjoy a fine campaign with the struggling Foxes and earned a place in Gareth Southgate’s England World Cup squad.
Despite talks set to restart with Leicester over a new deal, Howe still hopes to bring the attacker to Tyneside.
Speculation has also mounted that Toon will launch another transfer bid for Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby after failing to prise the 23-year-old winger to Tyneside last summer.
Despite their impressive defensive record, there have also been reports that Howe wants to strengthen his backline.
Question marks have been raised over fan favourite Dan Burn at left-back, and that could potentially see a new arrival in that position.
One man who may be available is Joao Cancelo, who is currently impressing on loan at Bayern Munich after a fall-out with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola last month.

SunSport understands that the shock deal included an option to buy the 28-year-old at the end of the season for around £61.5m.
However, if Newcastle come knocking then the Portuguese star could have something to think about.
The injury records of Alexander Isak and Callum Wilson have also hindered the Magpies at times.

And they could also join the countless other clubs in the chase to sign Napoli hotshot Victor Osimhen.

Despite being an Arsenal fan, she was there with her Newcastle-supporting family and was invited to a pre-match dinner with the likes of Alan Shearer.
Plenty of former players were there and Woods, 35, awkwardly failed to recognise an ex-Toon defender.
Woods recalled on talkSPORT that she was approached by Ryan Taylor and didn’t realise it was him.
She explained: “I had a very awkward moment.

Fulham to face Leeds in front of thousands of empty seats despite being 6th after taking fans for mugs with £40 tickets

FULHAM are sixth in the Premier League and tonight they could reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup for the first time in 13 years when they face Leeds at home. And yet Craven Cottage, sold out for every league match this season, will have thousands of empty seats.
Craven Cottage will have plenty of empty seats for the Leeds FA Cup clashCredit: Reuters
With the match televised live on BBC, that is an embarrassment for the club and a hindrance to boss Marco Silva and his team, while several journalists will write misguided pieces about the Cup losing its pulling power.
But when you charge a minimum £40 per adult to punters who have already shelled out for season tickets, that is what you’ll get.
There is a cost-of-living crisis, even in ‘posh’ Fulham.
Clubs cannot take supporters for mugs and assume loyalty is limitless.

Silva has enjoyed a superb return to the Premier League – with a whopping tally of 39 points from 25 games.
That sees the Cottagers above Liverpool as well as West London rivals Brentford and Chelsea as we approach the business end.
But knowing he can take his side within 90 minutes of Wembley with victory over Leeds, the Portuguese boss is determined to make it through – even if the stadium is far from full.
Silva said: “It’s really important for us, this competition, and we really want to play the quarter-final. That’s what we want.

Ten Hag told me I’m a top centre back and I’m ready to lead Man Utd to plenty more trophies, says Harry Maguire

HE may have only enjoyed a few minutes of action but Harry Maguire was not going to let that spoil the moment. The Manchester United centre-back is club captain after all and despite the fact he has lost his first-team place, the Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle was still a big moment for him.

Some may have taken to social media to scoff at the fact he was lifting the trophy with Bruno Fernandes, who had the armband on Sunday, having had such little involvement.
But Maguire — who came on as an 88th-minute sub at Wembley — has not moaned about his lot, or sought a move, unlike one United star of the recent past.
He has ignored the criticism, kept his head down, supported his team-mates, performed when called upon and will not give up on the quest to get back into the first XI.
So, yes, he was going to enjoy the moment.

Maguire, who started in two earlier rounds of the competition, insisted: “I don’t have any mixed emotions. It’s been so long since the club won a trophy, it’s a really good day for the club and fans.
“I am club captain and my main job is to move this club forward and to bring success back to the club — and this has been part of it.
“I want to play and I want to lead the boys out but I also understand this is part and parcel of football at the top level and you have got huge competition.
“I also want to contribute to the team. I have a big responsibility on and off the pitch, so it was nice to get on and help the lads. It was an important win for us.”

It shows how far United have come that the battle to get a starting place in the back four is so tough for Maguire.
Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez are the preferred pairing and have been in excellent form.
Erik ten Hag likes to utilise Luke Shaw in there, too, while Victor Lindelof has also got the nod ahead of Maguire.
But the manager has been positive behind the scenes with England regular Maguire about his role at the club and how much he still believes in him.
Maguire, 29, said: “He has been asked numerous times in interviews about my role and he tells me he believes in me — but this is football.
“Rapha is playing really well and the manager does like a left-footed centre-back playing, so it’s high competition for places.
The manager speaks to me daily and he really respects meHarry Maguire
“This is Manchester United. We want to win trophies, and big trophies, and to do that you need competition for places.
“The manager speaks to me daily and he really respects me and believes that I am a top centre-half with all the attributes to play in his team.
“But also, he understands that the players who are playing are playing very well — and I understand that, too.”
It is that positive attitude, even from players not involved, that Maguire believes is helping forge the spirit at the club right now. No sulking, no cliques.
He said: “The mood is really good. The lads get on well and are a tight bunch. There is a good spirit with everyone contributing.
“The lads who aren’t playing, myself included, are working hard and pushing those who are playing, to perform well — and they are. That is what a big club’s about. What is being built here is why we are in all four competitions.”
United’s first trophy in six years and the first of the Ten Hag era really feels like a huge corner has been turned.
Of course, we have been here before under previous managers Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, only for things to go into reverse. This time, though, it really does feel different.
The belief in the squad, the players, the staff is the reason why we are moving forwardHarry Maguire
Maguire, an £85million signing from Leicester in 2019, added: “When I first came to this club, it felt like we had turned a corner, then we had a bad season and things changed again.
“If you spoke to the manager, he would tell you he has great confidence in his tools and his work and the squad he is building in terms of the players and staff. They are behind him.
“The belief in the squad, the players, the staff is the reason why we are moving forward.
“I think winning games breeds confidence and a good atmosphere among the fans and the club. We are all pulling in the same direction.
“We all want the same thing, we have got a good squad, good competition for places and the manager’s made a big impact on the style of play and in the demands he brings.”
The impact of winning a first trophy under the new boss, even if it is fourth on the priority list, cannot be underestimated.Of course, there are still another three pots United are playing for this season.
On Wednesday night the Red Devils host West Ham in the fifth round of the FA Cup and, last week, they got past Barcelona to reach the last 16 of the Europa League.
The title is not beyond the bounds of possibility either. The gap to leaders Arsenal is eight points with 14 games to go.
Maguire said: “Coming back from the World Cup, we have started to play really well.
